I am not from around here but my sister wanted us to get our nails done when I visited her so we called her on a Friday to make a Saturday afternoon appointment. I spoke with Nancy who was very nice and booked us for our appointment. We both got pedicures, gel mani for her, and acrylic for me. We started off with the pedicures and we were offered water, tea or wine. We had a great time chatting with our wine. My only complaint about my pedicure is i felt it was very short and kind of rushed. I wish more time and care had been taken but it was ok. All the ladies there were kind and patient while my sister kept changing her mind on colors lol Nancy was sweet and i love the time she took on my acrylics. It has been years since I've had acrylics and hers came out beautiful. I wish she was closer to me but every time I'm in town, I will pay her a visit. I have been looking and looking for the perfect manicurist! It is so hard to find someone who is really a perfectionist and cares. I am so happy with Nancy! She has such a gentle touch and is super light with the drill. My nails don't hurt after leaving her (which can't be said for everyone!) I have acrylic nails and they look so natural. They are thin and shaped perfectly. The environment is very pleasant (not the big, hussling shop you may be used to) and much more relaxing. Nancy was so nice and did a great job on my nails. I don't usually get regular manicures (I either do gel or do normal polish at home) because it chips off so fast. My nails look like they are gel and they haven't chipped at all! Price was great, location is easy to find (with a parking lot), and the ladies were very friendly. I came to have my acrylic soaked off and a pedicure because I REALLY needed my toe nails cut down! I had to make an appointment for them to be soaked off and after visiting I understand why, these ladies rent booth space inside of Jubilee Salon & Spa so seating is limited. I'm grateful to have gotten in so late in the afternoon. My nails were soaked off with a chemical used to take off gel (not acetone) and it really burned my skin. The lady who took off my acrylic didn't take it off all the way instead she just thinned it down. I told them I didn't like it and that is why I'm giving four stars. In total I paid $30 to have my acrylic thinly files and my toes done and that's not including the tip. The ladies are friendly, service is fast but the accuracy of a soak off is wrong. read more

For this looking for a COVID enforced environment, she's definitely your new nail lady, her area is very clean and it's only you and her during your whole appointment. Ugh! I was hoping to really like this place. I've been coming here for the last 9 months but this was my final straw. I had my nails done three days ago and look at the pictures! Horrible job! How could you let your client leave with nails looking like this? What I am most annoyed at is how Nancy nickel and dimes you. I had gel polish over my acrylics before but wanted to save some money this time around and only do regular polish over my acrylics. So she charges me $5 to remove the gel polish! Then another $1 to fix a broken nail. Seriously? I could see if this was my 1st, 2nd of 3rd time coming but I've been coming for quite awhile. So I wound up not saving much at all by not getting gels. The pedicures are not good, either. The nail polish has chipped off my every. single. time until I started bringing my own polish and base coat. I have seen people joke about how tie nail polish is supposed to survive through a zombie apocalypse because it is so hard to get off. Well, not here! Unbelievable. I wish I hadn't tipped this time since I'm never going back. And considering how much I pay, nancy is very rude and unfriendly. I have been going to Nancy regularly for about two years and I would not go anywhere else! Nancy's manicures are impeccable and she is excellent with gel and acrylic (or a combination of the two). If you bring in a color that you like that doesn't come in gel or acrylic, she can find a way to match it with a combination of her gel/acrylic colors at her salon. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of her work. My nails never look too thick and her work never, ever chips or fades. She can do any nail shape and she always remembers what each client likes and doesn't like. I see her every two weeks because I like my mani/pedi to look ultra fresh, but I know that many of her clients go every three to four weeks with no problems. Another perk is that she responds to your text or call right away and is almost always right on schedule. She really respects your time, which I appreciate. If she is running late, she will let you know in advance - and she always confirms your appointment a day in advance. Jenny and Hannah are excellent as well. They do manicures and pedicures and their work is meticulous. They pay extra attention to resolving any issues you may have with your feet (ingrown nails, etc.) and really take their time with their clients. I also love their pedicure chairs. Very comfy. It's been some time since I've been anywhere else, but I think their prices are perfectly reasonable. I don't think they are any pricier than average, and I'd pay more for them anyway :) I've been all over the Pasadena over the years, hoping to find an excellent nail salon. It's really inconvenient, among other things, to go somewhere where the workmanship and service is inconsistent. I never have to worry about that with Nancy, Jenny and Hannah. I walked into my appointment one morning, and Nancy and the other nail tech either stared blankly or ignored me. How awkward--no greeting at all. I told them I had an appointment, so then I was told to pick out colors. I was taking a few minutes to decide on the colors, and Nancy was a bit huffy and tried to hurry me along. I thought that was the point of an appointment though--so I'd have time set aside so I could relax? Doesn't seem to be the case here though (looks like Leesa Y. had a similar experience). Her demeanor made me pretty flustered; she could have been a lot nicer in her approach. Moreover, she kept picking up the phone during my appointment and the subsequent client's time slot as well. It's a definite plus that she's gentle, but you probably won't get her undivided attention. A receptionist would be a great idea since a new call seemed to come in every 5-10 minutes. The other technician was very quiet, and I was glad she wasn't throwing off the major impatient vibes like Nancy was in the beginning. She didn't understand when I told her I'm allergic to the latex in the gloves she was about to use, but most nail techs in the area don't seem to, so whatever. Some pluses are that the salon is clean, nicely decorated, and they have a great selection of colors (lots of OPI). But personally, I won't be back because there could improvement in how they treat their clientele. read more

Like many others I was looking for a new nail salon and found Nancy on Yelp. With all the amazing reviews I knew I had to go to Nancy, and I am so glad I did! The night before my appointment I broke 2 nails, one really low, but I left them alone. Nancy sealed and fixed the low tear so you could not even tell it was there, and did an awesome job shaping all my nails to look good together without having to go to the shortest length. She spent time carefully doing my gel manicure and even added an extra coat because the polish was a little transparent. My gels lasted 3 weeks before they started chipping, and even then it was minor. I gained a lot of respect for Nancy when she told me not to do gels too often because they can weaken and damage your nails. Most salons would encourage you to come back right away so they could do a new set (and make more money). My only minor complaint was that the pedicure (done by the other woman) could have been a little more robust, especially on the rough skin on my heels. Overall a great experience and I will definitely go back! read more

And I was so excited to finally come try it out!! Just like the other reviewers said...it's very peaceful in there and you do feel exclusive because you need an appt. It's very cozy and quaint. I walked in and although there aren't many polish colors, they are really trendy/ pretty!! I couldn't decide!! I got my spa pedicure done by Lily I think her name was. She was very gentle but not thorough. It wasn't super fast but it just wasn't how I like it (really putting in the effort when taking off cuticle and callous scrub). She didn't give a lot of pressure on my foot massage neither. It was just a rubbing motion. My polish came out really nice though. It was my first time here and I did not know that Nancy does not do designs. But I begged her to do this one simple design for my bachlorette party and she did agree but warned me she's not good at all. I told her its okay, I'm not picky, I promise! But I did end up fixing the design myself. And it actually turned out cute and I really appreciated her efforts. She told me not to post the pic, so I won't out of respect. After I left, I found uneven polish lines by my cuticle. Ugh!! Overall, I'm happy I finally got to try this place out. Nancy did a fantastic job with my manicure and pedicure. My manicure lasted over 2 weeks!!! This was with regular polish and not gel or gelish polish. The polish was still looking ok when I took them off, but I had to remove it since my nails were growing out and too much nailbed was showing. I visited Nancy for the first time for a Valentine's Day themed manicure. My nails turned out super cute and the color has lasted well over a week now! I brought in my own rhinestones to apply to my nails, and Nancy even drew in a small heart on my ring finger to compliment it. Nancy is really sweet with just the right amount of chatting during the process. She also has a great selection of high quality nail polish and colors.
