Don't have much experience with laundromats but this place left a good impression. They have multiple washers and dryers in different sizes to accommodate your size load. I liked how they had a little shop with a variety of items if you forget something or want a snack. I will say it felt a tad bit expensive. The 6 load washer was $8 and large dryer was .75¢ but had to use the dryer 3 times. Overall for all the clothes and comforter I washed the cost was about $40. Bring cash bc they charge for using your card. I went on a extremely hot day and they don't have AC so use this as your warning. AC would have been nice considering I spent 4+ hours here. However, what seemed to be the owner offered me free cold water and food. He was very friendly and tried to accommodate the best he could considering the heat. I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I'm in need of a large washer. read more

They advertised that they had an ATM. The man working asked me if I needed help. I told him I needed an ATM and he said just one second. All of a sudden be pulled out a mobile scanner and asked how much I wanted. He then asked if the money was all I wanted. When I said yes he yelled at me so I left. I don't know what kind of sketchy stuff is going on there but I would steer clear. read more

Admittedly, I don't go to laundromats often. It's kinda a once or twice per year thing for either big items that don't fit in my washer/dryer or it's summer and the ancient electrical in the house goes on strike. That being said, I like the place. There's plenty of machines available and it's been pretty quiet every time I've been there. This most recent trip was during their discount hours that happen every Tuesday. Even then, there was only a handful of people there. The manager (or maybe owner? I'm actually not sure) does have a very laser focused vibe to him. It could be seen as abrasive to some, but he's never shown an unwillingness to help. The place is clean and it's pretty quiet aside from the sounds of the machines. There's a patio area with lots of chairs to wait in while the machines do their thing. My Dryer Broke and I didn't wan't my wet clothes to get funky, so I yelped the nearest Laundromat and this place came up highly rated. First glance it looks very sketchy! I brought my two loads in and was immediately greeted by a woman. I began loading my clothes into the dryer (SIDE NOTE I really have only been to 1 laundromat in my life and it was pretty straightforward.... insert coins and wait) when the woman rudely scolds me and tells me using the dryers without having used their Washing machines is not allowed. I assured her that I had no idea and that I was sorry. I let her know that my Dryer broke at home and I just didn't know. Her response.... "Oh wow! It seems like everyone's Dryer has broken this week." Really lady!?? Leave the Sarcasm at home! I quickly grabbed my clothes and just wanted get out of there. She probably felt bad for snapping at me as her tone changed while walking out the door. I drove myself to 24 Hour Laundry where I was not only allowed to use their Dryers but the attendant there was super helpful in assisting me. I will never go back to this place in a bind, I think if you're looking for somewhere to wash and dry your clothes without any hassle or weird rules, just go to 24 Hour Laundry or Anywhere else!!!! read more

Our washer broke and we were hesitant to go to a laundromat. We researched on Yelp and this place had good reviews. It is a little expensive but it's a very comfortable environment. It may not look like much from the outside but inside is clean and there is a nice attendent to help you with anything you need. They have a small shop inside should you forget anything. Our washer delivery got delayed and we had no reservations about coming back to do our laundry again. Definitely reccomend. read more

This such a clean place! I've been here about 5 times and each time it's spotless. Gus, the owner, is great! He's nice and funny and he's very helpful. Got kicked out because i didn't wash my clothes here and couldn't just "use the dryers alone". There's nowhere that says you have to BOTH wash and dry here at the location. I have a washer at home but no dryer so it was convenient for me to come and just dry my clothes as i have been doing multiple times before, but will not be coming back due to this. read more

As a Brit, it is very unusual and confusing to use a laundromat. However coming here the owner was super helpful, provided a great service and explained everything nice and simple for me. I even got information about a fast food restaurant and ordered it in. A wonderful experience and highly recommend. My husband, my son, and I have been coming to this place for a few months now since the laundromat that we use to go was terrible. We love coming to this place and we have not had any negative experiences. There is a small patio for kiddos to play, along with tables and chairs where usually my sons does his homework and we help him out. The parking lot is large compare to many places we've been. The front part is small but go straight towards the back and you'll find more spaces. Inside there is a small snack shop which is great because we can snack on anything from chips to ice pops. There is a bathroom but don't be fooled about the "out of service" sign, they have it for a reason. Just ask. The lady (which I feel bad not knowing her name, sorry!) that is usually there is nice and we always find her cleaning out the machines so we know they are clean along with the whole facility. I keep reading ugly reviews about the owner or "the old man," I cannot say anything bad about him. Why would you? Yes there are rules. Why? Because it is common sense. Last time I went it was busy and there was two machines that were done and we were waiting... and waiting. The owner, and his employee, waited for the owner of the clothes to arrive and since there was a no show, he took his clothes and set them to the side so I can start my loads. I felt bad for the other person but I was thankful I was able to start. Was the other person upset? I don't know but why would you leave the places longer than the 30 minutes it takes to wash? I don't leave the place but even when I just go to my car and wait I set my phone timer on so I don't take longer than I should... its being respectful, at least I think so. Also, yes there are "out of service" machines but there are still plenty of machines to wash and dry. I'm pretty sure these heavy machineries aren't cheap so yes, it might take time to fix. Overall, this place is a gem compare to many places we've been. Our clothes come out smelling great and have not yet had any oil stains on our clothes like I've encounter in other laundromats. So until we move out, we'll be coming to this place every week like we usually do. read more

All the people who are going to use their wash and dry and fold service, I feel the need to warn you they use the cheaper detergent brand there is, known as ROMA . They advertise the use TIDE by using a Tide brand container filled with a cheaper, lower quality detergent on the market. There are washer and dyers that have been out of service for several months now and haven't been repaired. The parking lot is in bad condition; is in need of repair. The washing carts are not allowed outdoors due to the condition of the pavement of the parking lot. The best parking spaces is utilized by employees or cars being sold by the owner of the washer. This laundromat is quiet, has a mini store that sometimes sells expired food, has 8 load washers, television, doesn't use coins uses cards. Great way to keep track of the money. Tips: I recommend getting rid of the broken chairs and old toys. Change candy in the coin machines more often. Broom the patio more often. Have a staff member around to answer questions and concerns for new comers. There been instances where theres no one for a lapse of 30 minutes gone. UPDATE! Nothing was opinion, everything was objective and factual all the information was gathered from employees that work there. I do not want to identify them due to leading to the lost of their income. Below is reasons the owner replied to my review. 1. Sinks only offers cold water due to the safety of children. 2. Carts are allowed to be outside of laundromat, just as long as they are not stolen or kids riding on them. 3. Correction not all pod's instructions state it goes in the drum. 4. Owner didn't acknowledge the fact of several washer and dryers have been out of service or best car spaces used advertise the sales of cars and for the employees. *Please tell me what exactly in my review is subjective. I found this laundromat on yelp because it was the highest rated in my area, once you visit you'll understand why. The place is clean, tidy with plenty of snacks to purchase. This is a very clean and well maintained laundromat! They have the best prices that I've found in this area. Mr. Gus was so nice and helped me because it was my first time here. They have plenty of machines and have large ones that do up to 8 loads at one time. There's even a patio seating area with toys for kids. There's a snack shop for munchies while you wait. I'm thinking of using their full laundry service $1.50 per pound. I would definitely come back here next time. read more

I'm in that 3 week window between the time my washing machine went belly up and the time the new one will be delivered, so I ventured over to LightHouse Laundromat to wash 4 loads. The owner showed me how to operate the washers with the card, and 30 minutes later everything was done. I didn't use the dryers - I took home the wet clothes and put them in my drier at home. You mentioned that we got to your location at 9, which was the cut off time for being able to wash. I did not know that driving to the 7/11 (2 minute drive) ended up taking us 2 hours instead. I like coming to this place because it is ALWAYS LONELY and I hate waiting.." Check your snacks expiration date because last time my chips had expired in February and it was MAY! Another advise to go back to preschool too by the looks of it. May comes after February, therefore, it is EXPIRED! Yes, that is what that date on the bag means.. AND THAT is why we drove to 7/11 for snacks while we washed! No where in my review did I mention that I could find a cheaper laundromat by a NICKLE or a DIME. My LG front loading washer popped a big "0E" error code, indicating the drain pump motor had gone belly-up. Finding the Lighthouse Laundromat was easy and well worth the drive from Irvine! The owner was onsite and extremely helpful and polite. The free WiFi was a nice addition to the newness and cleanliness of this place. The machines are all in great condition, the customers were all cool, and the outdoor patio was the perfect place to hang out while our clothes got clean. I have been coming here for about almost a year now. At first, I used to sit there and so my own laundry. The machines are new and there was always an attendant on site to take care of any problems. The place is spotless. Recently, I discovered that they have a fluff-n-fold laundry service, so I leave my dirty clothes to them and the service is awesome. I just dropoff my clothes, and come pick it up the next day, nicely folded and clean! The price is also very reasonable! read more

I love this laundromat. Unfortunately for me, my home doesn't have a washer or dryer and so I have to go to a laundromat. Taking my kids with me to do laundry was always a pain. I would have to chase them around after they got bored and it would take me forever to get in and out, that is until I found Lighthouse Laundromat. The place is clean, the machines are fairly new and work great! The prices are reasonable and I like that they use cards for the machines instead of coins. I've lost too many coins before and this is so helpful, not to mention you don't end up with pockets of coins when you have leftovers. The attendants there have always been helpful, kind and they certainly keep that place clean. I was also impressed on how clean the bathroom is and always stocked. What I LOVE about this place the most is the outside area, it has a kids play area! Brilliant! Doing my laundry when taking my kids there has been a breeze. No one likes going to a laundromat. The small exception may be single people who go in the hopes of hooking up with someone. I guess it could happen. But the rest of us detest it at worst and unhappily tolerate it at best. Well, folks, if you are in a situation in which you MUST go to a laundromat...Lighthouse Laundromat is the one you should choose! LL is well ventilated, always clean, not scary, has easy parking, nice and friendly staff, a little snack stand, vending machines, convenient hours and, most importantly, it has plenty of washers and dryers!! I have been here several times and never once have I had to wait for a machine--not even on a Saturday or Sunday and not even when it is busy. This is hands down the best laundromat I have ever been to. I highly recommend it. Some tips: - The washers and dryers run on a charge card which you get from a machine when you arrive; there is a $1 fee for a new card, so don't toss it out if you plan to come back - The laundry card machine is cash-only but they do have an ATM on site - The washers and dryers are various sizes in order to accommodate whatever type of laundry you have and the fee varies, depending on which you use - There is a patio with tables and chairs where you can read, dick around on your phone or enjoy a snack while you wait for your laundry - The washers have four different compartments for soaps and cleaners; be sure to read the instructions and verify you are using the correct compartments for whatever type of soap you have (I am an idiot who did NOT carefully read this the first time I came here. Bring CASH!!!! I am not a fan off laundry mats for many reasons but after doing my laundry at this location I may start becoming a regular. I had 8 loads of laundry that needed to be completed and instead of doing it at my apartment complex that only has 2 washer and drys -i decided to take it this this location based on the many positive reviews it had. I absolutely loved this place! CLEAN machines, great customer services and such a larger location. They have a snack bar, TV, and free wifi for customers only. Also bring quarters as you will need it in order to use the restroom. Gus was the employe or owner that helped me when I first walked in. He explained how the machines worked and showed me how to place money on the card. It seems like your able to drop off your clothes and have them wash them for you. I don't know the price but seems like it would be nice when your in a rush or busy with life. I would highly recommend this place for anyone in the area. read more
