I came in for a dip powder fill. He told me at front desk "we do a whole set of nails for $50" I said fine Woman only did a fill. He was still charging me $50 and said They do NOT charge for fills. Only full set even if they don't do a full set. Then i got French manicure with chrome powder. He charged me $30 extra. $10 for French and $20 for chrome. For a full they charged me $110! I have been impressed with their warm professionalism and the cleanliness of their salon. They pay particular attention to clean the work area beforehand and use plastic liners on top of that. I have been impressed with the care they give, especially since I have a lot of feet issues and ingrown toenails. On my last session in September, Tracy was gentle and carefully cut my ingrown toenail. Alcohol was sprayed on both nails and toenails before nail polish was applied. Great job. I will definitely come back again. 11Dec- I have returned back to Seattle after traveling in Asia since September. I had my Pedi, Mani in Kuala Lumpur during my travels. It was all right, but I was eager to get back and have my next Pedi Mani at Healthy Nails. Today, Angel did my manicure and Tracy did my pedicure. It did not disappoint. Tracy was very good and did a fabulous job. She was very careful and made sure that I was satisfied. I had the wonderful tangerine detox treatment and wax treatment. Both Tracy and Angel (she did my Mani) gave me an excellent experience. I got a good hand massage, wax treatment and lotion on my legs as well as both my hands and feet were sprayed with alcohol afterwards. I came in as a walk in and immediately asked "what do I need" I let them know I wanted to get a pedicure and the man at the desk made a face and told me to wait.. Which I did, I was in no rush as it was slow morning for me. As I waited the man then asked me then get up and started to work on my toes. He went in and just started to clip my nails, I asked for a trim and he gave me nubs. Not even midway (he literally was on the 2nd toe) he stops and another lady named Kim came to take over. She looked at my foot and made a face and grabbed it as if she disgusted, sighing and mumbling under her breath. She didn't even try to make them even. She was so aggressive, she cut me more than once and left my toe bleeding. After the second attempt I had to move my foot because she was literally hurting me. After asking if I was okay she kept grabbing my leg and pulling on it to get closer to her.. Not relaxing at all. For a VERY basic pedicure it was 45$ and top of that 20$ for gel. Too expensive for very basic and unsatisfying service. The paraffin wax wasn't even heated properly, Kim dipped my feet in and after she wiped it off and I KID YOU NOT.. the picture below is how she left me, she said "all done" and looked at me waiting for me to get up.. I do not recommend this place. It gets the job done, but I genuinely am upset about supporting this location. I never leave bad reviews but I genuinely don't think they have good customer service, ofc they are nice when they receive payment but not prior to seeing the money... Best massage as a part of a pedicure in forever. Lisa did incredible work. A friend and myself came down here for the first time today and were greeted right away for two pedi's with no waiting. I walked in to this nail shop and got agitated. Ever feel like they change the price when you get there. I wanted each nail a different color $10 increase. My nail lady (Jenner) did a good job but we were in there format over the time. Then when it came time to pay I had a cash tip and Jimmy (the owner) is gonna tell me how much I need to tip. That is absolutely not acceptable to me. Tip is not a set amount like it's a party of 6+ at the restaurant. They way he changed prices. Money is more important then the nails. Today was my first and last time at this salon. Very bizarre experience. Nail tech picked up my foot and seemed to examine it like it was the first foot she had seen. She went agonizingly slow and seemed very uncertain on how to use the tools. She kind of ice picked by foot with the scraper and then didn't heat the paraffin up enough so I'm still picking bits off from my toes like play dough. A very weird, gross feeling experience and took forever. I will never go back. read more

I'm so very disappointed with this nail salon as I've been to this place many times. I would pay $50 for a full set powder dip nails that would come out very nice. I went in last week to have the same service done and when I asked how much it would cost they told me $60! I said that last time it was only $50 and the woman (who I'd never seen there before) said it's always been $60. Then she started speaking in Vietnamese or Thai to the girl next to her, obviously talking negatively about me. I feel that is super disrespectful. I get my sns/powder gels all the time for the past 4 years. I come back because they are friendly, professional, and do a great job every time I'm there. My sns nails last over 5 weeks without chipping and I end up coming back to change them because my nails have gotten long - not because they've chipped. I did notice that there's quite a lot of people around this neighborhood that are snobby and down right obnoxious and disrespectful... couple times I've been there at least. The staff handle them with grace and respect regardless. They also try to do their best to accommodate walk-ins but I'd suggest making an appointment (they can even often times find same day or next day if you call in). read more

Me and my best friend came in to get a pedicure. As soon as we walked in Kim was rude. She wanted us to sit down and had not set up the liners on the tub. As we took off our shoes and trying to sit down, she threw the other liner at my friends feet. She started shaving off the gel polish I had previously and cut me a few times which should not have happened as my pedicure had already grown out enough. She cut my toenails really short and did not shape them how told her to shape them. She had an attitude the entire time. She also had asked me what service I wanted. I told her #2 which was $47.00 but did not tell us it was an additional $20.00 for gel until we were paying. Overall it was a horrible experience and will not be coming here ever again. read more

I go for only one manicurist and i always make appointments and am respectful of the others. The first time i stopped going because the owner was rude and condescending then i decided to go back because i missed my manicurist and that was a bad idea! They were busy, i told them i would wait for my girl and they told me they couldn't help me after i made an appointment! Then one of the girls who couldn't understand me got loud and rude. The service is definitely a hit and miss, half the employees are just as rude as Jimmy. Oh and they raised prices twice this year and never posted or announced it to customer. Today they charged a lady $20 more for shellac pedicure because that's what the manicurist used even though the customer did not ask for it! read more

Came here a couple weeks ago to get a fill. The other salon in Burien I wanted to go to is closed Sunday so I went here since they are open. I had a full set from a previous salon with shellac. They didn't inform me they didn't have shellac until I was seated. They told me they only have dip which I haven't had before but was not opposed so I decided to get it. This was after waiting 40 min in the waiting area and I wanted to get started. I get my pedicure first which took forever as they were understaffed. By the time I seated with Jimmy to get my fill I had been there over an hour. Jimmy was rushing through my fill, running all over the salon, helping people at the register, taking appts over the phone and in person. Don't get me wrong - I understand the need to multi task but I also understand taking your time to make sure you're doing a good job and taking care of the customer. Jimmy didn't take the time to make sure he was doing a good job on my nails and clearly is a one man show. I am at a salon now hoping to get a fill and as they are taking off the dip, I discover mold on my nails. The acrylics were not glued down tight enough which caused moisture to enter under the acrylics. Needless to say I am pissed as this has never happened to me. Not only was the service terrible but the fact that I now have to treat mold on my nails is upsetting. I will never return here and am incredibly frustrated. read more

Echoing the bad customer experiences with check out. I went in as a walk-in, prepared to pay by card. I noticed while checking out there was a sign that said tips in cash only. I gave what cash I had left, then said I need to pay for my service via card. The guy at the desk refused to let me see how much he was charging me before I signed. I reiterated I wanted to know how much I was being charged before signing the pad and he told me $65 + $45 +.03% for paying by card. I went ahead and signed and asked for my receipt. This is my favorite place to come for my nails. I drive from Auburn to Normandy Park (about 20 miles) due to the fabulous service. Jimmy and the team have done a great time making the salon safe since COVID-19. They space people apart and limit the number of people in the salon. Everyone is masked, hand sanitizer is provided and temperatures are taken. I love their SNS. They have at least 200+ various colors of options. (It's almost overwhelming to try and pick just one.) The quality of the dip process is great -- it always lasts at least 3 weeks. Their spa pedicure involves fabulous lotions as well as both paraffin wax and hot stones. They are absolutely the best place that I've ever gotten my nails done. I highly recommend them. read more

Jimmy made my cousin Nini and I feel so comfortable and explained everything out for us and even introduced us to a different technique called SNS and how it was so much better for our nails and the benefits of it. Due to Covid-19 I haven't gone to any nail or hair salon; partially since everything was closed but also when it did open I didn't feel safe. However i couldn't take my nails looking the way they did anymore so I called my favorite place, Healthy Nails and Spa and they took me in right away. They were only seating customers at every other seat, masks required for all and the best part was that after every customer, they sanitized the entire seat and the space used by the customer. I didn't make a reservation and Amber asked me to come back in 45 minutes because only 2 ladies can do SNS, so I left and came back around the time she said and she was ready and waiting for me, yay! I told her what I wanted and she just started to do them. She said it takes around 40 minutes but it didn't feel like that at all, I was so entertained watching the big screen TV that I wasn't bored. Worst Experience at a Nail Salon EVER. I am baffled at the 5 star reviews for this place. My mom made an appointment for us for mani/pedis. We showed up 5 minutes early, and they had no idea who we were. So don't bother making an appointment. I'll tell both my story and my mom's story, since she doesn't have a Yelp account. My Story: The girl was nice, but super rough with the cuticle clippers - pulling and tugging rather than clipping. The cuticles don't look smooth at all, more haphazard. Then she went to clipping the nails, I had to stop her on two nails from going any lower (see photos) she cut my left big toenail so short, I can't even put on a sock - it's so tender now! Then after clipping, she didn't file or shape what was left of them. The right big toenail could literally cut you, it's so jagged! No filing of the foot to get dead skin off, HOT lotion that turned my skin red in the spots that she poured it on, then rinsed my legs with really hot water. She had gloves on, so I guess she couldn't tell how hot it was? The painting is really no better than I could do at home. It's on the skin in some spots, not all the way to the nail bed in other spots. Just sloppy. I declined to continue with a manicure. My Mom's Story: Now this is where it gets BAD. She had one lady doing her feet and one lady doing her hands at the same time. They would both ask her to do something at the same time (in broken English, so she had a hard time understanding them) then they would get grabby and pull her arm or leg when she didn't understand what one said. The lady doing her hands had her twisted in her chair so she could do her right hand on her left side. My mom said, "oh! I forgot to take my ring off" and started to take her hand away and the lady said, "No!" So my mom said, "I just want to take my ring off" and the lady pulled my moms hand and shouted "NO!" She asked if my mom wanted her fingernails clipped and was holding TOENAIL clippers - my mom said, "uh, no I want them filed" the lady huffed and started to file them. Then she took out the base coat and began painting. My mom said, "wait! You're not gonna do my cuticles?" And the lady said, "After" so my mom insisted "no, you need to do the cuticles first" so the lady started pulling and tugging (maybe that's just how they were trained to do it?) and was getting a little rough with her. My mom was thinking about how she was about to paint her nails, and so she asked, "do you not do a lotion massage?" And the lady did not understand her, so she brought Jimmy (the owner) over. My mom asked him. He said, "oh yeah, we do it after" my mom asked, "After the nail polish?" He said yes. So she said, "but won't that mess up the nails to do a lotion massage right after they've been painted?" And he just said, "every salon do it different". He went back to his client. Oooookaaayyyy... So then the lady goes back to my moms cuticles and CUTS her! My mom is bleeding and the lady calls Jimmy back over. He apologizes twice and wants to go back to his client. My mom said, "no, no, I'm done. I don't want to finish". So Jimmy is all of the sudden very concerned. My mom makes it clear that we are done. He takes us to the front and CHARGES MY MOM $60!!! He says, "I only charge you for the 2 pedicures" WHAAAAT?? She didn't even get her pedicure finished, and the rude, grabby lady CUT her to the point she was bleeding! My mom paid (did not tip) and Jimmy asks for a High 5. Weird. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more
