My friend and I found them on Yelp. We are so happy we did. We made appointments for the following morning and they were very thorough and took their time on our gel manicures. I haven't gotten one since pandemic and have been doing it myself. It was nice to finally get them done. My friend now has a new nail spot too now in Burien. Gel manicure wasn't too thick and they shaped our nails perfectly. I got cat eye nail polish and my friend got a more neutral tone. Due to covid, it is appointment only and they limit who is in the store. It is nice and clean. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. read more

Best pedicure experience I've ever had even if I did come out without any polish.Now I know why one of my big toe nails has been cracking at the end for the last couple years. It was the first time anyone educated me about the health of my toe nails which are weak and discolored from decades of always wearing polish. Found this place through Yelp and loved how easy it was to make an appointment through Yelp. There are two sisters working here and I would say that the reviews are spot on. When you enter they spray your hand with sanitizer and then check your temperature. You have to wear a mask as well and they've limited the number of people in the shop. I had a gel manicure and a pedicure done and didn't feel rushed at all. They've got their appointment timing down to a tee. I spent about an hour and 45 minutes to get everything done, and now am waiting for my pedicure to dry. The place is extremely clean and they've put in covid measures like clear plexiglass between the client and the technician. I'm the only one getting a pedicure with no one sitting next to me (most ladies were getting manicures and still a seat apart). Overall I would definitely come back as it feels like you're a valued customer, versus someone they're just trying to cycle through. By appointment only. In terms of COVID- this place would get 5 stars if ONLY basing it on Covid cleanliness and hygiene. That is big for sure if you have concerns regarding this issue. Masks mandatory, nails checked for fungus and lots of disinfecting happening the whole time. Also, very sweet staff. I found it a bit much, and my dip nails were just not good and she did a layer of gel over them which is not great. I let her do it because it was clear that is how she does them (my nail professional back home does only dip and only gel if there are designs). What happens is subpar lasting coverage - the gel lifted and looked bad within a few days. It was cost $75 to do my nails. Not cheap but maybe going rate in Washington? Also the cuticle treatment was intense as was the use of the drill. I def felt the burn of the drill and my cuticles are still healing. I feel bad leaving such a crap review when they have so many fans, but I honestly am confused as to why - beyond excellent attentiveness to COVID protocols - this place has 5 stars... so I want others to be aware. They are nice and to each their own with Covid protocols so this may be just the right place for you - I don't require that level of Covid safety. This nail salon is the BEST nail salon that I have ever been to. The shop is a cute little area right off the main road, with lots of parking in the front and around the building. The ladies that were inside were so lovely! I had an amazing time here; they kept engaging in a conversation with me and it really made me feel welcomed. My nails came out better than expected, she kept asking if I liked them and if she needed to change anything to make them better-she was really catering to my needs and what I preferred. So I don't generally get pedicures and manicures because one, I'm lazy and two, I can do it myself lol but! I am 6 months pregnant and I cannot reach my toes for the life of me. I made my husband cut my toe nails but we both got very nervous So, I decided it's time to get pedicure. Now, I don't like people touching my feet and I am very ticklish (like I will legit kick them if they scrub my feet) so I made an appt and I told them to skip the scrubbing because the outcome will be no bueno for them. They sprayed hand sanitizer to my hands as soon as I came in (masks are required which I was glad) and they took my temperature. Btw I did get lost, their sign is not really noticeable so when you're on 1st ave, if you see O'reilly's, it's literally across the street next to a barber shop. The parking is limited so you might wanna come a bit earlier to secure your spot. The lady was super friendly and their facility was very clean. I sat on their massage chair and we just talked about random things while she did my pedicure. My feet feel super smooth now! And their customer service was excellent. They made sure the water was an ok temperature for me and asked if everything was alright. Best of all, it's pretty cheap! Like $35 for pedicure? I tipped them 20% and they thanked me and gave me a Godiva chocolate. Dang, I felt pampered. Highly recommend this place! read more

I called a few days ahead to make a pedicure for my friend and I at 10:30am. Bummer that we couldn't sit right next to each other but we had the area to ourselves. We got alcohol spray for our hands upon entering and our temperature checked. We had the place to ourselves for the most part and one person can in for a mani when we were almost done. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We will be back. read more

Best in state of Washington! Their sanitation is impeccable. I have not been to any nail salons EVER that take sanitation so seriously. They inspect feet for fungus before agreeing to do pedicure. Truly work by appointments and the service is amazing. Truly the best ever! They do require masks. read more

I went here on a whim, and I could not be more impressed! I got one of the most beautiful set of acrylic nails that I've ever had! The nails look thin, and totally natural. The polish was absolutely perfect with no bumps or divots. The two women that work there are absolutely amazing, super friendly and kind. The atmosphere was charming with a lot of lush, green plants, and very clean. I feel like I discovered a hidden gem! Highly highly recommend!!!! read more

I have found my new favorite place to get my nails done when I go home! At first I worked with Oanh and we had a very pleasant and easy going conversation as she expertly worked on my nails. Next her sister Tee finished my nails and she and I also had a comfortable fun conversation. These two ladies are very welcoming and caring about their customers. This is the best manicure I've had so far in Burien! They took their time and did a fantastic job on my manicure. I felt comfortable and trusted the tech - she was very pleasant and thorough. My one criticism is that the color sample wheel was a chaotic mess and stressful to look through. Most colors had sparkles and made me wish I had brought my own gel polish. read more

I am absolutely obsessed with this little salon. It's been here for 6 years and everything is so clean and neat. Even my boyfriend said there was no overwhelming nail salon smell while he waits for me. The salon only allows appointments to better your experience, increasing relaxation and to give them enough time to focus on you. I think that's what makes me love this place more. The two sisters are very easy to talk to and gentle on your cuticles! This was my first visit and I think I'm gonna be a regular from now on. read more

Definitely my new go-to pedicure salon. When it's your first time there, expect that one of the ladies there will remove your polish & take a look at your nails for signs of fungus. It may make you feel uncomfortable at first, but they truly care about your health, spot even early signs, have recommendations to treat it, & want to protect all their clients. They'd rather lose your business than spread fungus to their other clients. That impressed me. It's the cleanest nail salon I've ever been in. Impressed with Ultimate Nails from the moment I messaged them on Yelp. Quick response time to inquiries and were so understanding when I had to cancel my initial appointment due to a pet emergency. When I was finally able to make it in several days later, they were thoughtful enough to ask after my dog. The service I received was top notch - I brought in a picture of what I wanted and the look was recreated perfectly. My nail tech recommended a cuticle oil which I have been using and have noticed a marked improvement of my nails and cuticles. The main reason I opted to go with Ultimate is because the salon is appointment only and therefore minimizes the number of people in the salon at any given time. They are taking Covid precautions VERY seriously which I truly appreciate. read more

Love love LOVE Oanh and T at Ultimate Nails!! They are wonderful humans and they do wonderful work. I particularly appreciate that the salon is appointment only, so they're never overbooked. I don't have to worry about fighting for my appointment spot against a walk-in that came in right ahead of me like I've had happen at other places. They also take hygiene and cleanliness very seriously; everyone wears masks (clients too!), your hands are sanitized upon entry, your nails inspected for fungus. All of the equipment is properly sterilized - right down to the chairs between clients. Ultimate Nails has a huge selection of gel colors, and Oanh is always happy to experiment and try something new with designs, colors, etc. She also has a ton of stamps that are my current obsession. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment at Ultimate Nails, you're in for a real treat. The service is exceptional, the prices are reasonable, and you'll leave with beautiful nails!! read more

I travel A LOT for work. If I cannot wait until I return home to get my fingers & toes tidied-up, I open up the trusty Yelp app and search for salons with info, tips & reviews that best-match my needs. After searching through many businesses, Ultimate Nails near SEATAC seemed to be the best fit. I called around 10am to make an appointment. They had same day availability at 12:30. Done. They called me appx 5 minutes later & offered noon. Done again. I used Yelp to find a place for lunch then headed to the salon. Previous reviews indicated the salon is very clean. The US is currently experiencing a surge in COVID cases, so I arrived masked-up and ready for inspection. They did not disappoint. A mask was required for entry. I was asked to use hand sanitizer placed immediately inside the entry. My temperature was checked via IR thermometer by a staff member wearing masks and gloves. I used their restroom to change into pedicure-friendly pants & shoes and placed my streets clothes in the car. I was asked to sanitize again when I returned. Since it was my first visit to the salon, an employee asked which services I wanted and if she could see my nails. That was appreciated. Fingernails were no problem. I could get tips with dip or acrylic. My toes became an issue. Background: I had ingrown toenails on both my big toes removed by a physician circa 2011. The doc cut A LOT off the sides leaving gaps between the nails and skin. Don't cry for me Yelpentina. Skin has filled in the gaps and my toes look normal....dare I say sessxy. BUT, since the area was technically traumatized/altered, the skin that fills in the gaps is like any skin that heals, tough like scar tissue. The tough skin FEELS like ingrown nails. I like it, no I NEED IT, cleaned out during every pedicure. THAT brings me full circle...instead of needing ingrown nails cut, now I need skin DOH! Not to mention it's an Extreme PITA to tell the backstory every time I visit a new place. After hearing my story, the employee stated they do not remove ingrown nails at their salon. She asked if she could remove my polish to look, to which I agreed. She removed the polish and took a look. Like I said, you cannot see the tough skin. She stated they would not remove any ingrowns or clean out the skin. Although I was disappointed, I appreciated the honesty up-front. We both agreed that this might not be the right salon for my needs. I recognize I took an appointment slot. I also appreciated her time and honestly. I purchased a bottle of glittery OPI polish that looked like it had been in the case since the 20th century. I included a few extra dollars and went on my way to find a different salon, which I did. I was happily beautilicious by 4pm the same day. Plus, I have a souvenir of my visit to Seattle - a lacquer & glitter experiment to study for years to come. read more

This place is the BEST nail place in Burien! The girl who did my nails looked so young but she has been doing. Nails for 13 years! They are miracle workers and such sweet girls! I was able to make an appointment post covid closures and they were able to accommodate me for an ombré dip...they did a great job practicing all safety procedures with a temperature check, hand sanitizer and plexiglass shields. I still get compliments and this picture is a little over a week since my visit. I will be back! read more

A little thing about me and nail salons... they stress me out sometimes. You knooooow the typical experience: they are loud. It's definitely not a place to go to relax. And I'm not a person that enjoys small talk, so let's just say it had been a while since I had gotten my nails done. Fast forward to myself in my third trimester. My swollen feet made the executive decision to get a pedicure. I was wary, but Ultimate Nails was SUCH a pleasant change of scenery! It's located in the tiniest strip mall, inside the tiniest little establishment. There were two ladies, one working the mani side, and another working the pedi side. I was warmly greeted promptly, no yelling, "Hello, what you want?" or "What you here for?" I was approached and asked, "Hi are you Erika? You're here for the pedicure, right?" I was BLOWN away y'all. Another quick note about other nail salons at which I had gotten pedicures... you either have to ask them about the massage chair, or they usually forget. Here, they turned it on right away and showed me how to work the remote! #smallvictories Anyways, the pedicure was great, the massage amazing. The business has a backdoor that's usually open, and leads out to an apartment garden. But the BEST part... are you ready? It was quiet. The two ladies spoke about 2 words to each other the whole time I was there, and it was so soft spoken. It allowed me to really relax and enjoy the experience. No yelling from across the way, no children playing, just... peace. I've returned several times and will continue to visit again. These ladies truly enjoy their work, and take a vested interest in their customers. It's evident when they're greeted by their regular customers and asked about the smallest details (names, dates, events, sons, daughters, etc). Ultimate Nails is the place to go! read more

I found this place through Yelp and was able to make an appointment on here. It was quick and easy, the owner responds very fast. The nail technicians are all very sweet and accommodating! I wish I had gotten her name, but the one who did my nails did an amazing job!!! I've never been this satisfied leaving a nail salon before. I really loved how she asked me to check my nails to see if I liked it before moving on to each step. She really cares; she was very precise with everything making sure each nail was shaped and colored perfectly for my liking. Definitely recommend!!!! read more

Got a response in less than 1 hour. I had an appointment quicker than expected! Very happy about that. The salon is sparkling clean! All set up for the new Covid-19 restrictions. I am a WA certified nail technician. I came to Ultimate Nails because of the positive reviews, and because it takes too long for me to do my nails myself. The store front looks a little sketchy from the outside, and the inside is small and not much to talk about. But the space is absolutely clean! Tools are new or cleaned in front of you. All clients are required to submit to a fungus check, so you can feel confident that they're not ignoring the problem. I asked for a long coffin shape in traditional acrylic. The tech did a beautiful job, thin and well shaped. She did use tips but that's pretty standard. The set was pricy but totally worth it at $48 for a full set with regular polish. This place is by appointment only so call in advance or use Yelps Appointment Request feature. I'll be back, this place is a clear winner. read more

Got the holographic shellac mani on my natural nail twice with diff shades of purple. LOVED them, couldn't stop staring at them ALL the time. I ended up trying acrylic overlay somewhere and it so so bad it's embarrassing, I came here and they fixed it. With the overlay, nails would last probably 3 weeks. Won't ever stray from this place I would highly recommend making an appointment. Especially on a Saturday. They don't over book as their quality is so much more important than the quantity of people they can get in and out. read more

Now I'm sat in the chair, I was offered coffee/water. That was the nicest thing so far. I refused, not because I was offput or anything but because I brought my own water. service is started I ask my nail technician for a service I receive everytime I get a pedicure. For acrylic big toenail. She turns to her coworker who doesn't break her concentration to make eye contact and tells her "no we're busy" My tech looks up at me and tries to convey the message. I already understood. I am a sitting customer but was asked to come back later to get what I actually wanted or to settle for what they could do right now. I sat a bit frazzled for a moment & asked to be clear "so I am a customer & cannot receive the service I am requesting?" she looked quite bothered to break the news to me but she did. She was kind when telling me I was only getting what they were giving (in so many words) Being that I was on a break at work. I agreed. The rest of the pedicure was actually amazing. I just wish I couldve gotten what I wanted. Maybe next time I'll have to make an appt because the service itself was amazing. Cindy is GREAT & I'll be tipping her personally. She is the only reason I will be coming back here.

I went in for a regular mani/pedi and the lady seemed as if she was training for the esthetician Olympics with how fast she was rushing everything. She was literally just slapping the nail polish on thick and as fast as she could, which left bubbles and now after a couple hours, it's starting to peel. I could understand if she was rushing a little because it's busy or if they closed soon, but there was no one there in the middle of the day. The lady also cut me with the cuticle cutter and said it was from the nail file... I said that I'm pretty sure it was from the cuticle cutter...because it's literally my finger that got cut and I could feel it? She insisted it was the nail file... Okay sure. Also, some of my nails weren't filed all the way smooth... even though she didn't even cut them. Like, they were jagged. How? I still tipped, probably because I work in customer service and felt bad, but this was pretty awful. Super rushed, super messy and gaslighting me about how my finger got cut? Never again.
