But if you're looking for a full service salon with spa pedicure chairs and the long counters where you can sit to dry the nail polish on your fingers and toes simultaneously, this is not the place. In fact, your feet get soaked in basins only, not in a jetted spa foot tub. My manicure was done by a young man who didn't clean the cuticles well, nor was skilled at applying polish. Daughter and I went to get our nails done. I called prior and explained what we wanted with the French tip and a design onto nails. I was told no problem they can do it so we went after to doing the nails when it came to the French tips we showed pictures prior and was assured they can do it, then we were told they couldn't do the French tip like my daughter wanted because maybe the other people use a pointed brush which they don't have then they try the design which was not hard and couldn't do that as well so my daughter said forget about the design less than 24 hours my daughters white tips were chipping off. I tried to call and explained the problem. I was told they can do French tips but only one style so I told her if you would've told us that on the phone or when we showed you the picture before you did Nels we could've went elsewhere, but they said they can do it. I went to Jackie Nails with my mom and we were both very unhappy with our nails. I had two people working on me. One was doing my pedicure, friendly with a fake laugh. The other working on my nails, so darn serious. Didn't even crack a smile. It's a much older place. They didn't have the spa pedicures available. They used a bucket or a small tub for it. I asked for callus removal, she rubbed my ankles and said "you don't need it"... umm... I'm sorry, I want it and willing to pay for it. What's it to you. Thanks for caring? jez! Anyway... I got the callus removal done. She did an okay job, but now time for a polish. I said, I want a flower. See picture below. Does that look like a flower? how messy is that? If you zoom in, yes it's a flower... but when I look at it from a distance, it's just scribble! I was not very happy with the way it looked, and I was questioning her as to why she put the same color dots on the white dots, you can barely see that it's a flower. She was nice and offered to change it. Not when I sat through all that, I don't have time for a change. This will have to do for now. 3 days later, the top coat from my nails started to peel. Stopped in here to kill a couple hours. The people are very friendly, no problems there. But the the polish on the gel manicure and pedicure I got looks like a job I did myself. Lots of pools of polish on my cuticles (fingers and toes) and my manicure looks pretty raggedy. Good price but I now understand why they're so inexpensive. read more

I was a little worried reading the other reviews but I'm glad I came anyway. The place is a no frills kinda thing. It wasn't nice or anything, but the ladies were super friendly. It also, unlike other asian salons, wasn't noisy at all. Jenny, who did my nails, was super nice and sweet! I definitely recommend her. She also did an amazing job with my nails. If you're looking for a cheap mani/pedi, this is definitely the place to go. If you want a place with nice chairs and a nice interior, this is not for you. I did regular mani/pedi and it only cost me $20+tips. Note: there is a $1 additional for credit cards so bring cash! This is definitely my new on-a-budget go-to nail salon. First, let me be clear on this point: My nails look at least as good as they have when I've had a manicure/pedicure anywhere else. I'm happy with the result. Also, without having had an appointment scheduled, I waited less than 10 minutes to be seated at a table. And another thing: I've never had a mani-pedi so affordable ($25, plus a $5 tip). If those are your priorities - they were mine - go to Jackie's Nails. Prepare yourself, though: Odd decor, discarded office chairs for awkward customer seating, kind of cramped, a multitasking manicurist interrupting your nails to check on or start with another customer, not the most attentive or thorough foot scrub.... You may - as I did - have to contort yourself as your white tips are applied by one person and a second person puts your feet in a bath at the side of the table. And yes, I got the guy, and yes, his interpersonal style is not normative. But he joked with me a bit and did a quite fine job with the manicure. I was wary of him, having read the reviews here. Really, though, he didn't bother me. Everyone was nice enough. For as inexpensive and generally inoffensive as this establishment is, I'd say it's worth trying. I'd go back. read more

Officially my new nail place! I had been searching for a new nail place because my old one was getting too expensive. So my cousins had told me about this place since i wanted to get acrylics done and decided to try it out. LOVED IT! The place is small and it looks runned down from the inside. From the outside it looks brand new! It has a very small parking lot right in front but the curbside offers plenty of room for parking. They are very friendly inside. Michael (who does the acrylics) did a fantastic job and i loved my nails. For me, when i get acrylics done, i am super picky. Not too thick not too thin, must all be filed down to the same length, must perfect all around, and with Michael i didn't have to tell him, "oh this nail is too long" "can you flatten this out" blah blah. He knew exactly what i wanted! This place is the first place that actually made me like my nails for once in my life. My hands were satisfied and my wallet was too! Only $22 including tip!! But he did a Really bad job this time . rushed through my nails didn't even clean under my nails , he couldn't do a half moon design he tried but The result was really funky so I had him take it off . he said my nails were too short . Originally, I had been coming to this place for years and had a semi-decent experience, the place did not have the best cooling and it certainly did not have the best customer service. I normally get my nails done by the man and he does do a decent job but one day I walked in and had my nails done by a different lady who I originally thought was the owner. She did an amazing job and I was amazed. But the next time I walked in I had asked the lady who asked me what I wanted that I would like my nails done by the same lady and I was bombarded with such a rude response by a different lady. She responded with "I am the owner and I get to choose who will do your nails." I am never going back again due to their rude and terrible service by who seemed to be the owner. read more

I was able to walk in on a Friday afternoon around 1:30 pm and wait just 5 minutes. The pedicure cost only $12 and Kelly did a great job. She was really sweet and called me by my first name. In fact, all the manicurists seemed to know their clients' names - there was a very neighborhood feel to the place. Spacious and comfortable for a "small salon." I was contemplating going to Dashing Diva for just a pedi or trying out this place and get a mani/pedi for just about the same price. Never has a stylist made me want to cry before. Wanted glitter tips from the guy. I guess he didn't understand me. And I guess he had to work a little harder for my nails than others because a few of my nails are affected with eczema. He started airbrushing my nails and I asked him why he's doing that because I wanted glitter tips. Mind you I get my acrylics done once every few years so I'm not too familiar. He started filing my nails again, and asked for payment. He just threw the money in his drawer very angrily and started to work on my nails again. At that point I just got a basic French. No lotion application. No taking a few minutes to really clean off the excess nail polish from my skin! He just shood me off to the UV light and added one more layer of topcoat. What a jerk. I've been a customer for Jackie's nails for years now but because of his attitude he just lost a customer forever. And I will never recommend this place any of my friends again. read more
