I've been going to Nail lounge for almost 3 years. Let me tell you I am not impressed easily. Came to this area 3 years ago and this is the best service and prices around. Roland is great. He treats everyone special, making sure everyone is pleased with their visit. And of course, Daniel. He takes care of my fills and pedicures. Very happy with the service. read more

I really wanted to love this spot, but most likely will not be back. Pros: they were able to take me as a walk-in nearly right away. They had a great color selection of quality products and the staff was really friendly. The shape was perfect and the person who did them was really meticulous, which I appreciated. Cons: I have 2 big gripes here... the first is that there was no manicure with the dip (soaking, cuticle care, etc). The second was the end product. The person who did them did not clear the dip from around my cuticles which results in faster chipping. Additionally, the top coat began flaking off after 2 days. I typically have a dip last 3-4 weeks, so this was really frustrating. read more

I went in for an acrylic full set, I was satisfied with the result and how they looked, but now I have no idea what these people put on my nails. Granted they've lasted me 3 weeks, it's time to remove them and the product won't even soak off in acetone. Usually you soak acrylics nails in hot water & acetone to remove them and it's supposed to turn into a jelly like texture and easy to remove with a file. These nails won't soak off at all they remain hard. So now I'm stuck with having to pry them off which it's very painful. The products they use are not healthy for nails. If I continue going to this place it will be for toes only. read more

Where do I start? Pros: Very clean Beautiful decor Nice vibe Cons: Requested service was an epic failure Quality of service was dismal Customer service was lacking The Story: received reference from a friend for a particular nail tech (why, by the way, was EXCELLENT! I mean, for those who search near & far for detailed nail design at its perfection, this young lady is at the top of her game!) The end...of the good stuff. Now the bad. My friend called beforehand to get pricing, and the price quoted and what I paid afterward differed greatly. TIM did my mother's full set with a French manicure, and her nails looked like a brick overlay!!! I distinctly asked the front desk gentleman if TIM was as good as my friends nail tech, and he emphatically told me yes! LIES!!! Even though my mother asked for a specific color before and was confirmed, she didn't get it in the end, and wasn't told until afterward that they didn't have the color. Not only do my mom's nails look like brick, but they were different shapes and ragged. Yes, I did notify the tech, who tried to correct it, but TOO LATE, damage done. Then they had the nerve to attempt to add an extra charge for shape, as if you have an option and shouldn't filing and shaping your nails be a part of a full set? Not special shape, just your regular nails. I guess they were going to charge extra for involuntary making my mom's nails different shapes to cover up TIM'S disaster!!! Moving on to my mani/pedi...not only was JACK extremely rude and unfriendly when I was showing him some details he neglected doing my pedicure, I had to reshape and cut some of my toe and fingernails because they were not smooth. See the picture of my disappointing manicure. On another note, after I saw the staff offer a client water, I asked why wasn't I asked, they bring me a bottle of water as I'm putting on my coat. The final straw was the bill, but there's no prices posted, so now I can't dispute the price I was told versus what I'm being charged. Not that they were the slightest bit interested in my dissatisfaction or complaint. And guess what... I still tipped for services rendered, but I woefully regret the experience, and every dollar paid! One of the WORST experiences for my visiting mother and myself...NEVER to rerurn! After reading the reviews, I see that my experience isn't uncommon. 0 stars if I could! read more

I don't get pedicures often but came to this location a handful of times before Covid. This past Thursday 5/5/21 was my first time back and it's now Saturday and my toe is starting to become red, swollen and extremely painful. I've never had an infection on my foot or toe before and this feels awful. When I arrived the water was scalding hot in the bowl and the person who set me up to soak and wait for a nail tech added cold water but she needed to add so much the bowl was practically overflowing. When the nail tech gentleman began and asked me to lift my foot onto the towel the first time a little water splashed because the bowl was so full and the nail tech scolded me for splashing him. I explained how the bowl had too much water which he could see but instead of letting some out he told me I needed to be more careful. The rest of the pedicure I moved my feet around very slowly and we didn't talk at all during the service. He did not open fresh tools in front of me but I know some salons use some type of light sanitation system so I didn't think anything of it, well never again. I will never be back and will never recommend this place to anyone. Edit to add: I wound up at my doctor to have the infection drained and needed a prescription of antibiotics. Absolutely awful experience. Unacceptable. read more

Take it from someone who's been getting her nails done for over 10 years wearing regular polish, gel, acrylics, shellac, no chip, and dip powder, save money and go somewhere else. The only 1 star is for decor and I guess color options. I usually get the dip powder because working in healthcare and constantly washing and sanitizing my hands, wearing no chip lasts for maybe 3-4 days tops. Although I didn't have polish on prior, the whole manicure took about 40 minutes at most. It was nice getting done earlier than I'm used to, but something didn't feel right about it. This is the second salon that I've experienced that uses gel for the top coat and the last time I had gel for a top coat on top of dip powder, my nails lasted about 4-5 days. I asked for the dip powder top coat and they claimed they did not have it. At that time, I knew my nails were not going to last more than a week. Lo and behold, my nails lasted about 3 days before chipping took place. TL;DR: they use gel for top coat on dip powder and I'm personally not a fan of that. I would not recommend this salon to friends and family. Save your money (especially since the nails were on the expensive side) and go somewhere else. read more

I called and asked what openings they had for a pedicure , she said you can come right now. When I arrived (13 minutes later) Thinking they were not busy,, they were full of customers just starting and some mid way thru their services . After a couple of minutes she told me to go to the back and have a seat, for about 10 minutes while soaking my feet. This turned into a 33 minute soak NO ONE came by, Finally she empties the water 1x during adding COLD water. I was getting up to just leave, and a tech came to me. She started the pedicure Extremely fast. and while doing it she kept looking to the front of the shop and stayed focused there. The was extremely focused on the lobby area NOT on what she was doing to me. While using the cuticle nippers she cuts into not only the cuticle but into the side of my toe. gave me a slice of cotton and continued to nip and look at the front of shop I moved my feet away from her at this point as I looked at the lobby area and then at her, ( as in to give her a notice to stop being distracted) The ENTIRE pedicure time was SEVEN MINUTES YES SEVEN MINUTES !!!! she did do all the steps but only about maximum each step was 45-50 seconds. THE ABSOLOUTE WORST pedicure I've ever had. I will NEVER RETURN. OH the best part was at the checkout she said ( in perfect English) YOU ADD TIP ! talk about Pressured into something. I did leave $2 she was SO ANGRY. she walked away yelling in whatever language of her heritage. TAKE MY ADVICE DO NOT GO HERE. I cant a below zero star rating if I could I would. I always love coming here, they are always so nice and go a great job. There are times that they over book themselves and it does cause people with appointments to be seen 30mins late sometimes. I don't mind waiting, but they don't really communicate that there will be a wait or someone does a rush job. Went in with a friend for mani pedis and as we were sitting in the pedicure chairs waiting, a guy started my no chip manicure. He didn't properly file or shape my nails so I had to file them when I got home and he rushed and didn't do the full manicure I paid for. I then sat and watched as my friend (who was also getting a no chip manicure) get a full service and they didn't rush with her. Both of our pedicures were great, but two totally different experiences with no chip manicures and I wasn't happy with my experience or how my nails looked. I will still be coming here because I really do love the people here, but I will be sure to request certain people for future appointments. read more

This nail place earned the full 5 stars! I am so glad I came across the salon since there's so many in Naperville/Aurora. I got a touch up to my nails from Roland. He explained the best nail shape for my nails and also how to fix my reoccurring problem of the divot when I get no chip. He showed me the difference with the dip polish, and I absolutely love it! My nails look fabulous!! The care and detailed work he put into just a touch up was astounding. I'm guessing he's the manager or owner since he kept the salon running efficiently as possible. Very pricy for the quality of work. We made an appointment for Thursday morning, for two full sets. We both got gel tips. One set came out OK, the other set came out sloppy and not at all what we wanted. When we tried to correct the nail stylist she said it would look OK in a minute and it never looked OK, The nail stylist just left the nail the way it was, the colors that we chose bled together and did not look nice. So instead of arguing we just left after the service was done , If I have to spend $130 for two full sets of nails, I would rather make sure they get done properly elsewhere. read more

I took my niece to get her nails done for the first time. She enjoyed the experience until the next day when three of her acrylic nails popped at her desk at work. Nonetheless I will not be going back. read more

I have had both good and bad experiences at this nail salon. Today is my birthday and thought I would get a full set and a pedicure. Pedi was nice. Nails were a disaster. Maggie did my nails and ignored all my requests. I spoke up multiple times telling her it was wrong. Didn't matter - she wanted to give me a full set without tips and paint them to look French. I specifically asked for a new set with tips. When she started to put on acrylic, I asked about the tips. She said that I can add them at the end. I asked her what that meant and she said it again. When she got a bottle of white nail polish, I told her that was not what I wanted. Didn't matter. That's what I was getting. I spoke to the manager and he apologized. I paid full price and left. I doubt I will come back. This was a pretty crappy treatment (especially for treating self on birthday!). Very pleased that they were able to take me for a pedicure on short notice. Thrilled that I could completely understand the gentleman on the phone with making the appointment and working with me to get me in within a half hour instead of an hour plus. Mimi was very nice but we did have a little difficulty understanding each other. I'd never been here before but had wanted a good pedicure for several weeks and could not get into my usual 2 places. I chose it based on the reviews and writing about sanitized tools etc. my main reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars is that we had difficulty understanding each other, I could not find any hand sanitizer for use after looking at nail polishes, and they have plastic dividers every 2 pedicure stations and I thought that meant I would not have anyone (strangers) next to me since it was barely 3 feet away. Unfortunately a large group came of 4 came in that would obviously want to be together and so there was no division between us. I also thought that $20 extra for no chip on a pedicure was overpriced. This place is very busy and popular. Roland is super nice and runs a great place. The massage chair was excellent! I wou read more

update: After my review, Roland messaged me on yelp, and refunded me for the service. He also offered me a 20% off voucher for a subsequent visit. For their customer service alone, I've changed my rating. Additionally, though my nails are still unevenly colored/lumpy, they have held up decently over time after i painted on another layer of top coat. i would consider giving them another chance. I decided to check this place out because of the high rating. An hour and $57 later, I'm left with lumpy nails, still-ragged cuticles, and regret...plenty of regret. First off, I'm not sure why their prices/services aren't more clearly listed online, but I live close by so I decided to drop in. I'm not sure I would have stopped by if they'd been more transparent- I understand the $2 covid surcharge, but on top of it they had a surcharge on the chrome colors I chose, and also threatened an additional surcharge for choosing more than two colors. I was assigned to an impatient nail technician, and hurried through my color selection. There was no hand massage or lotion (this has typically been included at other salons I've been at) and the other steps (especially soaking/trimming) also felt very rushed. She applied my dip powder unevenly, leaving the edges and small patches in the middle of my nails uncovered- I pointed this out and she seemed annoyed. When she was finished, I realized that the application was still uneven and pointed it out, to which she replied, "too late." End result- the dip powder is obviously thinner/has less coverage on certain areas of each nail, there are random patches of glitter on my cuticles, and the surface of my nails feel rough and uneven to the touch. The rating is misleading or something else has gone wrong here, because...in summary, I've honestly received better manicures from my 9 year old cousin. Go elsewhere. read more

My friends and I visited nail lounge for the first time about two weeks ago. We were very unsatisfied with our experience. As seen in the photos of the manicure it looks as if she had press on nails on. The shape was not done well and she was overall not happy with the final product. We had a friend meet us for a pedicure and was done within about 10 minutes. Shortest pedicure he'd ever received but all they did was clip his toe nails they didn't even scrub his feet or lotion as it says. Not to mention he didn't even know he was done because the person working on him got up and walked away without telling him he was finished. Overall not a great experience here. Needless to say we will not be returning read more

My 1 Star Review , hoping that this will be noticed! I've used to come to this place for years, but most likely have to look for another one now. The whole lounge need to be deeply cleaned - from polish/gel bottles to walls! Omg, it's super dirty wherever you look. The working staff would better take a mop/cloth and start cleaning it instead of speaking or playing on the phone in front of their costumers! Roland is the only one trying to make it look better, seems to me. The quality went down, but the price went up couple $. Hope something will change :( read more

Tip - don't ask for matte on a no-chip. Applying a matte quote looks really bad. I don't like my nails. I showed matte black with French gloss (attaching the pic). I asked if you can do it and the guy named Hung said yes and started doing my manicure. I was struggling to see what was happening to my nails. I went for no-chip. Poor guy had very less experience I guess but I was pissed when he took hell lot of time and said it's gonna be like this. Trust me forget the matte look even the nail paint was uneven. Very very unprofessional job! Since I was not satisfied I asked to call the lady he was asking for guidance every 5 minutes. She came and redid the whole thing. Good waste of 2.5 hours. Eventually it looked like I posted the pic. Not the same I showed them how I wanted. Not happy at all! read more

Let me start off by saying that I've been wanting to try a new salon for awhile. I was going to tip 2 toe nails and each time I went I became more & more disappointed. Today I went to nail lounge to get my nails done before i went on a trip, i asked for the design pictured in green but wanted orange instead. The guy I got said it was no problem. Perfect! I went and sat down as he started my nails and when we got to the point of the design he kept restarting on it. Now i gave it a chance and trusted he said that he could but i did not like it. I ended up having to ask to just paint it orange instead like the rest of the nails. I go here a lot and i'm usually satisfied with the outcome and always come back for more. this time i was disappointed. if you are going to promote the design and what you can and cannot do let it be accurate. no shade to anyone i will come back but i was just upset that i was told they could do something just to not do it how it was pictured. read more

A year ago we moved from Naperville and too far away from my previous salon in Wheaton. I was skeptical to try a new place but I wasn't willing to drive almost 40 minutes just for a pedicure at my old salon. I'm so glad I tried this place! They did an amazing job on my pedicure and were super polite. They also allow you to bring your own polish if you want, which is a plus. One addition: the woman seated across from me who was also getting a pedicure decided to wait until her nail tech had done at least one coat on all of her toenails before telling him she didn't like the color and she had him remove it and go pick out another color for her. He very politely asked why she had waited so long to tell him, but then he let it go and did as she asked. I was angry for him. So kudos to that guy for not getting visibly upset at how ridiculous that was. I'm sure it unfortunately happens all the time. This will become my salon as long as we live in the area! read more
