Clockwise from top left: salmon tartare, scallop carpaccio, vegetable spring rolls, veggie quiche, seafood risotto

Delicious food and very kind staff! I come back every time I'm in Paris and they are always welcoming. The menu is in French and English. My favorite dish is the seafood risotto, but the pumpkin soup and salmon tartare were memorable too. I highly recommend stopping by after a day of shopping in the Marais!

Very cute tapas restaurant! We made a reservation on a Saturday evening for two people. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (across the street). The plates are very tiny but oh so delicious. Our favorites were the anchovies, scallop carpaccio, and octopus. Friendly wait staff too. I'd love to visit again when in Paris!

6 tapas for €32

Review #2000!! Les Petites Bouchees was our first dinner of my recent Paris trip. I was traveling with a friend who had never been and so the pressure was on to pick something good. We weren't starving so French style tapas sounded like a great idea. We opted for the 6 tapas for €32 which is a bargain! Portion sizes for tapas are pretty generous, and we weren't able to finish everything. We had: *Mozzarella beignets - aka mozzarella sticks. This was delicious in the way that fried cheese is. *Veggie spring rolls - fresh, crunchy and a nice contrast to some of the heavier dishes. *Gravlax - this was a nightly special and if it's on the menu I highly recommend it. It ended up being our favorite dish. *Chicken brochettes - again, a nightly special. Served with a light Asian glaze, it was nicely done. *Kefta with homemade tzatziki - I really liked the spice blend on this *Pork ribs- okay, this one not so much. The glaze was fabulous - honey and thyme - but the actual ribs were gristly and fatty. I think a longer, slower method might be better? Despite being full, we ordered dessert (because: vacation) - the creme brûlée was pure comfort food with just a hint of cinnamon. My friend ordered the cheesecake which was a huge slice and looked homemade. Anyway, service was great. There isn't really an English menu but our server kindly explained everything. Prices are totally reasonable and the food is fun and tasty. Great place for a date night or to meet up with friends and try a bunch if different things.

This is a cozy little restaurant on a side street in the Marais. It looked like there were about a dozen tables inside, but it didn't feel too cramped. I guess the small size goes along with what they serve: small plates aka tapas. The woman working there, who I presume is the owner, was working busily to serve the whole restaurant, but service was still good. We ordered a few small plates and one main. Everything was delicious. I had the cod croquettes, mozzarella sticks and kafta. The kafta wasn't too spicy, pretty mild in fact. Prices were reasonable, about €6 per plate with some an extra €2. The beer they have on tap was pretty delicious also! It does get pretty busy the later it gets, so go in early to guarantee you don't have to wait.

This bustling Marais small restaurant is a gem! What lovely people and am inviting atmosphere. The made room for us by the window and explained their small plate concept. I had a salad with bread and cheese and my husband had two small plates. Everything was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed our meal at this neighborhood spot. I would come here again. Highly recommend!

A charming little space with a friendly service. This place is all about little bites (tapas). The food is inventive and fresh. I had the blood sausage on served on small pancake like dough. I also got the fish croquette too. All was very good and well seasoned. Make reservations as they get booked and turn people away for dinner.

Small Tapas style plates are a great way to try lots of different things. A perfect choice for discovering some of the delights of Paris food. This restaurant offers some of the most beautiful small plates I've ever seen. The stuffed peppers were especially beautiful. The food matches the elegant decor. You can pick six for €35 which is plenty enough for two people for dinner. The usual reluctant parisian waiter service is replaced with a smile here. Select a great bottle of wine, sit back and enjoy.

Fabulous! While strolling in Le Marais in Paris, we passed by this super cozy french tapas. The waitress was super friendly & seated us quickly by the window. She tried to explain the menu to us in english & gave her recommendations. We'll, we pretty much ordered everything. We had the stuffed pepper, spring rolls, calamari (fried squid), salmon, duck & chicken. Delicious! I'm so happy we found this place. Great location, cozy ambience with lots of pillows & fantastic tapas. The waitress even gave us recommendations where to go shopping in the area. Love! Highly recommended & will come back again! Great for a couple or a small group of friends.

Le Porte Pot - Sketchnote of our dinner at Le Porte-Pot in 2019. It was fabulous!

Le Porte Pot is probably what you imagine when you think of a bistro in the heart of Paris…read more Nestled in an alley just a few blocks from the Notre Dame cathedral, this charming spot seemed like a fitting place for my first meal in France. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating to English speakers (they have a menu printed in English), while the food is simple and hearty. I went with a starter of escargot and a rabbit special. The escargot were phenomenal: pleasantly chewy and bathed in an addictive garlic butter. Fortunately, it came with a tin of fresh bread to soak up every drop. The rabbit, which came with smoky pork belly, dried currants, and mushrooms over mashed potatoes, was a little subdued, but tasty nonetheless. Paired with a house merlot, it was a delicious (and affordable) meal. Be warned: this place is small and will get packed after 8pm.

This place will make you forget every stereotype you've heard about unfriendly service in Paris…read more We walked in during dinner time, without reservation, not knowing how small this place was. Though they had all their tables reserved, they told us we could take a table if we didn't mind wrapping up our dinner in less than 1:20, since that's when the next reservation would come in. We didn't mind, so they sat us. Then they brought out a handwritten board menu in English, which they sat right next to us so we could clearly see everything. They answered our questions, and were extremely friendly and helpful in the process. The food itself was fantastic. I had the bone marrow as an appetizer, which just MELTED in my mouth. Mmmm. My main entree was the beef skirt with french fries -- all of which was perfectly cooked. Their house wine was excellent and not expensive. All things considered, this was easily one of my top 3 favorite meals during a full week in Paris.

Hidden in an angle street of rue de la roquette, this place has a dozen wooden tables and benches. It is fully decorated by its wine bottles so you know what you step into. The owners are extremely friendly and passionate about the wines they serve, which they know perfectly. They go mostly for organic wines and have a preference for Languedoc reds which they find have a better quality/price ratio. There are a few wines from the other regions as well. In total, you'll find probably 50-80 wines on the menu, all deliberately chosen by the owner who will be happy to talk about them. This place is a mix between a wine shop and a restaurant: you can buy the bottles to go or drink it in the restaurant for an additional premium (6 or 8 euros, can't remember). The food is simple but good: charcuterie or cheese plates to share, some grilled meat or fish. Try the calamari and the burrata as appetizers, they're pretty good. All in all, you spend a great time in this place: you discover new wines and you eat some good food. This is a great place to bring a group of friends!
