I can forgive underwhelming cake. Even "ok" cake is still a treat. But to charge 15 dollars for a slice? I'm sorry, but that's something I can't forgive. The ingredients that go into cake, flour, sugar, chocolate, eggs, etc, are cheap, affordable basic ingredients. Unless they're using the finest imported Belgian chocolate, which they are not, it costs them less than a dollar for a slice of cake. Please I urge you to go anywhere else. Sweet Lady Jane, Deja Vu, anywhere but here.

That noted, it's absolutely worth the nocturnal trek to what feels like the middle of nowhere. The worker was very sweet and directed me to pay via Venmo, then proceeded to prepare my order. It takes a bit to get your order because this place is swamped with mobile orders along with the line it's constantly tending to. Anywho, we got the Nutella and Mango Cheesecakes. I am a Nutella aficionado; I will stay this way until my very last breath unless I develop some random allergy to hazelnuts later into adult life, and even then, that'll be my untimely undoing. This cheesecake was perfection; you can taste the Nutella both in the creamy cheesecake and on top, with a generous drizzle covering the cheesecake; the Oreo crust was thick but not stale or annoyingly hard. 10/10. The Mango Cheesecake: the birthday boy' slice. I prefer raspberry or strawberry toppings when going for fruity cheesecakes, but the mango cheesecake hits the spot; mango chunks on top of a New York cheesecake slice and a buttery, graham cracker crust. I would actually order this myself. 10/10. When it comes to hole-in-the-wall dessert spots, Sweetholic is a win, win. Nice service, reasonably- priced (about $11 a slice, about a whole dollar cheaper than other LA cafes and the staple Cheesecake Factory), and cheesecake that will make you moan into the sweetest of slumbers. Check it out yourself!

Republic of Pie has been on my list for a WHILE now and I was not disappointed at all…read more I tried their Chicken Pot Pie , Pecan Pie , and their Horchata Latte. The Chicken Pot Pie was absolutely amazing. Flaky crust and exterior with a warm , hearty filling that can satisfy your hunger instantly. The ingredients in the pot pie tasted so fresh and perfectly seasoned. The Pecan Pie was also amazing. Not too sweet while allowing the Pecan Flavor to be the main standing point. It was warm and comforting. The Horchata Latte was decent! I would have liked to have more Horchata Flavor come through but I do understand the coffee may overpower that; still a good drink regardless. Service was amazing. Orders were taken fast and the food came out even faster. I was genuinely surprised. Everyone working there seemed so welcoming and friendly! The ambiance is what really put this place over the top. I loved the look of it and how open the space was. From the outside it doesn't look that big but when you get inside you're greeted with a cozy coffee shop that is decorated as if you are in someone's home. I loved all the little trinkets everywhere. They also had board games and it looked like they do live music as well! Overall , loved this spot and will be coming back to try more items!

Would absolutely get it again. Apple Pie: Really good, not too sweet. You can enjoy it without feeling guilty. Banana Cream Pie: Solid choice. I'd definitely get it again. Parking is definitely a bit of a hassle, but at least you get a nice little walk in before diving into some pie.

In and out but still felt super taken care of I got the Yamini latte (mofawar). Piping hot. Cardamom, a little cream. Had it without sugar and it still wasn't bitter at all. Strong in a good way. I'm literally still feeling it My friend got the Spanish latte. Definitely sweeter. She loved it. The space is really pretty. High ceilings, warm tones, big lantern-style lights. Feels a little elevated for a casual coffee stop. Good place to sit for a bit. Also... the pastries looked very good. Will be back for those next time. Sana'a Cafe is just a really solid coffee spot in Hollywood

Perfect place to stop at before or after a show at Pantages. I like that for a cafe, they're open…read morevery late. I came at 6pm right before a show and they had lots of pastries still available. I got the rose milk cake on my first visit, and I really enjoyed its sponginess. It was very similar to a tres leches cake. On my second visit I got the Dubai cheesecake, and this was also a hit for me, which had the right among of chocolate, kataifi and pistachio. The drinks can be hit or miss depending on what you get. The strawberry lemonade is very rich in taste but the amount of ice they added nearly reached the brim of the cup. I noticed this was the case for other people around us sitting down. I got a matcha latte and rose latte on separate visits, and didn't find either to be worth raving about. The rose latte especially doesn't taste like rose at all. Overall, worth it for the pastries alone and the drinks are a good pick-me-up before a 2.5 hour show at Pantages.
