One of my friends recommended this place, and I had to go check it out. We came right at opening and were able to get a nice seat (although to get a seat outside, I think you need to come even earlier). Their wine selection is amazing, the food is so flavorful, and I was able to spend a really nice evening here drinking, snacking, and talking.

It's about time to provide my review on this amazing wine bar. :) I've been coming here a few times, and they never disappoint me! Their food is always tasty, innovative, and focused on seasonal ingredients. The service is friendly, all servers speak English, and they don't treat you as tourists! Just like their menu says - "Everything...I want to eat everything..." As most of you may know, lots of restaurants in Paris close on Sundays and/or Mondays, but they are open everyday from 6:30pm. Since they don't accept reservations and being a small venue, you just need to be here a bit early - say 6:10-15pm if you would like to be seated right away.

The duck at Frenchie might be my favourite dish of my whole Paris trip. Everything here is stunning!

Even though we had to wait about 30-45 minutes, Frenchie was absolutely worth it--especially with a few glasses of wine to pass the time! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly, making the wait much more enjoyable. We tried the flatbread, stuffed squid, Thai eggplant salad, and mussels tagliolini, and everything was outstanding. Each dish was so flavorful, and I would highly recommend all of them. The banoffee dessert was the perfect ending to the meal--light, with a subtle banana flavor and velvety cream that was simply delicious. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable dining experience!

First meal in Paris. The place came highly recommended for good reason. The staff were so friendly and helpful in providing food recommendations and wine pairings. It is a small bar including shared tables - but it just adds to the atmosphere! This place does not take reservations- arrive early or be prepared to wait. All food was made to order and so delicious! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I was very tempted to go a second time during our short trip!

The ambiance and host are a 10/10! I love the cozy and fun environment that it provides. The food is absolutely delicious and I would love to go again. It seems like the menu changes as well which is great. Some of the sauces and flavors overlapped a bit too much in a few of the dishes but overall, everything was still good (especially stuffed squid and the pasta). I would highly recommend this place. It was worth the 40 minute wait! And we were able to just stand outside with a glass of wine while waiting.

The food was delicious and the wine was excellent, but the service was shockingly unfriendly. We understand we're Americans visiting Paris, but this was the only place on our entire trip where we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. For a restaurant we chose specifically for our anniversary, the attitude we received felt dismissive and, at times, rude. We do speak some French and approached the evening with kindness, but it made no difference. A very disappointing experience and not at all the special ending to our trip we hoped for.

Wow, wow, wow! Sister restaurant to the Michelin place next door: Frenchie. Colombian chef. Excellent! Pulled pork tacos & bacon scones, you NEED to order along with the Pasta Fagottini

This place is small and extremely busy but after eating here I could see why.,:wow by far one of the best places to eat in Paris. We ordered a series of small plates to share: Bacon scone: wow you could taste the maple and the contrast of the salty bacon along with how soft...10/10 you must order. It is small and only comes with 3 and it was so good I wanted to order it multiple times Tacos de Cochon: for Americans this is basically pulled pork tacos and they were FANTASTIC. My only complaint is they only come with 2 tacos but they had so much flavor....i would definitely order again Pasta Fagottini: I know I said the food was great but this was FANTASTIC. The best item on the menu 20/10 must order Flan Vanille: This dessert was better than the Frenchie Banoffee the kiwi ice cream at the top was refreshing and the crust was light and flaky If you are ever in Paris you must come here!

Came after dinner at their restaurant Frenchie (across the street) and grabbed two stools at the bar. Vibes were immaculate and the servers know everything about wine (duh). Go here.

Madame who's running the show -- on a serious power trip.

The location is popular with tourists, and the food was okay. It is mostly deep fried and greasy, more like pub food presented in a French style than anything particularly memorable. Service was what you would expect in a touristy part of Paris, not especially warm, but not terrible either. However, one server in particular seemed to be on a power trip, seating people she appeared to favor rather than following the actual waitlist order. It felt disorganized at best and borderline discriminatory at worst. The restaurant does not take reservations. While you can leave your name, they won't take your phone number, so you're expected to stand around and order a drink while waiting for a table to open up. It's also worth noting that a service charge is already included in the bill, yet they still prompt you to tip again with preset options (10%, 15%, 20%), which feels a bit pushy. Definitely will not return.

Last night's menu - our favorites were the bacon scones, the bao and the Tiramichoix

Perhaps the bar used to share the kitchen with the restaurant upstairs, but this did not appear to be the case during our visit in September 2016. My husband, sister and I visited Verjus with the hopes of enjoying a bottle or two of wine as well as some heavy tapas. When I mentioned seeing the tapas menu the bartender got confused and said they only offer a small selection of cheese and charcuterie at the bar, but nothing cooked. We attempted to make a reservation at the restaurant upstairs, but unfortunately they were booked solid. We each ordered a glass of wine and split several plates of prosciutto and cheese at the bar. Everything was nice, but we were looking for dinner and the bar was a bit warmer than I would have preferred so after we finished our wine and cheese we ventured off elsewhere. This tiny wine bar is very charming spot to grab a glass of wine, but don't expect to find any tapas here.

Call in advance to make dinner reservations because we did not and the only opening was at 9:45pm. So we opted for the wine bar downstairs, which serves tapas. At first I was a little bummed about not being able to dine at the restaurant upstairs, but the wine bar was FANTASTIC! Here's what we ordered, with the best being at the top of the list. 1. The GNOCCHI was to die for...the pieces were small and ever-so-slightly crispy on the outside. 2. The SPICY FRIED CHICKEN (yes, we order manfood staples when my bf is with me) was so juicy on the inside yet crispy on the outside. The chicken was bursting with flavor. 3. The FLANK STEAK with CHIMICHURRI sauce was surprisingly tender and flavorful. 4. We also had the CELERY ROOT GYOZA. This was hands down the best food that we had in Paris. I can only imagine what the upstairs restaurant serves! The bartender was super cool and was helpful in recommending wine pairings with our food. She poured samples to make sure that we were happy with our wine selections. She also speaks perfectly good English if you're wondering! Thank you yelp for helping us pick out a fantastic restaurant to end our week in Paris. Merci beaucoup!

I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!
