On Thurs. Jul. 20th, 2023...My GF & I wanted to try this place & we got our nails done here. However, not knowing that the customer service was very horrible, especially from the owner of this shop named Lien. Lien's customer service was nice in the beginning, but her technique & skills were absolutely HORRIFIC!!! SHE CUT me 5 times, NEVER APOLOGIZED, plus SHE NEVER cleaned my nails after her job as well! SHE even told me that SHE was going to do my pedicure & wax as well & SHE NEVER DID!!! SHE had her workers do them for her, but they did an EXCELLENT job that was WAAAY BETTER than her by a long shot! Not only that, one of her workers did My GF's Gel Pedicure VERY HORRIBLY that the powder even chipped off within 24 hours!!! With that being said, her 2 workers that did my pedicure & wax were very friendly & very sweet as well! Per my recommendation for this nail salon, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this place due to my injuries & I want people to know to save their skin & their money too!!! NOT ONLY THAT, I even reported the business to the State Board of Cosmetology as well!!! read more

Wow, do not go to this place. The boss lady "Lien" didn't even listen to what I wanted--she just started applying what she thought was best. When I told her it wasn't the color or design I asked for, she said, "It'll look better later." But it didn't--at all. She also failed to mention there would be extra charges for additional layers, and in the end, I was charged $50 for a color I hated and nails that were honestly poor quality. Her attitude was very forceful and dismissive. She doesn't care to hear feedback or concerns from clients. The hygiene in the salon was terrible--nail dust and polish splatters were everywhere. * The place is sloppy and unsanitary * She over-shaved my nail bed and added extra layers without consent or final pricing * She doesn't listen to clients and just does whatever she wants * If you're unhappy and ask for help, she won't care at all I highly do not recommend this salon--not just because of the money, but because of how I was treated. I came for a manicure, not a medical evaluation and unsolicited body shaming Where do I even start? I came in for a dip powder manicure and a pedicure. Pretty straightforward, right? Well, apparently not. The only person working was the owner, and from the moment I sat down, things got... weird. She looked at my hands and immediately asked if I had eczema. I told her no, but she insisted I do, and that it explains "why my fingers look the way they do." I wasn't aware she had a dermatology degree hanging in the back, but okay, sure. I tried to brush it off. Then it got worse. She grabbed cuticle scissors and began removing what felt like an entire layer of skin from my fingers. I asked her why, and she again said it was because of my "eczema" and that "no other salon would do what I'm doing for you" as if removing my skin was a favor. Still, I stayed hopeful. I asked for short, square-shaped nails with a rounded edge, natural-looking and thin, not thick or bubbly. What I got was the exact opposite. The shape was off, they looked bulky and uneven, and the work was just plain sloppy (I have photos). And just when I thought I could leave quietly, she walked me to the back to wash my hands, casually tossed her leftover lunch in the trash... then asked how much I weigh. Yes, you read that right. She then told me I look like I'm "holding a lot of water weight," and reassured me that I'm not fat, because she weighs 104 lbs. I couldn't make this up if I tried. If all that wasn't bad enough, when I asked for my total, she said it was $55 plus $15 for, apparently, her generous service of removing a layer of my skin. A true bargain for unexpected dermatological work, right? I didn't come to a nail salon to be misdiagnosed, exfoliated into rawness, or body-shamed by someone tossing their lunch in a trash can mid-service. Bottom line: Please do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. read more

Right when they first opened I started coming for the top notch pedicure service they offer with extra massage which I was very happy after every visit. I recently got Gel-X fill set with manicure and I was super pleased (I showed them an IG photo that had a lot of details). I like that this place has nice furniture and a clean bathroom. A lovely elderly lady did my nails, and she was very meticulous. However, there was a hair stuck on my thumb. I hesitated to mention it because she was already fixing another finger due to a dust particle. It's disappointing to see the hair/string stuck on the nail. I want to start off by saying I really wanted to like this place, the staff is sweet and welcoming and my nail lady tried her best... unfortunately she may be extremely inexperienced as the final result was far from a finished product ... I'd also like to add this was my first time here, and I tried this place since my regular salon in the area was fully booked. I communicated several times I wanted a gel pedi with a pink clear base under the white tip, despite that she still tried to use a pale pink base until her manager helped correct her on this (I was optimistically hoping it was due to the language barrier). When she went in on the French smile lines, the lines were crooked and made my big toe nail look completely circular... her manager stepped in again to set an example to follow yet she was unable to replicate it. The tips she painted were thick, uneven and asymmetrical and in honesty pretty atrocious. After enough attempts I suggested to go with a solid color instead. She managed to paint over the nail beds in addition to curing gel polish onto the top of my foot. She also managed to finish with uncured gel polish all over her hands. Overall it was a pretty stressful event to witness and be a part of and I'll still need my toes done but I'm out for my time wasted and the cost of this service. I personally love supporting small local businesses and leaving positive reviews but this is a situation where I feel an honest review is needed for the technical quality of the work. My daughter who also got a gel pedi with me had a much more pleasant experience though and hers turned out much better. **update** my daughter's pedi is still in really good shape after a week. Lien is probably one of the best nail techs in this area. She is so detailed with her work and I am so happy that I found this nail salon! One of my nails broke and I wanted a quick fix so I called a salon near by- Lien's Nails and was able to schedule a same day appointment. Once I arrived, the ladies here got me situated into their spa chair and started my pedicure right away. The ladies here are friendly and professional at what they do. I went in for an appointment with my cousin. Walk ins are welcome as well. If you can't find parking on the street, there's a parking lot you can park in. Just follow the sign that says Lien's Nails. I love Lien! She is super nice and welcoming. She made us feel comfortable and made great small talk. She seemed happy and sincere. For the nails: I never gotten my nails done before so I didn't know what to expect. Lien has been doing nails for 20 years - so she has a lot of experience. It was so satisfying watching her work on my cuticles and snipping away my dead skin. I can tell that she carries a lot of pride in her work. For the color options, there's only two example books to browse through. Apparently she rotates them, adds new colors, and toss out the old ones. So at least we are getting new polish bottles. I love the way my nails turned out. She left a little bit of nail polish on the skin but I'm fine with that. It's better to have a more even coat than a skimpy one. Also, her hands are STRONG!! She massaged my hands in some sort of oil and that felt good! The cherry on top is Lien frying up some delicious egg rolls for us on the road!!! I never heard of a nail salon providing food before. Drinks, yes, which Lien does carry Vietnamese coffee and water, but never fresh food. She put taro inside the egg rolls!! That is some high quality and generous eggrolls. LOVE coming to Lien's!! Lien is always so friendly and welcoming. This is currently my go-to nail spot. I used to go to Pearl Nails down the street but it got way too crowded and packed. Vicky did my gel x manicure and she is amazing! She is so patient, gentle, and kind. You can tell she does her job with extreme care. As for my pedicure, I believe it was Melinda (or Belinda -- sorry!) who helped me. She was very sweet and did a great job as well. I want Lien to do my nails next time but she's always so busy! I went to Lien's Nails on 7/11/23 for the first time to kill some time before driving back home. I asked for a "gel pedicure with Barbie pink" and ended up with the color shown in the photo. Definitely NOT Barbie pink. I was skeptical but the owner kept telling me once I go outside the color is going to change to pink with the warm weather. I paid $60 including tip. The nail color NEVER CHANGED. I texted her and she said I can go back to get it fixed. When I returned 8/21/23, the owner was rude, raised her voice, and now said she couldn't do anything to fix the problem. It should have been a simple pedicure with one solid color. FAIL. My friend and I wanted to get manis together and we decided to give Lien's Nails a try. We called ahead of time to schedule an appointment and therefore didn't have to wait at all. We both got dip powder manicures and had a decent experience while we were there. The salon looked clean and the ladies were so nice. Once we left, my friend noticed that she had a few tiny cuts on her fingers. On the other hand, I noticed that my skin near my nails were stained. Fast forward two weeks later, two of my nails chipped and broke which has never happened to me before with other dip powder manicures :( To sum, I'm glad to have given Lien's Nails a try however I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I'm so incredibly disappointed with my experience today. Came back to Lien after a couple years since I was in the area, remembering that I had a great time during my last visit. First thing off the bat, I was told I can come in at 3:20, but when I came she was still working on her previous client. That is fine, but I proceeded to wait another 30 minutes in the salon. One point I really want to emphasize is PLEASE do not overbook if you do not have the capability to serve customers in a timely manner. This is one of my biggest concerns as a customer because if she had simply said that she was too busy and to tell me to come in at a later time, that would've solved everything. Me for not being annoyed with the wait time, and Lien for not feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I understand that it's business, but isn't customer retention equally as important? Isn't providing utmost service what should be prioritized here? Then, as I was getting my nails done, I can visibly tell Lien is getting stressed as more people are doing walk-ins. She starts to overly shave off my nails during the prep, and my nails got super weak, thin, and brittle. I felt really uncomfortable with the feeling, and told her to stop multiple times. She wouldn't stop, which was so concerning?? And said that this was what she was supposed to do. She said my previous gel was too hard and she must shave it off. This is what confused me, I am a customer and I'm telling her that it hurt. I didn't care if the gel was a bit thicker, it was causing me pain and discomfort! I was so so upset, because I previously had such a great experience with her. I knew and felt like she was rushing through the whole process, and even as she was painting the color, my nails were sooo thin and weak. Now, running through water my nails feel so brittle and they are incredibly bendable. I've had my nails done for years and this has never happened. I really did not appreciate how defensive she got, but this wasn't a matter of ego, I simply was expressing my dissatisfaction. I get my nails done ALL the time, so for her to discredit my feelings when I was speaking up felt so wrong. I am truly so disappointed and upset :( Lien I hope as you continue on with your business, please be confident that you can serve your customers with the utmost respect and diligence. Completely forgot I'd been here years ago. Happened to be shopping nearby with my Mom and we decided to get Mani/Pedis cuz it was her last day visiting me. The ladies who work at Lien's are sweethearts & Lien herself is awesome - my Mom decided this place would be her go to whenever she was visiting. Until she noticed her nails the day after - the nail polish didn't even last 24hrs. My gel manicure lasted a bit longer - 2 days My Mom was really upset having to fly home with chipped nails after I spent close to $200 + tip on our Mani/Pedi's. I showed up late I'll admit at 1:37- why there was no nail tech and one needed to be called and didn't show up for 43 minutes is beyond me. I NEEDED this appointment so I waited, the tech was new or sloppy I'm unsure. She got polish smeared on my toes, made it "seem" like she cleaned it but didn't, gave me a half-assed massage and left my polish oh so lumpy. The owner/manager who ever she was is very unwelcoming and rude, just telling me to wait and goes on her calls with no care in the world. After my service the manager takes a look says a bunch of things in her language to a friend of hers that showed up then adds another coat of polish and clear coat and sends me on my merry way. Found this nail salon on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It is located right on Valley and parking is in the back of the plaza. The place is nice and clean, seems like a new set up is happening. The ladies are very nice, but most important part is the cleanliness of nail salons for me. Tools are in sanitary bags, when they bring it out. They do offer waxing services and they seem to have a huge collection of dip powder nail colors. The beautiful nail photos don't lie and I am so happy I found a great affordable nail salon in my neighborhood. Lien (aka Long) has so much experience and took extra care and time on my difficult asymmetrical nails (my index fingers bend a bit at an angle and I have a bad nail biting problem, ooo anxiety) to get them just right. Frankly I am in awe at her attention to detail. Usually I am overwhelmed with the sheer number of color and brand choices for nail polish at a nail salon but Lien has it super easy with a few sample books to choose from that still provides many color choices. I got the baby blue/pink ombre powder manicure with bejeweled flower designs (I'm excited to try out new pretty designs in the future) and I love it (see photo, excuse the blurry photo, it doesn't truly capture the beauty of my nails)! She will work with you to ensure total satisfaction and I have not had one bad nail specialist since visiting. Everyone is professional and good at what they do. Well worth the money spent! (Side note: I seriously feel like a princess with my beautiful baby powder blue/tropical pink nails.) Also, I am super loyal to Cindy. She's been doing my nails for many years and the only person I trust with my nails. I have to make the move with her. When I walked into the salon, I was already greeted with a smile. It's a good decent size salon with about 8 + pedicure chairs. They have a good selection of nail colors. They offered different types of nails such as ombré, dipped powder nails gel x, and regular gel nails. I usually get regular gel because I like to change my colors very often. Prices are very reasonable, regular gel are about $30 a set . My nails and toes came out perfectly the way I wanted. I will definitely recommend Lien Nails to all my friends and family. read more
