What a cute place! Nina the owner is a doll and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The studio is in downtown willow glen on the Main Street Lincoln. I love this area and it's charm. It's easy to find parking since they have a big lot behind the studio which is nice because downtown willow glen could get busy around dinner time. I love how clean and simple Glow Wax Studio is and how Nina made me feel comfortable while I was getting my service done. The studio was definitely following the COVID procedure when I was visiting. I originally booked a brazilian wax for 12:30 pm, but she accommodated to come in earlier. She has a wipe ready for you to use and some numbing spray. I thought that was a nice personal touch. First of all be careful if it's your first time coming as there's another "glow aesthetics" downstairs but Nina's place is upstairs (stairs on the side of the building). Nina was great she's very transparent about things and even provides a wipe to freshen up if you'd like! My usual wax lady was on vacation and I was scrambling to find someone! Nina is AMAZING. I was honestly so nervous about getting my first Brazilian but she made me feel super comfortable during the before, during and after process. Not only was she a great conversationalist, she also gave me the best advice regarding any questions i had. Prior to your service, a sanitizing wipe and numbing spray is provided in which you use alone in the room. The wax used was the right temperature and gripped onto the hair very well which resulted in pretty much picture perfect results. Make sure your hair is the right length if you plan on getting waxed; otherwise if it's too short the hairs are going to have a very difficult time sticking to the wax. Most likely she would ask you to come back if it's too short also. Everything was very neat and clean as well. read more
