They are tucked away on the 8th floor of the office building at Georgia and Cardero, which makes it a quiet, professional spot away from the street noise. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in. I was specifically looking for help with a minor fix for my ic! berlin glasses, and they handled the unique hinge system with ease. My appointment was with Dr Chan. She took great care of me, and displayed thoroughness, professionalism and consideration during my exam. The office is beautiful and modern, with a spectacular view. Heads up - ask ahead of time if your exam includes eyedrops for pupil dilation. If so, be sure to bring sunglasses AND have them at the ready when you exit the office! read more

Great, simple eye exam experience. I could book a time online (game changer, so easy) and automatically get appointment reminder. Dr. Wong was great. Got to the point, nice guy. They can email you the receipt and prescription. Pricing is reasonable esp for this area. Its right on Georgia near Coal Harbour and Stanley Park so traffic can be annoying. read more

It has been two years since my experience with this clinic. Not too long ago the optometrist emailed me after reading my review. That took me completely by surprise since it had been so long. I had assumed they would not care what one person had to say. In fact, I was incorrect. He made a point of apologizing for the customer service which for me was a huge bone of contention because let's face it people service is more import ant than money. Where you spend it well, determines if you go there again. I am glad to hear that those points that I had so much trouble with on my visits there were addressed. He went completely out of the way for me and I appreciate that considering I do not reside in Vancouver. I only have to go back every couple of years to get my eye exam. Very courteous & professional staff and Dr. Wong is outstanding. My exam is always thorough yet doesn't take very long. He made some helpful suggestions and also gave me some samples of contact lenses and eye drops to try. Nice selection of glasses and sunglasses to check out while you wait. I'm standing at the "Clearly" store with one of two pairs of glasses. My "work to see the big monitor on the wall" glasses are way too scratched for being 5-6 months old and only ever hanging on my neck and head for use. The lenses are standard made in "polycarbonate" and sold as scratch resistant. Clearly insinuates I obviously did more actual damage than hanging the glasses and then only offers to have me buy a complete pair for $80 (a complete exact crappy pair). No. I get they are a "bargain" place but note the lack of quality by taking a moment to see how misaligned the scratched left lens is even in the frames from the right. In the meantime I use yelp and locate this fantastic store. The person on the phone approximates replacing lenses as $119 so I immediately head over and discover I visited in 2013! The informative person I spoke with (Crystal) advises that yes the lenses in the very scratched pair are polycarbonate (like butter) and the lenses they provide are way better and more durable. While there I chose to upgrade frames and lenses to a all-in-one for $199! They're gorgeous. And they suggest they will be ready in 2-3 biz days. Wow. I ever so sad to have been waylaid to a "cheaper" crappy place and way pleased to have rediscovered these peeps. Words dont say how glad I am. And the care and attention! read more

Pretty disappointed by this place. I've had a lot of problems with contact lenses and paid extra to go through a series of lens trials here. However, after a couple visit I started feeling like the staff was frustrated with me and annoyed that I hadn't found a lens that was right. I'm a regular here, if having an appointment every year to get my eyes checked out qualifies me as such, and I have always appreciated the service and care. I never had to wait when I had an appointment, and Dr Wong took time to answer any questions. The rest of the staff has always been very friendly, and I've often been able to get a good deal on my yearly supply of contacts as they were always helpful in alerting me of any offers the different brands had. The contacts that I've been recommended fit great and are comfortable, and I feel like my eye sight is in very good hands here. read more

Love this place. They have a great selection of hip eyewear and the staff there (Tammy) is very knowledgeable and patient. Dr. Wong was very thorough and took the time to explain the exam results as well as offer advice on maintaining optimal eye health. Dr. Wong is a great optometrist. He is friendly, caring and very competent. He makes you feel comfortable during the eye exam and has all the patience to answer the questions. I've been going to him for exams for 6 years now. However, he needs to change his support staff. His receptionist called to book an appointment today - I had to repeat everything to her 3 times and in the end of the conversation, she just burst laughing.She was one ear listening to her colleague and the other ear listening to me during the conversation. It's great when people have fun and good times at work but this phone call was lacking professionalism. read more

I went in for comprehensive eye exam. Great experience. Staff are welcoming and Dr. Wong was courteous, friendly, thorough and very informative. Turned out that I had an eye infection from contact lens over-wear. Even though he did do a complete vision exam, he told me to come back the following week free of charge so he can do another exam as part of my blurry vision was due to the infection. I don't really know what the last reviewer was talking about... I've been to many optometry places that were way worse. The optometrist here is thorough, friendly, and professional. I came in, they helped me select the perfect eyeglasses, and that's it. So easy. I highly recommend this place. read more

I waited 45 minutes after my appointed time for an eye exam. The exam itself was thorough and professional. A week later I had to call them for an update, as they hadn't gotten back to me. They claimed the computer lost my prescription, and said they would look into it. I had to call back the next day when I was told they'd found it. The fact that they didn't bother to call me back saying they'd found it was a bit of a slight. Further to the above error, I had to wait an extra week before I could get authorization from my insurer because they hadn't sent in the forms. When I was finally authorized and able to get my glasses, I went in with a pair of frames that I wanted the lenses put into. They took them and said it would be 3-5 days. As soon as I got home (a 20 minute walk) they called and said they'd forgotten to take a measurement and that I needed to come back in. Your mileage may vary, but this string of events has me looking elsewhere for future vision care. read more

Dr. Wong is absolutely wonderful, I first saw him a couple years ago when I had something stuck in my eye, he saw me right away and was able to get the fiber out. Ever since then I've been going to him for regular eye exams, his staff is very helpful and friendly as well. Dr. Wong really made my eye exam easy and informative. He gave me great information about progressive lens and he uses up-to-date eye exam equipment (which is really clean!).
