I have had good experiences here with my manicures and pedicures. but the last appt I had with Helen was the worst manicure I have ever had. When she cut the cuticles she also cut the nail on three nails and glued one. I didn't notice the others until I got home and they caught on something and ripped the nail. After years of coming I thought I'd provide a proper review: I'm giving 2 stars because they're harder to remove. I started coming to Top coat nails about 6 years ago, they were a fairly good price to get a full set (I never got fills to pricey, but the full sets weren't badly priced compared to other shops back then). Over the years I stopped getting acrylics just in general the overall cost of up keep is beyond what I want to pay ANYWHERE. However, as time progressed I would come in to get a manicure, and pedicure. About two years ago I completely stopped tipping all around. I'd pay $45 for a pedicure with gel, and $25 roughly for a manicure with or without gel I can't fully remember the cost (with it was $30 without $25). I stopped tipping because one thing I noticed at this salon was that no matter if I tipped or DIDNT they always rush my service, I never complain or come in with like any like special instructions. However I got tired of coming in and they start the service half way then stop to go start someone else, leave me sitting then someone else comes to do my service and it's like they have zero clue where the other person left off so I don't get the full experience OR They take forever to start my service then once they get to me it's like COMPLETELY rushed they'll sit and do my feet while someone else stands to do my hands. So, I stopped tipping because to me service and care isn't worth a tip, but the price isn't terrible and the location is convenient and nearby. Now, as of recent I had been getting just a pedi w/ gel, and a basic manicure (the manicure in my opinion with no polish is definitely not worth $25) so I stopped getting a manicure and as of recent I noticed the price also went up to $30 which is crazy. I also wanted to point out a pet peeve of mine , they have this tendency to like upcharge me ... When I come in for a pedicure there's been times when I want to get just basic polish. I tell them per usual I want the BASIC pedicure which is $35 with regular polish, they then tell me it'll be an extra $5 if I want regular nail polish because they have to remove the gel polish at the beginning of my pedicure (that's there from my previous pedicure) it always makes me laugh because they ALREADY have to remove the old gel in order to do the pedicure so why is it a $5 up charge lol so I just cave and stick to getting the pedicure with gel for $45 (I come once a month if that anyways), but I refuse to tip because I think it's bogus, and I stopped getting manicures because $30 for them to dip my fingers in some water and trim my cuticles RUSHED isn't worth $30). read more

I had a horrible experience there. The first time i got my nails done there Hannah had done them for me and i am a return customer for mani and pedi ever since she does an amazing job and charges a decent price. I always get long coffin with French tips with designs she had charged me around $75 or $85 max. This time around i had brought my friend because she would compliment me on where i get my nails done and she wanted to get them done also Jennifer had hurt her multiple times and while i was getting my application done it had started to burn really bad. I had asked for an almond shape with French tips, they had turned out like nothing i expected. For a very short almond with French tips Jennifer charged me $75 mind you the nails looked shorter than my natural nails and also i am a minor. My friend had also told me that Jennifer had thrown her supplies on her hands multiple times. The girl that did my nails wasn't experienced but she was very kind but Jennifer was very rude to us she butted in on us telling the girl to go so she could deal with us. Her customer service was really bad. My friend got a long coffin with French tips and gold glitter on one of the French tips for her nails Jennifer charged her $75 which makes absolutely no sense because her nails were way longer than mines with long French tips and glitter also while mine was just a simple very short almond with French tips. I am also a returning customer and have been there multiple times and i have never seen Jennifer yet she claims she is the manager. Rating two stars at this time due to being seated pretty fast and that the staff were sweet. Overall, I'm not sure if I would go here again for acrylics or if it could've just been my experience with the nail tech who did my fill. I added two images of the French tip and I genuinely appreciate the effort the nail tech attempted to make the French tip design as "skinny" as possible. I did not like the shape and how thick/inconsistent the acrylic was. Personally, I wouldn't come here again for French tips. As for pedicures, I do not have images to share, however the service was a bit odd. I had shellac and I'm used to soaking my feet in other salons...so it was a bit odd I didn't get to soak them before the shellac was being filed off. It felt uncomfortable and I could definitely feel the "heat" from the filing machine filing the shellac polish off. Again, I'm not sure if it was because maybe the nail tech was a new hire? I bought my sister a $100.00 gift certificate for her birthday. She went in for a pedicure and tried to use the certificate. She was told first that it had expired, but there was no expiration date. Then she was told that they are under new ownership and are not honoring old gift cards. Went in for a manicure for the first time and was quite shocked that the lady doing my nails was using tools that were already used on someone else. I asked her if the tools were cleaned and she said yes although I can clearly see the dirty on them. Had a 3:30 appt. for two of us to get manicures. Upon getting there, on time, we were't acknowledged at all, had to flag someone down and were rudely told to check in. I go here twice a month, so you can say I'm a regular. Their Royal Pedicure seems pricey ($50) but it's worth it if you're looking to treat yourself. I would give it four stars for the work they do & the COVID precautions they have in place BUT sometimes they do take in more people than they can handle and you have to wait quite a while. Sometimes I'd come here with a friend or my mom and they'd be done giving them a pedi before they even start with me. I've seen people walk out because they waited so long.
