Wow, so good. There was only one other person eating lunch at around 1:00, so no problem getting a table. Quick, friendly service and really delicious food. Had the shrimp ceviche, fried rice (who knew there was Peruvian fried rice?!) and chicken saltado. And a yummy fruit drink I can't remember the name of. Lots of cinnamon and clove and apple flavors made it really refreshing. The salsas that accompanied the meal (not sure what they were specifically supposed to go with but we put them on everything) were so good. One mild (green) and one spicy (yellow), each with totally different flavors. Everything was fresh and delicious and our greeter/server was so friendly. Interesting decor. Can't wait to go back. Astrologically: World-traveler Sagittarius, with all the cool paintings and authentic food, you'll feel like you're in Peru without actually having to go all the way there. Authentic Peruvian food with lots of options to chose from and very friendly staff. As a native Peruvian, I could enjoy the excellent food while visiting my son in the Portland area. The fish ceviche was one of the best I have tried in the US. The pollo a la brasa simply delicious -served with aji and huacatay sauce. My son's aji de gallina was very good and a large portion. The food is okay. I've had way tastier Peruvian before. I'd say the portions are awfully small, (at least when packed to go) smaller than what I'm used to seeing from a Peruvian restaurant. Good variety of food to choose from. Pricey, but the portions are large. I like that this restaurant offers cassava on their menu, and has an outdoor dining area with large picnic tables. I also appreciate that they didn't close their outdoor dining area due to hot weather like some other restaurants did. Every time I try a new Peruvian restaurant, I order the Beef Saltado...it's my favorite dish. Hub ordered the Shrimp Saltado. Both were just okay. My steak was not as tender as I had hoped, but I could tell that it was freshly prepared and came out piping hot. The fries were rubbery and soaked up too much of the sauce. Hub's was the same. We were there for lunch, but the menu seemed the same for lunch and dinner. Our bill came to apx. $30. The staff is very sweet and the restaurant clean and pleasant, but I usually do not return after having an average dining experience. read more

If I could go higher than 5 stars, this would be the place to get it. I can't believe how good it was. A week and a half later and it's still on my mind daily. Not only was the food good, but the service was incredible as well. They will be seeing more and more of me. Local... local place in a strip mall. Authentic cuisine without the hype. Extensive menu containing meat, seafood, rice, poultry, desser, etc., please note they one take debit card or cash. When you walk in, the smells abound and pull you in to want to try it all. Ceviche and Paella Mariscos, plaintains, anticichos de Cora son de Rez (heart) were some of our dishes. Yummy. Yummy! The volume of food hits you. Definite bang for the buck with quality and taste to boot. The ceviche was a mountain of squid, octopus, shrimp. A perfect balance of flavor and acidity coupled with the freshness. Winner. The heart was perfectly cooked. We got six large pieces that alone was a meal. This was a delicate and perfectly tender dish. Last was the paella with seafood. A dish that takes a bit of time to prepare but well worth it. The paella can easily be shared by 3 individuals and is visually pleasing and tastefully satisfying. This is a wonderful place to enjoy great food locally. read more

I've been here a few times and today the food was underwhelming. Everything was pre-made. We ordered ceviche de Cameron, Lomo Saltado, and Chaufa con Pollo. The food came out fast and I could tell it wasn't fresh. I've had homemade Peruvian food and this place used to be homestyle delicious, however, this time it wasn't. The food taste like it had been sitting under heat lamps. The portions were very small. The Lomo Saltado was mainly unions, barely any meat or fries. The ceviche de Cameron was a very small portion. Considering it was almost $17, I would have thought the portion would have been bigger (photo attached to review). Maybe because the place got popular and busy they had to think of a way to keep customers flowing? I don't know why the quality went down and won't be coming back. Lima used to be a great alternative to Andina. Now I will just make the drive to the Pearl district because at least I will get some steak and fries with my lomo saltado. read more

I am not very familiar with food from Lima, but I must say that this was a really good, solid meal. The rice with seafood was delicious, the poke appetizer was great and the 1/4 chicken was very good too. It is always good to have delicious food but we all know that poor service can spoil the evening. Not at this restaurant! The server always had a smile on her face and was magically there when we wanted something. The decor was simple but not elaborate. The single complaint I might have about decor was that the lighting was a bit bright and there was no music. Peruvian music would have been pretty cool! read more

Don't follow the Google directions to get here from the Yelp App on an Android phone. They're really right off of Allen Blvd. Not off of the Why Worry road. Glad we found it though by exploring the string of businesses nearby. Started with a yummy very tangy fish ceviche. Husband devoured his 1/2 rotisserie chicken. My Lomo Saltado (beef, onions tomatoes and fries) dish was tasty but I'm not a big fan of fries mixed in like that. Separated them out and ate half the dish to of course save room for desserts. Glad they offer sample of the purple corn drink... Which wasn't our favorite.. A bit too thick for me and has a clove taste. Loved the Inca Kola.... Was reminded that I had sampled this before in Las Vegas at the Coco Cola store. They sell upstairs 2 trays of sample colas from around the world and this one was one of my favorites. read more

This was my first time having Peruvian food and I think I've been missing out in life. As a seafood lover, I had my share of scallops, mussels, octopus, shrimp, fish, and more. I could not believe how incredibly the tart ceviche melted in my mouth and bursted with flavor. They cook each seafood and meat to get the right amount of tenderness. Our very first experience with Peruvian food! Was kinda worried when we entered a totally empty restaurant, often that's not a good sign. Our waitress was very pleasant but spoke limited English and was unable to answer many of our questions. No matter, we started off with the Calamares Fritos ($8.25): deep fried squid with 2 delicious salsas, one tomato-based and one a little creamier with lots of cilantro. I took other Yelper's suggestions and had their signature dish, Lomo Saltado ($12.25): Beef strips, sautéed with onions & tomatoes, served with french fries & rice. Apparently, french fries and rice are authentic Peruvian. I was told later by a Peruvian native that the potatoes in Peru are totally different from here so maybe that's why (?) The beef was a little chewy for my taste but there was very little fat, a good thing. My husband went all out and ordered the Pescado a Lo Macho ($14.50): white fish & shellfish cooked in a spicy red sauce "macho style," very similar to a chioppino, also served with white rice. It was delicious and what I'm going to order next time. We will definitely be going back to Lima Peruvian Restaurant, I hear the rotisserie chicken is to die for! read more

As a Peruvian I'm always looking for good Peruvian food. Service was great we ordered the lomo saltado, tamal, and ceviche. Food came out unusually fast which made me question if it was freshly made or not. The lomo was good but the fries were too soggy. It should be a little more crispy. The rice was good. The tamal was good and something I would order again. The ceviche however did not come close to my expectations. It had too much lemon and the fish didn't have the fresh taste either. The cancha was soggy and it should be crunchy and warm when freshly made. Overall my experience was great here and would come back. read more
