Love this place. They are friendly, clean and very welcoming. My kids felt pampered. It's our first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect but my kids and I loved it. They got their hair wash, cut and style which all comes to the price of $35 for kids cut. They love it. The service also offer complimentary snacks and drinks so this is a plus. I'm new to area and saw great reviews so gave it a shot. $280.00 later I left with hair that looked like a beauty school had done it. I had partial highlight, root touchup and a few low lights. The perimeter looks like tiger stripes, is a few different colors and there are obvious level differences. I requested nothing lower than a 6 and ended up with an over priced disappointment. Oh did I mention this was for my wedding? When I emailed the owner .... no response. I included pictures as well. If you're willing to pay a little extra, this place can be great. Rooted has (I believe) three tiers of expertise for their stylists, with the cost going up accordingly. I have found through a little trial and error that paying out for the middle- or upper-tier stylist is the best choice if you're wanting something more than a simple trim. I highly recommend Kathryn, who gave expert advice and then delivered exactly. She charges $50 plus tip and was well-worth the cost. The spa-like atmosphere is also nice - clean and bright, with scalp massages and shampooing included in the price of your cut. The service is so friendly and it's just a really happy, peaceful place to spend an hour or two getting taken care of. My only complaint is that they seem to have some scheduling issues with their staff. There has never been a single time I've been that I ended up with the stylist I originally signed up for - there's always some kind of conflict or the stylist had to go home early or was running late or something. It worked out in my favor this last time, but it's not the most professional thing, especially when it keeps happening. read more

Shaunte ruined my nice LONG brown hair I had to cut my hair shoulder length and I hate wearing it down now. My hair is falling off excessively because she OVER processed it. I originally wanted a light balayage and she gave me highlights with my right side completely orange, the back side beige and the right side brown. I went back the next day to fix it but it did NOTHING. Went back 3 weeks later (I do believe in 2nd chances) because I wanted to go a lighter beige balayage and she made me blonde with the roots still dark brown so it looked like I just hadn't gotten my roots done, since my hair was originally dark brown it turned a golden color the very next day and when I talked to the manager she said she'd fix it at no cost. I then texted shaunte and she said she would fix it for price and they never gave me my money back (expensive of course). DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT NICE HAIR. Today my coworker told me she went to that place and asked to get all her dead ends off and the only cut .2 centimeters off and charged her $30. read more

I went there yesterday to have hair cut after family members recommended it. Very bad experience! Not worth the extra money that I paid to have some body with experience. She was awful for one she looked pissed off about something, maybe that she had to work. I guess It would have been one of at least she took the time to cut and style my hair. I had had experiences with hair cut to expect at least the minimum. She seamed in a hurry to get me out the door. Maybe she didn't like my presence there who knows. As she was doing my hair I observed the girl next to me that was also having a hair cut and she was still working the her person while I was about one done. Not happy. I had a very odd experience here. Booked an appointment with Heather and left notes with the front desk that I had a big knot in my hair, just so she got a heads up. I got there and Heather was standoffish, unprofessional and pretty rude. She said she never received the notes (implying that somehow this was my fault rather than the salon's) and "didn't have time" to untangle my knot and do a haircut so I'd need to reschedule. She then re-assigned me to a different stylist, Gabby, who was wonderful and got the knot out of my hair. I just got very strange vibes from this place though so won't be coming back. I can't really speak to the actual quality of hair styling here but am leaving this review just based on the lack of professionalism from my initial encounter. read more

I took my 75 year old mother to purchase Aveda hair gel- she lives other of town (150 miles away) I suggested we go to the store so she did not have to order online- the 2 young ladies working were very rude- (whispering about something - we assumed it was us) they did not greet us- nor did they thank her - they were not kind in any way. This salon is beautiful and always bustling with business and life. It's unlike some salons that have a snooty staff or hairdressers that just want you to color color color. I get my hair done with Ashley who always keeps an appropriate level of enjoyable conversation and who works quickly while still giving great attention to detail. I appreciate that she will use any products I want to try before buying and that she isn't afraid to recommend price friendly alternatives when I ask. I love the vibe of this upbeat salon, the tea and treats, and the overall feeling of having a relaxing spa day when I come in. She always gives me exactly what I want and is seriously the sweetest. She makes sure she is never rushing and never makes me feel like anything is taking too long.
