I've been to a few Lexie's, but the Dover location is new to me. It's located right downtown with lots of parking nearby. My server was cheerful and quick to take my order, with one small glitch - my order for fries didn't get to the fry cook, so they were a bit delayed. Their smash burgers are wonderful! Super tasty, with some unique toppings. The bistro fries were hot and crispy with their own unique toppings. And a tiny chocolate chip cookie for dessert - perfect! The restaurant is bright and clean with lots of seating and tons of cute kid art on the walls. Although, I didn't have any, they also serve Memories Ice Cream in their shakes and treats; Memories is one of the top rated ice cream places in NH. Definitely stop in if you get a chance! read more

Stopped by for a solo lunch after going to the dentist. Service was quick and food is always good. A solid burger joint but bring your hearing protection. The menu is mostly burgers but they do them well. I got onion rings as a side and they were good, freshly cut. Cute atmosphere. They have a small beer selection that hits the basics, maybe a little too heavy on those friggin' IPA's. Mimsy had the farmhouse burger, the bun is too small to handle it all, so it was a gooey mess quickly. I got the Big Mouth, good, but again the bun is too small. They come in these little baskets that are too small for the burger. Mimsy went through about a dozen puny napkins dealing with her train wreck of a burger. We need bigger buns, bigger baskets and bigger napkins here. The server was very friendly, but she was in the weeds. The place became deluged with shouting kids. This location is popular with young parents with kids, on the weekends anyway, so it was raucous, reminded me of an elementary school cafeteria. read more

Love Lexies! For a quality burger you can't beat the price. I love the Green Lantern burger, their chimichurri is so flavorful. You really can't go wrong with any of their burger combos. We also tried the fish tacos which were pretty tasty as well! Food was ready in ~10 min and the staff is always friendly. There are places to sit and eat but I always pick up and take it to go. Lexie's is a small regional chain that brings New Hampshire some great burgers and fries. The menu is a bit small, but with the build your own burger option, the sky suddenly becomes the limit. The Urban Cowboy is always a great burger option. The hot fries are a great accompaniment (as are the truffle fries). Service was great and the burgers were delicious. One of my favorite place to get burger in the area. The selection of burger is great, the quality is always good, burgers are very tasty and not super expensive. They never disappoints and I keep coming back. They offer online ordering which is super convenient and easy. My usual is the Urban Cowboy which is heavenly but today I went for the special burger. Rapscallion - Burger with muenster cheese, bacon, roasted mushrooms, crispy onions, scallion aioli. And it was also very good. The patty is cooked to perfection with a little pink inside. The bacon adds a nice texture and saltiness. The mushrooms a rich flavor and the crispy onion gives it a little crunch. The Scallion aioli was spot on, very tasty and ties the burger together. Another of my favorite is the Hot Fries, housecut fries topped with sriracha ketchup, sriracha aioli, jalapenos & scallions. This is my to go as it adds to the fried and a perfect compliment to the burger. My drink of choice is the Cucumber Mint Lemonade. It's super refreshing and the perfect combination with the burger and fries. read more

Lexie's Dover - Sat night 27 Apr: For takeout dinner we had two orders of fish tacos and one order of onion rings. The onion rings were good...however the fish tacos were abysmal. They were significantly over cooked and borderline inedible. If we had been eating at the restaurant we would have returned them in an instant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed by the time we served at home and realized how bad the fish tacos were. Not a good experience and definitely $$ wasted. read more

Friendly service and excellent burger. Loved the hush (a burger sauce) as they call it on the menu. Lots of interesting combination of flavors in the fries, sauces, and burgers. Sitting by the window was a little hot, but it was July and not surprising. Easy parking in front of the store or across the street. I love Lexie's in general, I loved the Portsmouth location, loved the Durham and when. I eat in I love the Dover location. But all 3 times I've ordered takeout the fries have been burnt. My most recent takeout experience was 2 burgers and 3 orders of truffle fries. All 3 orders of fries were burnt to the point where they were inedible. You could literally snap each of them like a stick. Everytime we eat in we get excellent fries. All 3 times I've ordered takeout the fries have been burnt. I messaged the store about the issue and they left me on read. I'll probably give them another chance but I'll be checking my fries before I leave and suggest anyone else does as well. read more

The PERFECT lunch here today folks. I ordered the hey guy and my wife had the Instant Classic. Both were excellent. We each had the Bistro fries which were delicious. My wife had the cucumber mint lemonade, which she loved, and I had a black and white shake! What??! So good. In my last review, I mentioned I wish they had the mini chocolate chip cookies like the Portsmouth location. Lo and freaking behold, the mini chocolate chip cookies came out with the bill! When you walk past this establishment it may not blow your mind, when you take your first bite be prepared for heaven in your mouth! This place has the best burgers in the Seacoast! I first tried Lexie's in Exeter, NH; the Put a Ring On It is to die for! My fiancé is EXTREMELY difficult to please, I swear he has something to complain about with every meal he orders. He gave Lexie's of Dover a solid 9.7 out of 10! I'm sure that's only because I ordered him one burger and not two. The staff is friendly; if you're ordering take out you can go for a beautiful stroll around downtown Dover while you wait for your order to be cooked. Definitely a burger staple of the Seacoast! Very cool menu - loved the names of the burgers! We were there on Black Friday and it wasn't too busy. We just wanted to split a meal so we went with the Green Muenster burger, the fry special of the day and the shake of the day. The food was reasonably priced and came out fast which we appreciated. The burger was awesome. It had muenster cheese, bacon and avocado on a perfectly cooked patty. It was so good I kind of wished we each got one instead of sharing. The shake was also delicious - it was made with chai tea and had a very unique flavor. Super decadent and yummy. The fries were just okay - they had ranch and bacon on top but that was just on the middle so you had a bunch of overcooked and greasy fries that were just hanging out and boring. I did like the ranch they used. We'll stop in again and get two burgers (and no fries) next time! read more

I see the same people working every time I go into this location, they never stop moving and they've never messed up an order of mine. I like my burgers with blue cheese and everytime I add it elsewhere they omit the standard cheese, not here. When I go to Lexies I get the same thing. A burger, fries and a half and half. It is always the best! I have never had a bad meal at Lexies. The first time I went, I had forgot to tell them I wanted it well done. It was not, but that was my own fault! So when I go now, I tell them and it is always perfect. I do enjoy Lexies! Great spot with a friendly waitstaff and delicious food. The cucumber mint lemonade is a wonderful balance of sweet and refreshing. I had the "Burning Down The House" black bean burger (veggie) and it was very flavorful. It could have used a little more heat with the toppings, but it was still delightful. It's a hamburger joint that should be in the fast food category, except getting your burger isn't fast. The basic unadorned burger is $7. Everything you add such as tomato, onion, cheese, etc., except lettuce, has a price tag on it. The burgers are good, but quite greasy and sometimes close to raw in places. They're cooked medium and served on a nice roll. However, the place has zero atmosphere. It's neon bright, stark and noisy. For comparison, there's more atmosphere in a McDonald's or Burger King. Burgers and fries are served in a small paperboard tray much like you get when you order fries from a food truck. Fries are much thinner than the typical fast food fries and cooked to just short of burned. They too are greasy. Soft drinks come in a plastic bottle and will set you back about $3 each. Overall, a double burger at McDonalds or BK will serve you better and come at a much lower cost. Our tab for 2 cheeseburgers with tomatoes, onion & pickles, one small fries and two sodas was just short of $30. There are far better options available for a quick meal. read more
