Competition is real, and honestly, that's great for customers. That said, this store feels like it may have passed its prime a bit. They still carry the basics (and that's important), but the fresh grocery selection feels inconsistent. On the flip side, there's a noticeably bigger focus on frozen meals and frozen options, which is convenient... but it's not quite the same as walking in and feeling confident about the fresh picks. A bigger concern for me: a few times I visited, I noticed items that were close to--or possibly past--their prime/expiration date. That's the kind of thing that makes shoppers hesitate, especially when there are so many alternatives nearby. I genuinely think a little refresh would go a long way: - tighter inventory rotation - clearer quality checks - small clean-up / organization upgrades This is still a local business, and I'd like to see them bounce back. However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.

Granted, I always come back because there is 100% WORST out there. With me trying to get my life together, I finally decided to get my expired passport renewed. This required me to go and get some photos taken. I hopped online and did a quick search for locations that could help me accomplish this task and up pops Walgreens. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty hesitant to take this route due to some pretty bad reviews and a number of horror stories regarding the lack of care and knowledge the employees had when it came down to photo requirements. The last thing I wanted to do was waste my time, money, and delay my passport getting renewed. BUT!! Convenience and my laziness got the best of me and off to Walgreens I went. I arrive to an empty photo department but flagging someone down was easy enough. In walks Isabel (shift lead) who makes the process super easy. She asks that I take a seat with a white backdrop and begins to take multiple images. Once she was confident that she had a shot that could be used, she brought me over to a kiosk where Isabel went through a check list prior to confirming the photo and printing it out. The process took about 20-25 mins for the images to be ready. Whoo hoo for same day pick up!! Cost was a whopping $17 for a set of 2 which is a lot cheaper than what passport photographers would charge. 5/5 stars for Walgreen's passport photo process. Isabel seemed knowledgeable enough but the final test will be the government actually passing my renewal application. Stay tuned for a possible "part two" review.

The hospital recommended this pharmacy and sent the prescription here. Within 30 minutes, I got a call that the medication wasn't in stock nor available for 4 more days. I chose to put the order on hold. A few minutes later, I changed my mind and went to the same pharmacy to request them to transfer the order to another store. The pharmacist who helped was incredibly kind and helpful. Literally had two physical phones up to his ear to contact other stores and ensure they had the item in stock. That level of service is really REALLY special. He could have easily just redirected me somewhere else (16 miles away) and made it someone else's issue to deal with but instead, he chose to do the right thing and make sure what I needed was there before I left. To me, that shows integrity and commitment to work. Yes, the area is a little sketch. Yes, the parking lot has a lot of trash. Yes, the wait times can be a little long. But the customer service is top notch. I'd come back if I needed 24/7 medication in the future.

I was so happy when I was able to order what I needed and was able to pick it up right after. My order was ready within 15 minutes and picking up was a breeze. Since I didn't walk around the store much, I can't really say about the selection of items, but from what I can see - the aisles were neat and things were stocked. I did have to wait a little bit until a staff member was available, but overall - it was a quick and pleasant experience. I would def order online and come pick up again if I'm in need of anything. This location shares the parking lot with a Planet Fitness (right next door), Carl's Jr, and some chargers. I think the Tesla chargers are often busy, but the ones near Carl Jr's seems to have free spots sometimes. Parking can get tricky here, especially during the 4-6 hour. When it rains, there's also a huge pool of water in the middle parking spots and people tend to go the wrong way - be cautious when trying to find parking!

I was confused because my doc confirmed with the pharmacist regarding stock availability when the doc phoned in the prescription about an hour ago. When I confronted the pharmacy staff, she was really defensive, rude & uncaring with no apologies whatsoever. The same staff then grabs the actual antibiotic from the shelf & yells in a snarky tone to come back in one hour & did confirmed the antibiotics was in fact in stock.
