Baklava

Popped in for a little dessert and they did not disappoint! The chocolate cake was really rich and a chocolate lovers dream. The strawberry tres leches was very moist. It did take a little bit to get served because the line wasn't very structured but otherwise service was great.

The food is always delicious and fresh, and the service is good. What I like most about this restaurant is that everything is very clean--it's a great place to visit with the family.

Customer service needs improvement. I'm not sure if I'll try again or just be a sore thumb and hold a grudge

I almost left because I was confused where to order and couldn't get an employee to acknowledge me. That is why there are 4 stars instead of 5. I asked some other people that were waiting since they looked like locals and I'm glad I did because I was waiting in the wrong area to order. I ordered a Caprese sandwich and it was DELICIOUS. It came with a side salad that was also very good. As a bakery they have a TON of options but I was too full to even think of more food but I think I will go back when I find myself in the area.

I would never give 2 star even if food is not good enough but the way we got treated made me to have this review hopefully the owners can pay attention .I was taken here by my friend. She said they have amazing food. Decided to give a try'. We ordered ajarakan which was the best that I've tried out of the all other restaurants I've tried . After eating we wanted to order some coffee and cake . I waited 15 more minutes in front of the counter and worker was in front of me going back and forth and answering multiple phone calls , getting several orders. I was patiently waiting untill she would say a word but no. She was still answering a new phone orders ? I had to call a manager. Now there is a great customer service . She blamed on me and said "YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT " really ? Do I have to ? I said I was patiently waiting but she could at least say that she will be back on me soon. But the manager again." You see she is not standing and doing nothing , she is getting orders, you have to be patient." Really? I would say train your manager first so she can train the workers . I would understand if she was in the line . But put the phone away , going back to the kitchen , coming back and answer another 3 calls in front of customer and say we have to? No really?

Cutest cake ever

I have to update my review because I keep coming back for the chicken panini, however I recently tried the bread pudding and omg it is so delicious. They have so many pastries to try here but if you like bread pudding you have got to try the Lilit cafe bread pudding. I get a sweet cheesecake hint at the end of my bite, it's so amazing. Yummmmmmmmmm.

A look at all the different types of baklava they have and some linzer tarts

I have been wanting to try this place for quite a while now and finally came today with my son for a late lunch. I guess my experience initially started over the phone when I spoke with Suzie to confirm their hours. She also mentioned to me that the bakery was open until 8pm today but the kitchen closes at 5. That was helpful information that wasn't listed online. We got there around 4pm and easily found parking in their lot behind the building. There are plenty of spaces and also street/residential parking. Upon entering, there was an immediate vibe shift from the outside world. It was almost dead silent inside, with no music playing and no regular restaurant chatter/noises, either. The place is fairly big/spacious but had an extremely cold atmosphere. Their Christmas tree was still up along with some other decorations, but the lights of the tree weren't even turned on! I feel like the ambience here could've been a lot more festive and welcoming with the lights and some music. The place itself was pretty clean and the bathroom (one gender-neutral unit) was spotless!! Oh, there is also a patio if you choose to sit outside. We were greeted by Alma behind the counter and she was genuinely such a sweet, kind, and helpful person. She knew her job very well and was able to answer any of our questions about their menu. To share, we ordered their famous Ajarski (plain), along with a large vegetarian pizza. My son got himself the Grilled Chicken and Garlic Wrap, however he subbed the tortilla for sliced sourdough and got salad instead of fries. I got the Grilled Chicken Panini that came with Mozzarella Cheese and Pesto, also with salad. The Ajarski and Pizza are baked fresh per order in the pizza oven, so they require a few extra minutes. I believe it took about 15 minutes total. The sandwiches came out sooner than that. Honestly, the food here was just...mediocre. It certainly wasn't awful but it just wasn't amazing by any means. It was kind of BLAND and everything just felt like it was missing something. Both of the grilled chicken sandwiches were pretty dry and the chicken was overcooked. The side salads were decent. The pizza felt noticeably underdone, like it was heated just enough to melt the cheese, but not fully baked. The dough was flimsy and not sturdy nor crispy. For me, the Ajarski was the highlight! Delicious cheese filling baked into a soft, tender dough with two runny eggs baked into it in the center. When you cut into it, the yolks start oozing out and you can use the bread to soak it all up. It was DELICIOUS! I would say the portion sizes were appropriate for everything, however the prices are a bit steep! Our total for these 4 items came out to $71! For dessert, my son and I decided on 7 different pastries to sample. I also wanted to have a latte, but Alma told me they don't serve any decaf coffee whatsoever, so I just stuck with my water. I don't know what this is about - I've been noticing more and more places that are eliminating decaf coffee from their menus. Why? Not all of us do well with caffeine, so it is important to keep it on the menu in order to please everyone. As far as the actual pastries, we got the Cream Puff (incorrectly labeled as Chocolate Eclair), 2 round Peach pastries (filled with buttercream), and one slice each of the following: Tiramisu, Mikado, Honey Cake, and Bird's Milk. They have an EXTENSIVE pastry case full of traditional pastries that we all know and love, and some lesser-known desserts from Armenia, Russia, etc...I grew up on a lot of these sweet treats so it was nice to revisit them after many years. We tried a bite or two of each one and they were all yummy but also a bit overpriced in OUR opinion!! 7 pastries came out to $31. Altogether, already a $102 bill for two people and some leftovers for tomorrow. Hey, we did also get a free Armenian calendar out of it! I'd also like to thank Katherine who was helpful and pleasant, just like Alma. We accidentally misplaced the receipt for the food and she was able to reprint it for me. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but it was missing that WOW factor for me!! It was slightly underwhelming but I might give it another try sometime in the future.

I honestly don't even know how this place can exist and be SO delicious and also SO affordable?! We are from the Sacramento area and each of the pastries we had this morning would have been TRIPLE the price of what we paid at Lilit! Our whole family had multiple pastries and coffee for my husband and I for $25?! Everything is beautiful and we will most likely come back tomorrow because there's such a variety of items that we want to try!

"Tres Leches" cake
Katherine M.

I've heard so many good things about lilit so I decided it was about time to try it. My review is solely based on their cake. It was recently my dad's birthday and we wanted to try a new bakery. I stopped by to pick up and chose the tres leches cake. It looked so yummy topped with fresh berries on top. The cake came out to roughly $46. Now if you know anything about tres leches you know it's moist and sweet. Unfortunately this wasn't either! The cake was patchy, some layers were moist others were so DRY! We were very disappointed when we realized it wasn't actually a tres leches cake. It was a let down considering the price, next time I'll stick to my regular bakery for cake. They do have other pastries and a full menu, I may have not liked the cake but there might be yummy items on their menu.

Worm in my Caesar Salad.
Joan G.

I'm completely disgusted. Lilit Bakery obviously does not wash the lettuce before making salads. There were worms crawling in my food. I want my money back. I won't eat here again!

Ask the Community - Lilit Bakery

Are you open on thanksgiving?

Yes, we are open until 5.

I was wondering how much it costs for a custom cake for about 15-20 people?

How much is the Napoleon cake?

2.95 for the slice

Hi! I love coming to you all, as often as I can. Question though, do you have electrical outlets, for someone wanting to come in, eat, and then get some work done on a laptop?

Hello Katie! Yes we do have outlets all along the wall at our Victory location. You would be able to enjoy your food and pastries along with doing work and have infinite charge!

Are there vegan options?

I have never seen any and I've been here at least 10-12 times.

How big are the pizzas? How many inches?

I always get the personal pizza which is 12". I can eat an entire pizza when I'm starving, but I can be quite happy with eating half a pizza. It depends on how many toppings I smother it with. I'm 6' & is 200lbs

Twinty was open and located next to the Rachel and Rose bridal shop, where I purchased my summertime wedding dress, last year. They had exactly what I was searching for and a cozy, and very thoughtful neighborhood brunch spot. The service was super amicable and it's easily accessible, a short walk away. Also, since I started my micro-dose GlP1 journey to shed 15lbs. The tummy is super sensitive to high sugar, saturated fats, and unhealthy foodies. And Twinty has a menu that is both gentle and healthy. Great place to people watch.

I stopped by for a coffee/business meeting, and the coffee was definitely a highlight! It was excellent quality, fresh, and perfectly prepared; exactly what you want when you're sitting down for a good conversation. The dessert display has classic frnch tarts and croissants to good old USA chocolate chip cookies, browinies, carrot cakes, ets. I was expecting more of a traditional French pastry experience with petite, delicate, refined, and focused on high-quality ingredients. Instead, the offerings felt more Americanized in both size and ingredients. Vegan options availablee with some items. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and can see so much potential for this place. With its generous space, indoor and outdoor seating, marketplace, and good coffeee, it has all the ingredients to become a charming and popular local destination. I'm looking forward to seeing it upgraded, with fresh paint, decor, and setting.

It is family owned and has so much charm to it that you don't know which part to look at. Indoor and Patio seating available. Walked in yesterday morning at 9:40AM and was greeted by Vick, he was a bit serious & stiff. Taking his job way too seriously. Could have smiled and showed at least 3 of his teeth. For a new employee, he was good. Placed an order with him at the counter, and Wagner brought out our orders. I was with one of my former coworkers. We got a couple of items and shared. Avocado Toast with one nice sized over medium organic egg (open face) on Sourdough bread ($14.99), that came with Hash Browns and 2 crispy slices of Applewood Bacon. We also got their Organic Farmers Omelette (GF) prepared with 3 organic Eggs, Mushrooms, Spinach, Organic Tomatoes, 3 colored Bell Peppers, Scallions, and topped with Provolone Cheese with a side of Hash Browns. I wanted an order of English Muffin (toasted) and in less than 3 minutes, it was already on our table. Free of charge. Last but not least, I got a 16 oz. Iced Vanilla Latte with Coconut Milk (6.60), (+0.85) for the milk. Instead of getting decaf, I accidentally ordered the regular. Asked Wagner to change it and he gladly did. Our food tasted very fresh, hot and delicious. As I was writing some of the ingredients from their extensive menu options on a piece of paper, Charles (the owner) approached me and wanted to know what it was that I am writing down. I explained to him that I do Yelp reviews and showed him one of my Yelp swag, then he kind of faked a smile and walked away. Atmosphere/Ambiance has gorgeous, bright chandeliers hanging inside the restaurant that elevate the look in the most interesting way. Very chic, classy, & elegant. They also have great, beautiful artwork hanging everywhere inside and outside of the restaurant. Restaurant is a very nice size. They have a private dining room for special events. They also have a cute small gift shop, ready made salads, baked goods, sandwiches (hot & cold), other types of beverages: bottled, canned, ready-made fruit in 16.oz plastic cups and that's all I can remember. Private parking lot that has about 10 spots to park. Also street parking. Gender neutral restroom and it was clean, except the urinal was out of order. Fully stocked with all the essentials. See you guys again very soon. So close to my house......thank you.
