Small little shop, appearance is neat but nothing too fancy but the service was awesome and amazing!! Quiet atmosphere while we got pedicures and one manicure. Decides to try out the new people and will not return. Decided on the organic pedicure, which is the most expensive one, so that I could have a 20 minute massage. How many minutes did I get? 8!!! And I was supposed to have fruit and stuff in the water and did not get that. To top it all off, the hot stones weren't even hot. Will not return to this place again! read more

Normally don't leave reviews, but this place was so HORRIBLE that I had to. If Jenny is doing your nails, RUN out of there!!! She completely shredded my cuticles and made it so bloody on almost every nail; it burns so much. She also did a HORRIBLE paint job and they kicked us out before it could even dry. On top of that, she didn't apologize for making me bleed multiple times after I told her to be gentle and they made me pay full price! DO NOT make the same mistake I did and go to Jenny!! After the pedicure, I sat there for about 1-2 HOURS before she even started my "manicure". (They did not even offer or ask me if I wanted anything to drink.) The manicure included a soak, massage, cleaning and let me tell you, none of that happened. The "soak" was just a bowl of water (which again, was NOT even warm). Jenny then cleaned my cuticles the first time and she left a hang nail which I pointed out when they switched me over to another girl to do my gel nails. The other girl then sent me back to Jenny which was so frustrating because we had been waiting for HOURS at that point. The other nail girl then got started on someone else's nails! I would've waited but she was doing dip nails with design so that was going to take hours. Jenny then worked on cutting my cuticles again but this time she was so aggressive and intense she made all my nails bloody! The entire towel was bloody! After the first cut I told her to be careful and be gentler, but she did NOT care at ALL. She made me bleed on almost all my nails which made me pissed, but I was very polite in the way that I told her. I normally don't say anything because I trust-the-process, but this was horrible! I was very upset in the way that she responded because she did NOT even apologize!! A simple "I'm sorry for making you bleed" or actually being more careful is not too much to ask for, especially when I am paying for it! And it was already almost 8 PM and I'm sure they were tired and hungry and needed to close too so I asked my friends what we should do, and this is what we were trying to ask: We asked how long it would take for my nails and then Jenny and the other nail lady got very mad (mind you we had already been there for about 3 hours and most of it was spent simply waiting). She said 30 min, but the other customer's nails weren't at that point yet, so I knew it probably would've been another hour or so at least. At this point, all the employees became pissed for no reason. They said I would still have to pay full price for the pedicure AND manicure which I was not ok with since I knew they would not have done my nails had I come back. And they were doing an absolutely horrible job too. They refused to budge and tried to upcharge me to $65 which I refused to pay because they were doing such a horrible job. They said the lowest they could do was the basic mani-pedi ($45) which I was going to add gel to, but I didn't because of all the blood. Jenny made us all pay before she started on my nails which was SO RUDE!! And then she proceeded to do a HORRIBLE job on my nails. (I have done better at home without having to pay for this.) It was so rude to make us pay before we finished our service, I am incredibly offended about that! She just glopped on super thick layers of nail polish without even letting it dry in-between! It was super wonky and horribly done! I really just gave up at that point and let her do it because I had already paid for it at this point. Afterwards, they kicked us out of the salon before my nails could even dry! The other customer was super rude about it too and wanted us out as well. The employees were glaring at us the whole time, and I kept saying my nails weren't dry, but they literally kicked us out! I'm immensely upset about my experience! I will never be going there again! It was not an issue of price because I would've gladly spent around $100 for nails that I liked but they look absolutely ATROCIOUS. 1. When I first walked in, before they sat me down for anything, they would've said it was going to take too much time and to make an appointment or even given me a simple time estimate. 2. After she completely shredded up my cuticles, and before they put on the polish, they should've stopped right there. I would've gladly paid for the pedicure and left without any hard feelings. 3. Even if they made me pay full price, they should not have been mean or rude about the bloody and horrible job they did on my nails. Jenny also should have apologized and slowed down and been gentler especially since I told her so many times. 4. They should not have forced me to pay before they finished with the polish, that was incredibly rude. 5. They should have not kicked us out (while my nails were still wet), especially since there were others in there. I am very upset because I still had to pay full price for the worst, bloodiest nail job I've ever had. DO NOT GO HERE OR LET JENNY TOUCH YOUR NAILS!! (See pics for full review) read more

After reading the previous reviews I was very hesitant to try this place out. I noticed a lot of the reviews are a year or older so I thought I would give it a chance. I had a great experience! I went at lunchtime on a Friday and I didn't have to wait. All the ladies working were very friendly and nice. It was clean and Lynn did a great job. A very sick large fish was laying on its side at the bottom of a fish tank alongside another fish trying to pick it up with its nose to help it swim again. This was going on for the entire hour I was there. When I commented on this, I was told they were husband and wife, 14 years old and nothing could be done. The tank looked dirty and I doubted what they said was true. It's one of the saddest things I've ever seen. While this is a small shop the quality of service is great! Wendy does amazing natural and acrylic nails. I've also had great experiences with the other two techs; both Mani and Pedi. They have a number of loyal clientele and will keep client's personal tools in labeled boxes. Wonderful for the germ-phobic! The only down side is that there are only three chairs so sometimes its challenging to just walk in and sit right down. Everyone is super friendly and they are really good about remembering you when you return (regardless of how long its been since your last visit) They do accept credit cards but prefer cash or check. read more

I went in to treat myself to a birthday mani/pedi. I called when I got off work and they were able to get me in within the hour. It was probably 6 when I went (can't remember the exact time now, as it was a couple of months ago). The ladies were all so nice and my nails looked so great and lasted for weeks! Normally manicures last two days with me but here it is 1 week later and no chips. The shop is small and clean. The staff is polite and knows how to give a good manicure. (My former nail lady moved too far away). I've been getting my nails done for about 10 years, by various nail techs.... and Wendy IS ONE OF THE BESTones I have ever had. I love this place. I've been coming here for two years for pedicures and eyebrow waxes (always done by Susan). They're sweet, genuine and always speak English - even when they're having conversations amongst themselves. I think that shows the utmost respect and it's definitely a rarity for American-based nail salons. Communication is key when talking about nails!! They are great! My schedule can be very erratic and they are able to fit me in within 24 hours every time I call without an appointment. They are very good with my old feet and take such good care to make sure my manicure is the way I like it before I leave their shop. I've tried several other salons in Grapevine and Flower Mound, but I keep coming back here because Wendy is there to stay in business and that means connecting and making sure their customers are happy. This salon has bad customer service when you want them to redo their work. Wendy shouted on me in front of the customer where i asked to repair the newly painted nail. They did not realize going back in their salon after been there 30 minutes, it takes time for me to drive and skip my important things to do. When I went in they said I was late and took a walk in! Now as I had told the lady I looked them up on yelp a d only saw two reviews for a girl named Wendy. Whom by the way, stole me from the much nicer lady that was taking my name. She apparently switched my appointment to with an I'll call you if that person does not show. Needless to say she didn't call to let me know if was missing an appointment she switched from 2 to 115. I'll bet she'd called if she had no customers. I went to this salon on 12/31/12 and got a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was fine. The manicure was a nightmare. The technician cut my cuticles on multiple nails until they bled and wiped the blood with a dirty towel. She did not apply any sort of antiseptic. I was appalled. She then gave me a massage that can only be described as brutal. Multiple bruises appeared on my arms the next day. Do not go here. read more

So - I'm staying at the Gaylord Texan - they don't do acrylics there at the hotel spa. I called the high end spa the hotel recommended - but the gal wanted to soak my nails off, put on white tipped nails and pink powder ... When I just wanted a fill and French polish. I ended up calling Hot Nails. The girl was polite and gracious. I ended up coming an hour early and she was happy to take me. She did a lovely job - no nicking the cuticles or hurting my hands. She did a lovely job with the polish. Overall - great little spot. They have spa chairs for pedicures. Definitely recommend this nice little spot. read more

I have had acrylic nails, on and off, for approximately 30 years. I can honestly say that this was the worst experience that I have ever had. Wendy is in such a big hurry that her work is horrible. My nails were way too wide and far to thick. When I nicely asked that she correct this, she informed me "no one ever complains about that. You should just grow your own nails". Needing a new set of nails quickly for a banquet I was attending later that day, I stumbled on Hot Nails in Grapevine. First lady available was Susan who proceeded to do the prettiest set of white tip nails I have ever had applied. She did the buff style so no polish was needed and I was out in no time. It was so nice to pay and walk out without having to sit under the dryer for a half hour and I couldn't be happier with how good they looked! I went back to Susan for a fill and was thrilled to notice that I couldn't see where the first set ended and the fill began, which is a common problem with french manicures. Having moved to DFW from Orlando last year, I have been so frustrated with the nail techs here, but now that I have found a nail salon that does such quality work, I am willing to drive from Saginaw to Grapevine every 2-3 weeks for my nail appointments. The salon is small and could use an updating so its not much to look at, but I'm more concerned with the quality of work they provide which is top-notch. read more
