DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called Corey for an estimate on July 1, 2024. He just had taken over his father's company. He made many mistakes on the quote along with sending me a quote that jumped up in price and of course there was a problem with this formula. Waited days to get that fixed. Then there was a problem with the delivery. We were promised the shutters at the end of August - then the 1st delay came -then promised in September- then the 2nd delay- then at end of October, they we only partially installed by a horrible crew that left all of the packing tape on the shutters along with making a huge mess in every window seal and on all the floors. They left gaps behind some of the shutters and smeared caulking all over the walls. At the end of January 2025 the doors FINALLY came in - but Corey had the wrong door handles and had to be taken back and fixed. With all the delays and the horrible installers, Corey promised me a refund in February 5th. I texted him about my refund and his response was, "We are waiting on checks." I have never left a review , but I had to share my experience so that no one else goes through this horrible experience using Boyd's Blinds! read more

He explained choices and was knowledgeable about the shutters in the other parts of the house. I chose the longer wait. John was the installer and again so professional and efficient. Obsessed with Boyd's Blinds - the process was fab from beginning to end! I requested a quote on Yelp and Boyd himself was out at our house the next day. He measured all of the windows and came back with the most competitive quote that we received. Plus, he is super friendly and definitely knows what he is doing. His wood shutters are custom made locally and of the best quality. That said, the shutters did take about 8 weeks to be completed, but they were worth the wait! We also had them install some wood blinds on our side rooms and a cool shade on our front door that is mostly glass and very exposed. Those came our perfectly as well! I love the front door shade (I was hesitant about it at first). Now to shutter install day - the team arrived right on schedule and the shutters look AMAZING! I am obsessed. We have an older ranch home that has been remodeled but some of the window frames are funky (Wider at the top than the bottom, etc.), and they cut them perfectly to fit - you'd never know! Late making the review, but wanted to add some stars for this company. Boyd's installed our entire home with wood plantation shutters back in the fall of 2020. We were in a new build home, with only wax paper covering the windows for privacy. Was bummed about the wait time, but these were custom made for each window of various sizes, and it was the year of COVID, so it was reasonable. We had ordered sometime early September and was so excited when we received a call earlier in the week asking if they could install on Thanksgiving day! Could not believe that they were working on a holiday! Beautiful and sturdy, we could not be happier! They were so worth the wait! We were so impressed watching the installation, taking their time making sure each window was hung with perfection, caulking the crooked framing of the house when needed. After my grandparents used Boyd a few years ago for their shutters, I knew just where to turn when purchasing my own bare windowed home this fall. I wasn't sure Boyd would be able to work with me since I live in California now, but he was more than accommodating. He was available several times for lengthy phone calls to ensure I measured correctly. I was able to see samples when I was visiting home for the holidays. We chose easy to install cellular shades since my husband would be the one putting them up. Once our shades arrived Boyd provided step by step FaceTime instructions so that we could get them installed correctly. Such an over the top gesture. I was looking for a reputable company to install blinds on all 17 windows in my home. I found a "deal" in a magazine and checked yelp before I called the company. Thank goodness for yelp because I discovered they had awful customer service etc etc. That led me to yelp a different blinds company, which led me to Boyd's Blinds. Again, thank goodness for yelp!!! Boyd came out and gave us a bid for 11 custom shutters. We also got another quote from another company which was higher than Boyd's quote but this wasn't the only reason we went with Boyd. You deal directly with Boyd himself and his shutters are made in his own shop. He has complete control over the entire process. He quoted us 8 weeks to install after we ordered but we got a surprise phone call 6 weeks in and they were ready. Boyd sent out a couple young men for the install and they got right at it and did a beautiful and clean job in no time. ZERO.... still waiting for my blinds to keep the 115 degree heat out of my house.... So, blinds now installed. Due to being too busy manufacturer failed to deliver on time I was told.
