I scheduled a couple of weeks in advance to have Christmas manicures (dip/gel) and pedicures in their antigravity chairs for myself and 3 of my family members. They did not arrive early as stated so no time to soak our feet but also only arrived with 3 technicians instead of 4 so my niece just sat there while the rest of us received our pedicures (nothing special other than the chairs). The same went for our manicures and my design was smudged. They arrived at 1pm and didn't leave until after 6pm so I wasn't going to have them stay and fix them. And, now, both my niece and sister's nails are coming off and my sister has a nail fungus on her finger! Great experience here. They have friendly staff and I received my best manicure to date. I always have excess cuticles and the tech paid close attention to detail. I never knew they had scissors for cuticles until today! Just tells me the other places I frequent have cut corners in my service. I got the dip manicure and I couldn't be more satisfied. As someone who lives so close to Main Street, I really wanted to like this place! Especially being next to farmers market and great walking distance... I get pedicures often, twice a month usually.. and had gel Christmas polish so with it being Jan 4th it was time to redo nails, they would not do gel however even though I was fine with paying extra, so I just opted for French tips and callous remover extras... I spoke with Ms Avis on the phone briefly, she was very short with me but I was just so grateful she could fit me in with her schedule that I didn't think too much about it. Had a great first impression of the salon, beautiful chair/bowls/headphones/warm sheets... however right off the bat I noticed this woman is rough! And so crazy to have a bowl there with warm water but no foot soak, just a dip.. my feet were left cold and wet while my body was hot and sweaty under the sheets... So here I am, basically blindfolded with the eye cover and headphones but no one working on my feet, she finally comes back only to be really rough and sloppy, felt like my toddler daughter filing my nails so sloppy, zero precision, like one swipe of the nail file and I can't emphasize enough the zero precision... you can tell what someone is doing to your nails especially being laid back and eyes covered but this was a swipe here and there and lots of meat of toe being filed, I kept thinking this was someone's grandma who maybe filled in for the actual esthetician maybe because she didn't seemed trained at all in what she was doing. I was so nervous when she brought out the drill... she burned my nails from filing in one spot too much and then because she was so sloppy she cut my toe! Surely I was bleeding but I was also eyes covered but I could feel her taking care of the cut so I remained calm and still... again REALLY trying to like this place... not once but 3 times she applied acetone directly on the fresh wound, so I got up from the chair to look at my nail and told her "I have a cut here and the chemicals are burning." She says, "you came in with that cut." Dead serious this lady lied to my face... I said "no I felt that happen when you were drilling away the gel polish." She just looked at me and I took a deep breath and again REALLY TRYING TO LIKE THIS PLACE... laid back down to let her finish the polish... 1 minute later she's taking off the sheet so rough it ruins my toe polish on my left big toe! I get up and.. she yanks off my headphones from the strap part instead of ear part and literally pulls out a chunk of my hair! I say "ouch" as impulse and her reply : "oops.." This lady straight up abused me! I didn't even care my polish was ruined I was ready to run out of there... I stood up and was going to put on my shoes until she told me to walk to the couch barefoot.. She made a motion to grab my bag for me but after that pedicure I didn't want her near my stuff so I grabbed it and barefoot walked to the couch as she said, Put on my slides at couch area (these are pedicure shoes, huge wide mouth shoes that won't mess up nails) And she told me I couldn't put them on.. FYI And walked up to the young man that checked me out, I told him everything... and said she needed training. He didn't reply back but told me that I didn't have to pay extra for the gel polish removal. Overall what you're getting is an overpriced polish change IF THAT, and I have no idea how this place has great reviews it's very misleading. No foot massage, no leg massage, no precision with work or filing nails, the people that work here had no customer service skills they all looked unhappy and you can tell in the quality of work provided. Horrible experience! Unsanitary, unprofessional - do not waste your time or money going here. We were scheduled for 60 min zero gravity couples pedi. It was almost 2 hours before we got out of there. My nail technician was doing my pedi & someone else's nails at the same time! The salon needs a deep cleaning! We were sent to employee kitchen to scrub our hands prior to pedis. It was dirty & food on the counter & food in the microwave. I hope they can take the time to clean & be more professional and turn this salon around. Always want to support local small businesses but this one needs a makeover. read more

I am sorry to have to give this a poor rating. I probably should have told them at time of service but didn't want to make a big deal. I ended up doing the 45 min pedicure after finding out that they don't do any traditional pedicure here. I figured why not. I was a walk in so not a big deal that they told me to come back an hour later when there was someone available. Then when service started I sat in the zero gravity chair for some time, which gave me the chance to relax. They forgot to put my headphones on until more than half way through the service. I'm only saying this so that they can improve on their service but I ended up having the lady do my pedicure. I agree with the other yelper that she was super rough on my feet and toes. In fact as she was cleaning up my cuticles , she ended up cutting part of my skin on both toes. I felt like I was bleeding all over and I was in pain. She even over painted my toes that I thought she was pouring acid where she cut it. Again I should have said something when I was there but didn't want to make a scene. A week later my toes are scabbing from where she cut them and where she over painted onto my skin, it has already peeled off. The concept is good but I don't want to go back there. The experience was just too painful. Please be more gentle on your clients and do not overpaint past the nails. read more

This nail salon is a small family owned business, Megan was very professional. All in all, my experience was very pleasant with a few draw backs. I made a 3:00pm appointment, and arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled time. I was greeted by Megan when I arrived, and said I would be seen shortly. While I waited, she provided me nail samples to choose from as she worked on another client. There were only 3 technicians total in the shop, and they were all with clients when I arrived. I waited for about 30 minutes, then Megan had me sit at a nail station where she cleaned up my cuticles. When she was done, she went back to finish up her current client. I then waited another 30 minutes for her to finish. When she was finally able to get to me, I did not end up leaving the salon until 6:00PM. I really appreciate the effort Megan made trying to achieve the look I wanted, but I feel I was in the salon for a little too long. Prices are higher than most salons also, my dip/shellac cost $60.00. My nails are pretty though! read more

What a unique experience! This is hands down the best place to get a pedicure. Pausing in a zero gravity chair with a warm blanket, noise cancelling headphones, and an eye mask make for an incredibly tranquil experience. I bought a Groupon that says you need to call 24 hours in advance to book the appointment and when I called they said they could only do those appointments on Saturdays and Sundays, I explained I was only in town for the weekend and was leaving Monday, they did not clearly state in there Groupon that was only for Saturdays and Sundays. I really wanted to like this experience, but it was terrible in so many ways.i dont write this to bash this place or employees because they all seem nice but to prevent others from a truly terrible experience. It could have been cleaner and more organized to promote a relaxing feel. I tried two sets of headphone a which neither worked and i gave up. The angle of the chair caused significant back pain. The room directly behind your head is extremely loud and non relaxing. But.... The main event waa a pedicure. I am pretty sure the sweet lady who is mine had never so ne it before. Lots of cuts, blessing and pain involved. It took forever. The polish was evwry where. Unfortunately it want just mine. My sister whom is always positive had equally bad experience with another. Can I give less than a 1 star? A zero rating? The "mama" of the place was my masseuse (if that's even what you call it as there was no massaging) and she was extremely rude and practically threw stuff around during my pedicure. They say a foot soak, LOL talk about foot dip. They mention a massage which is MAYBE 5 minutes. I informed her I was pregnant in which she understood, when I asked at the end of the massage if that's how long each massage was supposed to be, she said "your pregnant I couldn't do half of it" so.... I barely get a massage??? I don't get anything extra to substitute that. 60 minute pedicure? I was out in 50 minutes... when I was done checking out AND tipping her (regret) it wasn't my 60 minute time yet. My friend who I raved about this place to came as well and she was just as disappointed... I guess not every business gets better with time, they get worse. This is one of them. Pedicure, mediocre. Went in for the first time today and had a pedicure done by Isis. It was absolutely amazing and I will definitely return. Isis took her time and my toes look fabulous! The zero gravity chairs, blankets, eye mask and headphones make the whole experience relaxing and definitely a stress reliever. I usually go to Asian salons but grew tired of the hustle and chaos in those salons. Its always hard to relax and enjoy the experience with the commotion. At Lifestylez, the atmosphere is relaxing, the employees are very nice and accommodating, and I felt appreciated for just coming in the door. Another gem in Dallas! I was here for work, and needed some pampering. Having never experienced a zero gravity pedicure before, all I can say is HOLY GOD! Megan did my manicure first; gel polish. She paid attention to every small detail, like my cuticles, and flawless paint. Probably the best I've had! Anasia did my pedicure. I swear, I was transported to somewhere else. They put noise cancelling headphones on you, wrap you in a blanket, and tilt you back. Unlike the usual pedicure where you have to "help" them by holding your leg or foot up, etc., this one, you don't do a thing. It was truly an awesome experience. And a great job done on my toes, too! This might be a good nail salon but I guess I will never know. I drove all the way across town because of the yelp reviews. The sign on the door says they open at 9. It's 930 and it's all locked up. I called and the lady said they will be opening at 11. I said "ok, the sign on the door says 9." I would think at this point she would say " yeah I'm sorry about that, we have been meaning to change it" or " yeah we usually open at 9 but there was an emergency" etc etc. However, instead she says "OK???" Like "yeah, what do you want me to do about it?" Just frustrating that I drove half an hour to get here and she's opening 2 hours late and wouldn't even offer an apology. Wish zero stars or even negative stars were a choice. Some friends and I went during the day on a Thursday and called first to ensure the staff had time for three people. One technician bounced between two pedicures and even started a manicure at the same time. We were left literally laying in the dark, eyes covered, feet cold, 100% unattended and were expected to pay $70+. I have never received worse service at salon.
