I was really in the mood for some pho the other day so I made the trip to this little spot. The dinning room was clean and modern looking but nothing too fancy and the staff was very nice and attentive. As it was a new spot for me I ordered 2 of my favorites that I try everywhere I can, fresh spring roll and beef and meatball pho. Spring roll was very fresh tasting with an excellent peanut sauce. The stand out however, was the fanastic pho! Broth was excellent meat was perfect and the meatballs where awesom! I am looking forward to stopping by again and branching out a bit! Very busy place. And I guess with good reason. Our pho and vermicelli bowls were good. The chicken in the bowl was very flavorful, but as I usually find the grilled chicken in these dishes-- too dry. I want so bad to love this place. I've eaten here three times and will continue to do so. I love pho, and while pho Vietnam is much, much better, this place is just so much more convenient. The good, the pho wasn't bad and this place is close. The bad: everything else. I don't want to be mean, this place is really new. And getting traffic through this location seems to be difficult (i.e. Mimas meatballs). I truly wish the owner the best and hope they continue to improve. The pho was very large, but mostly noodles. The meat was sparse and was passable but not all edible. The broth was bland. All I could really taste was a hint of fish sauce. But, still pho and I'd still eat it often. The rest of the menu we sampled was very lack luster. Chicken wings lacked flavor or sauce. Ginger chicken and curry chicken were both really not good. What little flavor there was wasn't the best. Curry chicken was basically a bland soup. All tasted homemade and not in a good way. Wife refuses to eat here again. So all that being said, I really wish this place well. I'll continue to eat here and update my review if and when it improves. Update: ok so I've been back a bunch of times. I still don't think it's the best pho I've ever had. I think things are overpriced for the portions you get. But they do have some really good options on the menu. The dumplings (steamed and fried) are awesome. The fried rice is really good. The pork chop is ridiculously good with a great char. The pad Thai is pretty good. Beef and broccoli was ok. Bumping it up a star as if you know what to order, you can get a really tasty, although kind of stingy for the prices, meal. read more

The presentation of the food was nice. The food was only ok and the chicken was dry but it did taste very fresh and clean. The price was a little on the higher side. The service was a little slow with the food coming out but the servers were very nice and kind. Overall it was a good experience probably a 3.5 in this little town. Thought there was a Thai restaurant along this road...but found this Vietnamese restaurant. So glad I stopped in. Had the sizzling crepe (BANH XEO) as it is called in Vietnam. It's a street food usually like our hotdogs, pretzels, etc., NYC. Only thing different; one is to take a piece of the crepe & "roll" a leaf of lettuce around the crepe piece then dip. It's a finger food. Here they serve the crepe with lettuce, mint leaves, cilantro & Thai basil (??). ANYHOW, it's so good...!!! Nice & crispy crepe as it should be. I do NOT like fish sauce BUT their dipping fish sauce is delish. I made this many years ago. Since I ate at Le's, last Thursday, I made this crepe yesterday. My recipe yielded 4 crepes with pork, chicken, shrimp & mung bean sprouts plus the garnishes & dip. I ordered their seafood pho to go, also. I was pleasantly surprised to find the flavor of their broth very good. I can't wait to go back...!! I have to try those immense spring rolls...AND BANH XEO...again...!!!! "I'll be back." There is a bit of a wait for one's order to be served. BUT probably 'cause it all seems to be made fresh. The prices are good, too, for the quality & serving size. Octavia (staff) is VERY pleasant. The Norwalk area is severely lacking in quality Vietnamese restaurants, with the exception of Hoi An Pho & Grill off route 7, so I was pleasantly surprised to run across Le's Kitchen at lunch time when I happened to be out running around Danbury. This place is tucked away in the back corner of a small collection of shops so you may miss it if you blink an eye while driving down Mill Plain Rd. but it's worth finding for sure. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy while the service is extremely friendly and fast. Nothing fancy here, which isn't a bad thing, as it reminds me of having a meal with friend's or family in their kitchen. My visit was for a late lunch/snack so I kept it simple with a regular sized order of the chicken pho along with a small pot of green tea. The pho was delicious and full of flavor. The accompanying toppings (basil leaves, bean sprouts, lime wedge, and jalapeno) were all fresh and tasty as well. I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you are in the area and I will certainly be returning at the next opportunity to try some of the other items on their menu. read more

I moved here from Los Angeles and am so used to my Vietnamese food that I was so scared I wasn't going to find decent pho and bun bowls... and Le's didn't disappoint! The broth on the pho here is legit! I would like some more variation in the types of pho available. We both ordered the large (middle sized) and ended up taking some home. My husband ordered rare beef with extra grilled beef, he raved more on the grilled beef. I had just the rare beef, it was enough for me and actually rare (too many pho places end up serving this well done). Nice fast and friendly service. The star of the night was the Vietnamese fried rice. Mmmmmmm, so good. We also had crispy fried wonton appetizer -- not going to lie, a little greasy and overdone. Ate at Pho Vietnam the last time we traveled to the area. We will be going here for pho whenever in the area from now on. EDIT to ADD: Had the crispy wontons and egg rolls this last time. First off, we loved Mima's that was in this location. When it closed we were seriously missing a great take out or casual sit down that also offered BYOB. Then came Le's Kitchen. When we first started coming to Le's Kitchen there were only ever a few other customers in it. When this happens at other restaurants, the service often suffers. Le's was always attentive and beyond friendly. Their food also wowed us. Not to mention we were delighted to have a BYOB spot back. I am so happy to see that Le's has really gained a following - they deserve it. When we still lived in the area, the last few times we went it was PACKED. There were no open tables. Although sad that our little spot was no longer a secret, I'm so happy for these guys! We've had the dumplings, pad thai, and fried rice. All are delicious. Loved the food and service here! We wanted a warm bowl of pho, and this was the closest Vietnamese place, so we stopped by. The place is clean and pretty average in size. We were promptly seated and food arrived fairly quickly after ordering. The summer rolls were well put together and quite good, basically what you would expect. The veggies were all fresh and tasty. And then the pho. Oh, the pho. I could eat their pho every day for a year. The broth is savory, deep, and clean. Again, all the toppings were fresh and well prepared, and the noodles were perfectly cooked too. There isn't much more to say- it's simple and really really good. I was in Danbury CT on the tail end of a long business trip. I was feeling a cold coming on, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a Vietnamese place in the area that delivered to my hotel! I ordered the pho deluxe and spring rolls. Delivery was quick, and their app kept me updated with texts throughout. The spring rolls were pretty standard, exactly what you would expect but nothing special. The pho was really quite good. My expectations were low, but the short rib and broth were really tasty, flavorful but not overspiced, and portions were generous. Hard to even write this review bc we've been a few times and it's been good overall. I was there today, for my birthday lunch, and my friend was served his appetizer and my meal came out as well. When I ordered, I stated A FEW TIMES, that I needed the cook to pan fry the tofu well done and if it came out mushy, I'd send it back. (I have the same conversation every time I've been) I explained why and of course, it came out like mush. The waitress apologized and said it would take a few minutes to make a new one. Then my friend's soup came and mine wasn't ready. No joke-7 or 8 tables ordered AFTER I sent my food back to be fixed and they literally all got served before my food ever came back. My friend's food was all eaten and when I went to find out what was up, for the third time, she had no idea and was super clueless. I said I didn't want it at that point and remarked we shouldn't be charged for the other since we couldn't even eat our meal together. Unfortunately she had an attitude, which we both then responded to... not a good day for Le's. At all... I'm a huge pho guy. They have 3 sizes, Regular, Large, and X-Large bowls. The "Large" is $17...ok a bit high but whatever. Pho is really good but the problem is the portion size. I have been to other restaurants where they purposely skimp on noodles and ingredients so you have to order more and this is one of those places. Tbh, there should be no reason to order more when you are paying $17 for a bowl of pho. I get that there are some people with bigger appetites and that's fine but the standard portion size should be more than enough to fill up a normal adult. What they do is basically give you a regular (aka Small) size bowl with more broth. Honestly, just take a look at the amount of noodles as compared to the broth and you will notice it right away. Excellent Vietnamese food. To their credit they have survived the pandemics. We ate inside twice before COVID and have done takeout ever since. I particularly like the Steamed Dumplings, the beef Pho and the grilled pork noodle bowls. The fried rice is delicious and they make differently than Chinese as they use lac Xuong sausages. I had the Vegan Pho and tofu spring rolls for lunch today. I had to post this review because the food was something out of this world. The Pho had fresh veggies and the noodles were so good not clumpy not mushy. The bean sprouts were so fresh and what a crunch. The tofu spring rolls were so fresh and were fully loaded. The fresh veggies and the crunch biting into it with the peanut sauce. ..Yum. I added sriracha and wowza. I took a tofu Bahn Mi sandwich home for dinner. The sandwich was beautiful and delicious. The portion sizes give a diner a chance to take some leftovers home and relive the delicious experience. The chef is very friendly snd my waiter was so attentive and kind.
