Croissant is quite greasy Line goes quickly, they have a variety of pastries that are fun to try
I was intrigued by the concept of a Bahraini American bakery, so librae was a must visit on a recent nyc trip. Located around copper square the bakery has lots of light and a few tables (that fill up quickly). The menu options are very unique. I got the rose pistachios croissant which was delicious and perfect in its baked execution, the saffron cookie a very interesting chewy cookie with sesame and saffron, and a coffee. Service is quick. I'd like to come back to try more options!
One of my bakeries to hit on my list because what stood out was the pistachio rose croissant. That was my main reason for coming here.. I was dreaming of eating one lol Pistachio and rose combo, why not ? Two of my faves. The croissant was large, and we shared it amongst the two of us. It was halved and contained a generous amount of pistachio filling. The top had a drizzle of pistachio frosting and a few hints of rose petals. That's as far as the rose flavor went, very minimal. Also, decided to try their carrot cake scone. It was very dense, dry, and had an odd spice flavor. I didn't care for this one too much unfortunately. Friendly service, plenty of indoor seating, interesting unique bakery, little pricey.
The pistachio flavor was so good, and the croissant was super soft and flaky. The bread pudding was also amazing. No seats available inside or outside at 1ish on Sunday, so we just ate quickly near the bar area, but even that place was crowded with people waiting to pick up coffee.
I like to judge how good a place is based on their most basic item. In this case, it is the classic croissant. So I've been to Paris, I've tried the croissants over there. I have tried many croissants in my lifetime. However, this comes right next to the croissants I had in Paris. This was probably the second best croissant I ever had in my entire life. Maybe it was the time of day that I had it, maybe I just got lucky. I like a good, flaky, buttery croissant, a croissant where you can taste the butter. This croissant slapped. It was so buttery that the bottom part of the croissant caramelized a little and it was crunchy. It was also gigantic. I could not finish it in one sitting. When I bit into it, the top layer of the croissant flaked off and kept its shape as it lifted off the body. I was able to peel it off like it was a sheet of paper and continued to eat the croissant like that until I got to the delicious buttery core. It's been weeks since I had this croissant and I'm still thinking about it.
I came to this bakery pretty late in the day, so maybe my review is not a fair evaluation of what the experience could be. When I got there, the options were extremely limited. They did have the famous pistachio rose croissant. The presentation was beautiful! But I found the pistachio taste to be fairly bland and the croissant was bleeding butter/oil everywhere, which overshadowed the experience. I personally love rose flavor, and I did not feel like it came through strongly in the dessert. Lots of space and seating on the inside!
Another trendy bakery, another place that doesn't necessarily live up to the hype. Librae does have quite an eclectic assortment of pastries, think halva croissants, tahini chocolate chip cookies, savory breads and sandwiches amongst their assortment. Surprisingly when I went, there was barely a line, and figured a pistachio rose croissant was in order. Service was quick and efficient and walked out there fast. The croissant itself is quite huge. Plenty of sugary pistachios filled inside and on top. Not a lot of rose flavor sadly. But pistachio lovers will get a kick out of it. The croissant itself was almost candied, it had a very crisp, sugar lacquered exterior. But my gosh, it was so oily. Like I don't know if it was the nuts or the croissant, but a thin sheen of oil was prevalent on my hands while eating. Overall, I do think it's worth a visit if you don't wait in line. But just remember to bring napkins. And sanitizer. Because you'll be wiping your hands a bit!
Blending middle eastern tastes with French pastry, Librae Bakery serves up some creative baked goods! They have a lot of savory options as well with baked goods as well as sandwiches. But after two visits, I can say I'm happy I tried their goodies but I probably won't be returning unless a friend wants to go (or for the halva croissant on the weekends!). While expecting strong flavors based on the descriptions, I feel like the flavors are on the subtle side. - tahini chocolate chip cookie (4/5): a good cookie, with a little chew and lots of puddles of chocolate. I'd probably like it more chilled for a better chew but the flavor was nice-- not super nutty or pronounced on the tahini but the chocolate was nice. - pistachio rose chocolate croissant (3/5): their most viral bake was beautiful on presentation but surprisingly muted in flavor in comparison with how much syrup/oil was dripping off of it. Glad that it didn't taste like rose, but the pistachio part wasn't sweet. Probably great with a drink, but not a very indulgent treat by itself. - halva croissant (5/5): super sweet, creamy, and nutty! Only available on the weekends, and it's a hefty one. Might be a little sweet for most but it was a neat twist on an almond croissant. - espresso pain au chocolate (3/5): tempted by the allure of espresso, this one fell flat since I was expecting a stronger coffee flavor, and it was actually really subtle... had to imagine it, but it was an solid chocolate croissant. - honey cardamom bun (3/5): beautiful and large, but the bread was quite dry. It is plain and simple with cream inside, one to share with friends. I couldn't discern any cardamom :( Haven't tried the savory offerings, but this could be a spot that caters to the whole group easily with such a varied menu. The service was super friendly despite it being so busy both times I visited. There is a self serve water station + seating inside but it's usually full, so there's extra tables + a bench outside.
I'd had this spot on my list for a little while now and it was nice to finally check it out - it was great! The Pistachio Rose Croissant is one of their signature items and I can see why - a perfect croissant with very good servings of pistachios in every bite, while also tasting the subtle flavor of rose. The Tahini Chocolate Chip was a nice surprise with its soft texture, deep dark chocolate chips and the earthy tahini on top that actually works. They had a special Malted Hot Chocolate, which was phenomenal - so good, with very rich, thick and creamy chocolate accented with malt, which added some unique depth. The place is cute and slightly small, so expect take your baked goods elsewhere during popular times.
I have been craving an amazing viennoiserie so if anyone has recs in the city (not BK) plz lmk. I only got the chocolate espresso croissant bc I didn't wanna be obese and because the options didn't really look all that enticing. Normally when I walk into a bakery I walk out w like 3-5 pastries but here, none of them really inspired me. As far as the chocolate croissant I did really enjoy the flavor and the flakiness of the pastry. It was also chocolate heavy but not too sweet. Idk if I will go back but probs not. Still on the hunt for smthing like the Fondry in LA
With a line out the door, this definitely warrants a try. The smell exuding from this place is tremendous. The atmosphere is inviting and the line out the door sealed my fate. That's where the glazing stops. I ordered the Rose Pistachio Croissant and Dirty Chai Sticky Bun, which looked wonderful. The prices for each item are definitely not cheap. At almost $10 a piece, this had better knock my socks off. It is definitely overrated. Pause. It is definitely good, but for the wait and price I endured, it wasn't mind-blowing. The texture of the croissant is average. It is crunchy outside but not as fluffy as I'd imagined inside. Perhaps that is intentional? The sticky buns were sticky, but the bun was too much. The uneven balance left me desiring more of the glazing per bite, which ruined the experience. At least it's not overly sweet. Just ok for me.
Confounded by how bland the tahini chocolate chip cookie is. That's kinda all I have to say. I kept eating it, desperately searching for flavor, and literally scratching my head trying to understand how this is what such a hyped bakery is presenting us with...texture=cakey, flavor=unroasted sesame, depth=none to be found, heart + soul=empty.
Oh my GOD the Smoked Salmon Sandwich is to die for. That's it. That's the review. Go here. Get it. Enjoy it. And go back for more. Also - the pastries are insane and the croissants and Babkas are WOAH. 10/10.
Photos over 5 months worth of multiple visits at the most innovative bakery with Bahraini roots. Every time I visit Librae, I go all out because this place is a treasure in New York. If I'm ever in the Noho/NYU area, I always make an excuse to come grab goodies here. Staff here are kind, will always answer all your questions about favorites, when items come out, etc. Despite the long (and well-deserved) line, they never rush you to make your order. In my time knowing and loving Librae, I've had the espresso pain âu chocolat, halva croissant, foccacia, kouign amann squiggle, tomato danish, egg sando, croissant sando, and salmon sando. Everything here is just phenomenal tasting and superbly made. Dine in at the roomy cafe indoors or outdoors. Or take it to go. Either way, you're belly will be happy. Extremely happy that you decided to nourish it with Librae. read more
I first went in May 2023 and returned August 2024. The first time I was able to try to their Jerusalem bread (Ka'ak Al-Quds) and it was perfect with labne :) I can't remember which latte I tried but I enjoyed it. This time around I brought my niece in for some pastries. They happened to still have some croissants that still tasted fresh and fluffy to her with perfect flakes. always a nice place to visit. read more
Tried both the pistachio rose croissant and the espresso chocolate croissant and both were yummy, however I enjoyed the chocolate croissant more. For me, the pistachio flavor was overpowering the croissant. Both were very buttery. I also ordered a latte and it was good. Overall the inside is very cozy with a few tables and a little seating nook. Service is quick as well! read more
Librae was on my list for places to go during my trip to New York and it was well worth the visit! Located in the East Village, Librae is chic while producing classically delicious pastries and breads. We tried a seasonal blueberry pastry and butter croissant. I expected the blueberry pastry to be sweet but it pleasantly was not. With a rich, almost cheesecake-like bottom, crispy top, and blueberries, there was a perfect balance of sweet and rich. The butter croissant may seem boring, but Librae does it right. The croissant was flaky, fresh, and had a perfect lamination. Pair your choice with any coffee and you have a morning treat. Next time, I will be sure to try a tahini chocolate chip cookie! read more
~ Pistachio rose croissant ~ I love everything pistachio, so as soon as I caught wind of this place I came straight away. The shop is always buzzing with people, but they always seem to have enough supply of croissants, which is great, you don't have to leave empty handed!! The croissant is rich and flaky, filled with and topped with a generous amount of lightly rose scented pistachio paste with lots of pistachio crunches. I love the addition of rose, the floral flavour compliments the nuttiness really well and transform it into an elegant treat. It is very rich, on the sweeter side and quite greasy (the oil leaked through 2 layers of paper lol), so it gets quite heavy towards the end. Will I be back? Yes I tried frenchette, who also do an amazing pistachio croissant, their croissant is less greasy, the pistachio paste is less sweet and have a stronger nuttiness flavour from the roasted pistachios. I actually prefer the way frenchette do their pistachio, but they are lacking the rose scent, which is why I'll still come back to Librae!! And I want to come back to try more of their other bakes! read more

I can't wait to come back to this place. I got the focaccia, rose pistachio croissant, and halva chocolate croissant. I prefer sweets over savory things, but that focaccia was soooo good. From what I can tell, it seems like the focaccia flavors vary day to day. The day I went they had a shakshuka-type focaccia and one with feta and pickled onions. I opted for the latter and I didn't expect the piece to be so big! The focaccia itself was so fluffy and crispy and I really enjoyed the egg in the middle of it. In general, the croissants were so perfect and flaky. The pistachio was delicious but the filling was a bit too heavy for me. The halva chocolate was way too sweet and overwhelmed the croissant in my opinion. That being said, I'd come back just for the focaccia and to try their other pastries. read more

Finally got my hands on the famous pistachio rose croissant -love the top shell bc its super crispy, flaky, buttery with a nice dose of nutty pistachios for the cronch to each bite. the bottom half is drenched in rose syrup and the filling was good too but pastry itself is very heavy and the grease WILL coat your stomach after a few bites (anyway prob wasnt a good idea to finish the whole thing myself) Iced matcha latte 6/10 this was a huge let down matcha was very watery you could barely taste it i think its worth trying once if youre in NYC you may love it more than i did but definitely get there early as lines do form! Theres a few tables inside as well as limited outdoor seating so be prepared to wait a bit until something opens up. read more

The pistachio rose croissant - just wow! I had breakfast nearby and still came by here because I didn't want to make the schlep downtown - I will next time for the croissant! Bottom is a bit too oily but the flavor is insane. Definitely worth it! read more
holy croissant. usually when croissants have sit for a while, they become stale and dry, but this was absolutely not the case here. this pistachio croissant was so soft, a little bit too oily on the bottom, but was just the perfect amount of sweetness. I was surprised by the $9 price point, but I had been meaning to try it for a while now. I also wasn't able to finish it, so it's definitely huge and you can take it to go for later. the place itself is pretty spacious and bright. a lot of people had their laptops out, and the music wasn't too loud. workers were very quick to serve you. all around, cute cafe to sit at or grab something to go. read more
I have been on a hunt for the best croissant in NYC and I highly recommend this place. Plain Croissant - What makes a good croissant in my books is a crunchy exterior enveloping an airy buttery interior. This croissant is perfect. If it was warm, it would have been more amazing. Pistachio Rose Croissant - I am not usually a fan of flavored croissants, but I wanted to see what the fuss was about. The rose flavor does not feel overpowering but rather compliment the pistachio filling quite well. This was quite well-balanced in flavors. Croissant Sando - Simple pairing of creaminess from the soft-boiled egg with tanginess from the cheese and a bit of freshness from the greens sitting crozy between a perfect croissant The queue tends to be long on the weekends. Space is small, so seating is limited. You may need to wait around for a table to free up. The pastry here is definitely worth the visit. read more
Finally I found Librae Bakery and chose a Flourless Chocolate Chip Cookie. I am eating it as I write this review. It's buttery with a meltingly soft chocolate inside. It would pair ideally with vanilla ice cream. This bakery has a modern industrial style interior with a vast kitchen in the back. I saw the famous Pistachio Rose Croissants at the princely sum of $8 but in the late afternoon I wasn't sure of when they were made and laminated dough deflates fast. Service was friendly and there were a few customers inside. I plan to return for the croissant. read more

TLDR: new favorite bakery in nyc? Deserves all the hype. I've seen Librae reviews raving about how good it is on practically all social media platforms and I genuinely believe it deserves all the attention. Everything I had was perfectly executed; croissants with great open structure and flavor, great textures, and novel flavor combos I have not seen before (at least in pastry). I'm a huge fan of bread and pastry so I went overboard and tried more than I could handle. My favorites were the pretzel bagel with cheese, the black and white halwa croissant (although it does get messy so be prepared) and of course, the famous pistachio rose croissant. We got the pistachio croissant warm out the oven and it was crisp, ooey gooey, and so delicious. Both the pistachio and the halwa are quite caloric dense so if you're a normal person, unlike me, just get one! Also got the seasonal coffee - it was a tahini and cardamom latte with oat milk. I couldn't really taste the tahini but I quite enjoyed the cardamom. However, I didn't really enjoy the cardamom bits on the bottom. 8/10 Space was pretty small, so if you're trying to sit and enjoys your pastries try to come with someone who could stand by and wait for a place to sit while you're in line. The staff were all quite friendly and welcoming and there's always someone going around asking how you're doing and cleaning. Overall: I think this might be my new favorite bakery in NYC! If this were closer to me, I'd pick up a cheese pretzel bagel before my morning commute. Great vibes. 10/10 read more
I don't know what's not to love at this (relatively) new Bahraini bakery in the East Village. I was honestly overwhelmed by the array of choices upon stepping in, although thankfully the lines have calmed down a bit from when they first opened, so I was able to thoughtfully examine the offerings before honing in on a few items. The best items we tried were the feta dill scone, which had the texture and flavor profile of a Turkish poğaça; the Jerusalem bagel, a skinnier but equally lengthy cousin of the ka'ak, which is one of my favorite Middle Eastern bread items; and the lemon curd babka. Well, I guess that was pretty much everything we tried to be honest. read more

Soooo it's def good, but i think overhyped. If u go i rec the focaccia-- it is springy, sour, flavorful, fluffy- a delight. The pistachio rose croissant which i have heard sm lauding abt on tik tok (claims of best croissant in ny???) i unfortunately cannot corroborate, i just found it to be tooo greasy from the feeling and crispy and not that light - fluffy - crunch balance i look for in a good croissant. Keep in mind im prob biased bc im not a huge rose flavor fan (i am however obsessed w pistachios). Not bad or anything, just not for me and dont think id order again. The bun was quite nice and on the sweet side but w a good fluffy texture, and a lovely mango brushed center. I think u can 100% skip the coffee program... esp the milk based drinks read more

this place lived up to the hype for me! got the pistachio rose croissant and it was delightful. the rose was light and not overpowering whatsoever. I also go the dill feta scone which was very tasty though reminded me more of a harder biscuit than scone. the only negative is the line area is a bit small, it's hard to see what's available and plan you order before you're attended to. there is also minimal seating inside a bit cramped. read more
Sun filled cafe with amazing pastries! Love stopping here to get some work done while grabbing one of their various pastries. The bakery is super chill and usually is packed as it is right across the street from NYU. This bakery is definitely more on the expensive side. The drinks are just okay. read more

The breadth of cuisines on offer in New York has not included a Bahrani female owned bakery, until now! Enter Librae, where pastry lovers can sink their teeth into the likes of pistachio rose croissants, blueberry earl grey scones, espresso pain au chocolat, and peach almond danishes. I was lucky to visit on a quiet Saturday morning when their pastry case was still full and I could easily grab a table to chow down at. Based on the two things I tried, I believe you can't go wrong here. The shakshuka bread was a memorable bite, with olives, tomato, and an egg baked into what was highly fermented and flavorful bread. Similarly the bread in the asparagus and ricotta loaf was springy and had a nice crusty char on the outside. They tout featuring Middle Eastern flavors while using fermentation techniques from Copenhagen. I didn't realize Copenhagen had noteworthy fermentation techniques but if that's where the flavor I'm tasting comes from then consider me a fan. read more
The staff were friendly. There was a good amount of seating inside and even some outside. I enjoyed the decor and how the inside was set up. We got an iced sea salt mocha, an iced latte with oat milk and cardamom syrup, and the rose pistachio croissant. As for the drinks, they were okay. They were solid espresso drinks, but nothing amazing. I felt like the sea salt mocha was lacking the sea salt flavor, but either way it still was good. The cardamom syrup was a fun flavor and complimented the latte well. The drinks came in 10oz cups, which I thought was pretty small compared to sizes offered at other places for the same price. As for the rose pistachio croissant, it was absolutely scrumptious. We were hesitant to get it since it was $8.50, but I'm so glad we ended up going for it. It was wonderfully flavored and had such a nice texture. I liked the pistachio flavor and I think they did really well with it. If you come by here, I definitely recommend trying out the rose pistachio croissant. read more

Ding, ding! We've got a 5 star! Y'all know I'm tight with stars but Librae- you get them! Even with the rude girlie who took our order. We waited outside since we were early for opening. We waited a few minutes longer than opening time (idk, maybe that's NY? I'm not from here). We ordered a feta/dill biscuit, a pistachio/rose croissant and one more but I didn't get the name. It came recommended by someone behind the counter when I asked what she would get. Both pastries were fire. Stinkin delicious. Biscuit was good. Lattes with cardamom syrup (made in house): fire. This is a yes, def. Two word review: yes, def. read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. WOW just wow this place kind of blew my mind. Everything behind the counter looked absolutely beautiful and insane it was so hard on what to get. The loomi babka bun is up there as one of my favorite pastries I have ever had in my entire life. I constantly think about this bun as I have found myself craving it on a weekend. The ambiance is so heartwarming and makes you feel good when you walk in and the workers are all incredibly sweet. This place is a must! read more
Finally made it past the crowded lines and got to try Librae! Their Mediterranean influence reminds me of Tatte but definitely still has their own flavors. The chocolate halva croissant was near perfection!! The gooey halva with the sesame along with the melted chocolate served as great contrast to the buttery and flaky crossiant! The chocolate was a little too sweet for me (cause the halva was already sweet) so if it was darker, it would be even better for me. The pistachio croissant is another highlight!! The rose saffron flavors are subtle but accompanies every bite of the crunchy croissant packed with pistachio filling. Pistachio flavors were authentic, strong, and not too sweet. Consistency was good too for a pastry filling. Both croissants were better than expected. For drinks, their espresso is very solid. The tahini latte had a solid sesame flavor that paired very well with the coffee and milk. It almost added a savoriness to the drink. The store itself is very cute and minimalistic; however there aren't a lot of seating options indoors. Some outdoor benches and stands available. Staff were polite. Drinks came out pretty quick. Can't wait to try out other menu items!! read more

All the bakery items and pastries here are so pretty, I loved browsing all the options. After eating pistachio croissants almost every day on my trip in Italy, I've been on the search for an equally as good pistachio croissant here. I personally don't think this was worth the ~$9 it cost. I liked how they added big pieces of pistachio to the cream and the rose was a nice touch, but the croissant itself was a bit hard and burnt. It felt dry and didn't have the nice softness of a croissant when you bite into it. Overall it was still decent, but not something I think is worth trying again given the price. read more

One of my favorite things about living in the EV is having access to so many great bakeries and coffee shops. Among the ones I've tried, Librae Bakery has been one of the bakeries I go to time and time again because of their mouth watering and unique selection of baked goods. I'm a sucker for their croissants but you truly cannot go wrong with any of their pastries. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the line moves quickly - even during the weekends. Can't wait to go back and try more pastries! read more
A friend and I met up here for coffee one a snowy Tuesday early afternoon and I'm glad we did. I had the Spinach and Artichoke danish and it was delicious. It was light and flakey and savory and it was so satisfying. I also ordered the sea salt mocha and it was just what I needed on a cold wet and snowy day. The barista is just the sweetest person. We had a short conversation about her latte art and her experience being a coffee barista. It's nice to actually be able to have a conversation with someone compared to the usually New York City attitude. The cafe was modern but cozy. It was also fairly spacious. I love that they didn't try to squeeze 100 tables into the space so everyone was a comfortable distance away from everyone else. I highly recommend read more
This place is not cheap but given it's popularity, constant place on lists of best bakeries in the city, and the inflation that's hit the Little Treat economy these days I wasn't surprised. There is some seating inside, a few tables outside, and a park nearby. The staff are friendly and you can see into the back where they are baking. We went on a weekday around noon and while they were out of some things it seemed like they were refreshing the bakery counter so I'm assuming there are multiple opportunities throughout the day to get what you want and have it fresh. The focaccia was delicious and pretty filling. I'd come back to try more pastries. read more

This is by far my favorite bakery in New York. And I've been to many in the last 1.5 years. The flakiness and butteriness of their laminated pastries is outstanding. Pistachio filling on their croissant is the best I've ever had. Feta dill scone is a scone I can eat over and over again. The drinks are also awesome. Love the regular coffee, flavored coffees, seasonal sodas, and the INSANE malted hot chocolate. It's the only hot chocolate my partner doesn't have to finish for me. Not too sweet and so much malty flavor. I love how consistent the pastries are here and will return time and time again :) read more

Been hearing great things about this bakery so I finally dropped by today. On a Saturday morning around 10am, the line was almost out the door. The interior is beautiful and cozy, but not a lot of seating space so I ended up getting mine to go. Their famous pistachios rose croissant was excellent and definitely my favorite, but I can see how it could be a little heavy for certain people. Loomi babka is a close second. It's soft, lemony and has just the right amount of sweet/sour flavor. Also got their blood orange matcha drink but it was very bland...didn't care much for it. read more
This place bakes the kind of pastry that can make a person consider playing hooky from work (not me but a foodie friend that joined the table was pretty much in the real life scenario of this). We came for "the best chocolate chip cookies" in the city and ended up savoring a bunch of other treats... but this is the first of many future visits to come! Once in awhile you'll see a pastry that makes you realize the definition of "food is art." And maybe it's because rhubarb makes me think of my recent travels to Iceland... or maybe it's just too beautiful..and its taste matches its looks. I don't have enough praise for the unique flavors and ingredients that they put in their pastries. It's perfect with your coffee or tea. We ordered rhubarb and lemon verbena danish, loomi babka lime, chocolate tahini cookie, and earl grey olive oil cookie. All winners!! Service was efficient, and there wasn't a long line. Plenty of small tables to sit at too. :) read more

This is an amazing bakery with plenty of unique flavors and options. We came in at 7:40 AM on a Monday and they didn't have all the pastries made yet, but the majority were out and they were pulling more out as we were waiting. For someone who prefers savory over sweet, Librae hits the spot, unlike other bakeries. Even with this, I still had to order the pistachio rose croissant that everyone raves about. The croissant has a great texture and there's plenty of filling, maybe a bit too sweet if you're eating it all in one sitting. I also ordered a piece of focaccia that had an egg baked into the middle with feta cheese and pickled onion. This was a 10/10, the focaccia was nice and fluffy and the pickled onion added a much-needed brightness. They have a rotating menu of focaccia flavors, so it's a surprise which is kinda fun! The za'atar morning bun is buttery, flavorful, and has a nice soft texture in the middle. Lastly, the Jerusalem bagel with labneh is a hit too! It's heavily coated in sesame seeds so there's a hint of sweetness and it's large for sharing. The labneh has chili oil on top, but it doesn't add much spice. Librae is a great bakery that's worth the hype and popularity! read more

Get the espresso pain au chocolat!! Perfectly flakey and soft on the inside with the perfect ratio of chocolate inside. I came solely for the croissants and did not leave disappointed. When we arrived there was a line but it moved quickly. By around 10am on a Saturday they had most pastries left. Since we just ordered the one croissant service was quick and easy. There's limited seating inside and more tables outside. At the time we came all the inside tables were taken. We walked over to Washington square park to enjoy our croissant. Considering I'm only reviewing Librae off of one croissant shows I need to come back and try more. But based off that I already have thoughts of returning soon! read more

A unique spot serving up baked goods with a Middle Eastern twist -- they have a great mix of savory and sweet options. The line can get long but tends to move pretty fast, and there's plenty of seating inside too. The staff here are really sweet and willing to walk you through the menus and specials. I got the Pesto Foccacia at the recommendation of the staff member and it was SO GOOD -- they dressed it up with pea shoots and the bread was so pillowy and very filling. I had my eye on a Pistachio Croissant, but looks like I'll just need to come back to try it! read more
