We had a sales call from Boyd this week and found him to be straight forward, no pressure and extremely knowledgeable about his products. He gave us good advice about trim options and voluntarily steered us away from a design decision that would have cost us a lot of money. I'll update this this review when we have the shutters, but I'm very optimistic that what has started out this well, will have a great result. He is responsive to email and he does get back to you quickly if you leave a message with his answering service. Update: We took delivery of our shutters and were very pleased with the product and the installation team. This is a purchase that started and ended well. I certainly would buy from him again! Nice work Boyd and team. read more

I used Boyd for the plantation shutters in my new house and I am very happy! When I first contacted Boyd, he was able to take measurements and provide a quote very quickly. We did get a few quotes and Boyd was the most reasonable. The shutters are in and they look fabulous. The last great surprise was that the shutters were completed a few weeks early and I was able to have them installed before Christmas - which made me very happy! I would absolutely recommend Boyd's Blinds to anyone. Great service - great communication and great product. read more

We we're on the hunt for new blinds and stumbled across Boyd's YELP page. After having a competitor come out a couple days before we opted to have Boyd come give us a second opinion. He brought his samples and measured the windows quickly like a pro. We made a decision and had a contract together same day, and 2 weeks later the blinds arrived. Perfect fit and installer was quick and efficient. Very quick turnaround times! If you are in the market for new blinds. You owe it to yourself to give Boyd a call. You won't regret it! read more

Reached out to Boyd to get a quote. Gave me a phenomenal quote. LOWEST out of anyone by far. It was too good to believe. So, I checked several times with him via Yelp messages and he confirmed the price multiple times. I verbally agreed. However, the day he wanted to schedule the in-home visit, his price was $2000 MORE than the original quote. Boyd told me that he quoted me a wrong price before. He told me it was a mistake and that he mixed it up with another order. He brought this up AFTER i called him out on it. It is very frustrating to work with a guy, and you (the consumer) do your best to verify and confirm the cost, and then, the business, switches it and changes it on you. This is the reason buyers are so cautious. It's so hard to trust quotes and estimates nowadays. I have no doubt that this was an honest mistake, and Boyd seemed like a good guy. But at the end of the day, he wasted my time. His lack of attention to detail disappoints me. read more

I called Boyd after searching Yelp for window treatment companies. Overall, my experience with Boyd's Blinds was wonderful! Highly recommend him and his company. Cathy J., Scottsdale read more

We recently purchased a home in Scottsdale and my wife, being about a big of a yelper there is, found Boyd and his plethora of 5* reviews. We wanted plantation shutters in our new home and Boyd did not disappoint. From the time Boyd came out to do the estimate and remeasure to his installers, Felipe and Juan, the entire process was handled with 100% professionalism and integrity. Get this - we cut him a check for the final 50% and there was an unforeseen delay that caused the last few shutters to become delayed due to the somewhat unique crank windows we have in our home. Not only did Boyd not cash the check for that duration, he actually contacted us and asked if it was okay for him to cash it. Plain and simple, if I could give Boyd 6 stars instead of 5, I'd give him 7. read more

Boyd's been putting blinds and shutters in my home and investment properties for over 10 years. He has established a very solid customer-centric business. I've never had any issues. Boyd completed the plantation shutters in my living room, bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms. Well done!

We had Boyd install shutters for our home. His price was the best and the service was excellent. His communication was on point at all times. You may have to wait a few months for shutters but in the end it is well worth the wait. Thank you very much Boyd! read more

We had Boyd's crew install shutters throughout most of our new home. Their price was very fair, and the product quality is top notch. We were especially pleased that the installers didn't leave any mess, and didn't leave any paint scuffs. This seams to be a problem any time contractors step into our home. read more

After much research we selected Boyd's Blinds for a long planned project to install plantation shutters on 34 windows in our home. From my first contact with Boyd, through the estimating process, answering all my questions, checking references and finally the installation; I am very pleased with Boyd's Blinds and would recommend him without hesitation. The finished product adds a level of elegance and finish to our home I did not expect, but enjoy daily. And your ease in controlling light over my old window coverings is marvelous. All I can say is WOW ! I just bought a home that needed 15 window covering, I did my usual due diligence by calling and getting quotes from three different local companies that were recommended to me, some that even touted Huge sale discounts. Well ... no joke I could have saved a lot of my time by just calling Boyd's Blinds, and I know I saved a lot of money !!! Warning .... the only thing that Boyd didn't do was put up temporary shades like the others said that they would do. Well I'll take SAVING THOUSANDS $$$ over the easy task of putting up my own temporary shades (available online and in local stores) I also want to mention the wonderful customer service that they provided from start to finish !!! I will Seriously recommend Boyd's Blinds to ALL. A Special Thank You to Boyd and Company ! I'm so happy to know there are still companies out there that can not only provide a quality product at a extremely fair price ...but offer it and still provide top notch service and installation ! read more

Boyd's Blinds built and installed custom shutters to match existing shutters in our house (installed by prior homeowner several years ago). Not only did Boyd's provide the best price, but they also provided fabulous customer service. And, as other reviewers have mentioned, we dealt directly with Boyd throughout the process. His installation team was incredibly nice - professional, prompt, and efficient. Very happy with both the service and the final product. read more

Wow! Plantation shutters are a look I've always admired but didn't think were an option because of how expensive they can be. Boyd made my plantation shutter dream a reality! From the first phone call when he answered on the third ring to the prompt first visit with a quote, I knew I'd found the right guy! I expected to pay more than double what he charged me so I was thrilled with my quote. Boyd made the process of picking shutters extremely easy. I was 8 months pregnant and needed a lot of help deciding what was best for our home. My biggest request was that the shutters would be done before the baby arrived and here I am typing this with plenty of time left and beautiful shutters already installed! I knew the shutters would be great but the finished product really exceeded all my expectations. After the very polite and careful installers finished in less than 2 hours, I took a tour of my upstairs and nearly cried at every new gorgeous window! This has been by far the best upgrade we have made to our home. Not only does it make each room beautiful, I was able to sleep in past 6 AM for the first time in my room because I never could cover my arched window properly. Also, we have already noticed a HUGE difference in the temperature in the room. I am so thrilled with the work that Boyd did and the amazing customer service he offered along the way. If I had any questions he answered every phone call and text immediately. He runs a phenomenal business and I am proud to have his work in my home. I will be recommending him to everyone I know and saving up to put shutters downstairs as well! read more

Boyd was so easy to work with and his pricing was much more reasonable then the big box stores. My 2" wooden blinds are beautiful and I just called him again to get sun screens. His customer service and prices are hard to beat - highly recommended! read more

We used Boyd's for white plantation shutters in our house. He had the best quote out of the three vendors that we considered. I also like that I was supporting a local business. Boyd took measurements and recommended 4 inch shutters, which no other vendor even brought up so I had no idea they existed. Upon taking a walk around my block, I noticed everyone else had 4 inch shutters so his recommendation was spot on. He said the shutters would be done in 6-8 weeks so you can imagine the pleasant surprise when they were done ahead of time. They turned out beautifully and the installers were professional, prompt and courteous. I would recommend this company for anyone looking to install plantation shutters in their home. read more
