Cod

This restaurant is ok rating in Paris. We are here because of local recommendation. They also serve escargot. The restaurant is expensive during dinner. We chose to come to lunch special. The menu includes soup with entree. The soup is is butter squash and carrot base. It is a bit sweet. The soup is delicious. The entrée is the cod steak. The cod steak is well pan stirring. It is place green base mash. It is sauce with aioli green sauce. It is also delicious. The presentation of the food is pleasant. The service is just ok. Food come out in the right timing.

Magret de Canard Rôti aux Fruits Secs, Mousseline de Patate Douce (duck)

Came here on Oct 7, I ordered a formule €40 for an entree (appetizer), a plat and dessert. My appetizer was oeuf Bio Mollet, Fondue de Poireaux & Chips de Lard. It had half boiled egg on top of pale green vegetable that was salty. The bacon topping was burnt. My main plate is Magret de Canard Rôti aux Fruits Secs, Mousseline de Patate Douce (pictured). I asked the server what is the recommendation on how it's cooked. He said medium which I was amenable but then he later said "mais, for you maybe medium well". I had forgotten how the temperatures are and completely trusted him. But alas. I should have not. He thought that I would not like it rare but he doesn't know I have eaten medium duck before. Anyway, it was a little tough and I did not think that the mashed sweet potato melded with the duck nor the red onion. It is so disparate even just in sight. And finally the crème brûlée. The saving grace! First of all the size is humongous! Nothing like the dish size of when they serve it up in the US. I thought I had taken a picture but I must have been lulled before I could. It was heavenly!

Came here twice during my most recent Paris trip and the first time was excellent everything-food and service. I use a cane and they even made a special accommodation, so I didn't have to hike up the stairs to use the public restroom. Food was excellent both time with the foie gras being absolutely delicious and the escargot and potatoes being so tender and perfectly seasoned. The only complaint I have is my waiter the second time was less than friendly, but no points marked off because that is more what I would expect attitude wise in Paris. Definitely recommend this place!

I love this place! No matter how busy they are, you will be taken care of. Sitting outside is as charming as sitting inside. Their stuff is very polite and accommodating. The food is consistently good. We've dined here many times before. Last night we had chicken special with vegetables and salmon. Amazing! It's fresh, tasty and the plates look beautiful. The restaurant is trendy, cozy and in a great location. Looking forward to coming back here.

Love this sea bass, creamy tarragon sauce, tender green beans.

Welcoming environment with jazz playing in the background (piped in and not loud), smiling friendly servers, free really good green olives and peanuts with your drink. Delicious reasonably-priced food (almost all under €30 for protein and veggies etc.), comfortable red leather chairs, Parisian view with most chairs facing out enjoying an active street view through the wall of windows (open in nice weather), good cocktails and wines by the glass. Open all day everyday (I think, be sure to confirm). Great option for an early dinner (before many open at 7:00). Embarrassing to admit how often I've returned. Alex and Cliff gave me their names, all have made this my go-to place. That and the sea bass and green beans with extra sauce.

This restaurant is absolutely lovely. My waiter, Matthieu, was wonderful- made it a great experience. Highly recommend!

Ended up here on a Friday evening when I could not get into Le Comptoir across the street. The service is friendly and used to tourists. Food is OK, but not great. Escargot were really good though!

This restaurant in St. Germaine was fabulous. From the moment we walked in we were greeted so nicely. The atmosphere is great. All local patrons. Karina our waitress was excellent and recommended two delicious dishes. We ate every bite of the duck medallions with Morrell sauce and cod with coconut curry sauce. Don't leave Paris without dining here!

Escargot ...delicious!

Stopped by for escargot and wine. It was the first time we've had escargot and we thought it was delicious. Inside of the restaurant smelled great so we will definitely be back. Ambiance, service, neighborhood were all awesome. We plan on staying in the neighborhood next time we're in Paris.

We ended up going with Ava and her boyfriend Yassine, lining up after dinner, around 10:30 on a Friday night. There was a small crowd waiting outside, and it took us about a half hour to get in. The place was fun and busy, and as charming as I remembered. We got seated in a loungey upstairs area and received excellent table service. There was free popcorn and even a complimentary round of welcome drinks, a strong mini cocktail of Gentian and peated whiskey. The menu had changed over completely since my first visit. The cocktail offerings were printed onto thick printed leaves arranged on metal branches, forming a cool little tree centerpiece that replaced a paper menu (there was also a more detailed menu available online). Several of the cocktails were labeled with raindrops, indicating they were available as mocktails--helpful for Yassine, who doesn't drink alcohol. Matt and I shared two rounds, sampling a good chunk of this new menu. Everything was delicious. The Carbone was a bright, interesting cocktail made with beetroot, black garlic, Origin smoked gin, and Dartigalongue Un-Oaked, served with a cube of frozen yogurt that melted lushly into the beet-red drink. The Serre Solaire was smooth and boozy, with black tea, green walnut and milk, Cointreau, and Rémy Martin cognac. The Résilience was a highbrow tropical cocktail, with sorghum, pineapple sage, Pasquet cognac, and Savanna rum. The Permaculture was creative and flavorful, with chestnut, butter, wakame umeshu, and Avallen Calvados. I also tried a sip of Ava's Aquaponie, a light, juicy vodka drink with basil, lemon and sweet clover, St. Germain, and Grey Goose. I love Little Red Door and I'm glad I got to visit a second time and share it with my husband. We do live kind of far away, but I hope a third visit is in the cards.

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

As expected the service was flawless. Immediately upon being seated, a young lady brought us olives and mix nuts in a divided dish. The waiter soon followed to take our initial order. Pro tip- They open at 5 pm so get there 10-15 minutes before to stand in line. We got there at 4:45 and there were several people ahead of us. So, of course, we simply HAD to go check it out on our trip to Paris. Anything David Lynch is part of, I want to see/experience. However, it did not deliver. Sure it was dark (it's a crazy 4-6 stories below ground), but it is mysterious & chic? Well, given that those with a membership can enter from 6p-11p and enjoy it privately and the public can enter after 11p and the public that lines up beginning at 11p kinda ruins the whole vibe, the answer would be a hard no. We arrived and on one side was a line for the dreaded "bottle service" - those willing to pay hundreds and thousands of €, to sit inside a velvet roped area inside the club, Gross. Strike one. We got into the line on the other side, where the bouncers were acting like it was a cross between Studio 54 and an exclusive rap club. They were hassling locals, making them sweat to get in. Then, when it's our turn, they immediately recognize that we're non-locals and speak English to us. They were actually cordial, but said "Good evening sir - - €25 each!" Ugh, strike two. After descending into the cavernous space, which is actually pretty cool, you quickly realize it very small and the seating is all bottle service/"VIP". Then you also realize the crowd is not the hip, creative cognoscenti of Paris, but rather the Parisian version of frat boys and sorority girls, that have zero interest in art, culture and likely have zero idea who David Lynch is. Strike three. Am I glad I went to see it, sure, but I think we stayed 45 mins tops. Ugh.
