I've been going to Lily nails for about a year and a half and I have consistently had a great experience. It's a relaxed salon, everyone is friendly, and the owner is great. I've seen several nail technicians and have always had a good experience. Everyone has been accommodating and kind and I've always left happy. They've offered me tea or wine several times, and did a wonderful job accommodating my wild 5 year old for a pedicure when I brought her along. I find the negative reviews a bit surprising and wouldn't let them sway you. This will be my home salon, and bonus points as it's a short walk down the shopping center to best buns which serves Starbucks and great food to have before or after your visit.

This was the absolute worst nail salon I've been to. I submitted a note on their website regarding this issue and there was no reply so I would rather warn someone else than them also be out $80+ on nails. For starters the lady went so hard on the nail drill that my actual nails are still sensitive and brittle, and was cut by the drill at least once on every single finger. She also filed into my skin on the top of my pinky which scabbed over. I know the nail tech noticed because she used cotton swabs in two different spots to stop my finger from bleeding. The nail's themselves look rushed through like they were just trying to get me out the door as quickly as possible. Once my actual nails grow out because I can't even do anything to them with how bad they are now, I will not be back and highly suggest you look elsewhere to get your nails done.

3 years later and Lily Nails is still my preferred Nail salon. I've evolved from gel manicures to the dip powder which is pretty durable so I come in once a month to get them done. Kayla and Hannah are my fav Nail technicians. The Owner and customer service is still top tier. They have gotten busier over the years so I suggest making an appointment over the phone or online.

Just what I needed after traveling for over 24 hours from Hawaii. Tony is amazing and made sure we were well taken care of. It's been a hot minute since I got a mani pedi and it was just amazing! I didn't realize how much my feet needed a pedi. All the staff is super nice. I was here with my daughter and her best friend to get mani pedis before their college graduation ceremony tomorrow and I am so glad we came! Our nails look amazing for tomorrow's photos. The atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxing. They have complimentary beverages: water, soda, wine If I am ever in town again I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this place.

This place is terrible. I got an SNS manicure on my natural nails and paid about $65 with tip. Within 3 days, 6/10 of my nails were chipped. I have been getting SNS/dip for YEARS and have never had my nails anywhere else last for less than 2 weeks. So, I thought, maybe the tech was new and inexperienced. I called the salon, and they offered to repair my nails. I was treated rudely when I came in for the repair, almost like I was inconveniencing them. Fast forward three days after I got my nails done there for the second time, 4/10 of my nails are chipped once again. I don't know if it's their product that is terrible, or the technicians just don't know what they're doing. Either way, what a waste. I won't be returning, and it's a shame because I was looking for a new regular place since moving back to the area. Don't go here if you value your time and money.

Sandy did my manicure and pedicure. She was very nice & professional. I showed her a inspo picture for my nails and she killed it! She pays really close attention to detail. I also really liked how she used builder gel for some of the designs.. I wasn't sure if they did that. That's very good to know. I am very pleased with how my nails came out. She exceeded my expectations. I wish they didn't have to go anywhere! some of the polish on my toenails has chipped but that is just because I was at the beach. Definitely recommend this nail salon!

Got my nails done Oct 18, my flight to Cali was Oct 20th. Natural nails with only dip. Nails looked clumsy and cuticles not even taken care of (refer to pictures). A week later the nails started lifting. I'm on vacation and have not done a single dish, have not lifted a single weight, or done anything that could cause pressure to be applied to my nails. Every single day that goes by my natural nails are getting ruined, breaking and lifting. I land on the 29th and the very next day I go back to have them removed. I am greeted by a very apologetic manager named Tony who stated that maybe the California air was what cause my nails to break and lift. That is ridiculous. He tells me not to worry and that he'll cover the cost for a new set. I go into the salon and he removes my dip. He wrapped my nails in tinfoil and used the alcohol soaked cotton rolls, but after sitting there for what seems like forever he kept having to rewrap them since the dip was not coming off! That was odd so he took the nail drill to my nail beds. I left the salon with stuff still stuck on my nails.. my nails were ruined and in the next few weeks all of them broke... they were so paper thin. Ruined.... so I waited until February to call them back and schedule an appointment. I spoke to Tony and he questioned why I waited for so long. It's kind of a no brainer that I was scared to get them ruined again. After it took me months to regrow... he told me that I had come in with stuff already on my nails and that it was not their fault for not sticking. He said he'd have to call me back after he checked the salon cameras. He pretty much called me a liar. He called me back and went back on his word and told me that the best he could do was take 20% off. No, thank you. I don't want to go to a salon that gaslight their customers and makes them feel bad for such poor quality service. The photos show the time stamps to prove I'M NOT A LIAR. They did not last a week. This is not alright.

Today was my first time at Lily Nails and Spa. I've recently moved to alexandria and I've been having a terrible time finding a "home" salon. I've probably tried 10 since October 2020. I was looking through Google reviews and Yelp when I found Lily Nails and Spa. When you walk into Lily, the interior is gorgeous and clean. The nail techs were sweet. Andy took care of me and I'm obsessed with my French acrylic set. I was in an out in an hour (and that's counting the time to soak my old ugly nails off)! And to top it all off, the cost was 65$! You seriously cannot beat it. Very happy. I will 200% be back and I am looking forward to it! read more

It was my first time visiting Lily Nails and Spa and it won't be my last! I had a wonderful experience! The owners and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. The place is super clean and adheres to the strict COVID-19 protocols. In addition, it is nicely decorated and organized. The towels were neatly stacked by the sink and the nail polish bottles were beautifully displayed by color groups on the wall which is great for easier selection. I got the Lily's Signature Spa manicure and pedicure gel with Diane. She did a great job! I feel pampered and relaxed throughout and my nails turned out great! I love getting pedicures here! All of the staff members are incredibly nice, you never feel rushed, and the massage is so relaxing. There is a $1.50 credit card fee, so bring cash if you want the $32 rate for a great classic pedicure! read more

Since I rely on reviews it's only fair I follow up. I tried Lilly's based on reviews. It's very clean snd pleasantly decorated. My tech, D, was nice but very hard to understand. She moved VERY fast, but seemed deliberate. That said, the nail dip manicure does not include a manicure. I also had my face waxed. It looked good in dim light, but once home I could see patches of fuzz and lesions on my chin. The cost was $100.70 ( first understood as $170). I paid and left, but won't go back. I've been going to Serenity in Saratoga, and that is where I'll return. PSA - if you go to a salon of any sort, show some class and leave your phone off. No one wants to listed to you talk for an hour. Besides, you deserve a break too! read more

I moved to Kingstowne in March and have tried about 6 mail salons since then that have all left me disappointed. Lily's, however, is fantastic. I'm so relieved that I'll have a reliable place to come. Hannah was my mail tech, she took her time on my dip manicure and on the gel pedicure. Everything was perfect. Tony, the owner, is also great and attentive. He offered all kinds of free beverages, including wine, and checked in multiple times to make sure I was having a good experience. 10/10. read more

This is a great nail salon - I've been here multiple times for spa pedicures and dipping powder manicures. All the technicians are super friendly. I've booked with Sandy multiple times for my dipping powder and she does an absolutely phenomenal and efficient job. I had stopped going to a few salons because the whole process of changing dip was so lengthy. Sandy always gets me out in under an hour and I'm always super happy with my nails. The space is very calming - great ambiance and they always offer a beverage of your choice! Another plus is that you can book online through their website - they always confirm super quickly and I've never had an issue with waiting. Highly recommend. read more

Called in and ask if they take a walk in and the lady said yes. Ten minutes I arrived and I was questioned by the front desk if I had an appointment. I said I just called ten minutes ago and I got the green light to come. Then my technician quiet hurt my nail by digging too deep. Then a couple came in sat across from me. Both were offered a glass of wine I was never asked if I wanted something to drink . I usually like this place but not tonight. read more

I've been going here since before the pandemic and every time it has been great. I do believe ownership changed hands while closed down during quarantine though. The last two times I had my acrylic fills with gel polish it was done by Andy and he has been great. He has never cut me or hurt me with the filing drill. I'm always in and out within 45 minutes, which is also amazing. I always leave with gorgeous nails that last me almost three weeks! read more

My new favorite nail place! I was a walk in and they were busy but the owner made time for me. It was very clean and modern. They offer complimentary beverages. Hannah was my nail technician and she was fantastic! Many other nail technicians make dip nails looking bubbly and very fake. Hannah's dip application was flawless. My nails were beautiful. I made an appointment and had to wait 45 minutes to go in. I should've gone somewhere else in that time. I looked at all of the examples of nails and was really impressed and also of course liked that they had great reviews on yelp. I'm not sure why my service wasn't as good, but I'm really disappointed in this place. I didn't get the man's name that did my nails, but he didn't seem to really care about what he was doing. He smudged my toe and instead of wiping it all off and starting over, he just tried to even out the smudge. It looked so bad that I asked him to redo it. Then he started on my nails. I showed him a very specific, very clear picture of what I wanted. There was no ambiguity. He could not get the shape of my nails right. By the time he finally did, and barely, they were different than what I wanted but I was too tired of repeating myself to ask him. I actually had the man who was at the front desk tell him what I wanted and I showed him the picture and he understood, but I guess it didn't convey to this guy. To confirm that this guy did not care about getting my nails right, everything is chipping. And these are gel nails! My feet started chipping the next day and my nails haven't stopped since the second day. I'm writing this review on the fifth day and my nails look awful. Please see the pictures! I don't know what happened, but I'm too far away because I live in New York City, to do anything about it and I'm really unhappy. I won't be visiting the salon again. read more

First visit and it was great! The staff was courteous and the facility was clean. Several times I witnessed the staff wiping down seats and work stations. I got dipped nails (for the first time) and a pedicure. Very happy with the results. Both technicians worked quickly but meticulously. I will definitely visit again. I do recommend making an appointment if you don't have time to wait. read more

I'm so happy to have found a home for my nails! Ninzy does my nails and I always leave with a happy face and happy nails because she does such an amazing job! She pays attention to details and never rushes which is a plus for me because I've been to other salons who just rush through the whole appointment. The salon itself is nice and I love the background music they play! The massage chairs are comfortable and staff are nice. I enjoy the brief foot massage as well, although sometimes I wish they would put a little bit more pressure but it's complimentary so I can't complain! My overall experience is always 10/10. I randomly came across Lily Nails while perusing through Springfield. The salon is in a shopping center near Aldi. My gel manicure was reasonably priced at $30. I felt that this was appropriate with the service I received. One hour manicure, gel polish, hand massage and wax dip. I appreciated the wax dipping because it made my hands buttery smooth. Salon needs a few decor renovations (drapes, chairs, etc.). However, I appreciated the friendly and professional staff. I was truly impressed with all the staff having on uniformed shirts. It made them look even more professional. They don't really engage in conversation but they get the job done. Only drawback was that I asked for a design and they don't really do much of that. So I decided to keep it simple but I am pleased with the results. read more

Everything was clean, bright and fresh inside. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and picked out a color for my nails. I decided to get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The shop was empty when I visited at 1:15pm. Wendy was wonderful! She started with my pedicure which was relaxing and I got the choice of either a hot stone massage or paraffin dip. I chose paraffin. The chair was an automated massage chair and I would have liked to recline slightly. My manicure looks beautiful! I'm pleased with the finished quality and colors. Wendy was thorough to clean up my cuticles and make sure there wasn't extra gel polish left on my fingers. My nails look so nice. I would recommend this spot and I plan to visit again in the future! read more

Halfway through the service I kindly asked what is included in the service they rudely retorted, "we're not trying to get more money." I never insinuated she was. However, a pedicure for $65 should include more than just clipping and painting toe nails. It was a horrible experience. Also, they charge you if you want them to use clean tools. I will never go back to Van Nails.

The technician next to her, a guy, laughed and said, "Oh, it will help you," but still, no one explained what the powder was, so my daughter refused it. Finally, without even apologizing, the technician applied a Band-Aid and continued as if nothing had happened. My daughter didn't want to cause a scene or ruin my experience, so she didn't complain, but a simple "I'm sorry" would have made a big difference. On the positive side, my technician was amazing. She took her time and did a beautiful job.

My nail tech, Rose took such good care of me from start to finish. I got the deluxe pedicure package and it was honestly one of the best pedicures I had in a long time. From the scrub and callous remover to the massage, she really took her time and was very detail oriented. I even had a cracked nail on my big toe and she was able to fix it up with a little acrylic in a way that looked so natural and matched my other big toes' nail in size and shape perfectly. Although this salon is a bit out of the way for me still, I'm going to prioritize getting back sooner than later (especially if I'm in need of a pedi.) Thanks so much, Sunflower!

After a terrible experience with my usual nail salon (located in Mosaic District), I was on the lookout for a new place. A friend recommended Lily Nail Spa in Springfield. I recalled going there a few years back but the experience was mediocre and the salon was dark and tightly packed. My friend didn't share these same opinions but she mentioned Hannah was excellent and worth checking out. I figured I'd give it another try as I usually am willing to put up with many headaches in a salon to secure a good nail tech (i.e. my 4 year loyalty to the old nail salon). Lucky for me, Lily Nail Spa delivered! The salon had recently switched owners and the new owner, Tony, did a complete overhaul of the place. I couldn't believe the beautiful transformation! It was unrecognizable from what it once was. Even though the square footage did not change, the rearrangement of pedicure chairs and manicure stations made the salon spacious and open. The decoration was modern and gave off a clean refreshing vibe. Besides beautifying the salon, Tony has also created such a welcoming and friendly environment. He's constantly checking up on his customers, offering them drinks (water, tea, wine) and joking around. He also assists his nail techs with finding nail polishes, sweeping the floor, replacing trash bags, etc. It's nice to see an owner helping out around the salon as much as Tony does. He's also flexible with scheduling and always tries to make sure you get who you want and when you want. In the event that the scheduled nail tech cancels or he needs to push your time up or back, he will call personally to let you know of the changes. Speaking of nail techs, I've had great experiences with every nail tech. For a basic gel manicure, you really can't go wrong with anyone there. For more complex shaping, nail art, or advanced services, my usual go-to is Hannah. When I go on Hannah's day off, I always ask for Mindy. She's also great! After almost a year of going here, Lily Nail Spa remains a clean salon with friendly customer service and skilled nail techs. I'm glad I gave it another chance! read more

This place is horrible. Not a very sanitary place. I got my nails done. I will say I am not picky about my nails. My nails are now all different shapes and are super crooked. It looks like my fingers are deformed. The lady doing my nails agreed that my nails were not shaped properly and still wanted to charge me full price. The managers solution was to cut off all of my nails and not charge me for the set. I asked him if he would give me back my nails that they cut off so I can go back to normal. He just laughed. When I said I didn't get what I asked for he said sometimes it happens and again wanted me to pay full price. I asked for stiletto shaped nails and ended up with mostly coffin some oval and almost all are crooked. I don't understand how they would charge a customer for such a bad set of nails. It's kind of like going into a hair salon asking for just a trim but end up a shaven head. Then the manager saying it happens and charging full price for a shave. The manager made it seem like I was scamming them. I am the one that got scammed. I caved and still paid half price. I am a loyal customer and tip well since I know what it's like to rely on tips. I will never go there again. Terrible place. Don't waste your time. read more

Nope, not returning! My tech didn't wash her hands between my services and I noticed that other workers didn't either, not even between customers. My pedicure was just ok, nothing special but for the price, I would expect new foot scrubbers and new/clean boards as they were all white and pealing. My manicure quite honestly, sucked! The dirty bowl had cold water and had "floaties". I requested a French on my hands with the white tip to sit just below my current natural line so I could stretch the manicure out a bit. My lines were all over the place and when I asked her to fix it she seemed appalled at the notion and would start again, right where she left off. My poor, unfortunate sister joined me and her stilettos turned into coffin/stiletto combo. Her nails looked a mess and kept snagging everything for the week they lasted. When we left it looked like I had a manicure done a week ago with a shitty polish job and my sister hands looked bipolar. We tried explain why we shouldn't have to pay full price, and the owner played stupid and didn't want to come down more than $5. Keep it, dude! You're gonna need it! Never again! I was going to write this review as soon as im done but there were things for me to take care of and I totally forgot so here it is now. I got my pedicure on Friday and I have to say I did not like it. I usually come to these spa places to relax but that day when I went I was disappointed. It was my first time here but I guess I would never come back. The tech (I think her name was Sephany or Tiffany) did my pedicure and it was FAST. IT WAS FAST. Even though I only got a regular (because again it was my first time so I wanted to try the basic one first) but I was done in probably 20 minutes. I did not expect my cuticles were done that fast because honestly it has been a while since i got pedicures so obviously it requires more time to clean them than those who regularly come in. She barely scrub my feet and the massage was like rubbing lotion on. Not sure if this place is like this fast or is it just me but if it was done like that I could have done the same thing at home. I came to this salon on Friday and it was my first time. I live in MD and work in VA but after this first visit I think I would be coming here more often. NINZY did my mani&pedi and I have to say she's awesome! She really takes her time and make sure my nails look right before I leave. I never get the exact shape that I want before but NINZY did great. The results of living along the coast and exposure to constant salt water. I was introduced to SOPHIA. Sophia is a very sweet person. I learned that she has a one year old daughter.
