My daughter and I did the classic wine tasting and we both had a great time while learning interesting facts about wine. You go through a few rooms in the cave, all of them beautiful, while tasting a white and two red wines. Our sommelier was very knowledgeable and passionate about his cCave, A cool thing to do in Paris.

Jared and I went here with the Go City pass for a tour and it was super informative! We're not very big wine drinkers but we learned all about the different regions of production, the types of soil needed, how its best to grow grapes on a slope for maximum sun... there was a cool room where we got to pretend to be a sommelier and smell a bunch of different scents and try to match them up (i.e. a fruity station, a nutty and chocolatey station) - it was very immersive! On the tour, we got to try 3 different wines; my favorite was a pinot noir. The cellars themselves were very cool - they used to be the King's old personal wine cellar! Would recommend doing a tour here.

This was a Wine and Cheese Tasting With a Sommelier that was educational and delightful. There were eight of us. In a wine cavern. 10 wines and cheese matching 5 red, 5 white. Each one was different from the last. Almost 2 hours with the small tour. One woman had been before. And this wasn't the same at all. But she had the same host. All guests were Americans and the event was in English. Best hundred I've spent all week.

I did the free self guided tour but purchased the wine tasting at the end. My friend and I each got a tasting, the basic at 19euros and the mid one at 34euros. Plenty of wine even when split. The staff was super knowledgeable and shared so much with us! We ended to buying a bottle from each of the tastings and very much enjoyed those the next two days.

Very cool spot to visit and go in the caves/tunnels. However the 3 wines we tasted were very mediocre - not worth the 19 euros we paid. Recommend doing the free tour without tastings to see the place. Also the "sommelier" was shitting on natural wines when I asked if they had any. But they spoke English which was quite nice.

This was one of my fave activities in Paris, and I'm so glad I booked it since we got free access from our Paris Pass. The only extra step is to book a reservation online, print your ticket, and you're good to go. We had the option to either get a guided tour with our wine tasting, or a free bottle of wine if we used the audio guide. We opted for the guided tour, and ended buying one bottle to share at the end. It was very informative, and enjoyable to learn about wine from each region of France. We were encouraged to ask questions, and it was helpful that our guide spoke English. There's a fun interactive game in the middle of the tour. Not to mention, the wine cellar below was exciting to explore and look at! Highly recommend that you book this if you are visiting!! Cheers!

François est exceptionnel ! He is very knowledgeable and an amazing sommelier. We wanted to continue learning about more and after knowing him we decided to study more about the wine industry!

The wine tour came with the Paris Pass, and was a highlight for us this trip to Paris. We opted for the free self-guided tour and bottle of wine. So glad we did. The tour guide had a heavy accent and rushed the group through each area. We, on the other hand, took our time looking at each activity, taking lots of photos, and reading everything displayed. I highly recommend experiencing the caves and marveling at how serious the French take their wine. You really can't have a bad glass.

I was looking at the Paris pass and saw this place. Why not?! It's tucked away and only a quick walk from the Louvre. Some decent bakeries and a little park in the area too. Anyway, it's a small little shop on the surface but a super cool building underneath. We pre ordered tickets which I recommend. Just makes sure you have a spot and can customize your experience. It was a small group maybe 10 people. All nationalities, very fun. We got started with the tour and they walk you through lots of topics. From soil to regions to labels. Very cool and honestly ask questions. It makes it more fun. No questions and it feels like a bad school field trip. And you really don't appreciate the guides till they start with the questions. After your tastings you get to the bar and finish your tour. It was a fun way to spend a few hours. Was it the best one in town? Maybe not but it was well done.

I booked a tasting/tour with my Paris Pass and, despite my issues with Paris Pass, this place was amazing! The tour guide, François, was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and over all a great person. He really unveiled the mystique of the French sommelier. The wine tastings were generous and surprisingly delicious given that I generally prefer wines from South America and elsewhere. I recommend it 100%

    Was a very good time!

As I sipped my glass of petit sirah last night, I thought about how much more I now know about what was in that glass. All thanks to a wine tasting course at Les Caves du Louvre. The class was engaging, informative, and well paced. We were able to test all of our senses and taste several wines all while gaining interesting knowledge from a handsome sommelier! He was very patient and made all of us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable...no matter the questions asked. He was no nice and encouraging. And easy on the eyes as well! The location was very easy to find. The space was thoughtfully designed, creating a sort of cellar-like feel. Not stuffy or claustrophobic at all. Want to gain some knowledge about the juice that comes from Jesus to impress and sprinkle your friends with? Hop on in and grab a seat. Oh, be sure to make a reservation first!

This place was amazing! We've been on plenty of wine tours and tastings before, but this took things to a whole new level. Our guide was so knowledgeable, friendly, and funny! He made the whole experience even better than it'd have been otherwise. It was neat to experience the different senses and steps in the process. Highly recommend!

The United States needs more wine shops like this!…read more We stumbled upon this place after the beer shop we were looking for was closed for the afternoon. I mean, we're in Paris so you gots to drink some vin, oui? The owner, Phillippe, was absolutely lovely and chatted with us about the various wines they have on tap (40!). How it works: It's a card system that is loaded with 20 Euros. You go around and put the card into the machine, pick the wine you want and the sample size. You can get just a sample, medium fill or a full glass. Once you're done drinking, hand the card to the cashier and pay the amount you drank. Most of the sample sizes cost around 1-1.5Euro. For me, this is a great way to sample a variety of wines without committing to a full glass. There is plenty of seating on the main floor as well as the lower level. Bringing some snacks and it would make for a great evening!

[If you like sweet dessert wines they're all downstairs!] Prices for each tasting range based on how much you want (half or full glass) and the type of wine. Philippe the owner was especially friendly and super helpful with explaining the process, the wines, and which meats and cheeses paired best.

When paternal figures are this emphatic, I listen. Housed in a ex-gas station by the canal, it's an unpretentious wine and cheese cave with a few tables run by two friends Marwen (cheese guy) and Sélim (wine guy). You can come in pick up a fromage or three and a bottle to go. Or you can stay leave it to Marwen to bring a planche of lovely cheeses with charcuterie and Sélim to pick out a wine to go with the selection and your taste. I wholeheartedly recommend the second choose your own adventure option. Not only do they have excellent recommendations, the owners are incredibly nice and hospitable. April 11, Montmartre Pastry and Chocolate Food Tour, Paris…read more Our family of four with a son 9 and daughter 10 did a pastry and chocolate tour through Montmartre and it ended up being a really fun way to explore the area. Arrival and First Impressions The group was small, just our family and another family, which worked out well. The shops we visited were tiny so taking turns going in and out was part of the experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and walked us through side streets, small parks, and local spots we would never have found on our own. The Highlights We stopped at six different locations including chocolatiers, bakeries, and pastry shops. Highlights included a choux pastry, crepes, madeleines, artisan eclairs, and multiple chocolate tastings. The final stop for hot chocolate and macarons was excellent. The macarons were so good we ended up buying some to bring home. The tour was not just about food. We saw the Love Wall, hidden streets, and learned about the history of Montmartre including small details about the neighborhood that made it feel more personal. The Challenges The guide did not have a very loud voice so in a bigger group it might have been harder to follow, but with our small group it worked fine. Would We Return Yes, especially to try a different tour. It was a great mix of food and exploring. Final Thoughts This tour is a great way to experience Montmartre beyond just walking around. The combination of food, history, and hidden locations made it a memorable and worthwhile experience.
