I got a solid pedicure (and for only $25!) but I was very concerned about the cleanliness here. The bathroom is filthy, and they don't use disposable foot basin covers. That's how foot fungus spreads! I won't be coming back because of that. They had a decent selection of polishes, and Lin and his staff (I believe his mother and his son?) were very kind and courteous. The two people that did my gel manicure and pedicure were decent. My friend got acrylic nails and she likes them. The couple complaints I have is the shop is a little dirty, and the guy didn't do my cuticles when he did my manicure. He pushed them down, but that was it. He had other customers coming in and I think he wanted the business. I didn't say anything when I should have. It's been 3 days and my gel is already starting to chip. YELP! Read the reviews about Lim Nails so decided to try them. Called first thing Monday morning and they were able to get both of us in at the same time that afternoon. As I said, I have never been there before but I don't believe they ever intended to have anyone but son and mother working there. The son's son was helping out with other duties in the shop. All three were attentive to everyone. The pedicure was nice. Mom very friendly. It IS a popular place and appointments are highly recommended. What a great experience! My appointment was at 10:30 and they were done with my acrylic full set by 11:15!! Fast and GOOD work! The man who did my nails was personable and spoke amazing English! I am very disappointed with the nail job I got today. I get acrylics every 3-4 months and I have never had them cut my cuticle at the end (which they didn't actually cut as you can see). I pointed it out but they said that was how it was done. Not so in the other nail salons I have been in. They barely had any place to put the acrylic and gel and my nails look like little dots. Lim's is the best quality for the best price is the Provo/ Orem area. Very friendly service. I got acrylic set. I was very pleased with the results and the shape of the nails. They did come off a little easy but the next time I went in he made sure to do them a little thicker so that wouldn't keep happening. Only 2 people working there. The place is very stark and uninviting--massage chair didn't work. Pedicure was nice, but the older lady working, kept reminding me that any other place would make me pay extra for a warm towel, etc. Ok, I get it. The manicure is possibly the worst I've ever gotten...the two people were so rushed, the man started pushing my cuticles while they were dry and I was in the pedicure chair--no water soak first and it hurt. Then he explained that he actually leaves the cuticle because it's bad to remove it and started paiting my nails. Really? Now a week later, they are dried up, hanging out, and look horrible! Mani/Pedi $42 and less than a week later, I need a new manicure (not for polish) but a full manicure! No idea why this place has great reviews? Will not return. read more

Chose this place for a girls night out and they have amazing reviews. I called in couple hours Ahead on a Friday night to see if they could take me and my girlfriends for pedicures. They said to come at 7pm which is when they close. We get there and after taking our time choosing the polish from their wide selection of OPI polished we had our pedicures. The massage chair is amazing and Lim fixed my ingrown nail mess up and it felt so good. The pedicure is $25 we loved it so much we decided to also all get manicures too. Two of us got acrylics sets and one just a regular mani. Lim was alone doing our acrylic at the same time way past his closing time and his mom did my friends mani. Also $25 for acrylic set. I have never had acrylics before but I can say I love how it turned out. I kept getting worried my very short nails (I bite them) were not going to hold it and during the entire process I was doubting his ability to make it look natural. Well I should've trusted all along because it turned out amazing. People think it's my natural nails and its not very thick how I've seen done with acrylic before. We left the salon feeling very pampered, loving our nails. So nice of Lim and his mom to accommodate for us after their closing hours and still add to what we originally was there for. That's a negative 1 star. The staff are rude and their website is deceiving. They advertise they welcome walk-ins, but I was made to feel like an idiot when I walked in without an appointment by a male staff member. I walked in with another potential customer who received the same response. There was one customer who was receiving a pedicure and three staff members were present. Evidently, they don't need business, which was the other potential customer's opinion or they are jerks and don't deserve business. The latter is my opinion. My husband goes to this place at least once a month for a pedicure only because it's so close to where he works and there aren't any other places in the area with a decent review. First of all - I went once with my husband and my pedicure was so painful and the woman doing my nails drew blood several times. I already have really nice nails and holy crap, whatever they were doing to them HURT. Also, the paint that they put on destroyed my nails, when I removed it a week later, my nails were all scratched up and bumpy. I had to keep them painted until the damaged parts grew out. I never went back again. As for my husband's experiences - Lim is ALWAYS a total asshole to him, snapping at him for walking in without an appointment even though the place is empty and they claim to accept walk-ins. Lim treats him badly and bad mouths him to the employees. Our four year old son went with my husband once and wanted to get a pedicure just like Daddy. While the sweet woman who was doing my husband's nails was more than happy to do my son's too, Lim blew up and continued to rant even after my husband told them that he would pay for my son's pedicure, and was NOT expecting a freebie. Even though my husband paid in full, Lim forced the woman doing my son's pedicure to do a rush job. Basically, he paid in full for a pedicure that lasted only 3 minutes. My husband is fed up with being treated like crap and is going to start driving further out for a pedicure at a place where he'll be treated like a customer and a human being. read more
