Obsessed with Boyd's Blinds - the process was fab from beginning to end! I requested a quote on Yelp and Boyd himself was out at our house the next day. He measured all of the windows and came back with the most competitive quote that we received. Plus, he is super friendly and definitely knows what he is doing. His wood shutters are custom made locally and of the best quality. That said, the shutters did take about 8 weeks to be completed, but they were worth the wait! We also had them install some wood blinds on our side rooms and a cool shade on our front door that is mostly glass and very exposed. Those came our perfectly as well! I love the front door shade (I was hesitant about it at first). Now to shutter install day - the team arrived right on schedule and the shutters look AMAZING! I am obsessed. We have an older ranch home that has been remodeled but some of the window frames are funky (Wider at the top than the bottom, etc.), and they cut them perfectly to fit - you'd never know! They also drilled into our block walls, no problem. Thank you for making my window covering dreams come true, Boyd! Now our neighbors can't watch our every move from morning to night. ha! read more

Boyd's Blinds has been a lifesaver! I thought our projects were going to be too small for them to care about but, thankfully, I was wrong. We needed both repairs and new work done. They came out before, during and after our new window installations to remove shutters and reinstall them. The price for the work was very reasonable. I will definitely use them again. read more

I would give them 10 stars if able. Great service great product and very fair pricing. I wish every company I dealt with was like this. Would make life more enjoyable. Corey was great read more

I am extremely impressed with this company - and with their staff member Corey. My shutter was broken, and it wasn't an easy repair. Corey removed the shutter, took it to his shop, repaired it and returned it the same day for a great price. I will only be using this company moving forward. read more

Everything went well with the ordering, measuring, and installation. Had an issue with one of the blinds and Corey did respond and is working to fix the issue. Reassuring that he wanted to be attentive even after the install. read more

Very professional company measured the blinds installed everything on the schedule. We wanted to change the color a little bit and they took the blinds down changed the color and put them all back up in the same day. They are truly amazing. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called Corey for an estimate on July 1, 2024. He just had taken over his father's company. He made many mistakes on the quote along with sending me a quote that jumped up in price and of course there was a problem with this formula. Waited days to get that fixed. Then there was a problem with the delivery. We were promised the shutters at the end of August - then the 1st delay came -then promised in September- then the 2nd delay- then at end of October, they we only partially installed by a horrible crew that left all of the packing tape on the shutters along with making a huge mess in every window seal and on all the floors. They left gaps behind some of the shutters and smeared caulking all over the walls. At the end of January 2025 the doors FINALLY came in - but Corey had the wrong door handles and had to be taken back and fixed. With all the delays and the horrible installers, Corey promised me a refund in February 5th. I texted him about my refund and his response was, "We are waiting on checks." I have never left a review , but I had to share my experience so that no one else goes through this horrible experience using Boyd's Blinds! read more

If you need blinds in the Valley just stop looking and call them. We just had an install after being screwed around with by another company for over 6 months. When we called Boyd's things got much better. Corey came out -- on time. Gave us an estimate, a timeframe, and then delivered with high quality blinds we picked out coming in within weeks. The install was on time, professional, and well done. And the price was actually far less than the other place we tried first for the same or better product. Highly recommend! read more

The process takes a bit of time, but definable worth it. Corey came out and did the measurements. Super nice and efficient. He explained choices and was knowledgeable about the shutters in the other parts of the house. I chose the longer wait. John was the installer and again so professional and efficient. I joked about having to be tall to work here as both he and Corey are quite tall. I couldn't be more pleased with these shutters. What a difference from my cat clawed cellular shades. Highest recommendation. read more

I had wood shutters custom made by Boyd's Blinds. Boyd was awesome. I was able to specify exactly what I needed all the way down to special paint for my health needs. Perfect wood shutters were made for me. I'm ready to have more made because I love the shutters Boyd made for my home. read more

We just had a fabulous experience with Boyd's Blinds. After going through hell with a previous provider that wasted 6 months of our time, I called Boyd's Blinds and had Corey come out for an estimate. He was on-time and got the measurements completed quickly. The price was a fraction of what we previously ordered and of a higher quality. The promised time to get the blinds in was about three weeks and they came in on time. We just had our installation yesterday with Jonathon and the blinds look great! I would highly recommend using these guys for quality materials, great prices, and keeping their promises. read more

My house recently flooded, and the blinds didn't really make it through being taken down and being put back up. I immediately contacted Corey and Boyd Miller! Corey came over, did the measurements, was extremely knowledgeable, and transparent about time frames. On Thursday morning, they had the installer come out, and my roommate said it took no time at all! I went around testing everything this morning, and I'm so happy with how they all turned out This was a 4 month process, so if you're impatient, go another avenue. But the wait was definitely worth it! Thank you Boyd's Blinds!! read more

Requested a quote for our new house. Corey was quick to respond and come out for the estimate. I will definitely be using Boyd's Blinds for all future window coverings! read more

I utilized Boyds Blinds for my shutter needs and could not be happier with the outcome. From start to finish Boyd was great. He always showed up as scheduled, he was very helpful with all questions, and most importantly, provided amazing shutters. My family loves the shutters and appreciates not having to hide when taking a shower now. :) On a side note and to describe Boyds character, he called me to schedule install a few days down the road and I asked if there was anyway we could have the install done on a Saturday before the Super Bowl. I really wanted my entire family to see our home finished. Boyd called me a little while later and made it happen. He knew how important it was to me and he got the job done. Great guy and great company. You can't go wrong. read more

Late making the review, but wanted to add some stars for this company. Boyd's installed our entire home with wood plantation shutters back in the fall of 2020. We were in a new build home, with only wax paper covering the windows for privacy. Was bummed about the wait time, but these were custom made for each window of various sizes, and it was the year of COVID, so it was reasonable. We had ordered sometime early September and was so excited when we received a call earlier in the week asking if they could install on Thanksgiving day! Could not believe that they were working on a holiday! Beautiful and sturdy, we could not be happier! They were so worth the wait! We were so impressed watching the installation, taking their time making sure each window was hung with perfection, caulking the crooked framing of the house when needed. Coming up to three years now and these shutters were one of the smartest and best purchases we made for our new home! Thumbs up! Would definitely use Boyd's again! read more

If you are in the market for perfection then look no further than Boyd's Blinds. It's no exaggeration to say that our new shutters are the best investment my wife and I have made in our home. After doing some research and pricing for plantation shutters for our home, a friend of ours referred us to Boyd. Boyd came out to our house with a complete "no pressure" approach and took the time to explain his product and the process. We ended up purchasing shutters for 22 windows and they turned out amazing. The quality is phenomenal, they look fantastic, and the installers were unbelievably professional and efficient. Boyd worked with us every step of the way (including a reasonable timeline for payment). I would refer ANYONE to Boyd. Thank you Boyd for being an absolute professional and making our home look beautiful! You made my wife one happy lady!! read more

We are EXTREMELY happy with their service. We needed blinds on the inside of the house and sun screens on the outside. Most places won't do both services but Boyd's does. They came, measured and installed a few weeks later. We are so happy. It already feels cooler in my house. All I can say is THANK YOU!!!! I highly recommend! read more

Boyd's Blinds provides both quality customer service and work. We are very pleased with them!

Boyd was prompt, informative & honest. His communication was excellent through out the process & he delivered exactly what he initially described and promised, at the exact date and time we agreed upon. Buying, building and moving into a new house was stressful. Having shutters made and installed for a 4000 sq ft home was anything but with Boyd. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Boyd if you're looking for high quality window treatments, at a fair price from a straightforward, local business owner. read more

We were referred to Boyd's blinds to get a quote for our shutters. We are so glad we did! Very friendly and professional! All their promises kept and the shutters are amazing!!! We will definately be working with them again and have already given their contact information out to neighbors. I was looking for a reputable company to install blinds on all 17 windows in my home. I found a "deal" in a magazine and checked yelp before I called the company. Thank goodness for yelp because I discovered they had awful customer service etc etc. That led me to yelp a different blinds company, which led me to Boyd's Blinds. Again, thank goodness for yelp!!! Boyd himself came the next day, gave me 3 optional quotes (I wasn't sure if I wanted my master bedroom to look different and all that), gave me courtesy, gave me great customer service, and gave me peace of mind. He emailed me to follow up and when I called him with questions on products I saw at lowes, he provided me info on that as well. My house looks amazing. It's cooler in temperature and sexy in appearance. It's a comfortable place to be. Boyd is AWESOME. My blinds are AWESOME. If u want the best customer service, if you want to support a small owner-operated business, and if you want to replace your messed up and outdated window shades.....well you now know who to contact: BOYD MILLER!!!!! And if you love your experience like I did, I encourage you to add another great review for Boyd because he truly deserves it. Thanks Boyd!!! read more

After my grandparents used Boyd a few years ago for their shutters, I knew just where to turn when purchasing my own bare windowed home this fall. I wasn't sure Boyd would be able to work with me since I live in California now, but he was more than accommodating. He was available several times for lengthy phone calls to ensure I measured correctly. I was able to see samples when I was visiting home for the holidays. We chose easy to install cellular shades since my husband would be the one putting them up. Once our shades arrived Boyd provided step by step FaceTime instructions so that we could get them installed correctly. Such an over the top gesture. The quality of his shades is way better than what we saw at Home Depot and well worth the extra few bucks. Custom treatments really don't go unnoticed. Boyd is the best. :) read more

It was sunrise, as a prepared for my daily routine before work with a healthy dose of news and coffee. For the fifth day in a row in my new home, my anger was growing as the glare from the piercing sunlight crept and consumed the television screen like a virus. I needed some sort of window coverings, but I admittedly was very naive as to where to seek advice and what to purchase. I was referred over to Boyd's Blinds from a friend and customer of Boyd's, and could not have been more satisfied with the level and quality of service and finished product. In my initial consultation Boyd walked me through the variety of window covering options and I was surprised to learn how many options I had. Based on my needs, he helped me narrow down and determine that shutters were the best option for me within my budget. He walked me through every step of the process and delivered as promised. I had an excellent experience with Boyd and his team. Whether you have foreknowledge of what varietal of window coverings your home needs, or you are like me, and need assistance, he answers questions and gets it done. Although I still watch the news in disgust, it isn't because I cannot seen the screen. read more

Based on the good reviews that I read I contacted Boyd for an estimate. He responded in a very timely manner, gave me an estimate and we put in our order. He surprisingly did not collect any payment up front. The blinds came in a bit sooner than expected and Boyd came out personally to install them. We are very happy with his services. read more

I highly recommend using Boyds Blinds for your custom blinds project. My job was completed ahead of schedule, the paint was a great match, Boyd gave great recommendations on install and color and was kept us updated on timeframe throughout. Before choosing Boyd I had 4 other in home quotes from various other blind companies around the valley. Boyd stood out amongst them as a no nonsense job tasked person. Other companies tried to sell me on a Chinese basswood product but Boyds Blinds are manufactured here in the valley. A no brainer here. Couldn't be happier. read more

I researched many window treatment companies and decided to go with Boyd's because of the 5-Star Reviews. I like to support local businesses and I'm definitely glad that I supported this one. The most important highlight of my experience working with Boyd was the ease of communication, professionalism and the fact that we worked together to come up with best window treatment option for my Master bedroom. Boyd informed me of all my options, which helped me to make the best decision for my needs; I felt fully informed of all my options that included white plantation shutters, sunscreens, cellular shades and blinds. I am happy to support a business you can trust, which I believe is rare nowadays. I'm already planning on another set of plantation shutters for the guest bedroom and am glad to return to Boyd's for their business. Good quality product and craftsmanship, trusted business practices, honest, down to earth, reasonably priced and overall meeting customer satisfaction. I highly recommend going with Boyd's for custom window treatments. read more

Spent a great deal of time with competitive appointments and quotes. Very pleased with our choice to go with Boyd's blinds. It was absolutely the right decision - Boyd is a seasoned professional, has a stellar reputation, custom blinds are beautiful and his installation team are just as professional as he is. Highly recommend Boyd's Blinds and Drapes! read more

Boyd came out and gave us a bid for 11 custom shutters. We also got another quote from another company which was higher than Boyd's quote but this wasn't the only reason we went with Boyd. You deal directly with Boyd himself and his shutters are made in his own shop. He has complete control over the entire process. He quoted us 8 weeks to install after we ordered but we got a surprise phone call 6 weeks in and they were ready. Boyd sent out a couple young men for the install and they got right at it and did a beautiful and clean job in no time. If you're after custom shutters, I don't think you can go wrong with Boyd. read more

Another 5 star rating for Boyd! Looked at a few companies for some basswood shutters and ended up going with Boyd for the following reasons: 1) He seems to handle all his initial visits/appts himself. Nice to see a company owner actually taking ownership of all his business (inspires confidence that the job will be done right). 2) Very knowledgable and thorough-makes sure he's getting you what you want. 3) No pressuring/sales tactics. 4) Set proper expectations on time to completion. 5) Very competitive pricing compared to the competition. He was always polite, plenty of follow ups, returns messages promptly, and works around your schedule the best he can. His lead time was a few weeks out, but worth every bit of wait time. There's a reason he's got this many people waiting on shutters. This is the prime example of a well run business owned by someone who clearly takes pride in his work. Thanks Boyd! read more

3 week order is now 6 weeks out.... how many phone calls have I RECEIVED to notify me of a delay or provide an update.... ZERO.... still waiting for my blinds to keep the 115 degree heat out of my house.... So, blinds now installed. Due to being too busy manufacturer failed to deliver on time I was told. I do like the blinds, the price was fair, but still not happy with not being communicated with until I called at 3 weeks. read more
