Service Today- I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the level of service at Lia Nails. We have come here several times and gotten pedicures as well as no chip french manicures with many great experiences. Unfortunately today they failed. A newer girl did the french and put bat wings on it. After traveling 20 hours overseas last night and looking forward to the manicure I once had here with dozens of compliments, they failed to duplicate the experience. On top of it the manager argued with us about what a french manicure is supposed to look like. After showing numerous pictures of what it should look like he continued to argue and say he has a business degree. You can have all the degrees in the world, but a service degree was definitely not earned. If you want to talk about service ask me. I have been doing it with a leader in the industry for over 26 years. Needless to say I will be sharing this experience with everyone, because to treat a customer like they are ignorant and don't know what a simple french manicure looks like when they are googling and showing pictures is UNACCEPTABLE. Today was my 3rd visit to Lia Nails and it definitely won't be my last! I've walked in without an appointment every time and they've been able to take me with little to no wait. The first time I was desperate. I had an appointment scheduled at my regular salon to get a manicure and pedicure. My work Christmas party was on Saturday night. This was Thursday night and I was going to the hotel for the weekend the next day. When I got to the salon for my appointment, they told me that their computers had gone down and they lost all their appointments so my nail person wasn't there so sorry, not sorry I guess? Anyway, I digress, I ended up walking into Lia Nails which is super close to home and Scout did my pedicure and manicure and she did a great job and saved the day!! Scout is super sweet and fun! The following two times I also just walked in - I asked for Scout and she was available!!! - and I got no chip manicures. The best ones I've ever had!! Oh and I've also had my eyebrows waxed twice. I didn't get the young ladies name that did them but, WOW. Amazing job!! Her technique is fabulous! She really does great work! I would totally recommend Lia Nails. Everyone is friendly. I work out of state and am back home for the holidays. I went in because they are one of few salons that offer a dip powder manicure in my area. When I got there they had a very minimal selection of dip powder colors which I was disappointed in. I was very pleased however with the service they were friendly and nice and the salon was clean. However after a couple days my dip powder manicure began chipping (which should not happen to a dip powder polish). My nails are very frail which is why I get dip powder in the first place and a lot of them ended up breaking after a week. Very disappointed in the manicure overall and now I have to get them redone only a week after having them. Pictures show my broken nails after filing them down but you can clearly see the chip in the top coat. read more

Upon my 1st visit, Kyle, and his entire staff were very accommodating and ensured I was able to get a beautiful no-chip mani and exfoliating pedi before I had to leave for work travel the next morning. Tip: make sure to make an appointment if you plan on coming on the weekend - they're busy for a reason. My pedicure was quick, comfortable and it turned out beautifully! They offer a large range of pedicure options. I can't comment on nails because I don't get my nails done. I got the classic pedicure for $25 and it was exactly what I needed. TERRIBLE customer service. We have visited Lia Nails several times and been pleased with the quality of the work and the salon. I have even encouraged several others to use their services. NEVER AGAIN!!! I scheduled appointments for myself and my daughter on a Tuesday afternoon. When we arrived at 12:55 for our 1:00 appointments, we learned that they had given our appointments away to walk-ins because I did not "confirm." We have never been required to confirm in the past. The manager called me 20 minutes before the appointment, but somehow I was driving and missed the call. I was extremely irritated, but asked when they COULD get us in and his response was, "we cannot, we're booked." I believe the entire point of making an appointment is that your time is guaranteed! I understand if we had arrived late, but our appointments were given away before our scheduled time. We left and I will never return. I will share this negative experience with as many people as possible. In an area saturated with nail salons, it is not wise to treat customers so poorly!!! read more

Haven't been this happy with my nails in such a long time. Stopped by after work since different salon did a trouble gel nail job that was falling apart. They charged for taking off the old gel nail but final product so good, did no mind at all. Nini applied Very thin layers of gel (in a good way) and painted on where it is meant to be. First and LAST time here. Went in for a full acrylic set which I've had before for 20 yrs. l left happy, they looked nice and the girl was nice. However after3 days they started breaking off at the same point on each nail. Went and had it replaced at no charge only to have it break again. After 6 days I now have 3 nails left. Went in and was told they would redo the set. I didn't want to go through that again I don't have the time. Asked if it was possible to get a refund I understand if I wasn't able to but wanted to try $60 is slot for 6 days of nails. I got a full set of acrylics and a pedicure today. It was such an amazing experience. Nini was so so careful and looked at my nails multiple times for evenness. She did this amazing glitter ombre on my nails and I absolutely love it. I didn't catch the name of the tech who did my pedicure but she was also FANTASTIC! The tools that were used for my pedicure came out of a sealed package which tells me that they must have their tools thoroughly cleaned. It was so clean, well kept, and everyone was so kind. For weekends I'd suggest making an appointment as they're very busy. One of my favorite nail places in Naperville and surrounding suburbs! I drive about 40 miles just to get my nails done by Kyle, who does an outstanding job. He takes his time and is very gentle, not like other places. In addition, he always makes great recommendations and listens to what you want. Whatever shape I want or style he does it exactly. I love coming here as well because it's so peaceful and I actually get to relax and not have to listen to workers having loud conversations amongst themselves. The service while I was there was very professional, unfortunately the polish I chose was thickened so the person doing my nails kept adding something to make it less thick. The polish took 3 times as long to dry as the 2 friends I went with. My toes were painted before my fingers, but when I put on socks 90 minutes later the socks stuck to the polish. 2 days later the polish chipped. I called to let the salon know and the gentleman who answered said I was lucky as it sometimes chips in 2-3 hours. There should be some notification before $50 plus a tip are spent on polish expected to last 3 hours. read more

I went to lia nails for a polish change on one toe. The salon was not full maybe 3 or 4 customers including myself. Nini did one big coat on my big toe, it was sloppy and she tried to clean it with just her nail. Thankfully she got up and got a brush to better clean it in the creases. As I was letting them dry I looked closely because I thought the color was a bit darker than the rest but i wasn't going to say anything. She seen me looking and came over explaining it's not darker i said it's fine, thank you. She continued to argue with me about it not being darker and saying she did a better job than the other salon (i went to lia's only to fix the toe that smudged) she also was laughing in a condescending manner when I said I thought the other place polished better after she claimed she did. I don't think it's right to argue with a customer especially if I said it wasn't an issue and thanked her for her time as well as paid 5 dollars. She was rude and unprofessional and did a rushed/ sloppy job. She tried to call me and offer my $5 back so I wouldn't leave a review but I told her she could keep the $5 and I would leave a review anyway. I would not recommend this place. read more

Really poor customer service. I had a confusing experience of being told they could take me in 20 min but I couldn't leave to run an errand across the street. When they took me, I had a very confusing experience of being passed from one person to the next without being told what was happening. When the first person was filing my nails never said a word to me. They didn't even ask what shape, and when I asked for more flattened edges at the top (they were very uneven) they seemed very unhappy that I said any thing in the first place. First time here and last. I stopped in because it was close to my job and I was unable to get to my usual shop. I got a no chip manicure which was performed differently from any other manicure I've ever received. There was no soaking in water, after removing the previous color, shaping and filing my nail, my nail still felt rough like there was still residue on it and I was told that leaving it on there makes the nail stronger??? They are meticulous about the outcome of your nails, are professional in that they will tell you how to care for them, and they do their very best to run on time. I went to Lia Nails because a friend referred me there. I made an appointment and advised that I wanted a regular manicure. The lady on the phone talked me in getting an extended wear because she stated that the polish would last longer and if I paid with cash it would cost me $36 if I paid cash. I agreed. I had traveled a long way and once I arrived the manager told me I need a filler on my nails and it would cost me an additional $10 and then he said $50 I told him $10 and $36 is not $50 he because extremely mad and told me it is $50 and he do not like my attitude and will not do my fingernails. If you know how to count do not go there because they will charge you for everything and if you can count you will be in trouble. I will never refer them to anyone. Very bad customer service. I recently moved to Naperville and just looked up "eyebrow waxing near me" and Lia Nails was one of the closest places. I didn't make an appointment and went in around 5:30 and was able to see someone right away. At first I wasn't thrilled with the prices ($13 whereas other places are $10-$12) but the woman I had did an AMAZING job so the price was well worth it!
