If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I'm so confused how this place has such good reviews. I asked for an acrylic manicure (photo) and didn't get one. Not to mention, he charged me $45 (not including a tip) for my nails when it was listed as $40 on the pricing board behind the front desk. I think it was the owner that did my nails. As soon as I sat down, he "pushed back" my cuticles without soaking them in water or anything and didn't remove any of the excess skin. I left with just as many hang nails as I came in with, and my cuticles get very dry in the winter. He didn't clip or file my natural nails before gluing the acrylic nails on. He applied the acrylic very thick and wide, then when he buffed it down, he turned the buffer on high and did one hard swipe over the base of my nails which made my nails shaped weird (look at photos). It seemed like lazy work and like he was in a rush. The paint job is sloppy, my nails are uneven, not even close to what I asked for, and he didn't even put cuticle oil or lotion on me when he was done. Genuinely confused as to what part of my "service" is considered a "manicure". Two days later, my thumbnail is lifting off of my nail bed and my cuticles look terrible. I would advise anybody and everyone NOT to go here. Not worth your money. read more

Got a basic gel pedicure and the people are always so cute and nice. They're Vietnamese and it makes me laugh that they remembered me since I came in and spoke Vietnamese to them to say what I wanted. Super sweet and reminds me of being back home in SoCal. So nice that a lot or almost all of the nail salons nearby are Vietnamese haha. Very clean and organized!! The pedicure sugar scrub was also so good. This was my first time having a pedicure. I'm a 68 year old male, and I admit I was a bit apprehensive. The staff made me feel welcome, and I was well taken care of. I've been going there for years, went today and didn't recognize the staff it looks like new owners The gentleman who did my pedicure first scalded my foot with the hot water, then haphazardly cut my nails, and was so arrogant about everything. I don't trust my nails with just anyone but my roommate suggested this place to me. Mind you, she's 100x more picky about EVERYTHING than me so I trust her. Called in around 1 to ask about any openings. There was one at 4, but at the time I had no idea what the difference between acrylic or gel was so I initially said gel to him (the owner I presume). Went at 4 and I told him what I wanted (longer and shaped). He didn't expect it because I said gel. He was very accommodating and understanding as acrylic nails take longer and he has another appointment after me. He was fast and very experienced. Went today with my sister for a pedicure for the first time. Our appointment was at 3:30, they got us in at 3:45, not a huge deal. My sister and I were getting our pedicures done together, then my person stopped mid way and started someone else's pedicure, while I waited. My sister finished hers, me still waiting for my person to complete the one he left me for and started. Super confused by that. He finished hers completely, then came back to finish mine. Why were we so worried about not making her wait, someone that came in much later after me, but not at all concerned about making me wait, and now my sister waiting on me? SUPER unprofessional. I also got about a 30 second massage once he came back because they were closing. So glad I got what I paid for . Very poor experience. We won't be back. read more

Honestly I had high hopes from the reviews but I am very honest when it comes to my toes because I think they can make or break someone. I was there for almost 2 1/2 hours for a pedicure with acrylic toes... the man who did the pedicure didn't seem like he knew what he was doing, kept looking at menu to see what's on it. Too soft to the touch that I felt like he wasn't even touching my feet. I had previous acrylic and told him but he wasn't the one to do it so he did the entire pedicure without cleaning/ cutting my cuticles and leaving the previous acrylic on. Normally anywhere else would take everything off to prep on clean toes but no. Then the girl who did the acrylic, she was sweet but didn't seem like she knew how to do acrylic toes. And the man watched over her shoulder the whole time which I think made her nervous and me uncomfortable. Had to get her to fix the toes about 20x and if I wouldn't have said anything I don't think she would've changed it. She put on the thickest coat of acrylic and said she would file it down to the shape I wanted. Last I knew, proper application avoids over filing and mistakes. Which ended up scraping my skin raw from the filing.The man finished my polish but they had to prep my toes again because they didn't from the beginning. Honestly disappointing. I was the only one for a while, some lady came in about an hour after me and had her pedicure and manicure practically done while I was still in the chair. Good place for simple polish but definitely no extras. Looks like the older female there does a better and quicker job read more

Okay go here! It's a couple who owns it. I've been a couple times now and am always blown away at how articulate they are. I also love that they are very clear in communication about price. I don't recommend this place unless you are getting a pedicure. They are very clean and know what they are doing. But do not, I mean DO NOT get a full set here unless Lim does them. I went in and the lady who did my nails knew full well that these nails I was getting are my wedding nails. These look like she's never done or seen someone do a full set before. I really want to cry these are so bad. The color is good but not what I asked for. I want to go to a place where the person will listen to what I want. My pointer finger looks like a nub, they aren't even filed straight. It's not a huge deal because not everyone will look at my nails, but I will live with the fact that I payed these people there asking price and it looks horrible. I would have payed more if it meant that my nails wouldn't look like this. I'm sorry but this just ain't right. Very nice people who just need more training. I received a gift card to Lim Nails so I decided to get a fill. I called to make an appointment and the lady that made the appointment was very kind and accommodating. When I arrived the lady greeted me and I got right in. Then the struggle began. They have a white board with pricing on it. However, I was charged way more than what the white board price was. My friend and I came here to get our nails done a few weeks ago. They were just when we first came and asked us to come back in about an hour. We came back and I still had to wait 30 minutes. I got a fill and he spent a lot of time getting the shape I wanted. One week after I got my nails done two of them broke. The topcoat of my other nails is also chipping. I finally found a consistently good nail tech in Utah county! Lim is hands down the most thorough, neat and detailed tech I've gone to. Many techs will not fill to the cuticle because they know that the growth will show faster, leading you to come back sooner, but Lim fills the nail all the way. He makes it very clear that he would rather have a happy customer who doesn't have to come as often for fills, rather than a decent customer who comes more often because they are unsatisfied with the lack of quality in his work. I am extremely satisfied with his work. It took me a full month to get a fill and I had zero lifting, not chips or breaks and the nails were all still on very solid. I doubt I will go anywhere else now that I've found Lim! read more

I was asking another Elite for a recommendation for my wife who never gets time to herself. I was excited to hear Lim's was great. The reviews revealed the same. I am a patient person, especially when it comes to retail. I've done it, I get it, people are busy, business is good. BUT.. I called three times throughout the day to ask about pricing and set an appointment. First call around 10:00 am rang and rang and eventually, after 4 minutes, the line disconnected. Second call around 1:00 pm was busy. Third call around 2:00 pm rang and rang again, but this time, after 2 minutes, I disconnected. This LITTLE thing is a BIG issue for a "successful" business. I went here for the first time today and I'm soooo happy I did!! I got a pedi and full acrylic w/ gel polish and they look amazing!! I've been looking for a good nail place since I moved to Provo and unfortunately i couldn't. I read reviews on this place and there has been nothing but good feed back! And all are true! Lim listened to everything I had to say about my nails. I even showed him a picture of the shape I wanted and he did it dead on. He wasn't rough at all and never cut me once while doing my acrylics. He did three coats of the gel polish and made them look amazing! I'm so happy! And his mother (I'm guessing) did such an amazing job on my toes and feet! I felt so bad because they were horrible and she did everything it took, taking her time to make sure my pedi looked flawless! The leg massage was nice, it didn't hurt(I have had some at other businesses that almost kill my legs off) the lady was very gentle. The people were meticulous about their work.
