Anyways Christine is really easy going and good at what she does! Both important ofc. Texting her to make an appointment was a breeze and the day of I was in and out in 15 mins. *Note: For anyone going for their first time Christine had a room in the back of Salon & Spa so when you pull up you are in the right spot! Don't go past it because there seem to be some signs about no parking on the WVDC side of the lot. Unsure if this is enforced or not but there is plenty of parking by the salon. read more

I love all the works by Christine. Here are my reviews for : 1. Eyelash extension I was one of her first clients when she first offered eyelash extensions. The whole service takes about 2-2.5 hours depending on your volume and set. She will first give you a consultation and go over expectations. She gives you honest advice, I have hooded eyes so I wasn't sure if I would look good with winged or flared out style sets. She gave me full volume and long lashes which I loved! Christine gets better and better each time. One time, I wasn't entirely satisfied with my extensions and I was honest with her. She immediately asked me when I can come back and offered to fix it for me at no cost. 2. Eyelash perm This was a surprise for me. I have long straight lashes that point straight down and are stubborn to curl. I told myself I'll never look good with perm because extensions make my eyes look so good already! I was wrong...the perm was gorgeous. It opened up my eyes and made it look more natural. Not to mention, no fake lashes falling overtime. It also takes 1 hour (including consultation time) Thank you Christine!!! I would definitely repeat this service again. Pro tip: shower before and do not shower for at least 24 hours so it can dry and set! It makes the lash perm last longer (this applies to the extensions too) 3. Wax Her service is priced fairly and she's professional. Great bedside manners and always making sure you feel comfortable. She also goes back with tweezers to get the stubborn ones out. I have been going to Christine for two years plus now to have her wax my eyebrows and upper lip. She is a very nice person, very very sweet but...Our client relationship had to end today. She over does it on the eyebrows! I had to stop going to her for 6 months due to my eyebrows being way too thin. I forgave her and wanted to give her another chance because of how nice she is and the convenience of her being so close to my home. I explained in thorough detail that I stopped coming to see her due to her doing my eyebrows so thin and I explained that I did not like them thin like that and I explained exactly how I wanted them. Cleaned up and not close to the actual brow, just the hairs around. She understood she said and she actually did a good job. The second time going since my 6 month break from her (which was today) I explained it to her again how I wanted them (she tends to forget things) and she did them thin again like before!!! Awful! The same exact thing I explained to her not to do, she did not listen to me. So once again, I have to re-grow my eyebrows out the same way for another 6 darn months! She does not listen at all, or maybe she just doesn't care to listen to what her customers wants are. Like I had said before, I have been going to her for two years plus now, which should have ended much sooner. She also knows already I am very allergic to the cream she puts on after she waxes, and EVERY single time I go (monthly for two year minus the 6 months I took off) she somehow "forgets" every time and puts the cream on me and has to wipe it off with alcohol so I'm severely broken out and have to wait for the flare up to go down which takes weeks! She obviously does not pay attention to her clients individual needs and could careless to remember important things like this. How do you forget each and every time that your client is allergic to cream and clearly not remember you repeatedly make this same mistake that happens over and over again each time I go? How can you keep forgetting. Too much gossip and chatting makes her drift off and lose her train of thought, she cannot multi task at all! Two years is more than enough time for you to remember this very important detail. I cannot understand Christine and some of her ways. She just does not care. Why else would she forget everything I tell her? It's all about the money with her. She up-sells me each time I go...if I wanted another service I would have asked for it by now...I always get the same thing and she knows that. I was getting tired of the sales pitches as well. She lost a very good customer of her's today. She should put her clients needs first before anything else. Now I have 6 months again until my eyebrows are back to normal so now I have to fill them in all the time until then just like before, back to square one. What a waste. I miss my eyebrows so much, they were looking gorgeous ever since I took that break from her. Shame on you Christine. I will never return back. I believe in her skill so much that I have confidently converted my sister and few of my friends into brow waxing too. Absolutely love Christine's work! She takes her time trimming and plucking after waxing my eyebrows. I never feel rushed when I see her which is a huge plus. Booking with her is super easy. Simply text her and she responds right away. Unfortunately she only accepts cash though. For eyebrow and upper lip, it costs $25. I usually give her a $5 tip as well. $30 for eyebrows and lip seems like a lot, but she is totally worth it! Definitely ask for the stamp card and get your free eyebrow appt after 10 stamps. Note that she is located inside a salon. Her room is all the way in the back. You don't need to greet anyone when you walk in-- just go straight to the back and wait on the couch. Very swanky place with a huge office in the back. I have been begging my mom to let me do my eyebrows for years since they were overgrown and unsightly and now she's the one telling me to give Christine this amazing yelp review. By far, one of the nicest ladies ever and she really stuck to my my wishes. I have wild eyebrow hair but it's not that thick. So even the slightest mistake would give me super thin looking brows which is not what I wanted. However, Christine only did what was necessary for me to get my desired brows and did not go overboard at all (thank the lord). My eyebrows don't have an extreme shape to them but look a lot like my natural brows but way cleaner and neater. She only charged $20 for a job well done but I gave her $30 because it was everything I wanted and more.
