Im not gonna do too much complaining but since i paid $87 on my nails with all these random added fees i felt i had to do an honest review, for starters when i spoke to the gentleman doing my nails i asked for more of a tapered square/ square shape with the pinky stilettos , these came out to be more coffin shape. Next none of my nails have an apex they're bound to break off sooner than i was hoping, and during his prep he used veryyy littleee acrylic primer, which is used as an adhesive for the acrylic to stick to your nail. One DAY after i got them done i noticed my thumb began feeling weak , a sign that ill start noticing lifting, and sure enough it is. they're all different sizes but im partial to blame bc i asked him to go a tiny bit shorter after already agreeing to a length so he had to go back over it. But i do nails and i do my own nails, so im disappointed having come out of my own pocket for nails that couldve definitely came out better for the price i paid for them. Im traveling so i wont be able to get them done for another month and usually my nails last long enough to get refills, i dont think these will even last two weeks. But his art came out good and they look like the inspo i gave him and he was nice abt all the things i asked from him even when it came to drawing the letters by hand. read more

They have done my nails for 3 yrs now. Sometimes they do them soooo good and some designs they arnt the best looking.. the biggest problem I have with them is the waiting. I call in and set appointments and will still wait 30 mins to an hour. Even when you have an appointment they will take walk-ins in front of you... no reason to set an appointment. read more

I have been to this salon several times before and had okay experiences in the past. I wanted to give this place another chance since it was close to where I had another appointment. Big mistake. I had an appointment scheduled for 11 AM, but they didn't bother to start my pedicure until 11:25. I was out the door before 12 PM. Not once did anyone ask what type of pedicure I wanted. When I requested the callus remover--a basic part of any decent pedicure--I was told they "didn't have time for that today" because they were running behind. If you can't provide the service you advertise, why even bother taking appointments? The entire experience felt unbelievably rushed. They spent maybe 25 minutes total on the pedicure, barely going through the motions before hastily applying the gel polish. The massage was a complete joke: it was uneven and so quick that one foot got more attention than the other. There was absolutely no sense of care or attention to detail--just a frantic attempt to get me out the door as fast as possible. Sadly, this isn't my first disappointing visit. There's always a long wait, even with an appointment, and many times the service is rushed due to being delayed. It's beyond frustrating to be treated like an inconvenience instead of a paying customer. I will not be returning to this location, and I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere for a salon that actually values its clients and takes pride in its work. I got a pedicure (by Mary) and a new acrylic set (by Alan) and I love what I got! Mary was sweet and gentle with the pedi. I asked for a marble design with multiple colors, that looked a seemed a litte difficult, but Alan did amazing. He really pays attention to detail, doesnt rush, and made sure I was okay with every step. I first want to say that I used to love City Nails in Orem. They were great for a long while. Today, however, I went in for a full set and to get my toes painted. The guy I had, Steven(real name?, Thats what the other guy said his name was.)started on my nails. He was very rude and kept filing my cuticles and side of my nail even when I told him to be more gentle and that it hurt. That wasn't all! Then, he kept using the dremel so much that my nails are paper thin. As if that weren't enough, he gets up in the middle of doing my nails and walks away to go sit down somewhere else and doesn't say a word to me. That was very unprofessional ! Another guy who works there finished the job and did a great job on my nails. I didn't even stay to get my toes painted. I have NEVER been treated like that in a nail salon before and I am not happy about it because now I have to find a new place to get my nails done. read more

Just please spend the same amount of money on someone that actually had a license to do nails. Someone who actually went to mail school and learned how to clean their equipment and learned how to take care of their clients. This place is the worst. I really with I could give this nail salon/chop shop 0 stars. I am not sure where I should begin! First, my mother and I made an appointment over the phone. When we walked in, clearly, they never wrote down our reservation and so we had to check-in and wait. 20 minutes later, the girl who was running the hot water for our pedicures, seemed like she couldn't be disturbed whatsoever. When I told her the water was really hot, she rolled her eyes! When my mom told her, the water was freezing cold, she looked at my mom like she was inconveniencing her. She gave my mother so many nasty looks. The man that was working on my toes, was nothing but disappointing. He also was so unsanitary! He used dirty tools, did not clean the nail files whatsoever. The cuticle cutter was used by other employees on other clients as well. I'm not going to be surprised if I get some kind of infection. Also they had a video up on their tv of someone cutting up intestines! On the other tv it was playing Disney music. At this salon.. THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEIR TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT! AVOID AT ALL COSTS TO AVOID ANY SORT OF DAMAGE. There is a reason people call these accessible nail salons "chop shops". Because they leave you looking worse and cause more damaged than when you walked in. Their prices are insane for the service. If you can call what they did service. read more

I've been too so many nail salons and this is hands down the nicest one I've been too. This place is gorgeous!! It has high ceilings and good ventilation so it's easy to breathe. The lighting is beautiful. Everything is beautiful. I could not stop looking around the first time I went. Everyone that works there is super kind and professional. My nails always turn out perfect. They have SO MANY colors too!! At other salons I would always have to come with other ideas in mind in case they didn't have the colors I wanted, but not here they have everything. There's so many pedicure stations so you can go with a group. I thought the prices would be high because of how nice it is but the prices are the same. I will never go anywhere else. They turned off TVs and music so this team could conduct their work meeting, no care in the world for paying customers who were there. I went back. I had an appointment today at 2:30 for a pedicure. When I got there, on time, I was told it would be a 5 minute wait. At 3:15 I was still waiting. They took people who came in after me with appointments after mine, before me. Several of them. I went to get a full set of acrylics and should have been 48 dollars with a 10 dollar tip but said it was 78 dollars and they took 94 out of my account and my nails are chipping not even four days After getting my nails done they are lifting and the lady at desk 7 didn't do my cuticles and was in a rush the whole time to just go sit on the pedicure chairs and play her phone highly don't recommend coming unless you wanna be ripped off I went in and they would not give me a refund or even my money back That was over and the lady who did my nails lied saying that I had a nail removal I told them and charged me individually for my French tip nails and I have Friends that go there and they have never been charged like this for a removal and a whole new set of nails and they said I have to pay more for my cuticles to be done This was a TERRIBLE experience I don't recommend read more

I expected good service and to be pleased with my nails after reading some past reviews. But I soon realized several people were booked for 1:30, and no nail technician was near ready to take anyone. Finally had my pedi, which was fine until I got poked with the man's long and sharp fingernail into my calf to push my leg more to the center. He had on gloves, thank goodness, but it was still sharp and a painful surprise. After this I got to sit down for an acrylic nail refill. About halfway through, the nail technician said " I'll be back" and went to another table to do a young girls hands whose appointment was later than mine. I wasn't asked if I had time to wait for her to do someone else's nails in the middle of doing mine. It was unprofessional and rude. Finally she came back and rushed through finishing mine. They are sloppy on all of the edges and next to several cuticles. The red polish I had on when I came in shows at every cuticle area. This makes the nails "look" artificial, which is the opposite of what one wants. Overall I am disappointed. And I won't go back. Andy did my nails and a young lady (didn't get her name) did my daughter's nails. We both are used to dip powder and my daughter has tips put on with dip powder. They did dip powder, but not like we are used to. They used a brush and monomer liquid like traditional acrylic nails but used the colored dip powder we chose. We are both thrilled with the results. They also got us in an hour earlier than our appointment because we finished our errands early. This is a new business, clean and very nicely laid out. Go give them a try! read more

I am someone who doesn't get my nails done a lot, so maybe this is normal and I should lower my expectations. I got my first french manicure here while in town for a wedding. The lady who did my nails was nice, but worked so quickly and violently that she drew blood on 4 of my cuticles. One of them was quite bad and really hurt. Then she poured some kind of sanitizer on it that burned horribly. It was an excruciatingly painful experience. She apologized for it, but I think she was just going way too fast. The edges of the white paint were quite sloppy and didn't fully go from end to end on some of the nails. I still thought it was a pretty manicure, but then only a week later 2 of them broke from barely bumping them, I guess it's because she filed the tops of my nails and made them so thin. The scabs from where she cut my cuticles had not even healed by the time this happened. Pretty disappointed overall. read more

I've tried multiple salons from Provo up to Lehi and this one is by far the best. My nails always look beautiful and they last forever. I went 3 weeks without a fill for my acrylics and they didn't chip or even start to come up/peel off. First time here...I've had many pedicures over the years. I asked for one of the most expensive ones plus dead skin removal and it was done in 30 minutes or less. I didn't even get through the auto massage on the chair. I barely had the paraffin wax on my feet which was extra plus they changed people during my pedicure. The second person was in a hurry to get done and go sit down and surf his phone. The reason I come is to have a relaxing experience and get a nice massage. I don't want it to take forever but I also don't want it done so quickly especially when I'm paying over $50. Not sure if I'll come back. I might give it a second chance.
