The salon is nothing fancy but they do a great job for pedicures, manicures, and gel/shellac. I really appreciate the attention they pay to hygiene and sterilization procedures. The ladies are super nice and the prices are good. The reason I didn't give them a higher rating is because of the guy who does the acrylic and dip nail services. Like many have said, nothing overly fancy, but clean. Not overly corny as well, which is nice compared to some of the nail salons I've gone to. I got a gel manicure and it was 25$. I had my nails painted with normal nail polish when I came in and I noticed she asked if they were gel when I initially asked for the price. So I'm assuming that they do actually charge 10$ for taking gel off. I only point this out because for every other nail salon I've gone to get gel at, they don't actually charge me to get my gel removed if I'm also getting gels. I always come out with an air bubble or lint trapped in at least one nail but I don't mind personally because I come here only once in a while (every 6-8 months) but it's not somewhere I'd go regularly to always do my nails. read more

I have been a customer here for 22 years. I have never been called by my name, ever. was in yesterday for pedicure. tech started on my service; then two other people walked in and the tech wanted to put me on hold while she serviced the other customer; l was pushed off on another tech so that she could service this person; lied and said that she forgot that she had this appt. already. This is the second time that I've had this experience with this particular tech. Really not sure if it's because of my race; but it's always a White person that takes her away from me in the middle of my service; seems really odd that after 22 years, no damn body even acknowledge me by me name...actually, no greeting at all. I've thought that they just didn't speak English well, but I noticed that they don't seem to have a problem speaking to "others". I really didn't want to pull the Race Card, but now, I'm not so sure. I came in and asked for acrylic nails with white tips, something that every nail salon should know how to do.. well I was wrong. Overcharged, first. Second, there's only one person (and it's the very rude man) who can do acrylics. He didn't even know how to put the acrylic powder on... it was so lopsided and the tips of the nails were extremely thick and uneven. Then he goes "well what color do you want" and I said.. again.. the white tips like a French manicure. He goes to paint on the white tips (which I have never had them painted on before) and the tips are completely uneven. Lastly, he says to put my fingers in front of the fan, 5 minutes go by and he says "okay your done where the credit card" and I'm just confused and say "my nails are still wet i can't get my card". He demanded for the card and started getting very rude, so I went through my purse to give it to him and almost every nail smudged and he wouldn't fix it after. Went in for shellac mani pedi. They struggled to remove my old shellac and I had to stop her from prepping my nails for the next color because there was still red all over my nails. Another woman stepped in and basically redid the grooming (still a ton of cuticle etc.), did the pedi it was fine. They advised me against the color I wanted and kept saying it was too light... I said I didn't mind how it looked with 2 coats. Same woman did my nails everything seemed fine. Paid, tipped, left. Fast forward less than 3 hours my right thumb is rippled pretty badly and my other nails, I realized were soft. Next morning, They agreed to fix them so I go in to get them fixed... they low key mocked me/ blamed my sitting poorly on it not drying even though it wasn't just my thumb. Refused to fix the toes w/ same polish. I model so it does me no good to have mis matched hands/ feet. I just took my 20$ elsewhere to change the polish. Not to mention there's a hair trapped in my nail she says she didn't see. And shellac bubbles (can't see in pics). read more

My fingernails will always look like an eight year old's nails after a hard day of making mud pies. I'm pretty hard on my hands. Plus, I'm cursed with a "murderer's thumb" on one hand which always makes a nail specialist take a second look. My only consolation is that Megan Fox has two of them. I always joke that if I hitchhiked, I would only get a ride down the block. While I ignore my fingernails, I will say that I L-O-V-E getting pedicures. (In case you're wondering, my big toe doesn't conversely look like a fingernail.) Lily Nails always has availability. I don't drop in; I usually call ahead and set a time and I'll say that they've only been a few minutes behind if it gets busy. The prices are fair (about $20 for a pedicure, plus a $1 credit card fee) and they do the whole gamut for you: foot soak, trim, scrub, massaging chair et al. Last weekend, the gal warned me that my second toe nail was about to fall off and I should get some medicine for it. There's a slight communication barrier between us, but she was really worried about my toenail. Unfortunately, there's no medicine for wearing too-small sand socks during beach VB which caused a blister under the nail bed. Sure enough, a few days later at volleyball, my nail disappeared into the sand. Never to be seen again. I appreciated her trying to warn me, though. As usual, it's a week later and my pedicure is flawless. I'm amazed how long their pedicures last given the activities I do. Nine, nine perfect-looking toes. read more

I stop by this place on my way home from work, and I'm always amazed at how quickly they work. I get shellac manicures and regular pedicures here, and I'm usually in and out within an hour. Considering that neither the removal of shellac nail polish nor the reapplication of it are quick processes, it's pretty remarkable, really! And for some reason I always feel like the shellac manicures they give me last better than other ones I've had from other salons. They do $45 shellac manis with pedis, which is about $5-$10 cheaper than other places nearby. They don't spend a lot of time massaging my shoulders, arms, and calves like the other place used to, but I can deal with that. The staff is friendly enough, but they won't go out of their way to make conversation with you if you don't chat with them first. Oh, and they take AmEx, which is always a plus for me! I will keep frequenting this place because they do good work at lower than average prices and faster than average speeds. read more

Could there actually be a nail salon on the south end that sterilizes it's tools, provides an affordable ($30) spa/pedi complete w/comfy massage chairs, and has an ample selection of quality nail polish in a clean salon with air conditioning? I think so!! Although, it pains me to have sworn off the shop walking distance to my house in Columbia City..it needed to be done. Van was the total opposite of the woman who did my mani/pedi at the shop in Col City (by BofA). Van did NOT make me bleed, she did not rudely yammer away on her cell phone the ENTIRE time she was working, and she did not spend a nanosecond on my callouses. My heels would send even the best pedicurist running, but Van didn't back down. She was gentle with the razor and ASKED FIRST and really spent some solid time working on my crocodile heels w/the pumice stone. I don't expect perfection on this front, but right now they are smoother than they've been in a long time. No paint on my cuticles..everyone in this shop was professional and nice. I Love Love Love pedicures!! and this place isn't too bad! you know I'm not exactly sure what really makes them unique but I like them because they are very close to my house, the price isn't bad, the staff is friendly, and last but not least and my favorite reason is because they do some really pretty nail art! This was the first place I ever had nail art done and now I can't go anywhere without a cute little flower on my toes! I'll be honest, I may never give a nail spa a full 5 stars unless it's set up is much more....comfortable and they have a great ventilation system because the one thing I can't stand about the quick and go nail salons is the smell of the fumes! yuck! again, though, this one wasn't bad so I definitely recommend this place and ask for a nail design cuz they do add a nice lil sumthin to your toes! read more

But i kept on going back BECAUSE i live in the south end and it is HARD to find a nail salon where (1) that takes credit cards and (2) that actually SANITIZE after each use of the tools (yah! hard to believe right?!) I was back in town visiting since I've moved to another state and wanted a nail place that was fairly or regularly priced (not that $50 for a pedicure crap), but also close to where I was staying as well. It was my last night in Seattle so I decided on a whim that I was going to get a pedi with my sister. I got on Yelp to find a place and picked our colors. We were greeted upon entrance which I liked. We also got started at the same time which I appreciated. During the service everything was okay until she went to like cut the dead skin by the cuticle area or whatever it is they do, and pinched my UNDEAD skin on THREE different toes. I told her if it happened one more time I was getting out of the chair without paying. She seemed irritated, but whatever. If it happens once ehh, but 3 times in a service? Get a grip or get more training. She also gave me like a 30 second massage on each foot meanwhile my sister was next to me getting the works, getting a nice long massage about 3 minutes per foot. We were paying the same price for the same service, so why weren't we getting the same treatment? My sister was getting a mani in addition to her pedicure, so I decided I wanted one too. Someone else did my mani and did a pretty good job. My hands were softer and much cuter than when I had came in. This is probably the longest last mani I've ever had. I got it a week ago, and it's still on. Mind you it's not even shellac. That's a HUGE deal to me. All in all, I would probably come here again, I just wouldn't go to the same person. read more

I came here the other day for the first time, just to try a new salon. I was incredibly disappointed in my acrylic nails I got. I requested coffin shaped nails and he gave me more of a square shape. I asked him multiple times to thin them out at the tips and to straighten out the ends and he continued to tell me he would fix them later just to then send me off to get them painted, my nails are crooked and square, not coffin shaped. Hmm mix feelings. Needed somewhere close with decent ratings. Read about this place that does shellac mani and pedi for $45. Arrived and there were three other patrons (older generation). A few staff sitting in the corner. I get greeted and I told em what I was there for. They sat me down got the foot soak going and had me pick out the shellac color as I brought my own polish for the toes. I get worked on the feet and another tech comes and began prep work on my hand.. I don't like that just bc I was hoping to relax. The woman who did my toes did ok, don't expect a thorough massage of any sort or even a decent one. The apply of polish was ok. She missed the sides a bit. I have the type of nail beds that requires to be slightly pulled back in order to get to the sides. I of course couldn't really tell since I can barely see my feet so let alone the details! The shellac mani, same ordeal, the woman fail to get some of my finger nail sides. I caught a few and mentioned it after the first coat. I get "I'm do another coat" I understand that.. But wouldn't you want to get it done right he first coat so the second coat applied would look right? Btw, she was irritated when I brought it to her attention.. Nonetheless, after I was done I took a quick glance and felt it was done "ok" and so I'm my opinion, I believe to have tipped a bit too much. I got into the car and got a closer look and confirmed my "over tipping". Would I go back? Potentially but I rather go find somewhere else and hope there are better rating nail salons around that are not in a sketchy area (not saying this place was)..
