We drove an hour from where we live, arrived about 15 mins early for the paperwork and noticed there was only the three workers cars in the lot, so we were like wow we are the only patrons here :) We waited a few mins in the lobby and a sweet lady came out to greet us, took us to a couch with a cute fireplace, the music and setting was nice. She brought quite a bit of paperwork to fill out- the questionnaire seems excessive and was taking some time to complete.... She came back with water and asked if we were done, we weren't even half way, with medications to surgeries and so on.... She came back just before noon and said,... "just flip to the bottom and sign it, I don't want you missing your massage" Ummm we are the only ones here and this is a mound of paperwork for a massage and facial. So we didn't finish them, followed her downstairs to a cute locker changing room. She gave us each a key for a locker and there was a white robe, slippers and a chocolate peppermint patty on top. She again told us to "hurry and change then come out" Good Lord, we are at a day spa TRYING TO RELAX, not HURRY! Geez My mom is elderly and she was really cold, it is January. She got her massage and I got my facial then we switched places. My facial was nice and I loved the steam but at the end a really loud kitchen timer went DING right in my fetching ear, she said "times up" but it startled me and burst the whole relaxation thing. My mom loved her neck and shoulder massage but continued that she was freezing. I told her the facial room had a space heater and to have her turn it on!! I got my massage and Craig was awesome! My Mom came from the facial and said she couldn't even feel the space heater and shivered the whole facial. Her hands were frozen! We changed and went upstairs, there was a beautiful tray of food. Fruits, coffee, juice, nuts and chocolate. That was nice! We went to pay and it was over $200 with tips. My mom said "get to the car, I've got to turn on the heat...." She's 70! This was sad because we traveled so far expecting a more relaxing and warm experience, spent so much money and why the heck were we being rushed like that?? No one was there when we left either but us! All in all not overly impressed which I wanted to be. The reviews on their website site are different than on here. Craig was awesome I just want to make that point. We both agreed on that and for that reason I may return and bring my boyfriend who's never had a massage but I don't want to be RUSHED!! I wish I had told her that straight up the first time she asked us to "hurry"- We aren't here to "hurry" we are here to "relax"

Carrie gave me a rundown and what to expect before we started and was so respectful and understanding when I told her it was my first time. I was anxious but she came in with so much ease that it soothed me and I can't remember feeling awkward or shy which is a complete break in character for myself! Also, I was told that a brazilian is brutal and yes, I did a NC -17 rendition of the Steve Carrell waxing scene in the 40 year old virgin without even realizing. However, Carrie was so incredible and had such good humor about it and had some great tools to minimize pain and also to help with any possible ingrown hairs that after a few moments I was able to manage it so much better. This is the biggest difference with Carrie and all my other experiences getting waxed. With Carrie, I had about 0 ingrown hairs or redness but dealt with those issues when I went to other places even though I exfoliated and applied aloe/did the same post wax care I did for my first time. Honestly, I cannot believe I was such an idiot but because of where I was/ my situation I wasn't able to manage going to Carrie. But I will 100% make it work in the future because she's worth the effort. Don't make the same mistake I did! If you need to get waxed at all, schedule with Carrie because she is utterly extraordinary.

They only have one bathroom, though, so be sure to give yourself extra time to use it before your appointment. The massage beds were heated, and both of our massages were clearly personalized with unique techniques. I didn't even realize I had knots in my chest, and the way she worked on my shoulder blades was unreal. We both agreed this was one of the best massages we've had in the past year.
