Two years ago, I was surprised to be told I needed to pay out of pocket for an exam instead of having it billed to my insurance. I asked that my insurance be processed, and it appears that this disagreement was recorded as a "negative interaction." Recently, I was contacted and told I may not be able to keep my upcoming appointment. I'm also concerned about how this was handled. The manager, Jenn from Willowbrook, contacted me repeatedly in a way that felt excessive. I explained that I was working and unable to take calls, but the tone remained rude and condescending. When I asked what specific concern was being referenced, I was not given a clear explanation of what was allegedly said or done. read more

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I've had consistently bad experiences at this place--specifically with the clinic staff at the reception. The team in the glasses section has always been kind and helpful, but the clinic receptionists are rude and unprofessional every time I visit. They act dismissively, as if they're doing you a favor by helping you, and their attitude completely changes the energy of your visit--even if you walk in with a positive attitude and respectful tone. It honestly feels like dealing with mean high school girls. As someone who works in customer service, I can't understand how people with such poor attitudes get hired to deal with clients. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I truly hope I can find another place to go, because this has become the best place to be treated the worst. read more

This location has been good to me. When my glasses was defective, they helped me replace it with a new one and also changed the nosepads when it was worn out. They have a great selection and I would recommend it to others for the service. They are on the pricey side so it is good to have benefits! read more

LensCrafters - Waiting for glasses nosepad replacement - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

I was in a bit of a mild panic when I realized one of the nose pads on my glasses was looser than normal and had become quite worn over the years. Lacking the proper eyeglass repair kit (and not wanting to tinker with something less I accidentally break it) I Googled the closest location, Oakridge mall. After work I quickly jetted over there and found parking amongst the construction. I ran/speed walked into the store and was promptly greeted by the ladies asking if I needed help. I explained yes I did...I had purchased these glasses at LensCrafters (albeit at a different location) many years prior, and I was wondering if I could get a new set of nose pads. I only had to wait a few minutes before my glasses were returned to me with brand new nosepads and a slight adjustment to make sure they fit. I was so grateful and happy, and (since I was there) I made to purchase a couple of big bottles of cleaning solution before I left. I'm grateful to the ladies that helped me promptly, got me in and out of the store within 5 - 10 minutes, and didn't try to hard sell me anything more, and saved me a lot of worry! Thank you! Though I didn't have time on that particular day to shop for a new pair, I plan on getting a new pair of glasses (even if just for backup) in the future because of the stress-free experience. read more

We don't live in Kerrisdale but my wife had a great experience with Dr Lee and strongly encouraged that I make the commute to see her and I'm so glad I did! I had my appointment with Dr. Lee for a full eye exam and it was a GREAT experience!! I've never had such a thorough eye exam before. Dr. Lee is very professional, friendly and has the ability to explain the medical aspects in simple terms that I can easily understand. I really can't thank her enough for the care she showed me and for all of the information she provided me. She must love helping people and this profession - you'd have to in order to be this INCREDIBLE & AMAZING at it!! I will definitely be back to see Dr Lee annually!! The front office staff was also very professional and friendly - they helped ensure a WONDEFUL experience!! What a great team!! read more

Two thumbs up for this location! This location is smaller than the other ones, but definitely not lacking in Customer service and product knowledge at all! One thing I noticed is a lot of the sales reps from the other LensCrafters locations are pushing products and services. In the world of commission ... I understand that they are just doing their job and trying to make a living. But some things cannot be looked past. A few weeks ago, at another location, we were over charged on two pairs of sunglasses. Apparently with the insurance plan that we have, we do not need to buy prescription lenses in order to make a claim with the insurance company. But this other location INSISTED and charged us saying it was necessary. The sales rep we talked to at the Oakridge location said (and proved) that that information was false. She also said that they are all trained the same, that they should have known this information. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO my new go-to place for eyewear is the Oakridge Mall location. Lesson learnt! read more

Great and amazing service at the Lenscrafters at West 41st. by Jarred the General Manager and Jasvir the Optician . When i bought my eyeglasses and had to come back a few times to get them adjusted they took their time to help me and even suggested to get a different pair. I was totally amazed by their friendly and kind service. I would totally recommend the store to anybody. Thank you so much again. read more

Excellent selection of quality eyewear & customer service! I had my eye exam done here by Dr. Dosanjh and was recommended to Lenscrafters for my new pair of glasses. Li Han was very knowledgeable & patient in providing me great advice on which frames & lenses to choose. Overall, I highly recommend this optical store. read more

For the most part, whatever frames they advertised online are what you will see in store - good luck finding the exact model amongst hundreds of similar looking frames though! The person who helped me was very thorough in her pricing explanations and took great notes about my insurance policy, but she made a huge mistake when sending in my prescription to the lab. That was interesting because she asked me for my prescription to double check before she sent it off, but obviously just glanced over it without looking into the numbers When I went to pick them up, all I saw was blurriness out of one eye. They apologized and said they'll fix it and sent me on my way. Given the inconvenience, I felt they could have done a little bit more... read more

Ordered my glasses mid sept 2020, the associate was friendly and helpful but the after services were very bad. I was told that I will receive a receipt/confirmation/tracking on the day of purchase which I didn't, so I called to inquire about that but was told that I don't need it. I was also told that it will take 2 weeks for the glasses to arrive but I received no calls so I called 3 weeks after the purchase date. I was then told that my glasses haven't arrived and asked to wait for a call back. I called 4 weeks post-purchase and the associate was able to find my order and at this point she told me she will mail my glasses to me which would take 3-4 business days. 1.5 weeks after the supposedly mailing date I called to check as I have yet received my glasses. I was then told the glasses still at the store and I was very surprised. So I told the associate the glasses were supposed to mail out last week. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she ignored and asked impatiently "so do you want them to be mailed or pick up?". I chose mailing and I hope this is the last time dealing with LensCrafters. read more

After getting the run-around and no help for a broken pair of frames purchased just over a year ago at the Metrotown location, I was sent to Oakridge. Sharon is amazing! She apologized for my previous experience and helped me put through a claim on the broken frames. She also got me outfitted with a temporary pair in 90 minutes with a super high prescription. Highly recommend, ask for Sharon!! read more

Came to ask a few questions about getting glasses and the woman who worked there was incredibly helpful and answered every question I had. I'll be going back there to purchase my glasses. they have an excellent selection of frames and even sell contacts here. read more

I've shopped at Lenscrafters before - but never have I been the one purchasing the glasses. I have to say that everything was wonderful. I had gone there and seen the pair I wanted. When I came back to purchase them they weren't there and they kindly called around to other stores to see if they could bring them in for me. When I went into see the glasses again I had no intention of buying them. Yet, they were having a promotion at the time and it was a no brainer. My D&G glasses + Frames (plus extra coating and a 1-year frame/lens warranty) cost me only $375. To my excitement they were even able to make them within 1-hour, even though I had arrived at 8pm and they close at 9pm. Talk about instant gratification. They also cleaned my boyfriends glasses as an added bonus. Great service! read more

My husband and I have been going to Lenscrafters for more than a decade to get prescription eyewear. We were attracted by their "AccuFit digital measurement system to determine the exact location of your pupil; this measures your eyes five times more accurately than traditional methods to help determine the ideal position of your prescription, making your glasses and your vision a perfect fit for you." This past weekend we went in to get new glasses only to discover that Accufit is no longer used even though still advertised on their website. Now they use Ipads to do the sizing and measurement. Also when we went to pay, we were told that glasses ship from south of the border; Lenscrafters no longer has manufacturing facilities in Canada! Then we went to pay at the station where we were fitted but couldn't use debit or credit there as the machines were American and didn't have chip technology! This will be our last trip to Lenscrafters. We will seek out Canadian based business who use Canadian facilities and banking systems. read more

So my glasses got loose, and I purchased them from here. Two days ago I went to go get it fixed and the lady was so bad at doing so. She made the nose of the glasses crooked and the legs, she also kinda dislocated a leg a little bit. I went the next day and another lady said the dislocated leg is probably because of your prescription, that makes no sense! Only thing she fixed was the tightness, she didn't even care to fix the crooked nose of the glasses!!! It's like they completely ignore me saying it's crooked! I thought they were suppose to be professionals... This is my first experience with them and I expected better! read more

The staff at the store was nice and friendly but when I had an issue with my spectacle then that's a different story. customer service is definitely disappointing! Just when I thought the general manager Jarred collet could help I couldn't be more wrong. Not only did he not resolve my issue and concern but to just throw out the please contact customer care and provided me with an email that doesn't even exist! What a laugh and such an automated service. They just do their part of checking "their systems" and telling you it is 100% accurate as they use accufit systems in hope that they can brush you off! If this is customer service then I am definitely speechless! read more

The staff at Oakridge LensCrafters are on commission and treat customers accordingly. I am a white male and I was abandoned by a female Asian sales associate in favour of female Asian customer because I was looking at the $99 frame and lens package and the female Asian was looking at a $175 frame and lens package. It's not often I feel discriminated against because of race and economics. The experience left me feeling insulted and disrespected. read more

I had the best experience here! Super friendly and helpful staff who genuinely helped me select frames that worked for my face shape and personal style- and they made it fun. I had my new glasses in an hour, too. Very impressed and appreciated since I'm leaving on a road trip this week. read more

went back for some adjustment, different staff helped me and still very professional, very patient. I am super happy with them :)

I would definitely go elsewhere. The frame quality, despite being priced as high end, is actually quite poor. I bought a $600 pair of glasses with a Burberry frame, and within a week the sides started to chip and rust...!? Returned them, and went elsewhere. I won't name the place for fear of being called out as an "ad" for this place, but you can go elsewhere and find frames that are better quality for literally 1/4 of the price. I got 2 pairs of new glasses, with the same lens coating etc., for $300 total. Overall, Lenscrafters is pricey and the quality does not match the price. read more

I received the best service and the staff took a great deal of time helping me choose the correct style of frames. They even gave me extra Burberry cases to match my handbags. I had expected to pay for them but they insisted on just giving them to me. Very kind, patient, generous people. Highly professional. read more

Public needs to be warned. I went and bought a pair of glasses on Saturday morning. When I pick up the new glasses that afternoon, I've decided to have the lenses on my old pair to be replace as well. Couple ours later, I start to feel headache, and when I took off the glasses, there's a deep indentation on both my temples. Naturally, I went back to get it adjusted, because I really like the sleek Prada frame. The technician on duty was unprofessional, incompetent and obviously does not care about my new $500 glasses. I told her my situation of my glasses being too tight. She took my glasses, and start bending the temple INWARD without heating it up. I was stunned by the action, but I calmly said "You are making it tighter". She replies "Try it", so I did, and "surprisingly", it is tighter. She bent the temple outwards, then inwards, then repeats a couple more times, and finally said "It looks good on you, maybe you want to try it for a week then decide". By this time, I was furious on the inside. I've spent $500 dollar on a pair of new glasses, but 2 hours later, the temple of the glasses is crooked, and twisted. As a calm person, I took the advice and went home. After a night of headache from the now even tighter glasses and insomnia from regretting to have brought it back for adjustment, I've decided to return the glasses next day, Sunday at 2pm. The sales supervisor was there with the same technician. After I've made the return with the help of the supervisor, I asked if I could have my old pair of glasses back while they wait for the lens shipment. The technician told us that she had thrown out my old lenses because they were too dirty. I can tell that the supervisor was in shock as well. I thought that I had no option but to wait, so I asked the supervisor if I could have it rushed. Supervisor was nice enough to ask the technician to call the nearest store at Richmond Centre to check for stock, unfortunately no one on the other side of the phone has picked up. It seemed like I had no other choice but to go home, so I just asked the supervisor to call me as soon as it's done. Next day, Monday, I spent the whole day at work without glasses, everything is blurry, and uncomfortable. They did not call me, so I went straight there to check on the status only to find out that not only did they not get the lenses from Richmond Centre location, the wait time seem to have become longer (From 1 week to 10 days). Joanna, being a very helpful staff, saw my frustration and offered to pick it up on her own time before she gets to work the next day. (I am truly thankful for her help, and I apologize to her if my attitude scared her a little). She kept her word, and I did get my glasses the next day. read more

Helpful staff at the store, but dismal performance in meeting their promised delivery of my new glasses. They have contacted me a few times to let me know there will be more delay, always with new excuses for "the lab" that is supposed to be making them for me. Definitely in the "over-promise/under-deliver" service model. So, stay away if you actually need the product you're ordering read more

I purchased two pairs of glasses and had an issue with the lens when they came in. Jarred and Michelle went out of their way to fix the situation to make sure I was 100% completely satisfied with my purchase. I was amazed at their patience level and appreciated both their customer service and professionalism. I had purchased two pairs of glasses from Michelle five years earlier and returned solely based on my experience at the time. Based on my experience this time, It looks like I will be purchasing my glasses from them for the rest of my life. Thanks again to Jarred, Michelle and the entire team at Lenscrafters Oakridge Mall :) read more

I went into redeem a "gift of sight" letter that I had received, they showed me the glasses that were available through that program but then told me I was ineligible since the government will cover the cost of a pair of glasses but even with the cheapest pair of frames they had they told me I would have to pay about $23 which I couldn't afford so I ended up having to leave without anything. The Optometry place that did my eye exam across the hall waived a fee I would have had to pay despite having coverage because of the gift of sight letter(the gift of sight letter is from lenscrafters not this particular Optometry clinic) I ended up having to wait for a new pair of glasses. I can respect that they would want me to use the coverage that the government provides but it was a huge let down being that the eye doctor across the hall waived the fee I would have had to pay and I waited an entire week for that apt and thought I was going to walk out of lenscrafters with glasses. I was in a really bad situation as well, I'm on disability and don't get a whole lot through the government, which I'm not complaining about but I ended up homeless shortly after this, it was 2013, these were among the most challenging months in my life, I've since managed to start pulling things together. I was just reminded about this while doing a review for another company but I saw the lenscrafters ad so I figured I'd leave a review, this happens to be the exact location I went to as well. They knew as well that I couldn't even afford $23 but it really wasn't a concern for the person I spoke with. Again I can understand they want to save this for people that have no coverage but she was completely cold about it which is why I only gave one star. I appreciated that they would consider me for this program but being that it's a Charitable program it was interesting to see her total lack of empathy in telling me I wasn't eligible due to government benefits then telling me I would have to pay $23 in addition to what the government pays, couldnt afford that but she was just so cold about it, it clearly didn't matter to her one way or the other. I was already self conscious about using a charitable program, ashamed like I'm nothing but a drag on society, I was certainly left with the impression that she felt the same. read more

I spent about $ 650.00 on a new pair of Burberry eyeglasses. The arms of the glasses started unfurling . The glue and the fabric came apart in sheds. In 2 weeks. I went in to the store and they said they would give my another pair but it would probably fall apart again. I had no other choice. This is my first experience with Lenscrafters. They said the glasses were made in China and they had no say over quality control. Really ? $650.00 and you have can not assure a certain amount of quality control. Not good. Bad quality. Bad customer service. The public should be alerted. read more

i have never written a negative review in my life so i would take me seriously when i say that i would be very wary of doing business with these people. i purchased glasses approx one year ago together with replacement insurance on the frames. the frames broke a month ago and i was told that they could not replace the frames despite the insurance because they no longer carried the brand that i had purchased. when i inquired further with the manager i was told that in fact they had discontinued the brand 14 months ago, 2 months before i even purchased the glasses and that they could not do anything for me save for giving me a discount on a brand new pair of glasses ( costing over 260 dollars). they seemed incapable of understanding the irony and ignorance of selling me replacement insurance on glasses that i could never have replaced. I told them that i would never do business with them again. Ridiculously bad customer service. read more
