I would like to report a very disappointing experience at the Walgreens pharmacy located at 1795 Capitol Expy, San Jose, CA 95121. I had been experiencing severe tooth pain for several days, which I believe was related to my wisdom tooth. The pain was so intense that I could not sleep, and I was having sharp, throbbing pain that seemed to radiate through my head. A dentist prescribed me an antibiotic because of my condition. When I went to this Walgreens to pick up my medication, the female pharmacist on duty told me that I could not receive it unless I contacted my dentist and asked the dentist to call another Walgreens to confirm the prescription. At that point, it was already around 9:00 PM, and the dental office was closed, so there was no realistic way for me to do what she was asking. I was already in severe pain and became so overwhelmed that I cried at the pharmacy. I understand that pharmacists have policies and responsibilities they must follow, but I felt that the female pharmacist showed very little understanding or compassion for how urgent and painful my situation was. I was not asking for medication without a prescription -- the medication had already been prescribed by a dentist. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I later drove approximately 20 minutes to another Walgreens, where I was able to pick up the same prescribed medication without being required to call my dentist for additional confirmation. I am disappointed that the situation was handled so differently between two Walgreens locations. I hope this complaint can be reviewed so that patients who are experiencing severe pain and urgent situations can be treated with more understanding, compassion, and clear communication in the future. read more

It's good. I go here renew my clipper card! Fast service don't have to wait in the photo section.

Walgreens is a joke. My doctor had put in 3 prescription meds for me on Monday and I went to go pick them up today (Saturday) because they said that they were ready for pick-up. I walked in and they told me that only 1 of my meds were ready. I was so annoyed. Took it and walked out. Out of curiosity, I opened the bag just to find out they only refilled 5 out of the 60 that I was supposed to get. I went back in to complain and The lady told me that that's all they have. I told them that they had a whole week to refill my meds for me. I've never had this issue when I was picking up my meds from Walmart, because they would refill my meds for me within 1- 2 days. Unfortunately since I changed health insurance, Now I'm stuck with this bullshit. This isn't the first time this has happened either. And looking around, I'm not the only one that has to deal with this bs. I would have given them no star if given the option. If you're reading this, Save yourself the trouble and try to find a different Pharmacy. I heard they are going bankrupt and are closing. Thank god for that read more

Paying customer but wouldn't even give the code or let my grandma use the bathroom. @ Morning Shift.

Absolute worst pharmacy EVER. You'd think it's an independent mom and pop pharmacy from how disorganized and lack of structure there is. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Worst experience at a pharmacy BY FAR. They took 2 days to try and deliver my son's prescription, and then canceled it without my consent or knowledge after I was already charged and paid for delivery. They went back and forth 5 times on whether or not I was going to receive the item or I needed to come in. The absolute poor excuse for humans in the pharmacy are rude, careless and incompetent. I will never use this store. read more

I came to this Walgreens on 06/19, I am a frequent customer at this location. I use reusable bags and I had them out while shopping. I was in the store for about 12 minutes, when an employee yelled across the store to bring my bags up to the front register while I shop. I immediately walked up and told her I will not be shopping here because that is wrong. I am very offended, and will not be returning this location. read more

These pharmacist's cancel my prescriptions without even asking me if I wanted them or if I could afford said they weren't covered by insurance and I could buy over the counter. And the medication price was $2 wtf u think I can't pay $2,I heard her telling her staff to cancel and they seemed confuse going back forth but I understand they have to listen to her she their boss . I'm always having an issue refilling my Weightloss medication like she has an issue with me getting manager name is Alexi and is useless mostly definitely will be calling corporate office filing an official complaint read more

Tried picking up a FedEx package and what an absolute nightmare. They located the package but would not release it to me because it was in my wife's name. I showed the manager my id which had the same address and she refused to release the package. I attempted to show her my fed ex app clearly showing the details of the package. It gets worst, as I went back at night with my wife to pick up the package to discover that they gave the package back to Fed Ex to return to the business. If you have other options, I would recommend going to another FedEx holding facility. Update 10/24: package was redirected back to Walgreens and finally received. They politely explained their store policy this time and the reasons which helped clarify the unfortunate initial situation. read more

I come here to get my shots and anything to do with the pharmacy. However, this place sucks. I don't understand why would you make an appointment and have to wait. It is pointless to schedule an appointment. You can walk in instead but one time they told my mom they can't take walk-ins. This is stupid in my opinion because they do take walk-ins and if you make an appointment it will take forever until you get what you need. I only come here for my shots and it is closest to me but I don't like this Walgreens read more

Take all of your photo needs somewhere else if you want to ensure they get done - they won't tell you they can't do it until you show up to pick it up! I made an online order for one poster and when i showed up the following day to pick it up. I was told that their equipment was down and that the order couldn't be fulfilled. No one bothered to contact me about this before coming down and the manager saw fit to address me with "what's up?" not once but twice when I addressed her. This is not the first time a Walgreens in this area has failed to have the resources to accomplish very basic photo needs. There are just too many other options out there to be bothered with Walgreens' inconsistency. read more

Rude employees and bad service, specifically in the photo department. I will be visiting the Blossom Hill location from now on.

This is the reason why most folks purchase online instead of coming into their local neighborhood stores (i.e. Walgreens). Came in to find a product and asked a sales person. They stated "is it on the self? No? We don't have it". Jeez can you check the back? Can you check another store? Heavens forbid you lift a finger to help little old me. (Sales person, tatted, fake eye brows, Hispanic, you know who you are) maybe you need a little coaching here. Pharmacy department, you are all great, 5 stars for you. Review done. read more

I've used their services here for a couple of times and have been pleased with the help from the pharmacist and their team. From my experience, I had shorter wait times on the phone, faster refills, and overall received better service here than the my previous Walgreens pharmacy. It's so hard to find a good pharmacy so I am hoping they will continue to service our community with the same level of care that I received. read more

The RUDEST so-called supervisor I've ever encountered! Her name is MARIA and she literally pointed her finger at me telling me with a loud voice to wait just because they're very busy and she was the only one who can assist! First of all, I asked nicely for help and inquired how many minutes I should wait and she again said- well, you have to wait! I ended up choosing another item. When I was finally at the counter and asked help from her colleague, she said- don't ring her up! Well, she's been so rude and acted like she owned Walgreens! This definitely is going to reach upper management. Just a piece of advice- don't promote people who doesn't have the right attitude and etiquette to deal with customers! And to the nice young associate at the counter who tried to appease me and told me he knows where I'm coming from- God bless you! He was trying to finish my transaction but the power tripping MARIA kept on telling him not to do it because she's the "Manager"????! Wondering why you still work there with all the customer complaints Walgreens is getting because of you! You should've been FIRED a long time ago! read more

I bought a target gift card here for baby gender reveal and there was no money in it when the parents of the baby tried to used at target store. I contact the Walgreens customer service 3 times before they sent me an email and suggested me to go back to store to ask for a copy of the receipt because my purchase was still under 90 days but I stopped in the store this evening and the lady there was very rude, very unfriendly and refused to give me a copy of my purchase receipt even though I told her that I received an email from Walgreen(gift card dept). I then asked to speak to supervisor and she claimed she is the supervisor!! The supervisor was a gentleman in store and allowed her to do that and allowed her to walked to the door and yelled F word to the other customer and tell that customer to go apply for welfare. Walgreens - Came here to pick up my package at 9:30 - Drugstores Near Me - San Jose, California

Had one of the worst customer experiences ever at this Walgreens. I placed an order for a simple photo print through the Walgreens app, with a promised pick-up time of 7:25 p.m. on May 23. This was for a very important passport photo with an appointment scheduled for the next morning. When I told the man working behind the counter that I was there to pick up a photo print, the response was so rude and dismissive that I was immediately taken aback. He told me the photo area was "down" and there was no print for me. No explanation, no apology, no email from Walgreens indicating there would be a delay, just a harsh and unfriendly reply from this disgraceful employee. I luckily ordered and received my print elsewhere and will never give my business to this Walgreens again. If you want even passable customer service, go elsewhere. Here all you'll get is a lesson in how NOT to treat customers. read more

Walgreen Photo - Bad customer service. On 01/05/2023, I brought my negative film in for developing and photo print. According to the clerk, I they would call me when my order received from a lab. Three weeks after, no one had called. I stopped by to check. One employee said they have not received anything back yet. She gave me Fuji Lab phone number and suggested me to call them. I called, turned out Fuji lab has not received any order under my name. BTW, "I were not supposed to call a lab, it should be a store responsibility " a lab tech said. 02/01/2023, I came back to the store has spoke with the person in-charge, she found out that my envelope was still in the basket and has not even entered the system. She said sorry, and promised to send them out ASAP. As today, 02/14/2023. I still have not heard from Walgreen, then I decided to stop by to double check. My envelope is still sitting in the basket. The clerk said "we still waiting for FedEx shipping label to send out, if I want to wait, or bring it to another Walgreen location which is on White Rd for faster service." I would not recommend using photo service at this location. read more

Do NOT get your photos printed here. I just had one photo to print and lady said it would be done by the night. I came the next day and it STILL wasn't ready so a different girl told me to come back in 30 minutes. Came back later and it STILL wasn't ready and then told it would be ready in five minutes by some other guy. Literally 20 minutes pass and another 5 minutes is asked. I am so mad because wtf are all these estimates? Such a waste of my time. I am now running late for work and I doubt this review even matters. read more

The pharmacy never picks up the phone. On hold for 2 hours and hangs up by someone!!!

I came here for a booster shot and one of the pharmacists didn't help me check in so i waited 30 min past my appointment and another pharmacist told me I had to sign paperwork. I don't understand why they couldn't give it to me in the first place instead of making me wait. She then asked for my vax card and when i handed it, my ID slipped onto the desk and she ASSUMED i threw it at her. I have to laugh. She then yelled and told me to stop acting that way or else they wouldn't help me when I did NOTHING WRONG. I'm so disgusted by their service. read more

If I can give zero stars I would. Workers just walk around the massive line of people waiting and they DONT EVEN TRY TO HELP! Someone has to yell just to get their attention. I even witnessed someone going behind the counter and stealing something and walk out like nothing happened! And All this in front of EMPLOYEES! Wal greens; can't you get young , not grumpy attentive workers?! read more

I must say that I am seriously disgusted that this is taking place at my local Walgreens. I have never been in the store near closing hours, and the first time I was there near closing hours all I saw was people walking in to steal, and the staff can't do anything about it. Theft is a serious problem at this store and they must hire a security to at least deter these thieves. I was there for less than 10 minutes and I witnessed 4 different people walk in and walk out with products without paying. No wonder stores are closing and going to online, don't blame them. Keep on voting Democrat!!! read more

Your store manager has no manners nor customer service skills. I asked politely where to pickup my FedEx package yesterday at 7pm and she just said "our system is down" in a rudest way. Since it's my first time to get a package through Walgreens, I asked if I could speak to their store manager and she bragged " I am the store manager, and I told you that our system is down". I walked a bit since she's getting into my nerves, but she somewhat prevented me from looking around at the store to asked another staff. I asked what time do they close so I could come again and hoping that your store system will back up, she answered "10pm and don't know when our system will be up" in a irritable state. OMG, what's wrong with this lady...I will check again today, hoping Walgreens system will be working properly. Your store manager needs to know what customer service is. read more

Reward points! I have about 1000 of these but I don't know what to do with them! Good service at the pharmacy department. Fast and convenient. Allows you to refill online or via phone. Not the worst store, but DEFINITELY not the best. Came here twice 2/8/20 midday and the first trip was nice-- empty store so there was no hassle with lines, staff were sparse and quiet but overall pleasant to interact with (no more, no less). Went in and got our photos taken an left pretty quickly. However these photos were EXPENSIVE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE for passport photos- go to a Rite-Aid/ Costco for the same photos half the price of Walgreens! Second trip, not so pleasant. Came back to get another photo done and was told the waiting time would be ~20m, said okay- we'll be back in 20m. Fast forward 20m, we come back and they haven't even processed our photo! Ended up waiting an extra 20m for a photo that should've been done much earlier. Waste of time and frankly money as well. read more
