I had my first time getting Gel-X extensions done here and it was a great experience! I have worked with Kelsey for both Stage 1 and Stage 3 designs, and she does not disappoint! The quality is every bit as good as you see on their Instagram. I'm not really sure what to review when it comes to getting your nails done other than the design, which I attached photos of (the stage 3 design I got done before my bachelorette), but I can attest to the fact that my first set of extensions & polish lasted for almost a month (I got them filled after 3 weeks, and then a new set for my stage 3 design). My nail lady did a superb job on my pedicure and manicure. I really enjoy having such long nails what's a lovely paint and shimmering cat eye effect, and the best part is it doesn't come off like those fake nails I used to do on special occasions. I booked a last minute appointment and they gave me someone who was clearly new or inexperienced. I don't understand salons that do this, I'm paying the same amount in services as everyone else in the store. If anything, it's more because I asked for builder gel. It's depressing when I come in to a store wanting to treat myself and am disappointed with the results and the treatment. The lady didn't even clean up my cuticles until I noticed she was about to start polishing. Then she hurt my middle finger making it bleed and I just wanted to leave in the middle of it so bad. I usually never complain but this was just outright disrespectful. It also just looks bad. At the end of my session, they then proceed to tell me builder gel is for longer natural nails instead of telling me beforehand as if they're trying to justify the poor quality work. After a week, even though it's builder gel it's starting to peel off from the cuticle side. Vibe was alright there was one young friendly lady but that was it. Everyone else was pretty hostile and quiet, definitely save yourselves the time and emotional turmoil of going here or explicitly ask for someone experienced. read more

Disappointing. I'm writing this review A WEEK later and I'm still mad. I spent a total of $130 and 2.5 hours here for a bad manicure but at least decent pedi. I had made an appointment online and requested a basic manicure with an additional French tip finish for an extra $15, with the Koko pedi. I am NEW to getting manicures, I never get them when I go to a salon. I showed up on time for my appointment and was greeted at the door. One woman asked me, "mani/pedi?" and I said yes, thinking they knew who I was and what I requested. I was seated and waited for 15 minutes additional minutes to be seen. I was given a nail color selection to browse, to which they told me to "pick a color." When the manicurist came to me she asked about the color, I choose a nude pink shade and she got to work. We had a good, easy conversation while she painted my nails. When she said "all done" I stopped to ask her about the French tip part that I also signed up for online. She was visibly confused and spoke Vietnamese to another staff member who hurried over and spoke with her more before turning to me to say "we don't do French tip with color." Now I was confused because I expected for them to have known what I'd signed up for and not suggested color to me in the first place? Granted I understand that I should have also known the specifics of what a french tip was but I'd never gotten one before. In the end they were clearly upset and she said "well now I have to start all over." She hurriedly took off the color in uncomfortable silence and gave me a terrible french manicure with basic clear coat on top. I asked if I could get the gel on top, to which she said "theres no time, you still have to get the pedicure." I asked her how long this manicure would last and she told me 3 DAYS. The pedicure was great and relaxing with the fully reclining chair and massage and WOULD have made up for the manicure - but it all felt rushed and awkward with the earlier misunderstanding ESPECIALLY when they still CHARGED ME for the French tips WITHOUT GEL. I may have caught them on a bad day, but for the price and time I spent there it was not worth it. read more

Here it is, my first one star review. I was here for my birthday nails because of all the good reviews but I walked away extremely disappointed. I was wrong for trusting this salon. Cried for a bit in my car for wasting $200 and 3 hours here. Would not trust this place to do nails for events because of the following reasons. First disappointment: see picture. Originally, this cost me $105! The pretty pictures you see here and on IG are a FALSE representation of their salon's skills. They only posted work from 1-2 ppl that are actually good. The nail tech had me lack essential art and nail skills: I had to correct multiple mistakes that she did not care/notice, such as having crooked lines, not following the design, cutting corners, etc. At the end of the third hour, I ran out of patience. She buffs my nails very roughly every time she makes a mistake/forgets something that ends up making my cuticles bleed and burn. Every time I spoke to her softly about what I wanted fixed, she would later speak in Vietnamese in bad tones. Like, really? This attitude for THIS SKILL for THIS PRICE? Please train your staff properly before charging us over $100 for something that looks this amateur. On my ring finger, you can see the white color coming through the design when it's supposed to be fully gold. My hand looks cheap for what I paid. At the end of my manicure, 7/10 of my fingers were burning either from the nail tech over-buffing or excess polish that got on my skin but wasn't cleaned up and was cured/burnt into my skin. Second disappointment: the lack of transparency with their pricing. They should have updated the customer the price change as the service goes on, rather than surprising you at check out. I had never once in my life asked to speak to the owner/manager as I did not want to be that person. Especially I saw all the nail techs here are minorities, and I wanted to support my people. However, this time, I did, when my total bill came out to $195 before the tip. The girl gave me a 10% discount because my cuticles were wounded. When I showed her my hand and said, "I've looked through your IG page, and you guys have very beautiful works. Can you take a look at this, and is this the same standard of service you feel okay with?" She just looked at me in silence. That said enough. Don't be scammed by Koko Nail Studio. I wish I had driven a little further to my old nail lady, who charges way less for better skills and service. Took these photos right after I got the service. read more

Would give a zero if I could. The clean-up mani with no polish was not clean. I still had dirt under my nails which were not filed or tided. The mani was okay but the girl kept on insisting in turning on the massage and lumber despite my repeated requests to turn them off. The chair being suddenly pushed back so your head is down and feet up was just weird and left my blood rushing to my brain. totally over rated. Not worth the extra expense. read more

This is the cutest, most relaxing and clean nail studio! I love how easy it is to schedule online. When you walk through n you immediately noticed how quaint and personable the space is. The pedicure chairs are the coziest massage recliners. After meticulous nail shaping and scrub, my oil massage, hot stones and nail painting were performed while I was reclined back with a cozy eye mask on! I almost fell asleep! I'm not from the area (from california) and this was the BEST pedicure i have ever gotten. My mom, who's also from california, has come to seattle once a month since august (for various reasons) and every time she makes sure to stop by here to get a mani pedi.
