It's been a while since I've dined in here but it's still as delicious as I remembered. Ordering on the iPad was fast and easy and our food came out quickly. I got mild on both soups but probably could have tried medium bc it's not super spicy. I would have loved if you could adjust the sweetness level on the boba drinks but the flavors are quite good. The calamari are a little over breaded. The broths in both were delicious but I definitely wish it came with more. Customer service is so lovely here! I came in about 30mins before closing before the reopened for dinner and they didn't rush me at all. The beef hot pot was rich with the beef broth flavor and all the fillings tasted great in it. Now I'm sitting here thinking this is very scammy. Oregon has no expiration on gift cards or the balance must be refunded. How would they request a refund if I've prepaid an account? This is a shady way around the giftcard law yet they are calling it a gift card. Updating to 4/5 stars! This has become one of our go-to hot pot meals after I started adding their amazing chili oil to everything. You have to ask for it, but it's complimentary and sooo deliciously spicy. It really kicks it up a notch when added to the dipping sauces and to your broth. My go-to now has been the vegetarian hot pot with Thai broth and side of pork slices. I love the variety of veggies in the pot. I like mixing both sauces plus a small spoonful of the chili oil as my dipping sauce. The broths in general could be stronger in flavor, but the chili oil makes it, and I guess that's why the dipping sauces are there. I also appreciate the general cleanliness and decor. We ordered one pot per person, non spicy Thai flavor soup, Taiwanese supreme hot soup and Japanese miso hot soup. Each can choose with rice or vermicelli noodle as an additional side, my Japanese miso one comes with udon and Taiwanese one comes with ramen already and Thai one had vermicelli also. They keep the pot hot with the flame under and it can be adjusted to turn down the temperature of the broth, if you run low they can also fill up your pot with clear hot broth as well. Very large restaurant with lots of seating and great for socializing or gathering as you can eat at your own pace while your food stays hot and talk as long as you want (until they need you to leave). Come here if you're craving for hotpot but don't really want to want to buy all true ingredients to prep or don't want to eat a large amount. The food comes out as an individual hot pot, and every order gets its own. We ordered via an iPad on the table and they also had a physical menus that described what was inside each hot pot item. In addition to the hot pot, they also sold bubble tea items. I had the Japanese Miso Hot Soup and the Taro Milk Tea with Grass Jelly. The broth was not as flavorful as expected; next time I might opt for a different broth flavor or a higher spice level. The bubble tea was honestly average. Friendly staff. One of the staff members came to refill our broth, and while the staff checked in on us frequently, we were taken aback by a staff member who asked "was there something wrong with the food?" when we asked for to-go containers. It's very good but the only reason I'm rating it a 4/5 is the prices raising up high, other then that the portions have stayed the same as when I first came here and I'm glad they updated the interior to a more modern urban look! This is the perfect place for when you want a small portion of hot pot or want hot pot but don't want to share haha. There's so many pot options with different kinds of broth and ingredients which I love--some of the broths aren't even options at regular hot pot! There's also rice and noodle options with your broth and you can make additional side orders of appetizers! Service is super great and the food is delicious. The pot comes out on top of a fire so it stays hot for a long time while you eat and you don't have to worry about it getting cold. The pots are set, it's not an all you can eat situation. I wanted a pot that was bigger than I wanted and I opted to get something else. It's a good amount of food with a wide variety of stuff. They do offer rice, ramen, or noodles to accompany your pot. If one of those is listed in your pot's description than it comes with it. My friend didn't realize and she ordered ramen and her pot already had ramen in it. I love the ipad style ordering, you get to pick and choose and customize what's in your pot so it's nice that you get to pick and choose yourself. You get to pick your spice level. I ordered the kimchi dumpling hot soup and assumed it would have been spicy from the kimchi so I chose a less spicy option and my soup was fairly bland. That was on me, since I assumed it would have had a kick from the kimchi. Quality of the things in the hot pot was a little lacking. It had a little bit of a refrigerator/freezer taste to it.
