They ran out of exfoliating gloves when I went, which was a bummer, but I found one for cheap at a local market. Mary Grace texts you to confirm appointments, which is really cool. Is it painful? It's plucking hairs all at once so yes it will hurt, but only for a short while. The results are worth it! Highly recommend this place for a professional wax! You will not regret it. James the owner was very quick to respond to my complaints. There were quite a bit of misunderstandings during this experience that James was able to explain to me. She was transparent, responsive, and effective in her dealings of bettering my experience. Not only did she stay in constant communication to reassure she was investigating what happened, she was able to resolve it to the best of her abilities, which in this case, was above and beyond. I am happy that the owner heard customer's complaints and are actively trying to better their business. Not only that, I was able to get my hair fixed and get the full service. Astrid, the manager, did an AMAZING job of fixing my hair even when I thought it was unfixable. So good, that I honestly think I found my go-to hairdresser. Kelly did a phenomenal job with my service today. It was my first time doing this treatment and she was so informative and and walked me through every single step when I first arrived. My favorite part of going to the hair salon is the head massage during my shampoo, and this was an extended version of that including dry brushing, shampooing, hair oiling, and a halo hair rinser. The facial included a double cleanse, mask, face massage, and shoulder, arm, and hand massage. One thing that I didn't even think of, and something to just note (it didn't affect my experience at all) - when you get this service, they shampoo your hair and you leave the spa with wet hair.
