Wow, so good. There was only one other person eating lunch at around 1:00, so no problem getting a table. Quick, friendly service and really delicious food. Had the shrimp ceviche, fried rice (who knew there was Peruvian fried rice?!) and chicken saltado. And a yummy fruit drink I can't remember the name of. Lots of cinnamon and clove and apple flavors made it really refreshing. The salsas that accompanied the meal (not sure what they were specifically supposed to go with but we put them on everything) were so good. One mild (green) and one spicy (yellow), each with totally different flavors. Everything was fresh and delicious and our greeter/server was so friendly. Interesting decor. Can't wait to go back. Every time I try a new Peruvian restaurant, I order the Beef Saltado...it's my favorite dish. Hub ordered the Shrimp Saltado. Both were just okay. My steak was not as tender as I had hoped, but I could tell that it was freshly prepared and came out piping hot. The fries were rubbery and soaked up too much of the sauce. Hub's was the same. We were there for lunch, but the menu seemed the same for lunch and dinner. Our bill came to apx. $30. When you walk in, the smells abound and pull you in to want to try it all. Ceviche and Paella Mariscos, plaintains, anticichos de Cora son de Rez (heart) were some of our dishes. Yummy. Yummy! The volume of food hits you. Definite bang for the buck with quality and taste to boot. The ceviche was a mountain of squid, octopus, shrimp. A perfect balance of flavor and acidity coupled with the freshness. Winner. The heart was perfectly cooked. We got six large pieces that alone was a meal. This was a delicate and perfectly tender dish. Last was the paella with seafood. A dish that takes a bit of time to prepare but well worth it. I am not very familiar with food from Lima, but I must say that this was a really good, solid meal. The rice with seafood was delicious, the poke appetizer was great and the 1/4 chicken was very good too. It is always good to have delicious food but we all know that poor service can spoil the evening. Not at this restaurant! The server always had a smile on her face and was magically there when we wanted something. The decor was simple but not elaborate. The food came out fast and I could tell it wasn't fresh. I've had homemade Peruvian food and this place used to be homestyle delicious, however, this time it wasn't. The food taste like it had been sitting under heat lamps. The portions were very small. The Lomo Saltado was mainly unions, barely any meat or fries. The ceviche de Cameron was a very small portion. Considering it was almost $17, I would have thought the portion would have been bigger (photo attached to review). Maybe because the place got popular and busy they had to think of a way to keep customers flowing? I don't know why the quality went down and won't be coming back. Thanks to other Yelp-ers, a friend and I met here for lunch on a Wednesday. It' a stand-alone building in a strip mall so lots of parking. And a cute little patio with a few picnic tables and propane heaters. But it was raining, so we sat inside. Huge menu and a bit complictated to know what is the difference between many of them. We split a 1/2 chicken Pollo ala Brassa that someone else raved about plus vegetarian paella. Both dishes were served very quickly. Chicken and paella were both tasty. The sauces (pesto? mild and spicy) were a nice addition to the dishes and as bread dip, but for 2 people, it would be nice to have 2 servings. (I'm sure i could have asked and they would have accommodated.) All servers were very nice and helpful, tables with dividers between them was super-comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lima Peruvian. read more

Don't follow the Google directions to get here from the Yelp App on an Android phone. They're really right off of Allen Blvd. Not off of the Why Worry road. Glad we found it though by exploring the string of businesses nearby. Started with a yummy very tangy fish ceviche. Husband devoured his 1/2 rotisserie chicken. My Lomo Saltado (beef, onions tomatoes and fries) dish was tasty but I'm not a big fan of fries mixed in like that. Separated them out and ate half the dish to of course save room for desserts. Glad they offer sample of the purple corn drink... Which wasn't our favorite.. A bit too thick for me and has a clove taste. Loved the Inca Kola.... Food came out unusually fast which made me question if it was freshly made or not. The lomo was good but the fries were too soggy. It should be a little more crispy. The rice was good. The tamal was good and something I would order again. The ceviche however did not come close to my expectations. It had too much lemon and the fish didn't have the fresh taste either.
