I tried the mixed meat plate for one with a side order of hummus and was completely satisfied. The meat was soft and tender and the rice was also soft and seasoned perfectly. The salad was fresh and light. The portions were huge and was enough to eat the next day! The hummus was super creamy and on the garlicky side, but very fresh tasting. The meal also came with a giant bread bun that was soft. The stores seems like it is a family business with husband, wife, and daughter working. The wife was friendly, but did not speak much English so ordering was a bit challenging. I ordered takeout, but the restaurant felt very warm and inviting for a sit down meal. The pita bread that came with the hummus can be a bit softer. It was more on the crunchy side, but wasn't a deal breaker for me. read more

Oh Leyla, I am your majnun! Absolutely loved this place and it's service! We had the platter for four. The kebabs were cooked absolutely perfectly. The salad was delicious. The hummus was true to genuine authentic hummus - no too much tahini, perfect amount of garlic, and a perfect amount of olive oil. The bread - true to Turkish/Kurdish cuisine! We will definitely return every time we are in Cincinnati. My vegetarian son loved the falafel sandwich and said the falafel was wonderfully cooked. The tahini dipping sauce was lite and not too heavy. This spot is a Cincinnati jewel! read more

I cannot speak more highly of this place! Leyla's has quite literally the best Mediterranean food in Cincinnati. The last time I went, I ordered the babbaganoush, eggplant in sauce and kibbeh balls and it was like eating at your grandmother's table...if you grew up eating Mediterranean food like I did that is. The only complaint I have is that it's too far away from my house, otherwise I would be giving them lot more business. The young lady that works there most of the time is so sweet and the food comes out very quickly even with to-go orders like mine on this visit. I called and it was ready within 20 mins of me ordering. read more

I ordered take-out from this restaurant yesterday. They're located in Anderson Towne Center, which I found to be enormous and confusing. I finally had to stop at their sister-restaurant, Mesopotamia, and ask for directions. The restaurant was clean and well-decorated. The staff seemed very busy but friendly and attentive. At first no one was available, and then suddenly three staff members were offering to help me, including the owner. But it was the food that made the biggest impression on me. The Grilled Chicken Thighs had a flavorful grill on them, but the hit was the Shrimp Casserole. The shrimp were plump and tender, the veggies were fresh and freshly-cut, and the sauce was absolutely amazing!! It was complex, with the piquant taste of yogurt. I couldn't stop slurping up spoon-fulls of it from my plate. It was a generous portion, expertly made, with a huge helping of equally flavorful rice. Safe to say I strongly recommend this restaurant!! read more

We loved all of the food! Everything was delicious and the bread that they bake fresh was so delicious and they gave us extra to take home which was so kind. I would love to rate it higher but we had some slow service, there seems to be a fly issue and the music was so loud. I think we will order carry out in the future. read more

I went to this restaurant around 10 times. I am Muslim, so I only eat Halal food. Leyla Mediterranean is the only Halal restaurant in the Anderson area. Sadly, ALL of my experiences at this restaurant have been horrible. The owner is a very rude, disrespectful and openly racist individual. When I come into their restaurant, the first thing this man says is "Takeout?" Basically implying that he does not want me dining in his restaurant. I noticed that he was exceptionally polite and respectful toward white customers. I recently bought their Adana Kebab and the whole entire thing was a slab of rotten chicken. The food container literally smelled like trash. Never again. I wouldn't go near this place with a 1,000 yard stick. read more

Medicore falafel and hummus. 5/10. Both were bland and nothing to write home about. My hunt for the best falafel in Cincinnati continues.

This is such a great addition to the area! I came here for lunch one weekend and had such a great experience. The complimentary bread was warm and fluffy on the inside with a great crunchy crust, the falafel was fantastic and the baklava... just wow. Layer upon layer of flakey goodness.. The middle was soft with a generous portion of walnuts and the honey and pistachios on top really pushed it over the top. The patio is gorgeous and you must dine outside if you have the chance.. You are surrounded by beautiful plants, music and water features that make you forget that you are sitting in anderson towncenter. Next time I am in town I will be visiting again to try out some more of their menu. read more

LEYLA puts out magnificent dishes! After battling over the last bite of the appetizer medley for 2 plate, our entrees couldn't have came out ever so timely. I ordered the Adana kebab which was served with seasoned rice, and a salad that was tossed in some sort of vinaigrette. I really enjoyed every bite! My daughters and husband all enjoyed their entrees as well!! To our surprise, our waiter brought out a complimentary dessert which was very heartwarming to say the least, and so delicious! I'd say it's somewhat close to flan. What a beautiful family/staff, they are so friendly, and very attentive. Compliments to the chef; the dishes came out like a pieces of art, and full- flavored. Well done! If I could, I'd given four and a half stars. It came really close to my other #1 mediterranean favorite. Such a close margin. read more

Run don't walk to LEYLA! Food is superb and the service is wonderful. I've never had Mediterranean food before so they've set the bar extremely high. My literal first time eating Mediterranean (other than food truck gyros) so I had/have no clue what all of those dishes are made of. My vocabulary is horrible but my taste buds were screaming, "Yes!!" Hubs and I ordered the grill plate for 2. The chicken Adana, chicken kabob, gyro, rice and tsaziki sauce was absolutely amazing. The grill flavor was perfect. The lamb kabob is not my cup of tea but hubs loved it. We were served a salad but I didn't care for it. It came out warm, not sure if that's traditionally how it's done. For starters they bring out fresh bread with dipping oil. Both are melt in your mouth good. For a Saturday night, they had a packed house and only one waitress. We were told typically they have two waitress so the wait shouldn't be as long (we were there for an hour and forty five minutes). Our waitress apologized multiple times and was just the sweetest girl. There's another lady that walks around and fills water glasses, cleans up tables, chats with customers. She is wonderful. I'm assuming maybe the owner, regardless, I will always remember her for her gentle kindness. Dinner was on the pricier side but for the amount and quality of food, it's perfect. Don't come here expecting a "food truck gyro" unless you come for lunch. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for a date night. Everything was outstanding. The (what I presume to be) owner was serving us and brought fresh bread he baked and hot tea free of charge. All of the food was absolutely incredible. We got grape leaves, borek, stuffed cabbage rolls, the mixed grill plate, baklava, and the Mediterranean cocktail that I forget the name of. It was a bit expensive but worth every penny. We left full and happy and will definitely be returning! read more

The ambiance and decor were very nice. Clothed tables. Interesting art work. Emma, our server, was incredibly beautiful. She said it was her place. The food was very good with fair portions. Decent price, but not for the average lunch goer. Worth the money, just not every day. read more

Excellent food and service, a gem in Anderson mall Took the whole family, on a relatively quiet Saturday morning, everything was fresh and hot, and all the breads appeared to be homemade, we had several different types (appetizer bread, flatbreads, even the hamburger bun for the kid's meal). Tea was excellent as well, just an all around pleasant experience. We'll be back! read more

This is pretty easily the best Med food in Cincinnati, on a good day. They've seemed a little short-staffed lately, and they do have off days, but overall it is really quite excellent. We've sampled most of the menu and it's all good. My usual go-to is the doner kebab plate, maybe a hummus appetizer if I'm really hungry. The bread and dipping sauce are also always a highlight. The outdoor dining area is really quaint and serene in the summer, a real highlight for me. read more

We've enjoyed Leila's fresh hot bread from the oven lovely Mediterranean dishes like a lamb and beef patties in a lovely tomato sauce, so many new favorites we had from going to Leyla's. For instance, order appetizers for two or four people. Sample the variety, with some fresh hot bread from the oven. Then order the entrees and split them among you. Our servers were Emma and Mémey, they also have a hands on approach in the kitchen, Emma's fresh Baklava is lovely. Delve into the deliciousness of MiddleEastern food. It's very authentic and will leave you wondering why you hadn't discovered it earlier, We heartily recommend the garden seating. Fine AlFresco dining. Bon Appetite ! read more

Out and about on a rainy day running errands over in Beechmont area deciding on what to eat. Open my trusted Yelp App and started our search. Leyla Mediterranean Restaurant came up. Read a few review and made our choice and it was a good one. I love me some Gyro meat. Looking at the menu at Lelya's I didn't see Gyro on the menu. I asked the waitress and she informed us that they called it The Donner. We ordered the Donner and Fried Eggplant. Everything was very fresh and very good. I mean like really good. Leyla Mediterranean is small cozy place. Very clean and just looks expensive. Don't be scared. The prices are right and the servings are well worth it. So don't be deceived by the fancy napkins and all. Lelya's is priced very affordable and nice size servings. With what WE ordered it was almost more than we could eat. A nice surprise was the complementary homemade Bread and dipping sauce. Oh oh this place is a keeper. Stop by and check them out. Great prices. Great food. Friendly. Clean. Great location. read more

Best hummus I've ever had. Their house dipping sauce us wonderful. Pita was nice and warm. The bread was crusty and dense. I'm having the shish kabob. The lamb is fantastic. Very nice tzaziki sauce. Ellen is having grilled shrimp. Very nice. The rice pilaf has a light, but refreshing flavor. The dressing on the salad isn't overpowering. Nice decor and ambiance. Definitely doing again. I'm a fan of Middle Eastern food, especially gyros. Until I tried this place, I wasn't satisfied with any of the other places I had gone to. This place is right up the road from where I live, so I can go there pretty much anytime I want to. I've had their gyro, lentil soup, hummus with pita, and probably enough other items that I feel I can give them a good review. I will say the indoor dining is a bit cramped, but that's okay. I usually prefer to get carry out. read more

The food and service was outstanding! We decided on some Mediterranean staple dishes and they were absolutely delicious and so fresh. The hummus, gyro sandwich, spinach borek, and falafel lunch with feta were some of the best I've had. Make sure to save room for the baklava too! It was very light and perfectly complimented by the Turkish tea. The restaurant is small and intimate, and the service was fantastic and unrushed. read more

We've been here a handful of times. The food is amazing and if you can fit it, the appetizers almost steal the show. The cold sampler lets you try 4 of the most authentic pita bread spreads we have ever had. The liver warm app is unique and filled with flavor. We have a lot to unpack here. Matter of fact, i made a yelp account for this lol. Ive been to leyla twice, and it has been impressive in a variety of ways. To start with the environment theyve created, there is no more romantic setting in the surrounding 10 miles surely. The service is wonderful. The staff is attentive. We visited on sunday night, and they were out of some options due to that. They may not know this, but we appreciated hearing that because it only means that they use fresh ingredients! The man who i presume is the owner offered a very, very nice lamb plate in place of what we had ordered previously. No one could have possibly complained, i assure you. The food here is incomparable, and you just have to go. No words. read more

We had the pleasure of enjoying Leyla's patio for dinner last night. It was the first time that my family & I have eaten out as a group since the pandemic. It was a feast! We ordered the "Cold Appetizer for 4" for 6 people & it was amazing! The Baba Ghanouj is the best I've ever had, & we tried the Kisir & carrot tarator, which I've never had before & both were so tasty. 4 of us ordered the Mixed Grill for 4. It was a fantastic selection of perfectly seasoned & roasted meats over a bed of deliciously seasoned rice. The service was amazing, too! During COVID, Leyla Mediterranean has been a wonderful take-out option. The taste is always amazing & their generous portions are fantastic for leftovers the next day. read more

My wife and I are huge fans of Mediterranean food. We recently moved to the area from Northwest Indiana, but we had three Mediterranean restaurants in that area that we loved. Of course, we're trying to find options in this area that are just as good. Leyla was not bad, but I don't think it will become our replacement for those amazing restaurants. Shortly after sitting down, we were given some fresh bread with a sauce. I must say, it was delicious. Warm, fresh, crispy bread and a well-seasoned sauce. Some spice, some sweetness. Very promising start. I can't remember exactly what I got, but it was some sort of lamb shawerma dish, I believe. And it wasn't bad, but it was rather dry and bland. Lamb is usually full of such great flavor, but I didn't really get that, which was disappointing. To be fair, my wife liked her meal. She got a falafel dish with hummus and veggies. She said it was the best hummus she'd ever had, and I liked it too. I thought the falafel was fairly standard, though. We also decided to order a Turkish yogurt drink. We kind of expected a lightly sweet Greek yogurt desert-style beverage. It was unsweetened and tasted like plain Greek yogurt. Extremely tart. Maybe we should have asked about it if we weren't sure, but it still wasn't our favorite. Overall, I'd probably go back, but I'd search out some other Mediterranean restaurants in the area before revisiting. read more
