This restaurant is relatively small, so the place can get filled up pretty quickly. On this Saturday night, we had a brief 15 minute wait for a table of 6. The menu is large with english explanation of each dish. My wife ordered the Milanesa De Carne (Deep Fried Breaded Steak) and I ordered the Milanesa De Pollo (Deep Fried Chicken Breast). We were pleasantly surprised on how tasty these dishes were without being too spicy. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem where repeat customers come in for dine in or take out on weekly or even daily basis. If this is what the food of Peru is like...I need to go there! At first I was really uncomfortable because everyone on the menu seemed to be fish or seafood of some kind (like squid, shrimp or octopus). But after looking it over I got a delicious creamy peanut chicken dish and my husband got a fried steak with plantains, eggs and French fries (bistek a lo pobre). I love that potatoes and French fries come with almost every meal. I'm not sure if that's authentic Peruvian but it's so tasty. I feel like this is comfort food. Everyone in this small restaurant is comfortable talking all at once and it really immerses you into the language and feel of the food. It's hard to describe, but I feel like I'm in someone's home at dinner time here. When I tried to order in Spanish the waitress was nice enough to help me pronounce the dishes right. Fantastic. This place is sooooo good. We had Papa a la Huancaina. Tallarin verde con bistek frito and Tallarín a la huancaina. We also drank the chicha. Everything was perfect. I'm the daughter of Peruvian Immigrants and know Peruvian food. I had it in the best restaurants, prepared by world renowned chefs. I'm even related to one. So again, I know Peruvian food. The creaminess of the Huancaina sauce on both the papa and tallarín was smooth, creamy and delicious. The verde on the tallarin was equally delicious. The bistec frito was super flavorful. We didn't have room dessert because the portions were huge. Service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was good. 10/10 recommend. read more

One of the most underrated cuisines in America. When I think of Peruvian culture, I think of the beauty of the people and foods. Peruvian food has it all, it's fresh, healthy, savory, spicy and made with love. You will NOT find a chimichanga on their menu, didn't mean to burst your proverbial bubble.. haha. I never ever, ever, ever go to a Peruvian restaurant and not get the Ceviche. It is what they're proud of and do (in most opinions) better than all of South America. This battle has gone on for years..I personally love all of them, as long as it's fresh. Ceviche~ Fresh, heavy on the habanero peppers, red onions, cilantro, all marinated in a wonderful Aji Amarillo and lime sauce. The fish was fresh and easy to eat. I did however, wish it was sliced a little thinner. Just my personal preference. This is around $15 and yes, can be shared or eaten as a main course. Fried rice ~ (Peruvian style) with chicken (dark meat) This was nutty and flavorful, this one is an easy home run. If you don't like dark meat, it's just as good with no meat as well. Serously All & All, I really liked this place and I will revisit soon to try other items. Don't be intimidated by the menu, they are more than happy to explain every dish to you. read more

Stumbled upon this place without knowing much about the cuisine. The portions were great, workers were super friendly, and the food was AMAZING. Went here for the first time to try something different. I was pretty blown away 1 by the presentations and 2 by the incredible flavors. We ordered Peruvian beer cusquena and Chicha Morada which is AMAZING, I loved the taste of cinnamon and cloves. For an appetizer we ordered the Ceviche Mixto - the fish was so fresh and smothered with onions. I highly recommend ordering a ceviche to start, there was a perfect amount of lime juice and onions, we are every bite. For entrees we ordered Bisteck a la chorillana which was beautifully tender steak and braised vegetables, I absolutely loved the cooked tomatoes on top. The 2nd entree we ordered was Picante Mariscos - seafood in a milky peanut sauce full of so much flavor and a side of rice. And the third was the Paella - INCREDIBLE. If I failed to write my review of Lima, I should be shamed publicly. We have eaten there twice now and both times every item was amazing. The shrimp Ceviche has been our go to, and never disappoints. Maybe next time I will order a different one and see how it compares. Since eating there I have recommended it to dozens of people. I'm so happy when we try a new restaurant on a whim and the food is good. That was the case here. We were treating a friend to dinner, and we don't know the Beaverton restaurant scene well, so we just took a chance. It's a cozy little restaurant that was well attended by a steady flow of customers and efficient wait staff. The menu has a good selection, and of so many dishes I didn't know. (I was afraid it would be a generic selection.) The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. The fried manioc was tasty, but a little bland for some guest. I enjoyed it. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the spices were well balanced. The beef (I hear) was very tender, not fatty, and very flavorful. The dinner with two Peruvian beers was $65, which as reasonable. Horrible service, They are extremely rude. I ordered 2 lomo saltado for me and my girlfriend and I've been here multiple times. This time the food turned out cold and she requested no onion and they gave her onions. So we tried to speak with a manager or a waiter. after 5 minutes she came and she wasn't listening to us seemed really bothered and said she would help us next time we come in. I call in today and she is being extremely rude saying she can't help and making fun of me because we felt uncomfortable that a guy was staring at my girlfriend and had to leave since I couldn't make a scene. WOW. JUST, WOW! I have frequented several different Peruvian restaurants back home and a few here in town. I haven't found an authentic DELICIOUS Peruvian spot in years tbh. I used to El Inka in gresham a bit, they had a TO DIE FOR red sauce but our rotisserie chicken was always dry, sparse and skin was tasteless and rubbery. However, not the case here! Located street side in Beaverton area, it's very unassuming. Driving by i would have never expected this full restaurant to serve such amazing authentic food. We ordered half chickens each with fries and salads. We also had sides of the bread and sauces. We took it to go and drove all the way back home to Fairview. When we got home. Everything was still hot and skin was still crispy!!! EPIC WIN!!! Doing the happy dance licking my chicken fingers! The half chickens were these HUGE *MEATY* pieces of chicken with an amazing rotisserie roasted crispy skin all over! Okay. Okay..... hold on. Let me slow my chicken roll. Im so excited about this chicken im getting a head of myself. The pieces were VERY meaty! The skin was crispy and VERY flavorful. The parts of the chicken that didnt have skin still had that crispy delicious roasted char and still packed the fLaVa! Yummm! The chicken itself was juicy from the top of the skin down to the bone. I mean, jUiCy! The bread was standard white loaf bread. Nothing crazy here which is just fine with me. Their green sauce was standard Peruvian dipping sauce, ive had some better but it wasnt bad at all. Just not blow my taste buds off, good. The salad is a standard iceberg side salad with a bit of cabbage and carrot and yummy italian dressing. Im a huge italian dressing fan so i looooved it. Almost like a nice pallet cleanser. I have never eaten Peruvian foods before and had the fortune to share my table with a woman from Peru. She not only turned me on to the great calamari but I have more dishes to try when I come again. I had the fried calamari appetizer. The calamari wasn't breaded, it was just lightly dusted, so it was crisp and perfect. It came with onions and tomatoes marinaded in lemon. Fresh and bright! I am on something of a Latin food bender these days. I am taking advantage of some time off to try places with friends that my child won't try, while she is off at school. It is fun to look at my bookmarks and randomly choose a new place to eat. This one has been on my radar for a while. I like Peruvian food and wanted ceviche. Yet when I met my friend here the rotisserie chicken called to me. The picture on the front of the menu clinched it. There are all kinds of other yummy things on that menu, too. From paella to pesto to fried fish to interesting soups and stews. Something for everyone. My 1/4 chicken was tasty, if a bit small. I wanted much more! I think I'd go for a half next time. The fries were perfect. Dining companions shrimp was cooked perfectly and although he wasn't excited by the big chunks of tomato, he liked his dish a lot. Even though the door and menu say they take master card and visa cards, a sign at the register says "cash or debit only." I say bring cash. I reluctantly agreed to a friends' request to have dinner at this restaurant. Reluctant due to a less than positive and expensive experience at a popular Peruvian restaraunt downtown a few years ago. That and the fact that I know nothing about Peruvian dishes - what might be good and what might not. Suffice to say I'm so glad I acquiesced - the food was plentiful and delicious. Lima Peruvian is a small restaurant in a busy - if dicey - part of Beaverton. Not too appealing from the outside, but although small, we found the interior to be fresh, clean, and tastefully finished. The service was exemplary - friendly and efficient. Since I didn't know what to order, I relied on our waitperson's advice and it was perfect. The other three members of my party were equally impressed. Sadly, I can't recall the names of the dishes, but between the four of us they were fish, beef, and chicken/pasta-based. Again, all delish. Prices are moderate at $10-20 +/- and as I mentioned, the serving sizes are generous. The only complaint I have is the noise level due in large part to the small space, low ceiling, and packed house. It was difficult at times to carry on a conversation. That said, I highly recommend Lima Peruvian Restaurant for anyone looking for authentic (or so it seems to my untrained palate) Peruvian food, because this place is all about the food. Fast, authentic, and delicioso! The ceviche mixto was fresh with the perfect acidity level. It was garnished with sweet potato, and two kinds of corn to give it that crunch factor. The chicharron de pescado was fried just right, lightly breaded, moist inside, and served with pickled red onions. Their rotisserie chicken was so tender and full of flavor! I found myself sucking every juicy morsel off the bone. It was served with a fresh salad with vinagrette and crisp french fries. The lomo saltado was the star of the meal. The meat was tender and the onions and peppers were perfectly caramelized. The sauce it was all cooked in coated the fries, which made them even tastier. The sauce was so good that I soaked up every drop with the free french bread provided. I would definitely recommend this hole in the wall Peruvian restaurant. It's not fancy, but the food is amazing! Lima is an absolute gem. The folks that run the spot definitely know how to make authentic Peruvian food. We had tried the pollo la brasa, mixed ceviche, and the fried rice. The pollo la brasa was juicy and broiled to perfection. The ceviche had a touch of acidity and the freshness of the seafood. The fried rice was my favorite.
