I really wanted to love this spot, but most likely will not be back. Pros: they were able to take me as a walk-in nearly right away. They had a great color selection of quality products and the staff was really friendly. The shape was perfect and the person who did them was really meticulous, which I appreciated. Cons: I have 2 big gripes here... the first is that there was no manicure with the dip (soaking, cuticle care, etc). The second was the end product. The person who did them did not clear the dip from around my cuticles which results in faster chipping. Additionally, the top coat began flaking off after 2 days. I typically have a dip last 3-4 weeks, so this was really frustrating.

Yay I love this place!! This place is always open for appointments when no one else is. Maggie is one of the best they have there!! The owner Roland is great- he's got a great personality and has so many regulars that love him. The environment is light and bright and updated and they always play good music! This place is my go-to!

Poor cuticles, the picture really isn't conveying how ragged  my nails look in person!

Where do I start? Pros: Very clean Beautiful decor Nice vibe Cons: Requested service was an epic failure Quality of service was dismal Customer service was lacking The Story: received reference from a friend for a particular nail tech (why, by the way, was EXCELLENT! I mean, for those who search near & far for detailed nail design at its perfection, this young lady is at the top of her game!) The end...of the good stuff. Now the bad. My friend called beforehand to get pricing, and the price quoted and what I paid afterward differed greatly. TIM did my mother's full set with a French manicure, and her nails looked like a brick overlay!!! I distinctly asked the front desk gentleman if TIM was as good as my friends nail tech, and he emphatically told me yes! LIES!!! Even though my mother asked for a specific color before and was confirmed, she didn't get it in the end, and wasn't told until afterward that they didn't have the color. Not only do my mom's nails look like brick, but they were different shapes and ragged. Yes, I did notify the tech, who tried to correct it, but TOO LATE, damage done. Then they had the nerve to attempt to add an extra charge for shape, as if you have an option and shouldn't filing and shaping your nails be a part of a full set? Not special shape, just your regular nails. I guess they were going to charge extra for involuntary making my mom's nails different shapes to cover up TIM'S disaster!!! Moving on to my mani/pedi...not only was JACK extremely rude and unfriendly when I was showing him some details he neglected doing my pedicure, I had to reshape and cut some of my toe and fingernails because they were not smooth. See the picture of my disappointing manicure. On another note, after I saw the staff offer a client water, I asked why wasn't I asked, they bring me a bottle of water as I'm putting on my coat. The final straw was the bill, but there's no prices posted, so now I can't dispute the price I was told versus what I'm being charged. Not that they were the slightest bit interested in my dissatisfaction or complaint. And guess what... I still tipped for services rendered, but I woefully regret the experience, and every dollar paid! One of the WORST experiences for my visiting mother and myself...NEVER to rerurn! After reading the reviews, I see that my experience isn't uncommon. 0 stars if I could!

pedicure infection

I don't get pedicures often but came to this location a handful of times before Covid. This past Thursday 5/5/21 was my first time back and it's now Saturday and my toe is starting to become red, swollen and extremely painful. I've never had an infection on my foot or toe before and this feels awful. When I arrived the water was scalding hot in the bowl and the person who set me up to soak and wait for a nail tech added cold water but she needed to add so much the bowl was practically overflowing. When the nail tech gentleman began and asked me to lift my foot onto the towel the first time a little water splashed because the bowl was so full and the nail tech scolded me for splashing him. I explained how the bowl had too much water which he could see but instead of letting some out he told me I needed to be more careful. The rest of the pedicure I moved my feet around very slowly and we didn't talk at all during the service. He did not open fresh tools in front of me but I know some salons use some type of light sanitation system so I didn't think anything of it, well never again. I will never be back and will never recommend this place to anyone. Edit to add: I wound up at my doctor to have the infection drained and needed a prescription of antibiotics. Absolutely awful experience. Unacceptable.

Dip powder only 3 days after getting them done

Take it from someone who's been getting her nails done for over 10 years wearing regular polish, gel, acrylics, shellac, no chip, and dip powder, save money and go somewhere else. The only 1 star is for decor and I guess color options. I usually get the dip powder because working in healthcare and constantly washing and sanitizing my hands, wearing no chip lasts for maybe 3-4 days tops. Although I didn't have polish on prior, the whole manicure took about 40 minutes at most. It was nice getting done earlier than I'm used to, but something didn't feel right about it. This is the second salon that I've experienced that uses gel for the top coat and the last time I had gel for a top coat on top of dip powder, my nails lasted about 4-5 days. I asked for the dip powder top coat and they claimed they did not have it. At that time, I knew my nails were not going to last more than a week. Lo and behold, my nails lasted about 3 days before chipping took place. TL;DR: they use gel for top coat on dip powder and I'm personally not a fan of that. I would not recommend this salon to friends and family. Save your money (especially since the nails were on the expensive side) and go somewhere else.

My nail tech was Fee, he does an amazing French! He shaped them perfectly. His work is clean and precise. Got everything I asked for and more! 28 days ago Tomorrow will mark 4 weeks with this set. All nails stayed on perfectly, the design was subtly which allowed them to look great for whole month! I highly recommend Fee!

I got my nails same day. I called and they said that my nails shape, and no chip acrylics would be around 55 plus 5 for design. At the end of the appointment my total was $81.00!!

I came here because my nail technician from Chicago moved to this location. Nancy has always been the best. She always listens to what I want and does an amazing job. I showed her exactly what I wanted from a Pinterest post I found and she was able to help me find the perfect colors to match it. The salon itself is super nice and clean. They have a wide variety of colors to chose from. It was definitely worth the drive to come see Nancy.

I called and asked what openings they had for a pedicure , she said you can come right now. When I arrived (13 minutes later) Thinking they were not busy,, they were full of customers just starting and some mid way thru their services . After a couple of minutes she told me to go to the back and have a seat, for about 10 minutes while soaking my feet. This turned into a 33 minute soak NO ONE came by, Finally she empties the water 1x during adding COLD water. I was getting up to just leave, and a tech came to me. She started the pedicure Extremely fast. and while doing it she kept looking to the front of the shop and stayed focused there. The was extremely focused on the lobby area NOT on what she was doing to me. While using the cuticle nippers she cuts into not only the cuticle but into the side of my toe. gave me a slice of cotton and continued to nip and look at the front of shop I moved my feet away from her at this point as I looked at the lobby area and then at her, ( as in to give her a notice to stop being distracted) The ENTIRE pedicure time was SEVEN MINUTES YES SEVEN MINUTES !!!! she did do all the steps but only about maximum each step was 45-50 seconds. THE ABSOLOUTE WORST pedicure I've ever had. I will NEVER RETURN. OH the best part was at the checkout she said ( in perfect English) YOU ADD TIP ! talk about Pressured into something. I did leave $2 she was SO ANGRY. she walked away yelling in whatever language of her heritage. TAKE MY ADVICE DO NOT GO HERE. I cant a below zero star rating if I could I would. Below is a picture of how she spent her entire 7 minutes on me.

Deep and it is uneven

Second time bad experience. The deep is uneven and the guy who did it was rude and aggressive with my hands. Was very uncomfortable experience. Made a comment about the nails being uneven and he was aggressive with my hands. Will have to go to another nail salon to fix the issue

I came in to LuxeSkin for a HydraFacial, and let me tell you - the whole experience from start to…read morefinish was EXCELLENT. First, scheduling was very easy. I opted to make my appointment over the phone, but there's also an online scheduling option, if that works best for you. Maddy took my call and answered any questions I had, and was sweet and professional to work with. I was also sent a text reminder, which I appreciated and shows that they are interested in using up to date scheduling technology, which is a really good sign. Second, the medspa itself. The entry is around the back of the building, which I imagine is important for anyone wanting to be more discrete. Inside, the space was clean and beautiful - it has a relaxing atmosphere and doesn't feel overly clinical. I was immediately greeted and asked if I wanted a beverage, and then was ushered into a second waiting comfy room to fill out my intact paperwork. The music is typical relaxing spa music and they have it at just the right volume throughout the spa. After I filled out my paperwork, Maddy (who just happened to also be doing my facial!) came in and we talked about some of my skin concerns and goals, she was extremely knowledgeable and also just so sweet and friendly, she put me immediately at ease (this was my first HydraFacial). Next, the treatment itself. First off: the treatment room was a great temperature, no harsh overhead lights, and again that relaxing spa music. I changed into the little robe I was given and settled onto the gloriously warm treatment table. The next 50 minutes were just pure bliss, as Maddy expertly did each step of the Elite HydraFacial. It was much gentler than I had expected, like a tiny vacuum on my face. In between, I believe she was putting different serums on, and she did the red LED light for inflammation and anti aging. It was all just so wonderful and relaxing. Maddy was amazing! Afterwards my skin was as soft as a baby's bum, and it wasn't at all red or blotchy, which also surprised me! I went to lunch immediately afterwards without feeling the least bit self conscious, and in fact felt that "celebrity glow" that's so elusive. I also bought a couple of the products Maddy suggested and am already feeling the difference in my skin. TL;DR - I would absolutely recommend Luxeskin spa, and am looking forward to trying more of their services. Especially if you're looking for a facial to do before a big event like a wedding, the HydraFacial Elite at this medspa is the way to go!

During the day, parking here has not been an issue, can't speak to evenings and weekends. See my earlier review for specific directions because you enter the parking lot from North Ave. which is a one-way street heading west. (first street south of the Naperville train station). She asked me frequently if I needed a break due to the fact that with the first waxing of a frequently shaved area, it may be quite painful. She explained that it will get better with more frequent waxings--when the hair becomes softer & more sparse. She also gave me good pointers on how to manage for the next several days after the waxing to avoid complications such as ingrown hairs, etc. I will definitely be back in the recommended time frame!
