Absolutely terrible experience with Hamner Towing Inc. The driver Adam was rude and unprofessional. He agreed to a drop off change, but when we got there, he refused to place the car where requested and just dumped it at the entrance, blocking a shared driveway. This property has plenty of space and every other towing company I've used has had no issue placing the vehicle properly. His attitude and lack of basic courtesy were unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place. Called AAA for a tow when my car wouldn't start. The tow driver, who also works at this auto shop recommended I bring it there. They diagnosed it as a failed fuel pump and said they'd get the part in a day. The next day, I called for an update and was told the part was accidentally ordered for delivery in two days. Already frustrated because they promised a one-day turnaround. On the third day, I had to follow up again just to confirm the part arrived. Throughout this whole process, I was the one constantly calling them for updates even though they said they'd keep me posted. I called again in the afternoon only to hear my car still wouldn't start after replacing the fuel pump. They said another pump needed replacement. I don't understand why their first diagnostic didn't catch both issues from the start. Their excuse was, "When you fix one thing, another problem can show up." At this point, my car had been with them for three days and I no longer felt comfortable, as it felt like they were taking advantage of me. I had it towed to another shop that diagnosed it correctly, preordered the part just in case and fixed everything within a few hours. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I just had my first experience with Hamner Towing through AAA. At first, I was extremely dissatisfied with the company because I was waiting for 2 1/2 hours from the time I placed the call w/ AAA and getting many different ETAs from other drivers who were " 20 minutes away" and from AAA. I was locked out of my car and far from home so as the time went by, and I kept getting different stories, with no ability to track the driver, I was very upset. At about 10:30 this morning a man named Thomas ( I REALLY hope that's his name as it's the one AAA gave me) showed up after just getting the call, and not only put my new car on a flatbed and gave me a 60 mile ride home where I had an extra key , but he was just such a kind and funny person and changed the trajectory of my day. They towed our car last weekend after an accident and when I went back to retrieve items they STOLE two pairs of expensive sunglasses (Ray Ban Meta sunglasses and Burberry), expensive cologne, and AirPods. We had a tire blowout on the 91freeway, which left us next to the freeway wall in a very bad spot. Hammer was dispatched by AAA to assist us, and they were fantastic. The driver made sure my wife and I were safe while he got our car loaded on the flatbed. He explained about the Toyota dealership he took us to and gave us his estimate of the cost of repair. I had the most amazing experience with Hamner Towing last night! I contacted AAA for a flat on the E91fwy/71 at about 10:45pm and they quickly connected me with Hamner Towing. The lady on the phone told me they would be about 30-45min being that it was a Friday night and they were a bit busy. Next thing you know, their driver Angel pulled up right behind me literally 5minutes after. He parked his BIG Hamner Towing rig sticking out protecting my car from the approaching traffic and had the big emergency lights blinking. He greeted me with a much-needed smile, asked if I had a spare, and took care of me just as fast. This was my first time ever getting a flat on the freeway and Angel left me stress free. Horrible service today. They were extremely late. Sent a rookie driver that took way longer than it should have if he knew what he was doing. He DID NOT DISCLOSE THERE WOULD BE EXTRA CHARGES! He loaded up 37 miles 4 hours later, and then before he unchained, he said to pay another $312 (I had just paid 100 on the AAA app) He tells me you have to pay or I'll just take your vehicle to the impound, and then you can pay for that also. I have been a premier member for 12 years, and my tow should have been covered 100%. At the least, customers should have the opportunity to decline service based on the cost. I wasn't given the opportunity to make a choice. That is dishonest, or he is not properly trained. The driver Javier should stick to battery service. read more

I have to come on here to say what an awesome job this company did for my son's tow on 8/7/2023. He lost a wheel so it was a very difficult task to load my son's lifted truck. The tow driver was very skilled and helped get the truck on the truck and into our driveway. I didn't get the driver's name but I hope Hamner looks up this service call and gives the driver a raise! He used all the tricks in the book to get the truck into our driveway. Hamner tow is very skilled and very professional. I will definitely request them if I ever am in need of a tow in Riverside.
