My regular nail tech was not available and I desperately needed to get mine done, so I walked in this salon. I'd rather have gone with the cruddy nails I walked in with than what I Ieft with. I think the tech said her name was Judy. She was nice although she must've asked me if I wanted to get my eyebrows done - WHICH I had just gotten done perfectly somewhere else ( but I understand the upsell...) - 10 times . I met ming the nail technician and she did a wonderful job on my pedicure appt. . She fixed both my in grown toe nails I had a unhealthy nail and she advised me on a few remedies to get my nails back to looking healthy. Ming even had someone go to the store for me as I was enjoying a foot massage and grab me some fungus nail cream. That was very nice of her in all of the years I have gotten pedicures at other locations Ming is the only nail tech who advised on how to get my foot nails back to healthy . Thumbs up. I called Sunday morning and was able to be seen right away at 9 am when they opened. I got a basic manicure and pedicure. Paid $40 + tip. All the paint on my hands chipped the next day, and by two days I had to take them all off. I did not do anything extensive with my hands, so the paint should have lasted at least a week! read more

I was driving by and in desperate need to get my nails done, I called every other place nearby and they were all busy or had no appointments, my usual place was completely booked so I went into Angel nails, no other customers and only ONE worker... that should have been a red flag. The one worker started working on my nails and she didn't have a lamp that other salons had and I was in a hurry so I just said to file them down to match the only nail that I broke (she cut ALL my nails super short) and I told her not to do my cuticles cause I'm usually more sensitive than others and it hurts sometimes so she started out just pushing them (which was kinda rough but I'm a baby so whatever) but then she started by saying let me just cut a little so I let her.... tell me why she ended up cutting too much on one finger and it was stinging and THROBBING throughout the rest of the manicure. ALSO the price for a gel manicure is posted as $25 on yelp but as soon as you walk in they say $30 and I guess for more than 2 colors it's $35?! Forget that I was going to give her $30 with no tip. My finger was sore and throbbing for 48 hours. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. Also someone walked in and was like oh are you under new management? The only worker said yes please sit down, 2 minute, pick a color. I casually turned around and mouthed "leave now" and at first she stayed but then she left... LOL you are welcome. TERRIBLE SERVICE ! Very rude, very bad service. They had messed up my fiance's eyebrows, and her nails. My fiance is the nicest person, it was so wrong of them to mess her eyebrows up and nails she paid good money for, then they tried to blame her for not saying anything about them messing up her eyebrows and nails . She did say something the day this happend, with tears in her eyes she had gotten ignored the day of, we then called management to only be blamed for them messing up. She had went 2 days before our daughters baptism, and ended up having to feel uncomfortable, and having to draw in her eyebrows that she grew out specifically for this important life event. I was so happy to try Angel Nails because of their COVID modifications they've clearly worked so hard on! The tent is great and they follow great check ins, taking temperatures, names, numbers, and Covid related questionnaire. My first time there, I asked for a pedicure and was satisfied with the result. I returned for gel nails and told my friend about it too. My second experience along with my friends was unfortunately not a good one. The two ladies rushed and the paint job was not done well. I'm not sure why they rushed so much, no one else was there. I'm not one who likes to spend too much time at nail salons, so I'm not looking for a long time spent on my nails, but they rush way too much... to the point where I felt like my nails weren't going to last or look good. Sure enough, my gel nails peeled after 3 days and my friends regular polish pedicure was a mess. Sides are missing paint and there's a huge missing section of paint on the big toe. I still tried them another time and this time, the gel polish was not all the way up to the cuticle...there was a gap which made my gel nails look grown out. I asked for them to be painted up to the cuticles and the nail tech did that so I left happy. My friend just went and she also didn't have the gel polish painted up to the cuticles. I think Angel Nails has great potential, and I appreciate all they've done to provide us with a COVID safe nail salon to go to, but they need to spend more time on the details and pay more attention to the paint jobs. read more

I recently came here with my sister & my mom one day of the week. I received a gel manicure and a gel pedicure. My sister got the same thing. My mom received a regular manicure and a regular pedicure. I have never in my life received a gel pedicure, and a gel manicure, paid $80, just to have my manicure chip and peel six days later. Six days later???? I might as well received a regular manicure. I feel like I was robbed, I felt like they robbed my mom, all this money for a crappy service. This is under new management. The place looks clean. I had mani and pedi but it took 2 hours to get done. Towards the end, the nail polish on my big toe was not yet dry, the technical put back my flip flops and messes it up. They had to re do it. While cleaning my cuticles, I got cuts on both my fingers and toes. After the mani and pedi, I noticed that the top coat was not done nicely that I could see the unfinished border. This place is priced in the high side. With the service I received, I probably would not return. read more

I always request a gel manicure and spa pedicure, both services is $39 which I think it's really cheap. While I was waiting for my car to get done, I took the bus over to Chase, and afterwards wandered around Las Tunas Drive, and came across Angel Nails. They're right across from that European Asian furniture store. Tammy did my pedicure...though, another lady called her Kathy...either way...she did a fantasic job on my pedicure right before Chinese New Year. She painted my toes a glittery red color (very sparkly), and she was very careful and thorough, and she did a good job holding onto my toes while making the flower designs because my legs get shaky after sitting there for a while. What I even liked more what the nice lil foot massage she gave me - soft and relaxing, unlike other places that rubs hard and right on my veins, I would have opted for a longer foot massage, and an eyebrow wax and mani, but since I only had a few bucks left, I had to save the rest for my car payment. The staff there is very friendly, and talkative. Of course, being Vietnamese, it was nice having a conversation with her, Cindy and another lady - about Chinese New Year stuff, healthy skin tips, and funny family stories. I would definitely come back later on. Next time, I'll go for an eyebrow wax and mani. read more

I just moved to Alhambra and stumbled upon this spot. It's newly remodeled and very clean. The first time I walked in, I got an eyebrow wax and a regular pedicure done by Sarah. She did a great job with my waxing, toes and polish. The second time, I made an appointment & got dipping & a gel manicure cause I was complaining how my nails been breaking, Tommy assured me they wouldn't break or chip and regular pedicure. Tommy did my manicure & he did a great job as well. I wasn't too happy with the person who did my toes but Tommy went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. Anyway, I'm writing this yelp review because I recommended my mom to come here and she got a dipping manicure and regular pedicures done. 5 days later, she called me and said all of her nails chipped/ came off and she was upset. Since I got my dipping and gel manicure less than a week ago, my right thumb polish cracked and came right off. I paid $40 and it didn't last two weeks. See the picture I uploaded. Pro-- Lily does outstanding work. She takes her time and is very professional. I am always happy with the quality of her work. Whenever I get my nails done by her, my gel mani and pedi are VERY long lasting and look impeccable long-term, which is priceless and not always the case in other places. Con-- trying to make an appointment is sometimes a hassle. They DEFINITELY need a better appointment system. The gentleman in charge of appointments doesn't always answer and often sends calls to voicemail. Warning-- if you're a walk-in and they are working on someone else, they will tell you to come back in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this is not true. I've been on both ends-- once walking in after 30 minutes and having to wait an additional 20-30 minutes or getting a pedi/ mani and witnessing people waiting much, much longer than they've been told. Therefore, if you have a lot of time in your hands and plenty of time to spare or if you're actually able to get ahold of the gentleman who is in charge of booking appointments, this is the place for you. Otherwise, if you are busy and your time is limited, you may want to look elsewhere. I would give it a much higher rating, if being able to get services was a much easier, faster, and reliable process. The low rating is solely based on this aspect and not based on the quality of Liwork. So, I previously posted about their appointment practices. Even with appointments it's such a hassle. They do not honor them. After continuously made to wait 40+ minutes with an appointment, I've decided to drop this place. Completely unprofessional. This is the worst pedicure I've ever had. Me and My boyfriend paid 18$ each for pedicure and they didn't even completely cut off my boyfriend's nail. It was like less than 5'. They supposed to get to the edge of the nail and clean and cut it off. My boyfriend's nail still have dirt in his toe. They asked if we want spa or just regular pedicure, we said we want spa and all they did was rub some lotion on our feet, 5 seconds, done. Worst pedicure ever for that price.
