My ID, social security card, all my credit cards, jewelry, my other phone and my AirPods. The way the staff handled the situation and comforted me meant more than I can put into words. I was beyond grateful for their kindness, care, and compassion during such a stressful and upsetting situation. They packed up all of our food and gave it to us on the house, even brought me a blanket and wrapped it around me to help comfort me. One of the waiters even went with my husband to help look for my bag. If it weren't for him and the valet worker, who I believe was named Jacob, the situation would have been so much harder than it already was. Even before this happened, every time I've come in, the staff has always been so kind, welcoming, and professional. But after yesterday, I have an even deeper appreciation and love for this place. Not only is the food amazing, but the people here truly care about their customers. I will forever be grateful to their entire team for taking such good care of me during a difficult moment. The manager came out and said rudely, "nobody ever has complained about the food", where our table then had to pipe in to say, "we haven't had our turn yet to tell you our burger is inedible". She looked at our table, did not acknowledge us, stated to the other patrons, "fine, you want the whole meal comped? FINE!" The waitress was so lovely that we weren't going to make a big deal, but after seeing how terribly the manager acted towards the other table with valid complaints, I asked for the inedible items to be removed from my tab. We made sure that the waitress received a tip that reflected the tab if it had included the removed items, and I vowed to never return. My family, who live in the neighborhood however, have a fondness for the restaurant and the owner. They plan to share their experience with him the next time they go. I worked in food service for many years. It's ok to have a bad night, but the manager needed to own that the crappy food and poison tasting cocktails fall under her responsibility; apologize, take the items off the tab and hope they don't write about their experience on Yelp because you did your due diligence to clean up the mess in real time. The manager chose not to have that experience with us, or others, eating there last night.
