This would be my second time going to Una's Barber shop. I was in need of a hair cut real bad and the amazing staff on both occasions were absolutely amazing. Upon arriving at the barber shop particularly Friday. It was a busy day. I was greeted by the receptionist and walked if they accept walk ins, which they do. I really didn't wait long on my first time but my second time I had to wait one hour in half before i got into the chair. I knew waiting would be worth it because the barbers take time to actually make your hair cut look nice. No cookie cutter type of hair cut. The first time I had a male cut my hair (I forgot his name) and the second time was a female. Also (forgot her name). They are wonderful and pretty chill and not awkward at all. They do have appointments if you have a particular barber that you want to cut your hair. But plan ahead. Don't expect to get barber right away if you come in as a walk in. Brilliant cuts, but too damn long of a wait. Receptionist didn't seem bothered and stayed on her phone most of the time. Place is dated and in need of organization and a good clean up. I brought in my elderly father with Alzheimer's last month and was blown away by how much Una cares! My dad is no easy shave and trim; Una is kind and patient and loving. They're super flexible which is something else I love. My dad doesn't care much about schedules and appointments any more. I take him in when he's willing. And Una's (at least first two trips) finds a way to squeeze him in. My dad looks great after the trim and shave! If I had any hair I'd bring myself in every month, but as long as my dad is alive Una's is the place for us! read more

Growing up in Utah as a person of color can be be very difficult. One of the most difficult parts is all the bad haircuts that you can get going to salons and hairstylists. This isn't to knock salons cause you do what you do. But if you want a tight fade or taper you go to Una's. I got a taper and a shave and it was the best hair cutting experience I've ever had. The staff is friendly, the music is great and still professional, sports talk going on in the background. It's everything that you could ask for with a barber shop. I've been to other barbers but I will definitely be going back to Una's from now on. These guys do phenomenal work, BUT DO NOT TRY TO WALK IN. It took 2+ hours just to get seated last time I did that. And I arrived 5 minutes before they opened. Then the haircut takes 45-60 minutes. Make an appointment. Trust me. You will not be disappointed with their work, they are the best I've ever been to. Baylee is my barber of choice and she always make me look good. The services is top notch and unlike all the Sportsclips/Craig Cuts/Fantastic Sam's places, these people KNOW how to cut hair right. I'm a life-long customer. read more

I've gone here a few times and the majority of the barbers are pretty good but this last time was the worst haircut I have gotten. It was from the new guy right behind the receptionist and he messed me up bad. My sides are different lengths and patchy. I asked for a inch off the and in some places he took off probably 2 inches but in others only 1/2. My top is long all around but he raised my side part into the top in the back and so 1/4th of my top is the same length as the sides but the rest of the top is around 4 inches longer; I'll have to restart my hair I've been growing for months because this guy didn't know how to listen. All the other barbers here are great at giving people just what they ask for; might have a long wait time but I would recommend them all except for the new guy behind the receptionist. read more

This place is really good I love getting hair cuts here, they do a quality job. It's an experience for a fair price. My only complaint is that I've been calling for an hour trying to schedule an appointment but no one is answering very frustrating. But these barbers have always done me good so I will never but nothing short of 5 stars. Just really wish they would answer so I can schedule my next appointment. Still no answer in the past 2 hours. I work 6 days a week 9 am to 4pm and I've gotten off work early twice now to come get my hair cut and have been turned away at 3:50pm because they don't take walk ins an hour before they close which is ridiculous if your hours are in til 5 pm honor it or change your closing hour to 4 pm. read more

The barbers here do the best skin fades, tapers, etc. I have found that I get the best haircut when I show a picture of exactly what I want. Rebecca told me it's hard to do a haircut when you show a picture and say, "I want it like this, BUT change this and that." TREAT-YO-SELF! I haven't shaved my beard in over five years and I needed to complete an assignment on Self and Perception for school. I figured I would lose the beard, and treat my self while I was at it. I already miss the beard, but it was worth the experience. I have never had a hot towel shave done before, and always wanted the experience. Bruce was the man to entrust with my face and a straight blade. He took great care of me. It was a relaxing and refreshing experience. All I could hope for. I would give it five stars, but being my first hot towel shave, I had nothing to compare to. Last of all, I did some looking around before and found Una's Barber Shop to be the most available to set up an appointment. I made the appointment just hours before. They are also ready to handle walk-ins. Which I think is great for just bringing in and servicing the people. I thought the price was reasonable, too.
