My colleagues and I stopped by here before our presentation up the street. It was cold and rainy during our visit. We wanted something warm. It is was a small restaurant with a bistro feel. We ordered egg rolls to start and they were delicious. Follow were the bowls of pho. The Pho Tai and special were very tasty. Our go-to for Pho in the area. Super friendly staff, very fresh ingredients, tasty food and a very reasonable cost. If I could suggest anything, the broth needs to come to the table at a much higher temperature to cook the meats to taste. It should cool off over time, but still be piping hot to maintain its taste throughout the meal. read more

The food from Le's Kitchen is consistently good. I've only ordered takeout from here and it's always packed when I pick up my food. It's popular for a reason - delicious food and a cute little restaurant! Some things that I tend to order on repeat are the Vietnamese Crepes, the Fresh Spring Rolls and the Steamed Dumplings, also the Thai Tea. This place should be called Le Toilet. It is filthy, with dirt everywhere including the forks. Not only that, when I complained about the terrible taste of the dish that was placed in front of me, I was told by the owner, that they always make it that way. I refused to eat it and they never even offered to fix the problem. And even though I NEVER said I would not pay the bill, they called a police officer in and had him stand by to make sure just in case. This place has an excellent Bun bowl. Everything in the bowl is well done but more so than the protein the freshness and abundance of the herbs stood out the most to me. A lot of places treat the cilantro, mint, carrot etc. like an afterthought, this place makes sure they are fresh and abundant. The pork in my bowl was marinated, char grilled, and juicy just fyi. I normally don't review places based on one entree but this experience was so good I bet the rest of the menu is quality. Small space and small staff but they are pleasant and attentive. I'm going to make this brief because I still stand behind everything I said in my former review, but I'm still frequenting Le's as my favorite Vietnamese spot in the Danbury area. Not only has their food been super consistent throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic, but their service still knocks it out of the park time and time again. I have never experienced a rude interaction with the staff, had my call dropped while being on hold, or encountered any sort of negative situation while ordering take-out/dining in. An unexpectedly solid Vietnamese joint in Danbury! I am always on the lookout for good viet food and was thrilled to see so many positive reviews on Yelp. We ordered delivery through Vroom and the transaction couldn't have gone any smoother. The website let us know when our order was received, when the food was made, when it went out for delivery, and expected time of arrival. Ours came within 30 minutes during lunch time, so props to them for the speedy and seamless service! In terms of the food, my team and I ordered spring rolls (goi cuon) and the grilled pork vermicelli noodle bowls with egg rolls (bun thit nuong cha gio). The spring rolls came in a pair for $5 and were well packed/rolled. It comes with a container of peanut dipping sauce; I just wish they gave a little bit more as I went through it too fast (or maybe I am just a dipping fiend). Highly recommend ordering this as an appetizer as it's refreshing and light yet extremely flavorful. The lunch entrees were $14 which is a lot more expensive than what I normally pay in NY or Hartford. I have to keep reminding myself that this is Danbury and that higher pricing in CT is completely normal. That being said, they do offer 10% when you check in on yelp or show your student ID card! I also really appreciate how much food they packed into the containers. They don't skimp on the meats or noodles and it's filled to the brim. By the end of it my team and I were completely induced into a satisfying food coma. Again, I do wish they gave more fish sauce in the container as it wasn't enough to cover all of the noodles, but the egg rolls and juicy pork slices saved the day. Overall great experience. I'll definitely be back to try the pho and banh mis and would recommend this to anyone in the area. read more

We came here for lunch because we were in the area. We both ordered pho. The pho was good, but it needed something. Flavors were not really developed. The chicken was hard. It was as if the chicken was carved off a breast that had been in the fridge and added to the soup. Also, some pieces were cut too close to the bone making it a bit unappetizing. It was my 1st experience here last night getting takeout. Let me break it down: Pros: you get 10% off first time you check in on yelp which the guy let me use even on the takeout which was cool. The classic spring rolls come with 2 for 5 bucks. They are served cold with the clear rice paper stuffed with veggies, shrimp and pork... soooo good! Loved the sauce it came with! My bf got the beef pho which was delicious. I got the house salad (very good) with the "crispy tofu" which leads me to the cons... Cons: the "crispy tofu" wasn't crispy at all, tasted like it was deep fried and frozen a week ago, zero seasoning or flavor to it, gross texture. Just overall not good. LOVED the Salas dressing though so definitely would go with a different protein next time (disappointing because I love tofu). The decor inside was pretty dingy and seems like it's better as just a takeout place. There's a bunch of small tables but the decor is not inviting and they didn't seem to serve alcohol... This place is just what Mill Plain road needs! So happy to find this Vietnamese restaurant sucked away behind Rumors cafe for a quick lunch bite. The menu has something for everyone and reasonably priced. For soup noodle dishes, they offer 3 different sizes: Regular, Large, and X-Large. Since I've been craving pho, I went with a large bowl of house pho. My friend ordered a Regular chicken pho. My friend and I shared an order of classic summer roll with clear wrap, pork, shrimp, rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, and side of peanut dipping sauce. It was 2 good size wrap cut to 4 portions, $5. It was perfect little app for 2. The food came quickly and everything was great. My pho was seasoned perfectly and had plenty of noodles and mixed of beef, tripe, and meat balls. It's sad that I have to give this place a low rating. The food is decent. Good flavor for the area. I've now been here 3 times hoping the service would be better. Sadly its not. There's one guy working front of house serving and taking orders. So the service is SLOW at best. Today I got here at 12:30, and ordered a regular size beef pho and blended boba. I was in need of a quick lunch and found Le's Kitchen on Yelp. I came about an hour after the usual lunchtime, so I wasn't surprised that they were fairly empty. I ordered the pho special with tripe and tendon because I've had them before in other places. I also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee unsweetened. The broth was nicely flavored and not spicy, but it came with some fresh jalapeños and basil and bean sprouts on the side. I also added some sriracha because I like spicy food. The service was friendly and efficient, and the pho was delicious. Then I tried the coffee. I usually take milk or cream with coffee, but this coffee was so good and full flavored that it needed nothing. In short, an excellent place for lunch, and, from that, I bet the dinners are just as good. BTW, they have been in business for 2 years, never needed to place an ad. All word of mouth. read more

Went there with my wife and son today for dinner. The bubble tea was delicious! We got taro flavor and also Thai Iced Tea flavor. For appetizers we had the egg rolls and spring rolls. Tasty! Fresh ingredients! For our entrees we shared pho, curry chicken, and bo luc lac (cubed steak). All excellent.
