Nancy did a fantastic job on my nails. Location: this is located in the back of Jubilee Salon. Jubilee Salon is squeezed between two businesses. There were a couple of spots up front, but the lot is located behind the building which isn't accessible from Lake. You can cut through grocery store parking lot next door to get to Mentor to enter the lot. I had called to make an appointment, the day before. I arrived a few minutes early. I keep it simple when it comes to my nails. I want nothing more than a basic mani & pedi. I like the nail shape rounded (there have been times I have had to argue that I don't like square). In fact, I usually arrive with my nails already shaped, I just need them to clean it up. Nancy did exactly what I wanted and was meticulous. Perfect. Plus, she did my mani first to ensure that they were dry, prior to leaving. THANK YOU! This is one of my pet peeves with salons. Its been several days and my nails still look great. Nancy was friendly. Bonus, salon had reality shows to watch while getting my nails done. Nice! Found Nancy on Yelp. Called to schedule an appointment for a full new set of pink and white. I'm very picky about my pink and white so I reserve about going to someone new. Nancy was very prompt for my 5:30 appointment. She's very professional, super nice, and did an amazing job on my new set. They're thin and shaped exactly to what I asked. Her facility is clean and the stations are spaced so that I could sit comfortably. I made my next appointment in 2-1/2 weeks. I'm hoping that I've found my nail person....but only time will tell how my nails grow out. Keeping my fingers crossed that there isn't any lifting or cracking. Will update review in regards to this last paragraph...but in the meantime, LOVE the way they turned out! read more

I needed to find a new manicurist in Pasadena. I came across the yelp reviews for Nancy and Jenny. I'm very happy I decided to get them done at their nail salon. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, look no more. It is not like the other nail salons that are hustling and bustling...the gel manicure and pedicure are top notch! This is an exceptional salon! BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. No walk-ins means no pressure and no rushing, No one is constantly interrupting your appointment. I found this a refreshing change from most salons in the Pasadena area. If you appreciate attention to detail, cleanliness, timelines, quality, selection of color, surrounded in a peaceful environment this is a place you would enjoy. Nancy goes the extra mile and you feel pampered and cared for. Pricing isn't anymore expensive than anywhere else I've been. Nancy is worth it!! Nancy did the most perfect acrylic nails for me yesterday! It is truly the best set of acrylics I've ever gotten. She has been doing this for over 30 years and knows how to make them look natural, classic and flattering. Not only was the result perfection, but the experience was so lovely. She told me in length about her travels and inspired me to go on more adventures. She is such a warm and present person and her nail tech skills are unparalleled. Go to Nancy! read more

Funny. Personable. Great at what they do! Am committed to have Nancy as my one & only manicure guru... This is only my 2nd time going for a pedi & 1st for a mani (Nancy was out of town). Nancy (mani), Jenny (pedi/mani) & another pedicurist (sorry, don't remember name) all take pride in their work & are ALWAYS busy, so book at least a week in advance if want the full monty, whole shabang,....a mani/pedi. It's a quaint little spot with plenty of parking in my beautiful city of roses... Oh! Annd they have a girl, Susan, who does eyelashes in another room (seems very knowledgeable about her craft). I will definitely update about that experience, after my appt 7/15/17. Since I wear glasses and have sensitive dry eyes (maybe all of the cannabis, though great for eye pressure...lol), I'm anxious to know if the lashes will work out now.... but we shall see! read more

I'm new to the area and tried a couple of different nail salons before I found Nancy's salon inside of Jubilee Salon. I have had two appointments with Lily, and I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciate her! She is kind, meticulous, has a strong work ethic, and cares about getting my nails done perfectly to my liking. I don't need to look anywhere else - this is my new nail salon. I just got back from my 1st visit to Nancy. She's THE ONE I've been searching for! A manicurist in a comfy salon, who isn't located too far, someone with skills, pays attention to detail, gentle, and approachable! I came in with a need to try out a different shape and she accommodated. She gave me great advice and I felt I could trust her. She'll chat with you but when you're focused on reading a magazine or occupied with your phone, she'll continue doing her work. And I absolutely adore how she'll consistently check up with you if you are liking what she's doing. Her service is beyond any other Beverly Hills nail bar (laque, es nail), no need to book a month in advance or pay triple the price for a quality set of nails! As for my pedicure. Jenny did that and she is hands down the best pedicurist I've ever had. Oh my god that foot massage! And such detailing to her work as well. I've never had my toes nail beds cut before!!! Such a sweet lady and I love how she listens to me and makes my water super hot. Just the way I like it! This is the best place I found for mani- and pedi-!! There are just Nancy and I believe the other girl was Jenny. Nancy works on mani and Jenny works on pedi. They are sooooooo efficient!!! They have my gel mani and regular pedi done within an hour. the color stays great and the price is really good. Since they are so efficient, you;d better call to make appointment ahead of time. I don't think you can just walk in and get your work done without good luck! So plan ahead! My pedi was not fully dry by the time I left. So they gave me a pair of sandal for me to wear and wait till them dry. So considerate! I will come back. read more

I came here last week for a manicure/ pedicure with Nancy. Nancy did my manicure and was really gentle. I wasn't sure what to expect but she was really friendly and just the right amount of talk. I'm also really self conscious about my fingernails, cuticles and state of my cracked hands because I work at Starbucks. I can never paint my nails since it goes against food handling rules and the amount cleaning I do really dries out my hands. To top it off, I bite my nails a lot, but not once did she say anything about the state of my hands which I really appreciated. She complimented the color I picked for my nails and said they go well with my darker complexion which was also great because I started to worry the color wasn't going to look good. As for my pedicure, I don't remember her name, but she was so sweet. She was a little more chatty than Nancy but I didn't mind! She asked me about what I did, if I went to school, and what I was doing that weekend. She was also really gentle with my feet and gave a really relaxing calf massage. Again, I have a little scar high on my knee that I'm also self conscious about and I told her she didn't have to pull my trousers up to massage that leg and she completely respected my wishes. Overall, I had a really great experience here and would recommend first-timers or those who are nervous about manis/pedis to come here because the environment is really great! The only have two spa chairs and two manicure desks so try and call to make an appointment first! Also, parking is in the back so you have to go around. You can cut through ralph's parking lot and turn into their parking lot. Have fun! read more

Nancy has done my nails for over a year now and I'm so happy at this Yelp find! My favorite part about her is that she remembers what's going on in my life and we just chat away while she's doing my nails. The polish always lasts me 1.5-2 weeks, which in regular manicure world, is quite impressive. Also, she's very consistent with shape and cut. She'll remember that I like my nails short and square with rounded corners. If you haven't been, she takes clients by appointment only. She's a one-woman team most days, but the days she's really booked, she'll have an assistant help (usually doing pedicures). The nail salon part is located in the back of Jubilee. If you park in the back (where you should park), Nancy will be on the right side immediately after you walk in. I usually go for a mani ($15) every other week and a mani/pedi ($30) every month. The prices are so affordable that I don't feel guilty for treating myself to a 'me' day. read more

I found Nancy online via Yelp and she's great! Very clean, efficient, and detail oriented. I don't usually get my nails done and am picky about who I go to, and I had a great experience here. Nancy is so nice and sweet, it feels like Im talking to a friend. The only comment here is that I don't think she is aware that her LED curing light lamp is in fact UV. Nancy saved my nails after Burke Williams destroyed them ON my wedding day! I found myself sitting at the Coffee Bean, yelping furiously to find someone to clean up the mess. I found Nancy's amazing reviews, called her, and she squeezed me in during her lunch break!! AMAZING! There was a great selection of colors. I grabbed one off the wall, and she calmly and quickly removed the previous color and began to apply the new one. The thing that I loved about Nancy was how meticulous she was. She was so focused on doing the job right, it was amazing. She let me sit in the chair as long as I wanted to make sure my nails were actually fully dried before sending me off into the world. The funny thing is, Nancy charged me about a quarter of the price, and did a job that was 10 times better. Guess where I'm going for all of my nail needs in the future? Yup, Nancy!!! read more

Can't praise these two women enough. Both Nancy and Jenny do phenomenal, detailed and most importantly of all, GENTLE work. I can't tell you how many manicurists I've been to where they've cut me, buffed my cuticles raw, and afterwards when I remove the polish, I notice that they've broken my nails etc... Well not these two :) My nails always look and feel perfect after a visit to them. Also, they're very reasonably priced. A mani/pedi will cost you 30$ compared to other salons that charge 10$ more for much poorer quality work. I've found my manicurist(s) and I won't go anywhere else! *** Be sure to make an appointment! I am not from around here but my sister wanted us to get our nails done when I visited her so we called her on a Friday to make a Saturday afternoon appointment. I spoke with Nancy who was very nice and booked us for our appointment. We both got pedicures, gel mani for her, and acrylic for me. We started off with the pedicures and we were offered water, tea or wine. We had a great time chatting with our wine. My only complaint about my pedicure is i felt it was very short and kind of rushed. I wish more time and care had been taken but it was ok. All the ladies there were kind and patient while my sister kept changing her mind on colors lol Nancy was sweet and i love the time she took on my acrylics. It has been years since I've had acrylics and hers came out beautiful. I wish she was closer to me but every time I'm in town, I will pay her a visit. Ok so this review is over due I've been coming to Nancy and Jenny for about 1 yr. and I've always had a good experience I like the fact tht it's not typical nail salon I hate those and you get good work my gel last over 2 wks and my pedi is alway s good! There's one thing I don't like about the gel mani part Nancy likes to use the drill to take gel off and file nails she states the drill she uses is for natural nails but I think natural nails don't need a drill thts my only small nic with going to her now it's nothing I haven't said to her face I'm very, very particular on who does my nails and HOW they are done!! So I'm being honest b/c I like my review to be honest so other than the drill issue Nancy is pretty good and always tries to make you happy! If she would loose the drill for Naturals nails and find a more modern way of taking gel polish off she would get my 5 stars! read more

This review is difficult to write because I gave this salon multiple chances and truly wanted to support them as a Pasadena local, but what started as disappointment over birthday nails turned into concerns about sanitation, professionalism, pricing, and customer treatment. Please consider looking at the photos of my nails an hour after they were done. I initially overlooked things because there was one employee in particular who was very kind and I kept hoping my experience would improve. Unfortunately, after several visits, I began noticing issues that became impossible to ignore. I observed sanitation and maintenance concerns that made me uncomfortable, including openings in walls with exposed plumbing, tools appearing to be reused between clients without proper visible sanitization, and a communal nail brush in the bathroom that was later used during service. This raised hygiene concerns for me personally. My birthday appointment was the turning point. I specifically requested Serena. During removal, my nails chipped significantly and I felt the service was rushed. I requested nail strengthening treatment and a simple French tip, but the final result was thick and not what I had asked for. When I politely said I was unhappy with the outcome, the response immediately became uncomfortable. Cameras were repeatedly referenced even though I was simply discussing the result of my nails and not disputing what happened. I was told that whatever I chose next "better be right" because they did not want me returning unhappy later. The repeated references to surveillance felt unnecessary and unrelated to the issue I was trying to address. There were also concerns about pricing. The posted pricing showed removal and regular polish charges, however I was charged more than expected and left confused about the final total. The polish reportedly applied "free of charge" did not feel free when the overall bill had already increased. After payment there was little acknowledgment, no effort to resolve concerns, and the interaction felt abrupt. When my husband later tried to discuss the pricing and service concerns, the conversation escalated further. Cameras were referenced again, we were directed to contact the owner, a phone number provided was unreachable, and the situation became increasingly hostile rather than solution focused. At that point it stopped being about the money and became about customer treatment. I gave this place multiple chances because there were staff members I genuinely liked and wanted to support. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed, uncomfortable, and disappointed. I would encourage management to focus on professionalism, sanitation transparency, customer communication, and handling feedback without escalation. For those looking in Pasadena, I would personally recommend seeking a salon with clearer pricing, stronger customer service, and a cleaner environment.

Even though I personally stick with my girl Hanna, I constantly hear great things about the other nail techs as well. Parking-wise, there are a few curb spots right in front, but if those are taken, there's plenty of parking in the plaza next to Domino's, which makes it easy. Generally I don't write long reviews but I really believe this place deserves one. The owner - i am not sure her name - is very professional and kind. I came in on Sunday to get my nails done and by the next day they were a little chipped. I called and she was super sweet and told me to come in whenever I could. I came in and she literally spent an entire hour on my nails. AN ENTIRE HOUR! and as I was leaving I offered to pay her something additional because even though my nails probably should not have chipped in the first place she literally took extra time to fix them and gave me a massage while i waited for them to dry. I will 100% go back and really respect when a person knows how to run their own small business. Thank you! read more

I have been a regular for about two years. I find the shop environment clean, professional and relaxing. Hannah and Jenny do first class pedicures complete with soothing foot massage while the chairs knead away back and shoulder tension. Nancy takes care of my acrylic nails and gel manicure. Today I got a modified version of the green set. You can see the quality of work in the picture of my nails (pink set) I was charged 210 dollars for hard gel on my natural nails with the modified design. The reference picture has a diff design on every nail, I got the same 5 designs on both hands. She charged me 137 for the design. That is the most ridiculous price I've paid. She never mentioned it would be that expensive and I never imagined it would be anywhere close to that. It was partly my fault for not asking the price before we began but this quality of work is not worth over 200. A price like that is something you discuss with the client. I never would have agreed to get them done if I knew. I questioned her when she gave me the price and she mentioned it was 137 for the design because it was difficult and took 2 and a half hours. I appreciate that she did her best but to look at that work and think to charge someone 137 is insane, without even letting me know beforehand. I paid and even tipped 15 because I just try to avoid conflict but I am so upset and feel stupid for spending that much on a mediocre nail design. I would avoid this place for any kind of design. In response to the owner: No I'm not happy with the work. It looks nothing like the picture I showed. And it's worrisome that you as an owner think it's acceptable to charge 137 for a design (210 total) with work that looks like that.
