Annie did so good I love how she did it BOOK HER!!!!

really love the way Annie did my nails because she was so kind and patient with me. She paid attention to every little detail and made sure everything looked perfect. Her creativity and talent truly showed in the final result, and I felt so happy and confident after she finished. Annie made the whole experience fun and relaxing, and I would definitely go back to her again because she is amazing at what she does and makes people feel special always every single time.

I want to start by saying these folks are really nice & it's probably a great salon for most people. The atmosphere is very relaxing inside. However, I went here a few weeks ago for a dip manicure and specifically told the manicurist that I am severely allergic to gel polish and that I get contact dermatitis every time it touches my skin. When I go to other salons and tell them this they make sure to do a purely dip manicure with the special dip manicure top coat that requires no UV light at all. Even after telling them this they proceeded to put gel top coat on my dip manicure! It was too late and I left knowing I would break out shortly. The next day I called them and told them the situation and asked if I could get them removed. They said they could do a full removal or just remove the top coat & put a different top coat on (I would think the dip specific top coat) so I go with this. I go in the next day and they remove the gel top coat just to put regular top coat on, for regular polish which this is not! I don't have a picture but they looked pretty bad at this point, very dull and scratched up. I went home and redid the polish as you can see in the pics (I'm not an expert don't judge) in hopes to get some shine back. I inevitably had to rip them off a week later because the irritation never stopped. Now I'm left with dry cracked hands for at least a month. If you have a gel allergy and specifically get dip for this reason do not go here. I would love to get my $80 back. I will not be getting my nails done again I am traumatized by this experience.

Lee is absolutely so amazing, sweet and detail oriented when it comes to waxing! I had found this place by last minute and called if they could fit me in for a Brazilian and eyebrow wax. I am so happy I found this hidden gem. This was the best experience and wax I've had in a long time! Very kind, patient, and talented. highly recommend this nail salon! Annie usually takes care of my nails and she does such a good quality job. Shame shame on you for selling me the cheapest lashes ever. It's heartbreaking because I've been coming to you for so many years and you sold me a low quality lash at a premium price. The ladies here were super accommodating and helped me at the last minute for a mani pedi for an event the next day. They also did a fabulous job. The last gel manicure I had started coming off in less than a week. This is still intact a week later as it should be. THANK YOU!! read more

I want to start by saying these folks are really nice & it's probably a great salon for most people. The atmosphere is very relaxing inside. Mimosas, red and white wine options! I've actually never left a review before for a single business EVER, but this salon I cannot take for granted, for the level of dedication and care for its customers. I honestly hope to stay living in the area so that I don't have to switch nail salons. They have the spa quality capacity for every kind of occasion (bridal shower, baby shower, etc.) on a group scale, yet they still provide such qualitative, individualized attention that I continue to appreciate. My sister and I went to Star Nails for pedicures and absolutely love this nail salon! First, the vibe is relaxed and calming. Secondly, Annie from the salon gave us amazing pedicures! I paid $100 for a manicure -- I really did find it beautiful but after only a few days, all the gems fell off. This is a really expensive manicure for everything to fall apart so quickly. They also told me it costs $10 extra for a base under french tip, which I've never seen before in my many years getting manicures. I declined and then as the pedicure continued they encouraged me to do it anyways. I do feel like this place is really... after your money. I was visiting, and live in a major city, which I tend to get cheaper services with better quality. This was good service, the ladies were nice, but I can't believe I spent $155 + $25 tip for a gel pedicure french tip and a gel manicure french tip with diamonds that fell off instantly. read more

Terrible! Such a waste of money. Went to get a full set & walked out with this hot mess! All nails were different lengths and shapes. You can also tell that not enough polish was used. I had the lady fix the shapes and after she kept going shorter and it got worse, I told her I had somewhere to be. So if you look at the pricing a full gel set starts at $35 and up. I was charged $55 for this she said my nails are long! First of all, they are very short, they are all different shapes and lengths, you cut me and this is absurd. I had to leave so after she started arguing, I paid and left. I called later and the man was very rude on the phone and said since he didn't do my nails he can't help me. Then the lady who actually did this shit got On the phone super rude and argumentative. I wouldn't recommend this place at all! Very unprofessional, overcharge people, and shit quality work! Smh read more

Great choices for polish and a nice salon, but for the price...I've had much better. A regular mani/pedi ran me $65. That was just the spa pedi and regular polish, the girl doing my hands while in the pedicure chair. Props for being the only salon opened on a Sunday after 5pm. But quality lacks for the price. read more

Rude staff with zero social skills and mediocre abilities. I scheduled an appointment with the male manicurist there as he slays some acrylics even though he has the bedside manner of a soap dish. When I came a woman made me wait 15 minutes and told me would be doing my nails instead of the guy who didn't even show up. She didn't paint the top on my nail and when I asked her to go over again she was super rude and called me difficult. 1 week later and the nailS have peeled where she didn't get the top. She charged me $15 extra for shellac that peeled. They do not have a price board and shout out prices as they go. $77 for a fill with shellac? And it's was only $60 for the FULL SET Ombré? Nah. Let's put them out of business, they are disrespectful and don't belong in this neighborhood. read more

This place is amazing and surprisingly cheap compared to the east side of WA. I had a natural matte in the coffin shape. I FEEL LIKE A BADDIE! My nail tech, Tri was very friendly and had great convos with him. I'd visit for new nails again when I'm back in Seattle! read more

Highly, highly recommend this nail salon! The owners are a very sweet couple and I really enjoy chatting with both of them while getting my nails done. They're both so kind and their energy is so refreshing! I've been to and have frequented many nail salons and the wife who owns this shop is one of the best I've had at shaping! She's so detailed oriented with her shaping and she really takes her time to ensure each nail looks good. She did my entire set in the photos I uploaded and I am so happy with the result! The marbling and gold came out so good. This nail salon is definitely a southend gem and weekdays are not busy so you won't have to wait too long! My nails always look amazing when I get them done at Star Nails!! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the wait is usually a while. But other than that, I'd highly recommend them! HE was the reason that I am amending my review, and I'm sorry that his business may be negatively affected by the manager representing his company. I have been happy with my waxes, so I will return. As it turns out, covid staffing issues mixed with a generic nationwide ad created an issue with getting answers, which is all I wanted. I always feel that while mistakes are made, it's how they are handled that show a businesses true colors. I bought a couple of wax passes for my daughter and I. I had an ad in hand that stated a price, and then was charge $90 more. I noticed before leaving, and the receptionist said that the ads aren't always up to date. I made 12 phone calls over more than a month, was given the run around until I was finally told that they wouldn't honor the advertised price. Beware of the sneaky charges at this place! I realize that I should have noticed immediately, but they were running almost an hour behind on our appointment and I was on the phone rescheduling an appointment that I was about to be late to when the finally got around to ringing it up and letting me sign. $90 is a huge discrepancy!

Walked in and immediately loved this salon. This spacious business not only exceeds expectations but goes above and beyond for your comfort. The welcoming staff are friendly and attentive to your every need and even offer drinks while you relax getting a pedicure (which is what my partner and I received). This salon is unlike any salon you will ever visit. The prices are perfect for the quality and walk-ins are welcomed. Star Nails is a delightful Rainier Beach treat. The big, comfy massage chairs have got your back covered, but should they miss a spot, don't worry- the shoulder massage at the end of your manicure releases any lingering tension. My legs and feet feel like newborn babies after their sea salt scrub-down. One of my feet has higher arches and takes more abuse from normal walking, so the extra attention to my arches during the foot massage was heavenly. My toes got a base coat, bright green China Glaze polish, and a top coat to finish it off. I asked for no polish on my nails, so I could use my Espionage Cosmetics wraps from ECCC, and Hanna instead gave them a stunning buff. I cannot wait for my next visit! read more

I came here on the mother's day with my friend. I'm surprised that they were not busy. I had pedi and shellac mani. The girl with glasses doing my mani is my fab. She is funny and so detail with my nails. The last time she did my nails and it lasts about 5 weeks. The coffee is also a highlight. I would absolutely recommend this salon. Awesomeness !! read more

Star Nails is the best Nail salon in Seattle. I have been going here for over 15 years. Lee is the absolute truth when it comes to doing eyebrows. I have been received excellent service from Star Nails for years. I get a pedicure, fill and my eye brows waxed every two weeks. I also get eyelash extensions, which always look so natural. The owners and employees are always very pleasant, customer service oriented, and very accommodating. I highly recommend this salon. read more
