I got stranded at a gas station and since me and my family have road side assistance with this app called Life 360 I decided to get it a try. Liberty towing was contacted through the app to provide towing service. On my app it stated the ETA was 3 hours long However they made it in more than half the time! From the very beginning of dispatch contacting me about assigning a tow truck driver (Joe) to ETA to actual pickup and drop off This liberty towing company was FAST,communicative, professional, and respectful. Do not use this company. Short story called insurance for road side at 5:54am no one showed up after an hour. Followed up was given a run around and tried to over charge for 5 additional miles ($60) when I was cover for 15 and was only 16 miles from home they still charged 3 additional miles. Didnt get my car until a 12:30pm. I'll be reporting them to my insurance company as well. read more

My car battery died on me one hot Sunday afternoon. I used roadside assistance from my car insurance, and Liberty Towing was dispatched to my assistance. My estimated wait time was about an hour. The tow truck actually arrived within 20 minutes. Since I was parked in a busy shopping center parking lot, it was tricky getting my car onto the tow truck bed. There was a lot maneuvering involved. If i can give this place 0 stars, I would. I placed a pick-up through the tesla app and tesla specifies to not tow the vehicle unless there is a flatbed truck. The tow was sceduked at 7:45am tow truck driver came at 9:40am, and once I had small questions and concerns because he DID NOT come with a flat bed truck, the driver responded "How long have you been a truck driver for?" in an extremely unproffesional and demeaning way. This is my vehicle that I pay for, do I not have the right to ask questions? He proceeded to SWEAR AT ME and kept running his mouth. I will not stand being disrespected by an adult man obviously, as a WOMAN, so I politely asked him to leave and he continued to swear at me and left after rudely stating its a free country... as he is at work. -10/10, disgusting customer service, especially at 10am to start the day. Wish I could give 0 stars honestly. I contacted my insurance provider and started a towing request at 3:30am because I was stranded from a long drive and was assigned this towing company. I was sent a confirmation saying it would be between 60-90 minutes, called them and they said it would be an hour to pickup my car but an hour and a half MAX. Next thing I know the time passes and I call asking for an eta and they tell me the tow truck is running late but will be there in 30 minutes.. I wait the 30 more minutes and they tell me they had to send the driver to another more important tow pickup!! Actually got told that. Anyways I waited about another hour and called again and this time they said the tow truck's winch was broken so I had to wait for them to fix it which would take another half hour. Waited and still no one, so I called my insurance and told them this was ridiculous and to please send another company because it was already 7:20 in the morning! It took them almost 4 hours and still no show and they never once called to let me know they were running late, I had to be the one to keep calling for eta's to make sure they wouldn't pull one on me and cancel saying they couldn't get ahold of me. Got no sleep at all that night trying to stay up to make sure I got my car towed. Worst towing company ever! My insurance provider sent Bel Air Towing after this issue and they made it in the 45 minutes they said they would!! If you need a tow and don't want to be stuck waiting hours and never getting towed, save your time and money and go with Bel Air towing instead. read more

WORST TOWING SERVICE EVER!!! Save yourself the stress of waiting for them to pick up your vehicle. I scheduled a pick up 2 days in advance. On the day of pick up, they did not show up on time so I called them 1 hour later only for them to tell me it will it will be another hour or so before they can have a driver come out. I called my insurance and had them cancel the tow and schedule another pickup with a different (reputable) tow service who came 40 min after they were called. My husband had a flat tire tonight . We called our insurance provider for assistance . They initially gave an ETA of 70 min the first guy shows up in around 60 min . When the first gentleman gets here he appeared to not feel comfortable with changing the tire , I looked over to see him asking my Husband how to remove the tire, and he had my husband helping him to lift up the tire, my husband even had to use one of his own parts and I saw my husband showing him YouTube videos of how to remove the lug nuts . After about 15 minutes the gentleman expresses he feels he cannot remove the lug nuts , appeared he only tried it once and said he wasn't able to remove the tire because the lug nuts were too tight . So upon hearing this I call my insurance provider to advise them to send someone else when my insurance company asks me why I tell them that the gentleman isn't able to fix it in fact I saw him standing around, showing my husband fighting moves and making strange comments . He then got into his truck left for about 5 minutes and then came back to try to offer more assistance. I asked my insurance company to please send someone else - a tow. After some back and forth they send another request and tell us it's again ... Liberty.. at first I was extremely upset because of the previous experience, at that point we had been with the flat tire for about 3 1/2 hours . The insurance provider told us the ETA would be about 15 min and they showed up in about 12 min . P R E S T O N came , he was very charismatic , friendly and professional he listened to my husband and was able to remove the tire and put on the spare within no time . We really appreciate his effort and hard work helping us, being stranded on the road having to depend on someone else already makes you feel somewhat helpless but I was so grateful that we had P R E S T O N come out to service us thank you ! read more

I locked my key in my car that has very dark limo tent windows at night and he came through and did some mcguyver type work and got it unlocked in 2 minutes. The first I was notified a tow truck would come and then when that time came no truck no communication. Same day they came and the driver passed me several times, was very unprofessional, and left me hanging. I later saw him at Burger King pumping gas across the way after having to tell my dad to come fix my spare tire. Most recently they "cancelled" right before the time said they were to arrive and supposedly called me but I got ZERO calls and I have a brand new phone and great service. ZERO stars. Do not use this towing service. If you have Geico and they say they are going to use LIBERTY TOWING, request another towing service. They delayed my tow 3 hours and never gave updates or reasons. I had to find out from my INSURANCE that they delayed it each and every time. They lied every time saying someone was on their way or even "15 minutes away" just to retract and say it was delayed another hour. There was NEVER A DRIVER ACTUALLY ON THEIR WAY TO US they were just stringing us along while we were sitting here on the side of the freeway not even in a necessarily safe spot. I will be telling everyone I know with Geico insurance not to use this tow service and also I will be filing a grievance with my insurance. We were trapped on the HOV side of the highway with a dead car in high speed traffic and he responded immediately, swept through traffic and got us out of there safely. Then he went the extreme extra mile and stayed with us to trouble shoot what was wrong with the car. He cleaned our battery terminals, tested the alternator checked fluids and a lot more and turns out he fixed it and got us going again himself. Amazing. Driver was slightly delayed and he called to give an update which I appreciated. Horrible experience. I am in my third trimester trying to get a tow through my insurance. The first tow truck was supposed to get to me within 2 hours. Because the tow truck could not drop off the vehicle it had, I had to suffer the consequences. They got me a new tow truck that was supposed to arrive 45 minutes later. After an hour had passed , no truck had arrived. I called the towing service, the informed me the truck was 20 minutes away. I let them know that the service center was not accepting tows, and to not tow cars there. They insisted it was on the insurance company to know that. I did raise my voice, but I did not use profanity. Because I raised my voice, they cancelled my tow and hung up on me. I called my insurance back to reschedule a tow and Liberty DENIED my tow. To do this to a female, that is in her 3rd trimester is insane to me. Again, understand I raised my voice but never did anything to deserve the horrible service I received. read more

I had previously left them a five start review because of the service I received. However, upon Jose's dishonesty I'm now leaving a one start review. My husband ran out of gas on the freeway. He waited for me to get to him gas for about an hour. Under extreme hot weather conditions he decided to leave the fan on. He also left the radio on. Well consequently, the battery drained. A dealer certified mechanic came to our aid the following day after being towed. He assessed the vehicle and told us the battery is completely dead. We replaced the battery. When I started my car and attempted to change gears, the gear shift was not working properly. It kept changing from D to N. Prior to being towed my shifts were working properly. I called Jose and asked what had happened and asked him how did he changed my car gear from park to neutral and he said he never touched the gears from inside my vehicle. He states that there was many tricks that towing personnel know. I explained to him what the gears were doing and how the plastic part was bent and broken. He said that my cars issues were probably due to electrical shortage. I'm not a mechanic but what I do know is that my vehicle doesn't allow you to change the gears unless the key is detected. Since the battery was dead this was not possible. So I knew then that he had forced my gears. Honestly, at a time of emergency I probably would have been okay with such decision if I would have been told upfront the risks and consequences of doing such a thing. Rather, I was told everything would be okay and to not worry about it. I trusted this man words. Now I'm having to replaced the protector of the gear shift. This will not be cheap it's going to cost me about $400. After all, my suspension was confirm. I drove my car to the car dealer for assessment they told me that the car was not starting because of the battery. This was determined after checking the car completely. There was no electrical issues. However, it was determined that the issue of the gear was because the shifts had been forced and the plastic that covers the gears shifts had been bent and also broken. I will not be using this towing company again. I will call my insurance to file a claim since the is was done through road side assistance. Lastly, I will be calling the Better Business Bureau to file an official complaint. read more

Called at 10 am they said they were finishing up another job and they would be here 10:45. I guess they lied the first time about traffic. 11:15 am comes and still no show. The absolute worse towing yard ever, my husband car was taken there after an accident and they did not let us get our belongings and to top it off they stole my husband credit cards and work tool. Not only did they steal they left the window open during the rain and let the car get moldy on the inside.
